I had an excellent experience at this fertility clinic thanks to the outstanding care provided by Dr. K, assistant Alexa, and the entire medical team. Dr. K's expertise and thoughtful approach made me feel reassured and supported throughout treatment. Alexa was exceptionally attentive, always patiently answering my questions and offering reassurance. The clinic staff were warm, professional, and truly committed to making every visit comfortable and pleasant. I sincerely appreciate their kindness and dedication and highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking fertility treatment.

My husband and I cannot thank this clinic enough for helping us achieve our dream! From the first appointment to the last, every staff member made us feel welcome and hopeful, as though they cared for us like family. Every person played an essential role in helping us welcome our baby, patiently answering every question and responding promptly. We are sad to graduate to our OB/GYN practice. We will miss everyone here and look forward to seeing them again when we try for our second baby.

Dr. Kowalczyk was rude. She seems to believe unhealthy habits are how people achieve successful pregnancies and promotes them positively, even though there are steps we can take to improve our chances. Toxic.

I absolutely love everyone here!! From the first appointment to the final ultrasound, everyone was helpful, caring, and welcoming. We were fortunate to conceive on our first IVF attempt, and we are so grateful to the entire team for our beautiful baby girl 🩷

First, I must say that the front-desk staff and Becky, who performed nearly all my blood draws, were wonderful. Unfortunately, that is the only positive thing I can say about this clinic! Good luck seeing the ‘famous’ Dr. K, or her ‘assistant’ Nicole, unless you specifically request an appointment after repeated failed attempts with no changes to your plan or medications. Every ultrasound was rough and far from encouraging. None of the IUIs were ultrasound-guided, and nurses performed them. Our first was great, but during later attempts it seemed like their first day on the job! If you are even slightly overweight or obese, they will not treat you and will insist that you lose weight because they consider it the only and greatest problem. My OB-GYN and primary care physician diagnosed me with polycystic ovary syndrome, but I was completely ignored, and my weight again became the issue. If you are having only IUI, or at least starting there, be aware that you will feel like the lowest priority because IVF patients clearly come first at this clinic. This is a major warning sign, though it is not surprising that the ‘big spenders’ receive better treatment and priority. Many times we were told our appointments were delayed because ‘it is IVF time’ and ‘many IVF patients are ahead of you, so we are running a little behind.’ Sorry that spending several thousand dollars makes my infertility less serious—apparently that is just pocket change, right?! When they promise to call with your results at a specific time and do not, you must contact them. You must arrange your own specialty-pharmacy orders for time-sensitive medications because they cannot be bothered. With or without insurance, you must pay everything upfront as if they do not trust you to pay after an appointment or procedure. You must find your own urologist because the people they recommend are always fully booked or unavailable at certain offices. The list goes on. Do not come here! The positive reviews are either false, or perhaps their priority IVF patients simply do not know. I refuse to pay more for false hope. All you are left with is false hope. We took a break, emotionally and financially exhausted. You might think they would reach out to see whether everything was all right, but no—we were not IVF patients, so apparently we did not matter to them. This clinic is desperate for money. They seem to think it is great if their bland, basic, identical treatment plan works for everyone; if it does not, there is always another person to try it or another IVF patient willing to spend more. No, thank you! We found a wonderful new clinic and will tell everyone we know dealing with fertility issues to avoid Michigan Center for Fertility and Women’s Health!

This place is very disappointing. The front-desk staff are always friendly, but that is where the positive experience ends. Good luck meeting the supposedly excellent doctor. I went through several rounds of intrauterine insemination (IUI) without ever seeing or even speaking to an actual doctor; nurses handled everything. They treated me like an ‘average patient’ and did not listen when I explained my menstrual cycle. They would schedule an IUI date, and I would ask whether it was appropriate because, according to my calendar, my fertile window would be over by then. Every IUI was extremely painful. The pain was severe, and I felt that something was wrong. My last IUI took a very long time and felt as though it were the nurse’s first day. After several failed attempts, they finally said, ‘Yes, you know what? You are right. Let’s do it another day.’ This greatly concerned me and made me wonder whether they knew what they were doing. Nothing changed from one cycle to the next. I suggested that I might have endometriosis, but she dismissed it. Afterward, I contacted another clinic. They got me in immediately, and I met with a doctor for a consultation at my first visit. We did one round of IUI, which failed, but it was completely painless. I had to ask the doctor whether she had already performed it because I could not tell. She immediately recommended an endometriosis biopsy, which came back positive. I had the IUI in April, and two months later I conceived naturally. Do not waste your money or time here. They do not care; they take your money and send you away.

