I've been coming here since I was 16; I'm now 31. Jaki Lockwood and Dr. Seeker are great. My annual visits are always good—I feel heard and understood and feel that I get ample time with my provider. However, their scheduling and responses to issues between appointments leave a lot to be desired. The staff/nurses who respond through the messaging portal have me seriously considering changing practices, which is unfortunate after so long.

In the U.S., medical care can sometimes make you feel like just a number, but Dr. Fiona Esfandiari provided a personal touch that truly made a difference. She took the time to explain how we could address my situation and genuinely listened to my concerns. She answered all my questions thoroughly. I feel fortunate to have received her care and highly recommend her. I also recommend her attentive staff, who were helpful and considerate throughout the process.

Dr. Uribe changed my life. I am 29 and had pelvic floor prolapse for 4.5 years. He was the seventh doctor I saw and the only one who truly gave me hope and a real plan to solve the problem. I had surgery last month, and he was excellent throughout the process.

I have come here for annual gynecology appointments since 2021 and will remain a patient as long as possible. The office is always very clean and well maintained, and the Keurig machine is a nice touch.
Although the gynecologist I saw for my first three years is no longer at the practice, I recently met Jaki Lockwood, who immediately made me comfortable. I am transgender, so finding medical care that feels safe can be difficult. AAOBGYN has consistently made me feel safe over the years. I recommend them to anyone looking for a new gynecologist.

I have been going to Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Fertility for nearly 20 years. They delivered all my children, and I love everyone there. Every nurse and provider is knowledgeable, takes time with you, and helps resolve concerns. They are very kind and helpful. I cannot praise them highly enough!

I have been going to AAOBGYN for over 20 years. I no longer work in Austin, so it is a bit of a drive for me to come in each year. However, I love the relationship I have with Kelly, one of Dr. Seeker's NPs. Parking is not always easy, but they do offer free valet service, which is wonderful! I plan to keep going until Kelly retires or one of us moves away from the area!

My husband and I were amazed by the care provided by Dr. Seeker and his staff. We lost our first son in infancy and, after receiving many positive recommendations, decided to transfer to Dr. Seeker. Their genuine care and sensitivity to our situation led them to enroll us in a program that supports families who have experienced something similar as we approached our second child's due date. Highly recommended!

As a new patient, this clinic absolutely did not impress me. Patiently waited for my appointment to have them cancel 24 hours before. Understand that it happens but then they couldn't see me for another 2 weeks. As a healthcare professional myself, please do better to be more accommodating especially when cancelations are on your end. Also not to mention, I'm getting texts about having a $2,242 bill on my account before ever being seen. 0/5 stars.

I just moved to Austin a month ago and found that my insurance will cover my visits here. After looking at their reviews I had no doubt I wanted to come here. I get seen by Dr. Cowan and let me tell you he’s an amazing doctor! He listens, he cares, and this nurses are the best…so caring and loving!! I’ve had a procedure done a week ago without any issues and my post-op appointment went great also!! 100% recommend this office!!

I love this clinic and have been a patient here for 25 years. From Dr. Uribe to his physician assistants and nurse practitioners, I have always been treated with respect and care. I was glad to discuss my laboratory results with Natalie through telehealth rather than having to visit the clinic in person. She was very thorough and highly knowledgeable about medication interactions. I will always recommend Dr. Uribe and his team!

The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. At every prenatal visit, I could see the baby or hear the heartbeat, which was both reassuring and exciting as a first-time mother. I brought my mother and mother-in-law to an appointment, and the nurses were very kind to all of us. They took extra time to show the excited grandmothers the baby and explain what we were seeing. They left thrilled and also loved meeting Dr. Seeker!

Dr. Asher-Walsh and her team are wonderful! I came here for my second pregnancy, and the experience was far better than my first at another hospital. They cared for and supported me throughout and patiently answered my questions at every step. At each appointment, I felt heard and never rushed. The entire team made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout pregnancy and delivery. I am so glad I found them!

I have taken time off work twice to see Dr. E. Both times, I waited in the waiting room for more than an hour without ever seeing the doctor, only to be told I would have to wait at least another 40 minutes. Why schedule an appointment in the first place? I waited several months to see her, time I could have used to find a doctor who would actually see me. I would not recommend this clinic. I understand that emergencies happen, so even after waiting nearly two hours, I readily agreed to reschedule. When I arrived today, the nurse told me the situation and my experience would be different. It was not.

Although there was a minor issue with the check-in QR code, she still gave me ample time to feel fully evaluated, heard, and understood. They are amazing! The doctor is amazing! Dr. Rogers was excellent during my appointment. She explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and gave me the help I truly needed. I recently experienced an ectopic pregnancy and had to have surgery, which was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. During this time, Dr. Landherr and the team at AAOBGYN were there for me in a way I truly appreciate.
Dr. Landherr was knowledgeable and took care of my medical needs during an incredibly overwhelming situation. The staff was kind and supportive, and I felt like I was in good hands throughout everything.
I’m very thankful for the care I received during such a scary and emotional experience.

I had an incredibly positive experience throughout my entire pregnancy journey, and I’m truly grateful for the exceptional care I received. Every appointment was handled with patience, and all my concerns—big or small—were addressed with clarity and reassurance. What stood out the most was the Dr Esfandiari’s dedication and calm approach, especially during critical moments. It made a huge difference in reducing stress and building confidence throughout the pregnancy.

