I had a great experience with Drs. Orakowski and Ravins. My prenatal care and delivery options were thoroughly explained at every office and hospital visit. Any changes or complications were explained in detail so I understood all my options and the best care plan. Highly recommended!

Dr. Ravins is amazing! I appreciate his dedication during my difficult delivery and his thorough, old-school style of care. I cannot thank Dr. Steven Ravins enough for supporting me throughout pregnancy. My first pregnancy was physically very difficult, and I feared repeating the experience. From the start, he encouraged me and left me confident after every visit. I ultimately needed induction because of high blood pressure, but he kept me calm and explained every process in detail. In short, my delivery went very smoothly—better than expected—and even my recovery was easy. Words cannot express my gratitude for such a positive experience.

Dr. Ravins is an outstanding surgeon. My C-section went very smoothly, and I had almost no postoperative pain. By the next day, I could walk and care for my baby. I had a very positive induction experience. I was 1 cm dilated and felt mild contractions like menstrual cramps. The doctor began with a small tablet inserted into the cervix, which dilated me to 1.2 cm within 4 hours. After another 4 hours, they inserted a catheter. It did not hurt but felt strange. The catheter brought me to 5 cm without an epidural. I requested the epidural only because I did not want severe pain and needed to remain active, so I received it before the pain intensified. I felt nothing during the epidural except the anesthetic needle, which felt like a regular injection. Afterward I felt good. I could still feel some contractions, but they were not as severe.

Dr. Reven and the staff were excellent. When I came to the hospital, I told them I would not have a cesarean section under any circumstances. They respected this and recommended an epidural, which was very helpful. I was in severe pain before delivery, but the epidural helped me give birth smoothly. I am glad I chose the best hospital and staff.

I was recently there for a visit checked in at least 15 minutes early and waited over an hour to be seen. Not only was I greeted by blank stares and fake eyelashes, the front desk staff seems to be very unhelpful and I didn't feel very welcome there. I waited over an hour and then had to go up to the front desk to ask if they had any information on whether and when I would be seen. After that the girl with the laptop comes out to call a name and one of the girls at the front desk jumps up to point something on the screen and then my name was called. Like I couldn't see what just happened and working in the healthcare industry myself, I was very disappointed in how I was treated. Not only does a poorly maintained front desk reflect on the girls who sit there but it also reflects on the doctors and the establishment itself.

Dr. Steven Ravins is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He is extremely kind, patient, funny, understanding, and makes sure you feel completely comfortable. He performed my C-section, and although I was terrified, Dr. Ravins and his team made it pleasant, painless, and beautiful. He even made my scar look great, haha. I am so grateful that he delivered my son, and I will always love and appreciate him.

First, I want to thank the wonderful doctors who delivered my son on September 24, 2021! They not only delivered him but also managed adhesions attached to my vaginal wall, which made the cesarean section more difficult. Throughout the procedure, they kept me comfortable and informed. Deciding to schedule prenatal care with Dr. Ravins was the best decision I ever made. From the first appointment to the last, he always treated me with special care. All his staff were kind, respectful, and attentive and explained everything as clearly as possible. I sincerely thank Dr. Ravins and his entire staff... In addition, when my baby was born, I had the best obstetric team at Mount Sinai South Nassau. Everyone was very kind, including the nurses, doctors, pediatricians, and the entire obstetric team. I am very grateful for how they treated me. The service was excellent, and I highly recommend them.

First, my pregnancy experience at Raveco Medical Center was truly a blessing. They were welcoming, supportive, and very attentive. My delivery experience was amazing. I went to the clinic and, because I was already 4 centimeters dilated, they sent me directly to the hospital. As soon as I arrived, the wonderful nurses and staff welcomed and helped me. At 4 centimeters I was in severe pain and needed an epidural. I know there are many misconceptions about epidurals, and they can be frightening for a first-time mother like me, but the epidural helped tremendously. The anesthesiologist was knowledgeable, worked at my pace, and was friendly, making the process pleasant, quick, and informative. Afterward, I felt much more relaxed and laughed with the doctor's support. I was excited to meet my baby again instead of enduring constant pain. Under Dr. Steven Ravins's guidance, I had a very pleasant, beautiful, and relaxed experience. After practicing pushing with an excellent nurse and medical student, I reached 9 centimeters! About an hour later, Dr. Steven Ravins delivered my beautiful daughter. I am incredibly grateful to him. He is simply the best. I adore him and appreciate the care he gave me throughout pregnancy and delivery. Please do not be afraid or discouraged from using pain relief such as an epidural; it can help make delivery much easier!

