I wish I could give zero stars. I am extremely disappointed with their management. The front desk staff were completely unhelpful. I drove 35 minutes to my appointment, only to be told it had been scheduled incorrectly and there was nothing they could do. I have an extremely busy work schedule, and after doing everything I could, I was simply left to drive home alone with no one willing to help. I will never return and strongly advise others to stay away.

From check-in to checkout, the staff were outstanding. They were warm, friendly, candid, and professional. Every staff member I encountered made sure communication was clear and concise and that guests knew what to expect.

We’ve always had an amazing experience with all the staff, but especially Stacey. She feels like family at this point. She's been the best provider I've ever had and listens to every question or concern, even if it seems silly.
2026.04.21
Excellent location and attentive, welcoming staff. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, with smiling faces everywhere. I felt comfortable, and they listened carefully to my needs. The space is very clean and modern.

I began my IVF journey at Procreate about two years ago. Everyone there was wonderful, especially Stacy and Crystal. My baby is now almost one year old, thanks to the excellent Procreate team. I moved out of state and am starting treatment at a new clinic, which makes me appreciate my time at Procreate even more. Their attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and warmth made me feel truly cared for.

Do not choose this clinic for IVF. In short, we spent a great deal of money and communication was terrible. The billing department was disorganized and caused major losses for my family. We spent $16000 and ended up with neither a pregnancy nor a successful embryo transfer. Many problems could have been avoided, especially transferring an embryo despite a fairly large uterine fibroid, which led to failure. A nurse then blamed me for refusing ultrasounds, although I attended every one. The billing department is absurd. They billed both my insurer and me for ultrasounds. Had I not discovered it, I would never have received a refund, and I am still pursuing it. I decided to pay the remaining balance and be done, but I warn everyone not to choose this clinic. They never answer the phone or return messages. Everything must be handled through the portal, and even replies take a long time. The Newport News location is not where I began treatment. When they told me I was not pregnant, the staff were extremely rude. The experience was unacceptable. They essentially said, ‘You are not pregnant; you can stop the medication,’ with no consideration for how I would feel after years of taking medication on schedule and doing everything possible. The specialists had me follow their instructions for their own convenience, without compassion. If you want to build a family, go somewhere that explains everything: every financial detail and exactly how to use the medication. This is a complex process, and communication is essential. This is not the right place. The only reason we kept returning was Dr. Bocca, who was kind. But I was treated by several doctors, not only her, and she did not perform my embryo transfer or retrieval. I wish I had insisted that she do so.

Dr. Jackson is amazing!! She listened carefully and took my concerns seriously. I love her—she is my gynecologist!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Highly recommended, 10 out of 10!! Cheri Williams

I was very impressed with Dr. Jackson. He is highly knowledgeable and attentive to my needs and concerns. He never made me feel rushed or treated me like just another patient. Highly recommended!

They treated me very well at my first appointment. They were kind and professional and made me feel comfortable. I recommend them.

The entire team at Procreate Fertility is phenomenal. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, the nurses were attentive and relatable, and Dr. Perez was the cherry on top. He made everything easy, ensured we had everything we needed and felt comfortable, and made a stressful situation manageable.

Kimberly in surgical scheduling went above and beyond to ensure that my procedure and costs were handled smoothly. She does excellent work and is a valuable member of the team.

Dr. Brugh is excellent. I had a testicular sperm extraction. The process was professional, sperm was successfully retrieved, everything went smoothly, and I am very satisfied.

My first appointment was by video. From the beginning, everyone warmly offered advice and was kind and helpful, and the doctor I consulted was friendly and professional.

Dr. Jackson and her team are amazing. They are very kind and compassionate, take my concerns seriously, and fully understand my situation. I have never felt so well cared for, and I am very grateful to work with Dr. Jackson and her team to improve my health!

