The University of North Carolina is known as one of the finest universities in the country. It has received recognition worldwide for its medical services year after year and, with its strong reputation for obstetrics and gynecology, UNC Fertility is no exception.

All of the faculty members at UNC’s Fertility Clinic are Board-Certified in both Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, meaning they have completed a two- to three-year fellowship program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and have passed a rigorous set of four board examinations. In addition, all have full-time or clinical faculty appointments and are integral in the instruction of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellows, OB-GYN residents and medical students here at UNC.

Our distinct fellowship training program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is approved by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This highly competitive program provides an intensive subspecialty training experience in clinical care and in basic, translational and clinical research. It is one of the very few to have all of its graduates achieve subspecialty certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Graduates have gone on to begin new subspecialty practices and work in academic or private practices across the country.

To us, unlocking the mysteries of reproduction is a continual source of enthusiasm. Thanks to our affiliation with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, we are able to not just witness but lead key advancements in the field on a daily basis. Opened in 2013, our state-of-the-art facility features a HEPA air filtration system, four fully equipped treatment rooms, two ultrasound machines and an on-site laboratory, allowing us to leverage the most recent science and directly benefit our patients.

With dedicated physicians, embryologists, and a nursing staff of four with specific expertise in IVF and three full-time medical assistants, there is always someone to answer your question, explain a procedure or ask, “How are you doing today?”  Often referred to as a family-like environment, everyone at the clinic shares the common goal of making your goal — to enter into parenthood — reality. UNC Fertility is also proud to be named as a Nursing Center for Excellence; recognized by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). This recognition is due to the passion and dedication of our nursing team and their commitment to earning specific credentials through ASRM.

We understand that certain emotions and considerations may come into play at different times for everyone, and go out of our way to ease anxiety and make patients’ experience as pleasant as possible. We make it convenient for long-distance patients to monitor treatment progress close to their home, we provide detailed financial counseling on everything from insurance coverage to payment programs, and we will never pressure you. Patients are at liberty to make educated decisions at their own pace; our job is to provide you with all of the information and guidance you need to make those choices.