I was diagnosed with infertility two and a half years ago. As a woman, this is difficult to process because it makes you feel as though something is wrong with you. I sat in the parking lot for 10 minutes, nervous about going inside and worried I would be judged for having difficulty becoming pregnant. I feared being treated as a number rather than a person. From the moment I entered the clinic, I was warmly welcomed and treated like family. Through blood tests, ultrasounds, surgery, and procedures, these women held my hand and hugged me during moments when I wanted to give up. When they learned that one of my embryos had passed PGT-A testing, they even called me, and we all celebrated over the phone. If you are looking for women who will support you throughout the process, this is the clinic to choose. I cannot thank all these women and Dr. K enough for the care and compassion they showed throughout my journey.

DR K and her staff are wonderful! Pin handled everything down to the wire. A perfect experience 👍

I came here for many years, spent thousands, and did not become pregnant. There is only one good nurse there. Her name is Becky, and she is wonderful. She was always supportive and caring, and I could tell she stood by me even when the doctor gave up on me. Do not get me started on billing and the absurd nursing fees. They add ridiculous charges on top of everything else you may pay or insurance may not cover. Once a nurse called with results. I had questions and called back but never received a response. The billing department is also very rude. I made payments every month, sometimes several times a month, to repay all charges, but they were still dissatisfied. Apparently they work in billing because they lack empathy. All this place did was give me false hope and thousands of dollars in debt. I do not recommend it.

So far, we are extremely pleased with our experience at this facility. Compared with the doctor's office we previously tried, it is night and day. We are still trying to have a baby, but the nurses, doctors, office staff, information sharing, communication—everything—are 10000% better! Nurse Becky is wonderful. Dr. K and office manager RaeAnne went above and beyond for us. We will always be grateful! Highly recommended.

First, the office/nursing staff are very kind, and I was always pleased with them. My negative review concerns my experience with the doctor. My first visit was in fall 2023. I was told my labs were normal except for slightly elevated fasting glucose. The doctor said my fertility problems were due to my weight and advised reducing sugar and exercising. I was upset but made changes and worked hard for months. By April 2024, I had made many changes, essentially eliminating sugar and processed foods. After 1 failed IUI and 1 unsuccessful timed-intercourse cycle, I was frustrated and felt my efforts had produced nothing. I spoke with the doctor again—the first time I had heard from her since October, only because I requested an appointment—and asked about metformin. She dismissed me again. I felt something was wrong and sought a second opinion. After repeating all tests at a new fertility clinic, with essentially the same results as a year earlier, I was immediately prescribed thyroid medication and metformin. After taking them for 2 months, I became pregnant and am now 13 weeks! I fully support lifestyle changes and believe they have a place, but I do not understand why my care was managed so differently or why I succeeded so quickly at the new clinic. Never be afraid to find what works for you and advocate for yourself! I feel I spent thousands of dollars only to be told to lose weight when that was not the underlying issue.

I have had several good experiences here. Fertility issues are always confusing for a patient and require many questions. The staff are informative and always answer and return my calls. They do this every day and I do not, so they take time to explain it. Dr. B is my primary doctor; she is an excellent surgeon, kind and patient. Dr. K is also wonderful. Babu and Becky are the best!

There are some wonderful people here, but also some poor ones, terrible policies for outside-monitoring patients, and many hoops to jump through. You pay $700 out of pocket for their profit while they still bill your insurance. I am upset that I tolerated this for so long, but grateful to have found a clinic that does not require us to ‘use their specific forms,’ ‘pay a shocking outside-monitoring fee,’ ‘obtain a global referral,’ or ‘meet and greet the NP’ before scheduling. If you show even slight frustration, they hang up on you! Of all medical clinics, a fertility clinic should be compassionate and empathetic. MIWFWH is not. I am relieved to have found a new monitoring site that appears to genuinely care and want to help its patients.