I gave birth to my first son yesterday and feel incredibly fortunate that the delivery went so smoothly, thanks to the attentive and loving care of the Raveco and EHS teams. The staff were highly attentive, responsive, and understanding. I kept an open mind and allowed the professionals to do their jobs, but I found that they valued not only my knowledge but also my needs. I felt heard, understood, and respected. Despite a long induction, the entire process was an excellent experience. I had been anxious about the induction and the possibility of a C-section, but the medical team's attentive care, extensive knowledge, and professional advice reassured me. I was initially nervous because my mother's C-section experience several years ago had been unpleasant, so I was afraid of having one myself. However, the procedure and recovery were much better than I expected. If I could do it again, the only thing I would change would be not waiting until two days into the induction to have the C-section. This was truly the best healthcare experience I have ever had, and if I have another child, I will definitely choose this team again for my delivery.

My experience with Dr. Ravins was absolutely wonderful. He is one of the kindest people and the best doctor I have ever met. When I arrived, his primary concern was my health, not just the severe pain I was in. He alone recognized that I needed an epidural, although I had not wanted one because I hoped to try labor without anesthesia first. I am extremely grateful that he ordered it promptly. It was the best pain relief I have ever received. I had been in severe pain with intense abdominal cramping the night before and woke when my water broke, but after the epidural I could finally relax and sleep. Honestly, if I have another child, I would choose him a hundred times over. Dr. Ravins is passionate about his work and truly feels like an angel sent by God. I was very fortunate to have him deliver my baby. From pushing and delivery to suturing, I could not have done it without him and his team. If you have the opportunity, make sure he is your doctor! Ignore any negative reviews, if there are any, which I doubt. He is the best!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very nervous before my C-section and expected it to be painful and uncomfortable. However, the spinal injection went smoothly, as did the surgery. I did not even realize the procedure had begun. The entire process was calm and straightforward. Postoperative care was also excellent. I was somewhat sore but not in severe pain. My doctor performed the surgery very well; he was efficient, and the incision was closed perfectly. I am very satisfied with the experience and could not have asked for more.

All my experiences at Dr. Ravin's practice have been very good. Every delivery I had here was by C-section, and the doctors, assistants, and clinic staff made me feel very reassured. The hospital nurses and all other staff also took excellent care of me. I appreciated that they always provided an abdominal binder for support. I also appreciate that they offer male circumcision. Dr. Steven's kindness and charm are admirable. He is a very kind person. I wish them all the best.

It is difficult to reach them by phone. In addition to the copay, there is a parking fee. No lodging is available. The clinic is not very clean and looks somewhat run-down. However, the doctor is excellent, so I personally give her five stars.

I just had an excellent experience with Dr. Ravins. My baby needed to be induced, and he guided me smoothly through the entire process. I had an epidural; this was my second child, and I knew it was the right choice for me. I highly recommend him!

On January 7, 2026, I had an appointment at 11:45 a.m. I arrived on time but was told they did not accept credit cards, so I had to find a bank and withdraw cash. When I returned, they said I was late and would have to wait, which was not true. After two hours, they said Dr. Claudia Ravins was running late, so I would have to wait even longer, as though it were my fault. The service was terrible. I strongly advise against this clinic.

Overall, my visit was acceptable and the wait time was reasonable. However, I was disappointed with how the appointment itself was handled. I scheduled this visit because my OB-GYN could not see me promptly, and I had previously been told I would see both a physician assistant and Dr. Ravins. I preferred to see Dr. Ravins because of her good reviews, but ultimately I saw only the physician assistant. I also noticed that staff entered the exam room without introducing themselves. When I asked the first person taking my history whether she was the doctor I was scheduled to see, she said no but did not identify herself. The second person also did not introduce herself, and I recognized her as my provider only from the name on her white coat. Although I had an examination, I did not receive the ultrasound that was the primary reason for my appointment. When I asked about it, I was told that I could have one, but the technologist was fully booked and I would have to wait about an hour, and that the decision was up to me. This was confusing. I am accustomed to explaining my situation and having the doctor provide a clear treatment plan, rather than being left to decide without guidance. Additionally, while I explained my situation, the provider did not appear to take any notes, either electronically or on paper, which made me question whether my concerns and medical details were fully documented. Near the end of the visit, I was also told that the IUD I wanted would take about four weeks to obtain. This was the second reason for my appointment. I believe patients should be told when scheduling if certain contraceptive methods are unavailable that day and require an additional wait. For these reasons, along with not seeing the doctor I had been told I would see, the appointment did not meet my needs. I ultimately had to make an urgent appointment at my usual hospital, where the contraception I needed was available. Overall, the clinic is acceptable, but communication, transparency in scheduling, staff introductions, and clinical documentation could be improved. I have had very good experiences at large medical centers such as Mount Sinai, and I understand that comparing them with a small clinic may not be entirely fair. However, I believe staff introductions and providing the services for which a patient is scheduled should be standard at any medical facility.