I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic. My experience was extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I was initially told I had only one uterine fibroid, but after seeking a second opinion, I learned that I actually had sixteen. Communication was consistently poor—they did not contact me to schedule surgery until the day before, and postoperative follow-up was nearly nonexistent. Overall, I felt they lacked patient care and accountability and focused more on billing than on providing appropriate medical guidance. I recommend finding a more attentive, transparent, and professional fertility specialist.
2025.12.11
For the first time, I feel truly understood and heard as a patient, especially as a woman who has struggled with fertility and endured countless disappointments and anxieties. I am very glad I found Procreate and especially grateful to Dr. Jackson. Of the four doctors I saw, she was the only one who took my concerns seriously and acted on them, beginning at the very first visit. I must also mention how wonderful the entire clinic is. From the front desk, nurses, and support staff to the other doctors, everyone is exceptional. I am so glad I found them.
2025.12.11
I feel very fortunate to have finally found a clinic that listens and takes my concerns seriously. Dr. Jackson, her colleagues, and all the staff are wonderful. They identified a problem that had affected me for more than a year but that doctors at three other clinics never took seriously or investigated. It is reassuring to have such a capable medical team.

The Procreate team helped us tremendously during infertility treatment. At our darkest moments, they kept encouraging me. Through improved results, ongoing medical guidance, and endless support, we ultimately became pregnant. During intense emotional and hormonal changes, they supported us like friends and family. We will always be grateful that they helped us create the family we dreamed of at age 41!

I am truly grateful to everyone at Procreate. I completed 6 IVF cycles in total. Before my OB-GYN referred me here, I had completed 3 cycles at another clinic without achieving a pregnancy. The expertise of the Procreate team, especially Dr. Bocca and Dr. Perez, made a tremendous difference. Infertility is incredibly difficult, and this team genuinely wants to help you achieve a positive pregnancy test. I saw Nurse Stacey and Nurses Chelsea and Crystal many times throughout the process. They are truly wonderful! Thank you again! I am pregnant!! I cannot believe I can finally say that. Thank you—I cannot wait to meet my baby.

I want to share my experience to help other women make informed decisions. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and came to this clinic for fertility treatment. Unfortunately, I now believe their approach to treating endometriosis was limited and ultimately cost me valuable time and money. After my first IVF cycle failed, the doctor recommended surgery, but they did not fully excise the endometriosis; they only drained it. I later saw a specialist who confirmed that, given my advanced endometriosis, the treatment offered by this clinic was unlikely to succeed. I underwent two IVF cycles and one surgery in total, but the doctor did not give me a realistic assessment of my chances of success. There was a lack of consistency throughout my treatment: • Different providers often gave conflicting advice. • Calls were rarely answered, and it was difficult to speak directly with a doctor. • Appointments often ran more than 30 minutes late, which is challenging for working patients. • After receiving the result of my failed transfer, no one from the clinic followed up to discuss next steps or analyze what had happened. This was extremely frustrating, especially considering that each cycle cost about $25,000. Although I am grateful that my insurance covered part of the cost, I still paid a substantial amount out of pocket. I cannot help feeling that because the clinic knew I had insurance, they focused more on pushing me through additional cycles than on truly guiding me toward the best treatment plan. If you are paying entirely out of pocket, think carefully before deciding. Costs add up quickly, and the experience may not match the investment. I now feel at a loss because, based on my second diagnosis, I believe the medical advice I received was wrong, and there is nothing I can do to change what happened. It is deeply upsetting that I had to learn this lesson through such a painful experience while spending thousands of dollars. If you are considering this clinic, especially if you have endometriosis, please look elsewhere. I am sharing my story not out of anger, but in the hope of preventing others from going through what I did. No one should have to endure the same painful and expensive lesson.

Dear Procreate team, We wanted to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for the incredible care and support you’ve given us over the past three years. This journey was unexpected and, at times, overwhelming but throughout it all, we felt nothing but compassion, expertise, and encouragement from your entire team. For the first time, we truly felt seen and heard by a medical provider. Your kindness, patience, and unwavering support meant more to us than words can express. You not only cared for us medically, but you also educated us, empowered us, and walked beside us through one of the most emotional chapters of our lives. “Thank you” hardly seems enough. Because of your dedication and care, we are now expecting something we never thought possible a baby of our own. You’ve helped us achieve everything we’ve hoped and prayed for, and we will forever be grateful to Procreate for making our dream a reality. Thank you, Haley and Brandon Corprew

I cannot express how grateful I am to the Procreate team. Their warmth and positivity were evident at every appointment. I am very thankful for the atmosphere, which helped me persevere. I previously had great difficulty trying to conceive. Procreate was the second clinic in the area where I pursued IVF. My experience was much better; the team was dedicated and experienced. Thank you, Dr. Bocca, Dr. Perez, Kat, Stacey, and Ana! All the nurses and front desk staff were wonderful and made me feel welcome at every appointment. Their fees were better than at my previous clinic, and I am finally pregnant and received my injection on schedule!!! I cannot wait to return after the baby is born.