My family and I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Julia Gutierrez during one of the hardest moments of my aunt's life: a miscarriage. Losing a baby is heartbreaking, and we expected compassion, understanding, and professional support. Unfortunately, that is not what we received.
Throughout the process, Dr. Gutierrez seemed cold, dismissive, and lacking in basic doctor-patient communication skills. Instead of recognizing the physical and emotional pain my aunt was experiencing, she appeared rushed and indifferent. While my aunt was grieving the loss of her baby, she needed a doctor who could offer comfort, guidance, and understanding. Instead, she felt as though her miscarriage was treated as nothing more than a routine visit.
Most upsetting was her casual comment, "Try again next month." Hearing something so dismissive after a miscarriage felt deeply hurtful and callous. We understand that healthcare professionals encounter this situation regularly, but patients do not. For a family, miscarriage is an intensely personal and heartbreaking experience that deserves compassion and respect.
No patient should leave the office after such a traumatic event feeling ignored, belittled, or emotionally unsupported. We left shocked by the lack of empathy from the medical staff and disappointed with the overall care. I hope this feedback encourages healthcare professionals to be more mindful of patients experiencing miscarriage, because care and compassion are just as important as medical treatment.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend Dr. Gutierrez to anyone seeking a doctor who provides emotional support and understanding during difficult reproductive health issues.

Dr. Gutierrez cared for me through two pregnancies, and I cannot thank her and her team enough. She is candid and direct, which suits me perfectly. She gladly answered all my questions, patiently explained her reasoning, and never pressured me into any decision.
I am very happy to have such an excellent OB-GYN!

The clinic and nurses are good. The doctor uses her authority as a physician to make decisions for me. If you question her decisions, she does not explain them; she humiliates you instead. I did not feel respected as an adult woman and was scolded like a child who knew nothing.

During my appointment with Dr. Gutierrez, I felt that my pain and specific requests were not given adequate attention. The appointment began about 40 minutes late. During the visit, I repeatedly said that I was still in pain, but the doctor did not seem to acknowledge it. I was not seeking an immediate solution; I wanted clear communication and reassurance that my concerns were being taken seriously.
As an African American woman, this experience was especially concerning because I felt my symptoms did not receive the attention they deserved.
After the visit, the issues we discussed were not included in my medical record summary. The record was updated only after I followed up and requested detailed documentation. The condition that prompted my original visit worsened, and I later had to return for the same problem.
Based on my experience, I do not feel my concerns were fully considered. I should add that the nurses were very kind.

I sent my girlfriend to a dermatologist but forgot that this hospital’s dermatology referrals are restricted to its in-house dermatologist. We scheduled another dermatologist covered by her insurance, whose earliest appointment was six months away, only to learn at the hospital that the referral covered only the in-house dermatologist.
The staff member who answered today was also unhelpful. I called for the referral number; she said she would send it but deliberately omitted the authorization number required for the referral and seemed eager to end the call.
Our country needs universal health care now. Support universal health care!

Thanks to her skill, patience, and compassion, my surgery to remove a fibroid larger than 13 cm was very successful. I felt supported and encouraged from the beginning and feel incredibly fortunate. I love Dr. G! She and her team are amazing. She is direct, candid, and straight to the point. That may not suit everyone, but I love her. She truly guided me step by step throughout pregnancy and postpartum because she knew I was anxious. It can be hard to find a compassionate doctor who understands how I feel, but Dr. H and her team excel at this. Her nurse Lily is wonderful, kind, and welcoming, and I am always happy to see her at prenatal visits. Highly recommended!

What truly impressed me were the small details. I loved being able to book online even as a new patient. The nurse who recorded my medical history was kind and reassuring. They have a dedicated changing area with a curtain, so you do not have to worry about someone entering while you change. It is stocked with tissues and baby wipes. They provide cloth gowns and a small cloth drape for your legs. There is paper on the table, but they place an absorbent pad on the seating area, so you do not have to worry about the paper crinkling when you move or sticking to you if you sweat from nerves. Dr. Gutierrez herself is very friendly, explains things well, and has an excellent bedside manner.
One thing I had not encountered before was the nurse saying that Dr. Gutierrez usually performs an ultrasound in addition to a Pap smear. That explained why an internal ultrasound probe was already set up beside the table when I entered the examination room. If you are planning an annual Pap smear, you may want to check your insurance coverage for the ultrasound before your visit.
When I moved to Texas, my primary care provider said I needed a Pap smear even though I am asexual and have never engaged in any kind of sexual activity. Dr. Gutierrez clarified that it was not necessary. She was completely nonjudgmental and let me decide whether I still wanted to proceed. If you are asexual, I highly recommend Dr. Gutierrez!

I am very satisfied with the care from my doctor Julia and her assistants or nurses, Lily and Adelita. The referral process was very quick and easy, and the treatment was excellent. I am extremely grateful to have found this doctor and everyone around her. Thank you 🙏

I do not recommend this doctor. I wanted to continue seeing her as my OB-GYN, but from week 9 of my pregnancy, she began pressuring me and pushing for a planned cesarean delivery that I did not want. None of my questions or concerns were taken seriously. She called me a difficult patient and said she would consider transferring me to another doctor.
I found her behavior completely unprofessional and did not feel that she wanted the best for my baby and me.
I chose her based on Google reviews, but she did not work out for me.

One of the worst doctors at this hospital. She is by far the most aggressive, rude, and alarmist doctor. She only wants to increase the number of deliveries and has no compassion for patients. Fortunately, we encountered her only while she was on call. I would absolutely not recommend her.