Dr. Claudia Ravins is amazing! She is intelligent and funny, and most importantly, highly skilled. Last December, she performed my surgery, which usually requires four to six weeks or longer for recovery. The surgery was very successful, and although I had been worried, I felt well again quickly afterward. It is very reassuring to have such a knowledgeable doctor responsible for my health. I recommend her 100%!

I had been attending this clinic for some time. In brief, I miscarried and had a dilation and curettage at another hospital. Afterward, I returned here for a routine follow-up because of vaginal changes following surgery, including changes to the vaginal wall and tightness. The doctor was very cold and sarcastically said, "I don't know what happened during your surgery; perhaps they did something wrong." She also said, "I seem to remember you already had this problem." That was completely untrue. I explained that I have four children and had never experienced or mentioned these symptoms before. Her attitude was poor, and she dismissed my concerns entirely. My opinion of this clinic has completely changed. People should show more empathy, especially when someone has just lost a child and is slowly recovering physically.

This review is overdue. Dr. Ravin and Dr. Okowski delivered both of my babies by cesarean section, and they were wonderful. I felt comfortable during both deliveries. I had not wanted a cesarean for my first baby, but recovery went well, so I felt confident with my second. Dr. Ravin and Dr. Okowski were very patient and checked on us frequently after delivery. I was very grateful for an excellent overall labor experience here. My doctor, Steven Ravins, was a lifesaver, as was Dr. Mak. The staff go above and beyond to provide five-star service. All the nurses are very kind, attentive, and informative. The rooms and hospital are very clean. Overall, I have no complaints and am satisfied.

I had a c-section with Dr. Ravins at EHS and had an amazing experience, the staff at the hospital were incredible. Every single nurse I interacted with was kind, validated and answered every single question I had. They stayed on top of my pain and never let it get to the point where I felt the pain of the c section and had to ask for medication, by the time I got home the pain I did feel was very minimal. This was my second c-section, my previous one was done by a different doctor at a different hospital and I can definitely say the difference was huge! Very grateful to Dr. Steven Ravins for delivering my baby girl safely.

After an unpleasant experience elsewhere, I transferred to this clinic and am very glad I did. I am genuinely happy to have found it. Dr. Orkowski and Dr. Shapiro have both treated me, and they are excellent. They listen carefully, explain clearly, and make every appointment comfortable and relaxing. Everyone at the clinic is kind, professional, and respectful. Scheduling is organized, and I never feel rushed or dismissed. It is completely different from my previous experience. I recently delivered my second baby safely at St. John's Episcopal Hospital with Dr. Ravins as my surgeon. He and his team organized and carried out everything very well. Choosing pain relief during labor was the right decision; it made delivery easier and smoother and shortened labor. Thanks to Dr. Steven Ravins, I finally had the calm, safe birth experience I had dreamed of. My C-section was highly successful, with a very small incision, smooth recovery, and no complications. I had an amazing experience delivering my baby by Dr Steven Ravins at Mount Sinai. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe, supported, and truly cared for. The nurses were incredibly attentive, patient, and kind throughout my entire stay, and the doctors were professional and reassuring every step of the way. I was especially nervous about getting the epidural, but the process was smooth and much easier than I expected. The team explained everything clearly, kept me calm, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. It made a huge difference in my labor experience. Overall, my experience was phenomenal. What an amazing journey. Dr. Steven Ravins helped me achieved my goals as well the as the obstacles in the way. I was able to get a natural deliver as wished, determination and persistence is always the key. After a few hours of trying natural pushing with epidural, Dr Steven helped miraculously to avoid a C-section with the help of vacuum and episiotomy. These options are available when others don't work, every labor and delivery is different just set your mind and body that you CAN do it

Raveco Medical is an amazing place that helped me conceive and safely deliver my beautiful baby boy. The team was outstanding throughout. Dr. Claudia Ravins monitored my condition, kept me informed, and helped me conceive despite severe polycystic ovary syndrome. Once I was pregnant, Dr. Steven Ravins took over, monitored my pregnancy, explained the process, and ultimately delivered my baby boy safely. The epidural was truly a lifesaver! Dr. Steven Ravins was my surgeon during my last pregnancy, and I had an excellent experience. I was very grateful for his attentive care and had complete confidence in his treatment. That was four years ago. My recent experience with the clinic, however, has been very disappointing. I have been trying to schedule a follow-up visit since early May but have received no response from the clinic. I contacted Leslie, who said she would coordinate with Theresa, who handles scheduling, but I never heard anything further. Over the past few months, I have called the clinic more than ten times and left several messages, but I have never received a response. I also submitted my medical records but never received confirmation that they were received. I understand that the clinic may be busy, but such a prolonged lack of communication is extremely frustrating. I hope the clinic improves its responsiveness, because patients should not have to struggle this much to receive a return call or confirmation. I am sharing this in the hope that it will improve future patient communication, because I have given up trying.