I wish I could give zero stars. Although my experience with the providers was excellent, their billing department is terrible. If you have TRICARE PRIME, be sure to schedule with a referral. I initially contacted them to ask about their services and whether Tricare would cover any costs. Both the front desk and billing department assured me Tricare would cover everything and that I did not need a referral unless I was active-duty military. They lied! Do not make this mistake, or you will be stuck with several bills that could have been avoided with a referral. Most frustrating is the lack of accountability from the Chesapeake branch's billing manager. On four separate occasions, she promised to call me back and never did. I have been dealing with this for a month. Communication has been terrible, and they have taken no responsibility for misleading and deceiving me. Every time I contact billing, I am told it is Tricare's fault, that Tricare is wrong, and that she is right. I do not know what kind of person would be so stubborn and unwilling to correct her own mistake. I asked what she would do to resolve this and whether she had tried to determine why Tricare would not pay the charges, but her only answer was that Tricare was wrong. Worst of all, they continue to mislead new patients by saying Tricare covers all diagnostic costs without a referral. Do not come here. I hope they soon reorganize their billing department and train them on Tricare policies!
2025.07.15
I shared my experience here and then found this clinic. They told me everything would be excellent and performed tests that same week, but to this day I still have not been scheduled for surgery, even though I paid in cash. Do not waste your time at this clinic. They are experts at lying: they get you excited, persuade you to spend money on tests, and then ignore you.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Procreate! Dr. Bocca and Mary Jo were very professional, patient, and kind, and I am now five months pregnant. I preferred the VB office and staff. Communication from the office was excellent, and from the moment I stepped out of the elevator and entered the waiting room, I was treated like a person. I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. I hope I will not need them again, but if I do, I would return without hesitation!
2025.07.23
Respectful and caring. The staff made both my husband and me feel comfortable.
2025.07.23
Hello, and thank you for caring. Every appointment with Dr. KATHRINE is pleasant, and I always feel more at ease about myself and the IVF process. Thank you all, and thank her and her team members for helping us conceive with the same dedication. As with Dr. KIERRA, if God ultimately allows me to conceive successfully, the baby's name will begin with the letter K. They never grow tired or exhausted, always answering my frustrating questions and helping me explore the future. They are the true definition of hope, faith, and success. They instill confidence in you—the evidence of things not seen, but hoped for. Our once-hopeless lives are filled with hope despite not being counted among women naturally blessed with the fruit of the womb, fertility, and confidence. In the end, when their work bears fruit, you will achieve success. Thank you again, and may you continue to be blessed. May Almighty God do for you what you cannot do for yourselves, just as you do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. In Jesus' name, I pray every day. Amen. @ VSGT SUZZY.@. The best.

By far the worst fertility clinic: Procreate Fertility Center of Virginia!!! Especially the Chesapeake, Virginia, location. Here are several reasons, though not all of them: ❌Communication is terrible! ❌They charge us out-of-pocket fees as if we are not paying attention. ❌The billing department refuses to speak with us by phone because “they prefer written communication.” ❌They do not respond to portal messages. ❌They do not thoroughly explain anything, especially to new patients. ❌They read emails as if they only want to send a response. ❌We constantly receive emails saying a medication vial expired months ago. ❌They do not explain when an appointment will be charged; they simply let you walk out and say, “You can go!” ❌They build no relationship whatsoever. It is unbelievable how many times the front desk secretary asked my name! ❌One doctor completely ignored my wife, Jessica McKinney Savage, when she entered the room. ❌The staff do not tell me when or how to take medications...and there are many more problems; this is not all of them!! ✅ The only two excellent team members are Stacey Seeley and Kim!!! They cared throughout, apologized even when the mistake was not theirs, and communicated promptly when needed. Stacey also helped us have a son! I do not usually make posts like this, but I am angry that we must deal with something this serious at such an unprofessional workplace. It requires a great deal of time, patience, understanding, and money—usually more than 25,000 dollars!!! 🤬 I am going to make a video to warn others who are trying to conceive!!! Especially since they—the finance department—actually refuse to call us! This is terrible.

