We had an incredible experience throughout our IVF journey. All the doctors were wonderful and genuinely listened to our concerns. When I was worried, they were able to fit me in for a scan. Dr. Coward was amazing and was willing to take a chance on my husband despite knowing our odds were low. We are now expecting our baby in October, when two years ago we were unsure this would ever be possible. I cannot thank this team enough.

Without a doubt, I could not have found a better place, beginning with the extremely friendly reception staff. They do not speak Spanish, but they make every effort to understand you.
Ten out of ten. Without question, I would choose to be Dr. Susanna Copland's patient. She understands you, explains everything, and gives you reasons to continue with each plan. I would recommend this clinic anytime as someone in my 30s with PCOS. I wish I had come here sooner. There were no surprises; their estimated prices are listed online, which I do not often see. It was very affordable and informative. I did not feel rushed or pressured into doing anything. Every question was answered, even the silliest ones. I liked how they explained the process and procedures based on the options available to me. I also really appreciate how they work with Progyny. They provided a personal touch and made me feel welcome. I look forward to receiving their care in the future!

I always recommend Atlantic Reproductive Medicine to anyone struggling with fertility. I love Dr. Peavey and the office staff. They put you at ease and are very friendly and easy to contact. Dr. Peavey excels at explaining difficult and sensitive topics in a positive, clear way, so you understand your action plan and next steps. ARM is also very affordable compared with other fertility clinics in the area. Competent, kind, and affordable—I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our experience at Atlantic Reproductive Medicine was outstanding from start to finish. We graduated to our obstetrician today, but we will return to continue growing our family!

I am extremely grateful for the kindness and patience of the Atlantic Reproductive Center team. I spent four years at another clinic without success; they simply tried the same thing repeatedly. Dr. Peavy truly took time to listen to my concerns and let me help plan my path. After 6 failed transfers at other clinics, my first transfer at Atlantic succeeded, and I am now 11 weeks pregnant!
I truly believe this happened because they were willing to try different approaches and genuinely listen.

Atlantic Reproductive is an amazingly inclusive practice! Kelsey Daly made my wife and me feel welcome and at ease from day one. As the non-gestational mother, I never felt excluded. My OB referred me to ARM. I admit that I was extremely nervous and discouraged because of our journey before coming here. From the beginning, everyone was hopeful and has remained so. They care deeply about you, and no matter how often you message or call, they are always willing to answer your questions. On the day of my procedure, Nurse Emoni, apologies if I misspelled her name, and the anesthetist, Melody, made me comfortable, helped me laugh through my nerves, gave me extensive information, and explained everything.
Dr. Peavey greeted me with a warm, comforting hug, answered every question, and always checked that I was doing well and felt comfortable. I have never felt so cared for at a doctor's office! I look forward to the next step. Choosing ARM to help grow our family was one of our best decisions!

My husband and I arrived at Atlantic feeling hopeless and defeated. We had spent years at another fertility clinic in town and felt like numbers. Dr. Peavey was very kind to us throughout our IVF journey. The financial team seemed somewhat understaffed, so we had difficulty understanding our financial responsibility in advance. However, the clinical care was amazing and supportive.

False hope, poor postoperative care, and wasted time and money—not to mention shattered dreams after we were told the procedure had a 95% success rate. This might all have been avoided with simple postoperative antibiotic coverage, or by actually changing to an EV rather than a VV if needed. Then the surgeon came out of the operating room and told me how difficult it had been and how many times he had cursed during the procedure. It was neither comforting nor professional. Yes, perhaps the procedure simply failed, but it is hard to feel confident that it was not due to our surgeon, Dr. Coward, failing.

After 7 years of multiple IVF cycles and other fertility treatments, we finally succeeded at ARM. This May, we welcomed a lovely daughter. On transfer day, the doctor said she knew we would succeed, and her prediction was right. Traveling from Florida was absolutely worthwhile to finally have our child. The staff were excellent, and we never experienced the communication problems common at other fertility clinics. We are delighted and cannot wait to try again for a sibling.

