I recently had my first appointment as a new patient, a follow-up after an emergency miscarriage visit. Dr. Ostrom was very respectful and kind. She asked many questions I had never even considered. I highly recommend her. She made sure I was physically well and functioning normally, and advised me to call if anything changed. Highly recommended!

Dr. Ostrom is truly one of a kind. I have worked with many healthcare professionals over the years, and she is by far the wisest, kindest, and most approachable doctor I have met. I will always be grateful for her flexibility and skill during my delivery. I know her work is extremely busy and complex, yet I still felt I received highly personalized care. Words cannot express how highly I regard Dr. Ostrom. She is exceptionally skilled, knowledgeable, and kind. She is not only an outstanding doctor but also a genuinely good person. She and her team helped my husband and me conceive after years of trying and safely delivered our baby. The postpartum care was equally excellent. “Exceptional” is the only word that describes Dr. Ostrom. Her team is also highly capable and welcoming. I strongly recommend her!

I first saw another gynecologist because Dr. Ostrom was not accepting new patients at the time. That doctor told me my condition was ‘manageable’ and ‘moderate.’ I was devastated because, deep down, I knew something was wrong. I was always exhausted, needed regular iron infusions, and my thyroid had stopped functioning. About a year later, I finally met Dr. Ostrom. From the moment I met her, I knew I could trust her. I had been very resistant to surgery, and she truly listened. She gave me several options and never pressured me, but when I ultimately chose a hysterectomy, I was so glad I did. She was right. My pathology results fully confirmed what she suspected. I now know my condition could not have been managed naturally; it required surgery. My surgery went extremely well. I felt deeply cared for throughout the entire process. From the moment I knew Dr. Ostrom was overseeing my care, I felt at ease because I could tell she genuinely cared about me. She visited me every day after surgery. She made sure my pain was properly controlled and answered every question without ever making me feel like a burden. I am only four days post-op, and everything is going well. More importantly, I finally feel heard. For years, I was ignored, dismissed, and told it was ‘just hormones’ or ‘normal.’ I want Dr. Ostrom to know: Thank you for believing me. Thank you for taking me seriously. You are an angel on earth, and I will always be grateful.

We moved to Homer for Dr. Ostrom because we had heard such wonderful things, and everything we heard was true! She is the best doctor I have ever seen and went above and beyond to care for me and my pregnancy. She listened to my concerns at every appointment and took a proactive approach to my care. My pregnancy was high-risk, and I had a great deal of anxiety about it, but I felt I could trust Dr. Ostrom and her recommendations. I loved the team's responsive approach to care (texting was a gift), which helped me through difficult moments. If you are looking for an OB-GYN who empowers you and does not shame you, she is the best. I think she is the least judgmental person I have ever met. I sincerely wish she could be my doctor for everything. Thanks to this doctor and her team's hard work and wisdom, I carried the most precious child. You will love all of them!

Dr. Ostrom, Amber, and Crystal were all wonderful. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure my experience was not only comfortable but genuinely positive. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail put me completely at ease. It is clear that they truly care about their patients, and I am very grateful that they made my visit so pleasant.

After bleeding continuously for three months, I saw Dr. Ostrom. Other OB-GYNs had told me my only option was hormonal birth control. Dr. Ostrom respected my decision not to use BC and did more to help treat my PCOS in one visit than other doctors had in years. A truly outstanding and kind doctor. I wrote this review about a year ago, and Dr. Ostrom has continued to help me in ways I did not know were possible. Since my first visit, I have had regular cycles for the first time in my life. She performed two procedures related to my extreme menstrual pain, and for the first time I started my period without realizing it because there was no severe pain. Historically, I spent half a day to four days curled up in bed; now I can spend those days living my life and doing what I need and want to do. I am deeply grateful to her and her staff for greatly improving my quality of life.