My experience at Procreate Fertility was both hopeful and deeply disappointing. On the positive side, my consultation with Dr. Bocca was excellent. She was knowledgeable, encouraging, and compassionate—exactly the kind of doctor one hopes to find during the emotional journey of fertility treatment. After speaking with her, my husband and I felt hopeful and seriously considered entrusting our care to Procreate. Unfortunately, our interactions with other staff were frustrating and, frankly, disheartening. Before scheduling the consultation, I carefully confirmed that Procreate was in network with our insurance and that the consultation and initial testing would be covered. I verified this not only with the insurance company but also by calling Procreate directly. They assured us verbally and in writing that there would be no charge. Based on that assurance, we proceeded with the consultation. However, we later received an unexpected bill for the consultation. Although the billing issue itself was frustrating, it was only one sign of a broader problem. Our post-consultation experience with administrative staff was marked by poor communication, incorrect information, repeated loss of personal information—three times, to be exact—and a complete lack of accountability. Most troubling was our interaction with Megan, who I understand is a manager. Instead of offering any meaningful resolution, her responses seemed dismissive and lacked accountability. This left us not only disappointed but genuinely concerned about the clinic's ability to handle matters as personal and important as fertility logistics. Megan also explicitly said that she had encountered our exact issue before and blamed the doctor, which was unquestionably unprofessional. To be clear, this was not simply a billing error. When dealing with fertility matters, especially something as sensitive as your own or your partner's genetic material, you need confidence that the clinic is organized, attentive, and trustworthy. Based on our experience, we could not confidently say that about Procreate's staff. Although Dr. Bocca is excellent and highly skilled, the support staff around her did not demonstrate the same level of professionalism or competence. Because we lacked confidence in Procreate's administrative processes—essential when entrusting others with one of the most important decisions of your life—we decided not to continue with this clinic and would not recommend it to others.

I cannot say enough good things about Procreate!! They always encouraged me and were with me through every step toward fulfilling my dream of becoming a mother. Now that I have graduated to my OB-GYN, I miss them so much, haha. I will always be deeply grateful to all of them, especially Diana, Veena, Stephanie, Angela, Tricia, and Kristen. Thank you again for everything, and I hope to visit soon!
2025.06.18
I highly recommend Procreate!!! I had been unable to conceive on my own because of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), but they helped me become pregnant after my first course of letrozole. My first appointment was in January, and I was pregnant by April!!! It is expensive, but worth it. The assistants, physician assistants, and doctors were all wonderful! Vina was there whenever I had a problem ❤️ Tricia took exceptional care of me! Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️

If they worked as hard at caring for patients as they do at responding to negative Google reviews, perhaps their business would improve. My experience with this clinic lasted from November 2024 to June 2025. I was a first-time out-of-state surrogate for a wonderful couple. In November, I flew in for screening. I completed forms stating that I had just returned from vacation in Mexico. Kat read everything and said screening could not proceed because I had to wait 6 months due to Mexico's history of Zika. I left, then returned 10 minutes later to ask whether we could proceed with written consent from the intended parents. When I asked to speak with the provider, still within my appointment window, the front desk employee, Kierra, said no and that they would contact me later. I ultimately explained, politely but firmly, that I had a flight to catch and needed to speak with the provider. They then all went into a room to discuss the situation, and I could hear everything. They determined the document was outdated, Zika screening was no longer required, and they would proceed with my exam. *There was no apology or acknowledgment of the confusion, just an awkward exam with someone who had tried to send me away 30 minutes earlier. I eventually met all requirements, completed all legal steps to establish the surrogacy arrangement, and returned in early 2025 to begin. Throughout my experience, I received multiple rude emails and calls from the clinic, encountered failures in their internal communication, and had to name the provider or Kierra in forms. On one occasion, outside monitoring had to be scheduled for an ultrasound. They sent orders to both me and the clinic but forgot that the document also requested lab work. I received several rude emails saying I had failed to complete the labs, demanding a status update, and repeatedly reminding me to schedule other appointments to ensure the labs were done. *Every problem was treated as my fault, never the clinic's.* If I had questions, the front desk staff, who had no medical experience or knowledge, always gave vague answers. I tried the after-hours line three times and left a voicemail each time. I never received a call back or response. *Once, I emailed Kierra about my symptoms because she had asked. I had mild spotting, which the doctor said was normal during my treatment at the time. She rudely replied that I should have called the after-hours line. Before the actual transfer, after an ultrasound at the Virginia clinic, a polyp was found. They decided I needed a hysteroscopy to ensure there would be no implantation issue. The clinic strongly pushed anesthesia. I declined because the entire procedure took under 30 seconds and was completely painless. It felt like a money grab. Also, on the day of the appointment, my husband and I saw a couple upset about the staff's communication. Whoever called them had not mentioned the anesthesiologist's additional out-of-pocket fee. Staff were very rude to her, the manager/medical provider was not present, and she had misunderstood information from the call, even though none of the women present had made that call. We completely understood their complaints about poor communication. My first transfer ultimately succeeded. Unfortunately, because the fetus had a fatal neural tube defect, we had to terminate the pregnancy at 12 weeks. On the morning of the termination appointment, I received a call from Kierra. I told her I was on my way to terminate the pregnancy. She then asked when I had visited maternal-fetal medicine. She said they did not know and still needed those records, and asked whether I could have them sent. I said she could contact them herself. *Kat absolutely knew because we had scheduled it twice before—another internal communication problem. Finally, she briefly said, “I'm sorry,” and said she would contact the intended parents to ask when we would be willing to move forward again. I told her I would not. Procreate showed more compassion to the intended parents because they had the money. The entire process was about making money, and they exploited a child's tragedy and the parents' hopes. Never again.