Dr. Copland is amazing! Our experience was perfect, and we are very grateful we chose this clinic. She evaluated me thoroughly, examined the health factors behind my unexplained infertility, and made us feel valued and heard throughout. She supported every step and adjusted our pace. We never felt pressured, but once ready for IUI, she treated us like a priority. We are thrilled that our first IUI succeeded, and we now have a healthy, happy 9-month-old boy!

So far, Atlantic Reproductive Medicine has been so good to my husband and myself! From scheduling, to appointments, to educating us on all that is going to happen… I have peace about our process, and am glad we landed in their care! We will never truly have the words to express our gratitude for everything this practice has done for us. Infertility is a tough road to be on when all you want more than anything is to become parents. As someone in healthcare, I always want answers, so it was frustrating to have a diagnosis of unexplained infertility, meaning nothing points directly to a cause for our challenges (e.g. male or female factor). I am an optimist, but also a realist, so I wasn't really sure if having a child would be in the cards for us. I got married at 36 (husband 32) and we immediately started trying for a family. Well, it didn't happen and my doctor referred us to Atlantic, and we couldn't be more grateful for our experience and the amazing team. Dr. Walmer (now retired) performed a uterine septum resection (a 1/100 septum according to him) to give me a chance at carrying my own pregnancy. We tried 3 IUI cycles and moved on to IVF where we had 3 retrievals (1 canceled cycle due to poor medication response) and one, day 6, 3 AB, euploid embryo. I had an endometrial receptivity biopsy and then we moved forward with our embryo transfer. After almost four years of infertility, we welcomed our sweet baby boy a few days before my 40th birthday. I do not share this to brag because I know how delicate this process is both emotionally and financially and I hope that everyone in the trenches of primary or secondary infertility get their very wished for and wanted baby at the end of their journey. I share this to give hope. Every single person that we interacted with at Atlantic helped to make a very stressful experience all the more manageable. They held our hand and cheered us on every step of the way. They comforted us when we were sad and celebrated with us in our excitement. Dr. Peavey, Dr. Copland, Kelsey, Stephanie, Meg, Becca, Courtney, Adrienne, McKenna, the phlebotomist (who I feel terrible that I can't remember her name right now), and everyone else -- THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for making our dreams come true. We moved here from out-of-state five years ago and I can't help but think it was because we were supposed to be here, in North Carolina, with the fabulous team at Atlantic to help us on our journey to parenthood. I wish every medical practice had the kind, caring, and supportive practitioners and staff that Atlantic does -- because while we are very blessed with our results, we would still be grateful for the team and our experience if the outcome had been different.

Dr. Peavey, the nurse team, and the staff are absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have completed my IVF journey without the ARMS team. Everyone is so nice and caring, as if they were apart of your family. We traveled 2 hours to ARMS, 4 hours round trip and it was worth it. The communication was great, they responded very quickly to any questions I had. The portal was very easy to use! I will say it was easier on a computer vs phone but once you get a hang of it the phone is just as easy, just a different layout. I highly recommend Dr. Peavey and the ARMS team! I promise you won’t regret it!

I recently underwent an egg retrieval at Atlantic Reproductive Medicine, and I can’t say enough positive things about the entire team. Although I work in primary care as a healthcare provider, I found myself overwhelmed with anxiety going into the process. The kindness, clarity, and compassion I received from everyone truly exceeded my expectations.
From start to finish, I felt genuinely supported and cared for.
Dr. Copland and NP Kelsey were incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate, and Nurse Jordan offered a steady, calming presence throughout. The CRNA (I wish I could remember her name!) made me feel completely safe and at ease during the procedure, which meant so much to me. Even the front desk staff and the phlebotomist (whose name I also wish I remembered) were warm, welcoming, and efficient making every interaction feel genuinely caring.
I’m deeply grateful for the professionalism, empathy, and attentiveness shown by the entire team. What could have been a stressful experience was made smooth and manageable thanks to their care. I would highly recommend Atlantic Reproductive Medicine to anyone navigating the fertility journey.

