Dr. Paul R. Gindoff is highly regarded for his expertise as an infertility specialist and reproductive endocrinologist.
He specializes in a comprehensive range of fertility-related treatments and services and enjoys a prominent international reputation in assisted reproductive technology treatment. Dr. Gindoff practiced as a tenured Full Professor on faculty at George Washington University, Division Director at the affiliated Medical Faculty Associates, Inc. and practiced at the Washington Fertility Center; all serving the Washington, DC community including Maryland and Northern Virginia, before returning to NYC to found Chelsea Fertility NYC.

Dr. Gindoff attended New York University (’77 BA, Summa Cum Laude) and New York University School of Medicine (’81, MD) where he graduated with highest honors and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his graduate medical training residency and Chief residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology in New York City at the Sloane Hospital for Women at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center of Columbia University. He subsequently completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at the Sloane Hospital for Women as well. During his fellowship, Dr. Gindoff received the prestigious Mead-Johnson Award for his clinical research in polycystic ovarian disease.
Dr. Gindoff is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology in both Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as in the sub-specialty of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. His expertise includes ovulation induction, fertility drugs, assisted reproduction, third party reproduction, male fertility factor, ICSI, pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, repetitive pregnancy loss, poor ovarian reserve, fertility treatments in older women and hysteroscopic surgery for reproductive conditions.

In addition to his acclaimed clinical work, Dr. Gindoff has been actively involved in education and research in the subspecialty. He is consistently acclaimed for his ability to mentor and facilitate learners at the medical student, resident, fellows and junior faculty level and has been awarded multiple research grants. He has dozens of peer reviewed publications that have been valued with high impact in the subspecialty notably in ovarian reserve, treatment of older women, ICSI, blastocyst transfer and PGD. His present research is in the field of personalized medicine; specifically, pharmacogenomics and how it can be used to match fertility medications with patient response. Dr. Gindoff has served as a Board Examiner for the American Board of OB/GYN and currently serves on the Editorial Board of Fertility Sterility medical journal.

Dr. Gindoff and his wife Michelle are native New Yorkers and have four grown children, Dara, Ian and twins Sam and Brian. They enjoy family holidays and celebrations, especially in Upstate New York where they can enjoy cooking, kayaking and hiking. Dr. Gindoff a long time hockey fan, looks forward to rekindling his childhood passion for the Rangers as he returns now to his hometown to continue his professional career.