My experience here was amazing! You can tell everyone truly cares about you and your well-being. They always answered my questions and made me comfortable at every step. Everyone was incredible, from the front desk staff to the nurses, doctors, and laboratory technicians. I would recommend Procreate to anyone.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. They gave me so much hope and a chance to grow my family, and I was genuinely sad to graduate to my OB because I will miss them so much! Special thanks to Kat and Stacey, who were with me from the beginning, always supported me, and made me feel that I had choices in my care plan. I cannot praise the entire staff highly enough.
2025.03.01
I had a terrible experience. They were unprofessional, overcharged my account, and did nothing helpful. They do not understand your pain, show compassion, or help you, even when you are going through all of this because you want a child. This is a terrible place and a complete waste of time. Please be aware.
2025.03.02
The two stars are because I did have my daughter under their care, although in hindsight I think it may have been a coincidence. I was prescribed progesterone, which I have continued taking, but I still miscarry frequently. I went to Procreate for recurrent pregnancy loss, but unfortunately felt like a number. After miscarriage after miscarriage, they never ordered more testing or tried anything different; they just told me to keep trying. When my beta-hCG plateaued or declined, they would not honestly say the pregnancy was failing and instead gave me false hope. Once, despite a drop of several hundred points in the first few weeks, I was told, “This will be baby number two.” That was painful because it was clearly not a viable pregnancy, and I miscarried days later. Nurses called with information that contradicted the doctor, including saying I did not need progesterone when the doctor actually wanted progesterone injections. I never felt confident in my care. During my second-to-last miscarriage at this clinic, I brought in products of conception for genetic testing. The nurse was rude and insensitive, took the sample away when I forgot to complete part of the form, and rolled her eyes. To them it was another sample; to me it was my fifth pregnancy loss. I later went to another clinic that performed more testing and found correctable issues that may have caused my six miscarriages but were never investigated at Procreate. Billing was also frequently wrong, and I often had hundreds of dollars in credit on my account without knowing it. This practice may be better for IVF alone, but I do not recommend it for recurrent pregnancy loss.

Fertility care can be an essential path to building a family! I had an extraordinary experience at Procreate. I learned a great deal about how female and male bodies work during conception and how the clinic helps people build families. I was dealing with personal health issues and believed I could not become pregnant. My husband and I were preparing to begin fertility treatment, and I was told I needed diagnostic surgery. Miraculously, I conceived naturally before the surgery began. I would give more if I could, but this is definitely 10/10, hands down! I am very grateful that the team supported me through different obstacles. Special thanks to my favorite nurses, Chelsey and Lydia; Corrine at the front desk; Dr. Katherine Duey and Stacey Seeley; the laboratory and anesthesia staff; and, most of all, Dr. Boca. I graduated from the clinic at ten weeks pregnant and miss the team very much. I am now six months pregnant with my first child, a baby boy, and plan to return in the future if needed. Thank you, fertility team!