I went to their office for services. At first, the nurses and doctors were kind and communication was good. Later, they seemed to change and became quiet and distant.
After weeks of appointments and scans and being told that I met all their requirements, I received a cold, generic email rejecting me without explanation. I asked for clarification but was told they would not provide any.
If you plan to obtain any services from them, be cautious. Based on some of their reviews and Reddit, this appears to be a pattern.

My partner had a vasectomy reversal here in December after several years of gender-affirming hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Dr. Coward was great and decided to do a biopsy first to confirm there were enough viable sperm—if not, he would have stopped, saving us considerable money. Thankfully, there were. The reversal took some time to work, while Dr. Peavey performed a complete fertility evaluation for me to make sure there were no issues on my side. Ultimately, the reversal succeeded, and we are now nearly 12 weeks pregnant after conceiving naturally, with a healthy baby. The entire experience was wonderful and very LGBTQ+ friendly. Highly recommended!

This fertility clinic is terrible. They require a BMI between 18 and 30 before they will help, which is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. You are a hateful, awful place for believing overweight people do not deserve to have children. Horrible!

When you first visit a fertility clinic, you may not realize how many tests and appointments are involved, from blood draws and ultrasounds to physician consultations. Finding a clinic that truly cares throughout the entire treatment process is essential. Atlantic is a very comprehensive clinic with first-rate communication, and every visit runs smoothly. I would like to offer feedback about billing transparency because I believe it is an important part of the overall patient experience.
I underwent genetic testing through Atlantic Reproductive, but before the test was scheduled or the sample collected, no one told me the expected out-of-pocket cost. The front desk did not discuss pricing, provide an estimate, or ask me to acknowledge or agree to any specific cost before proceeding.
I later received an unexpected bill for the genetic testing, which surprised me because this was a non-urgent, elective service. If I had known the cost in advance, I could have asked questions, explored other options, or made a more informed decision before proceeding.
I understand that medical billing can be complex, but clearer advance communication about pricing would help patients avoid unexpected financial stress. The clinical care itself was fine, but the billing and cost communication process could be improved to better support patients and set appropriate expectations.

My husband had genetic testing through Atlantic Reproductive. Before the test was ordered or the sample collected, we were never told the specific out-of-pocket cost. The front desk did not discuss pricing, provide an estimate, or ask us to confirm or consent to any particular charge in advance.
We later received a $620 bill from LabCorp. When we contacted Atlantic Reproductive, they said LabCorp handled the billing. We understand that a third-party laboratory may be involved, but Atlantic Reproductive ordered the test, and there was no advance communication about the potential cost or billing responsibility for this elective, nonurgent service.
After we raised the issue, Courtney from the financial team said she would investigate and call my husband back. That conversation was several weeks ago. Unfortunately, despite repeated follow-ups, we have received no response or appropriate resolution. The lack of follow-up has added to our frustration, and the issue remains unresolved.
Greater cost transparency—especially for elective testing—would help patients make informed decisions and avoid unexpected financial strain. Clear advance communication and prompt follow-up when patients raise questions would greatly improve the overall patient experience.
The clinical care itself was acceptable, but the billing experience and communication process were disappointing and need significant improvement.

I was treated at ARMS from 2022 to 2023 and completed four IVF retrieval cycles with many problems. I was billed incorrectly, finance did not respond for over two weeks, and the wrong medications and doses were sent to the pharmacy before a cycle, forcing my husband and me to correct them. Doctors' office instructions conflicted with nurses' follow-up messages. Most concerning was the lack of success: only one of four retrievals met expectations, while the other three were performed by another doctor. Explanations were unconvincing. A doctor at another clinic quickly identified a likely reason and one retrieval there was more successful than all four at ARMS combined. I transferred my embryos, raised my concerns with the clinic manager in hopes of improvement, and left ARMS.
I am sharing this so others can avoid my pain. After delivering a healthy baby from an embryo created at the new clinic, we transferred two genetically tested healthy ARMS embryos separately because we wanted a particular sex. Both implanted but stopped developing and ended in miscarriage, suggesting problems with the embryos. I am now pregnant again with an embryo from the new clinic, further supporting this.
Infertility is mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially devastating. I invested enormous time and effort at ARMS and experienced two heartbreaking losses. I hope my story helps others avoid this. Your experience here may determine whether you can have a child.

