Dr. Winkler is amazing. We came to her from another doctor, and she was kind about everything and guided us through the entire process. We now have a 15-month-old son. She is wonderful.

Dr. Winkler helped my husband and me fulfill our dream of becoming parents. She is the only fertility doctor we met who was willing to take a chance and think “outside the box.” Before seeing the highly recommended Dr. Winkler, we consulted two other fertility doctors. I was 43 at the time. I came to Dr. Winkler feeling frustrated and tired of being repeatedly told that my “eggs were too old” and that the embryos could not be transferred because they were “genetically abnormal.” One doctor told me that I “needed to start considering donor eggs,” or it would “be too late and I would regret it.” My husband and I were not ready to give up on trying to have our own biological children. After reviewing my previous 3 IVF cycles and the doctors' notes, Dr. Winkler was realistic while also supporting my goal. Although she was very honest about the IVF statistics for women my age, she gave me hope by sharing my belief that we should ethically do everything possible to achieve our goal. She decided to try a completely different protocol and encouraged me to continue the fertility acupuncture I had begun. The fertility doctors I saw before Dr. Winkler had little regard for traditional Eastern medicine and kept repeating the same protocol, which clearly was not working for me. Dr. Winkler's first cycle produced better results than the previous three cycles with other doctors. Although the genetic quality was still not ideal, some embryos were transferable. Dr. Winkler gently and honestly advised me not to get my hopes too high in case the transfers failed. Around that time, I read an article about a woman whose doctor had taken a chance on some aneuploid embryos and who later had a healthy baby. I asked Dr. Winkler whether we could consider transferring one embryo with a segmental abnormality. She was hesitant at first, but after getting to know my husband's and my values over time, Dr. Winkler agreed to transfer that embryo along with the other 3 embryos we selected, some of which were untested. One week later, after a nerve-racking night, we saw two beautiful lines on the pregnancy test. We were ecstatic. We proceeded cautiously, prayed, and completed every genetic test. All the results were normal. Today, I am 45, my husband is 47, and we are the happy parents of healthy 3-month-old twins. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Winkler and her wonderful professional staff, especially Maribel, for helping make our dream a reality.

Before meeting Dr. Winkler, I visited reputable clinics including SCRC, Fertility Surgical Associates, and Women's Health Group of Ventura. At each one, I felt dismissed. I was insulted at one appointment and did not feel I received enough information. So I began searching for an excellent doctor, and that is exactly what I found. I traveled from Ventura to see Dr. Winkler because she was worth it! Dr. Winkler was very patient and answered all my questions. She met with me personally by video, regular phone calls, and email. She is highly knowledgeable and worked tirelessly to provide personalized care. I had a terrible HSG experience, and the doctor told me I was infertile. Dr. Winkler sensed that something was wrong and referred me to her specialist. I was nervous but trusted her, and her doctor's procedure was painless. The diagnosis showed that I had two healthy fallopian tubes. If I had not listened to her, my fertility journey might have ended there. She advocates for her patients. I had three unsuccessful IUI procedures. After making a plan with Dr. Winkler, I tried IVF and became pregnant with my first child. After this baby is born, I have another healthy embryo waiting, and I will gladly work with Dr. Winkler again. One piece of advice: Dr. Winkler works with Dr. Calan as a team, and if Dr. Winkler is not in the office, Dr. Calan is the doctor you will see. He is also excellent, but less patient and always on the move, so write down your questions and keep them handy for appointments with Dr. Calan. Overall, fertility treatment is an extremely difficult time. Dr. Winkler held my hand and made me feel supported throughout my three-year journey. I highly recommend her as a fertility specialist!

Dr. Winkler and her team are outstanding. Nurse Ivanna was especially helpful and responsive during this stressful journey! I became pregnant after my first frozen embryo transfer and have nearly completed my first trimester. Dr. Winkler is kind and attentive. I also appreciated that my appointments started on time, with almost no waiting. Unlike other medical appointments, with Dr. Winkler you are seen at your scheduled time without a long wait. I am truly grateful! Ivanna also responded quickly whenever I had a question, which made the process much less stressful. Thank you, Dr. Winkler and Ivanna! Mark and I appreciate all your help!

Dr. Winkler is compassionate, easy to communicate with, and most importantly, excellent at her job. We had two confirmed pregnancies after transfers and have just welcomed our little one. We are thrilled!

I would give Dr. Winkler 2 to 2.5 stars. She did a good job with my egg retrieval and embryo PGT-A testing. However, during two frozen embryo transfers (FETs), she was extremely pessimistic and pushed surrogacy so strongly that I felt she might be receiving a referral fee from a surrogacy agency. I eventually switched doctors and became pregnant after my first frozen embryo transfer with the new doctor. I now have a beautiful daughter. I would not recommend Dr. Winkler to my friends or family. Dr. Kalan was wonderful, and I felt very comfortable seeing him. I wish I had gone to him from the beginning. I spent a great deal of money with Dr. Winkler that could have gone toward a more open-minded doctor.
