Jaswa earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in biology at Stanford University, where she received the Joshua Lederberg Award for Academic Excellence and J.E. Wallace Sterling Award for Scholastic Achievement. She earned her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College, where she received the John Metcalf Polk Prize and William J. Ledger Prize in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UCSF, followed by three years of advanced fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Reflecting her commitment to integrating proven methods into her practice, she also earned a master of advanced studies degree in clinical research from UCSF.

Jaswa lives in Woodside with her husband, Sujay, and their three daughters. She enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running, yoga, biking and dancing with her children.