Dr. Coward and his team are absolutely the best. I recently had a vasectomy reversal. From the start, Dr. Coward was very thorough during my consultation and showed genuine care for his patients. His entire team and the clinic staff were professional and honest. On the day of surgery, I was understandably nervous and afraid, but Dr. Coward and his team did everything they could to reassure me. Our experience at ARMS was amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone hoping to start a family—10 out of 10! The staff respond promptly, make sure you are comfortable, and explain every process and step patiently and in detail. They are kind, welcoming, and professional. This was the best experience we have had at any fertility clinic.

It is difficult to put into words how grateful we are to Atlantic Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Coward's knowledge and expertise in male infertility were invaluable. At every visit, he patiently answered every question we asked and took the time to speak with us at length. We never felt rushed.
Yesterday, my husband finally received the treatment we had long awaited during a procedure performed by Dr. Coward, who worked a true miracle! His team was exceptional and incredibly helpful. I am almost in tears writing this review, partly because—spoiler alert—I am pregnant! More importantly, my experience at Atlantic was truly exceptional. I entrusted them with everything during the most vulnerable and uncertain period of my life, and Dr. Hynes and the entire Atlantic staff were absolutely the best team I could have hoped for at this stage. They were knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful, and flexible. They had every quality I wanted. I never felt that I was being pushed through a rigid, one-size-fits-all process. Dr. Hynes closely monitored my medical history and cycle and made decisions based on how my body responded. All my questions were answered—and I had many. Everyone, from the front desk staff who greeted me to the embryologists who helped create and select my embryos, was warm and professional. I cannot say enough good things about this experience, and if we decide to have more children in the future, I will certainly choose Atlantic again.

After receiving treatment here for about two years, I cannot say enough good things about the medical team. The IVF process is uncertain at best and heartbreaking at worst, but I felt heard and well cared for. They truly worked with my husband and me through every twist and turn of our IVF journey. As a woman in my thirties, I have seen many doctors, and Dr. Peavey may be my favorite doctor in any medical specialty! In addition to Dr. Peavey, every interaction I had with the nurses, nurse practitioners, and Deanna—the phlebotomist of everyone's dreams—was consistently warm and compassionate.

Walking into the clinic for the first time, we felt overwhelmed, lost, and had so many questions after more than two years of infertility. From day one, every single person we interacted with made us feel supported, heard, and cared for. The entire team is incredibly kind, compassionate, empathetic, and always willing to listen. Their organization when it comes to cycle charting and response time on any communication is impeccable.
A special thank you to Dr. Mary Peavey. One of the things we appreciated most was that she never resorted to fear-mongering, which can unfortunately be common in the fertility world. Instead, she took the time to patiently explain every step of the process, answered all of our questions, and made sure we truly understood our options. Her calm, kind, and reassuring personality immediately put us at ease.
Although IVF felt intimidating at first, Dr. Peavey guided us through every stage with knowledge, honesty, and realistic expectations. We always felt informed, supported, and confident that we were in the best hands.
We are incredibly grateful for the care we received from the entire clinic. We will always be thankful to Dr. Peavey and the amazing team for helping make this possible.

We had a wonderful experience at Atlantic Fertility! After some frustrating experiences at another clinic, we chose Atlantic Fertility on a friend's recommendation. We are so glad we made that decision—even though Atlantic Fertility was a two-hour drive farther from home than our previous clinic, it was well worth it. During our first consultation with Dr. Copland, I was impressed by how thoroughly she knew my medical history. When I asked questions, she could pull up charts from peer-reviewed studies and explain exactly which treatment approach was appropriate for my situation. I felt that my care was both evidence-based and highly personalized. The entire IVF process went smoothly, and communication was excellent. I was especially impressed that Dr. Copland personally called me before every major procedure to ask whether I had any questions.