Dr. Claudia Ravens is knowledgeable and highly skilled in her medical practice. However, my evaluation is based on her communication skills, which are truly terrible. Over the past two months, I have called her clinic every week to request a referral to see the doctor she previously verbally recommended. I understand she is busy, but not so busy that issuing a referral should take two months. Every time I call, no one at the clinic seems to know what is going on. I spent nearly $1,000 on this doctor, undergoing various tests and blood work, yet she neither returned my call nor issued the referral. I gave her my money, and she treated me with such disrespect. It is utterly unbelievable. I will never go back.

As a first-time mother, my experience at St. John's Episcopal Hospital was excellent. Dr. Ravens, his clinic staff, and the obstetrics department all made me feel right at home. Everyone was outstanding, friendly, and warm, providing me with meticulous care throughout my pregnancy and postpartum period. Dr. Ravens was always calm, composed, and thoughtful, which was very reassuring. He genuinely cares about his patients and patiently explains everything in detail, making me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. The clinic staff were equally excellent, considerate, professional, and efficient. The obstetrics department at St. John's Episcopal Hospital far exceeded my expectations. The hospital staff provided me with meticulous care and support during such an important moment in my life. I am deeply grateful for the care I received, and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Ravens and this hospital to all expectant mothers.

I am now two weeks postpartum and very pleased with the results. I have had two previous cesarean sections, and this was the best one. You would never know because Dr. Steven Ravins did such a perfect job on the previous two as well... Wow, this doctor has truly gifted hands! The care was also excellent, and the doctor and his assistants were very kind. I highly recommend them. Do not hesitate—put yourself in Dr. Ravins's hands.

I gave birth to my baby boy several weeks ago and am so grateful to have had Dr. Ravens as my physician again, 11 years after the birth of my first child. His positive attitude and hopeful outlook were truly reassuring, which is essential at such an important time. I had excellent experiences at both the Forest Hills clinic and Episcopal Hospital. From beginning to end, I felt supported, cared for, and well looked after. I would definitely recommend him.

1. Dr. Steven is highly knowledgeable and skilled. 2. As of 2026, he is the only doctor performing C-sections, so there are many pregnant patients on the waiting list. 3. I want to share my view so that anyone on Dr. Steven's team who sees this knows that he is overwhelmed by the number of patients, with waits of 3, 4, or even 5 hours. 4. With so many patients, they do not even know your medical history and fail to prioritize the health of mother and baby. 5. The doctor told me that, based on my history, he would perform my C-section at 38 weeks and the coordinator would call with the date. Eight days passed with no contact. I saw another doctor who knew nothing about my history and said they would call to schedule the surgery, but no one did. I had to request a prenatal appointment myself, and they told me that because so many patients were waiting, I would have to wait until 40 weeks for the C-section, and that this doctor only operates on certain days. 5. If they cannot meet demand, they should stop accepting more pregnant patients, because this prevents them from fulfilling their duty to protect mothers and babies. 6. Ms. Jazmin, who organizes and coordinates everything, is very indifferent and never calls proactively. You have to keep calling to remind them that you are pregnant and waiting for a C-section. A terrible experience.

Dr. Ravens delivered both of my children. He is truly the best and cares greatly about patient comfort! He gives very specific guidance on how to push to avoid tearing, and he also has a wonderful sense of humor. He is the best!

Five stars for Steven Ravins, MD, who helped me deliver a healthy baby boy with only three pushes! I am very grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Dr. Ravins to family and friends. I also strongly recommend an epidural. I had an excellent delivery experience, and the epidural worked very well. Within minutes, the severe pain eased, and I could relax, focus on breathing, and truly enjoy bringing my baby into the world. It greatly improved my delivery experience, and I am very grateful that everything went so smoothly. I would confidently recommend this option to anyone considering pain management during childbirth. He did not romanticize the experience or leave me uninformed; he kept everything very real, giving me a sense of confidence and trust that was invaluable during such a vulnerable time.
