Update: It has now been more than a year. Since then, they migrated their billing system, at least for egg storage, and I have experienced registration, payment, and customer-service problems. I therefore stand by my review. Overall, I would not recommend Shady Grove Fertility to anyone seeking these services and would advise choosing another fertility provider. If you must use Shady Grove, I strongly advise against the Arlington clinic. The process and my interactions with Shady Grove Fertility’s Arlington clinic began well. I expected egg freezing to be smooth, professional, and standard, but those hopes quickly disappeared. Problems included their failure to order all necessary tests at once, requiring repeated testing and wasted visit fees; a disorganized process that forced me to request information urgently at the last minute; a treatment schedule inconsistent with what I was told during update calls; major appointment delays caused by overbooking and overcommitting; having to visit multiple clinics, with physicians providing different next-step plans; being instructed to take medication I did not have, creating confusion; and staff unwilling to help when timing problems arose. By the time of my egg retrieval, I had lost confidence and trust in the process. While signing consent forms, I was uncomfortable with a provision allowing photographs ‘for educational purposes.’ They responded, ‘Oh, that is not really allowed, so you can cross it out. I do not know why it is still there.’ This was deeply concerning from a legal consent perspective. Finally, the most frustrating part was my follow-up call. I asked the physician for more information for the future, and she said she would adjust the current protocol, including a different trigger and a more aggressive medication regimen. Someone with the same initial laboratory results who froze eggs at a leading New York clinic had received high-dose medication and a different trigger from the beginning. I feel I was denied the opportunity to do the process properly the first time.

I had the privilege of completing three rounds of intrauterine insemination (IUI) under Dr. Malik’s care at Shady Grove Fertility, and I cannot praise her and her team enough. From the beginning, Dr. Malik showed extraordinary compassion, empathy, and attentiveness. She carefully listened to my concerns and clearly explained every step, making me feel genuinely cared for not only as a patient but as a person. Having a physician who was both highly skilled and emotionally supportive meant everything to me. I formed a strong connection with Dr. Malik and her team, and their kindness and professionalism helped me remain hopeful throughout. I am deeply grateful for everything they did to support and accompany me during such an important period of my life. Thank you, Dr. Malik and the Shady Grove team, for your care, encouragement, and unwavering support. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

We owe both of our wonderful sons to SGF! The SGF team is highly efficient, and we strongly recommend them!

We cannot say enough good things about our team—Dr. Nair and our nurses Rebecca and Olivia. They were compassionate, understanding, and encouraging. They explained everything clearly without sugarcoating it. Our journey was not smooth, but I always felt I had an excellent team beside me through the hardest times. We have now successfully graduated and are due in month 8 (August). Thank you, SGF!

I had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Nair and nurse Rebecca at Shady Grove. Thanks to the SGF team, I have a healthy baby girl, something that would not have been possible without them. I am deeply grateful for their professionalism, compassion, and expertise. They explained the entire process clearly and were always available to discuss any concerns or questions. I will always be grateful for the gift they gave me!

The doctors, nurses, and staff at Shady Grove Arlington are outstanding—very kind and responsive! I am deeply grateful to Dr. Nair and her clinical team for their support and guidance throughout.
17/07/2025
I had an appointment with Dr. Nair to discuss possible fertility treatment options. From the first visit, she was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. She patiently answered my questions and eased my concerns. Fortunately, my husband and I did not need any of Dr. Nair's services and conceived a few months later! After my test was positive, Dr. Nair and nurse practitioner Olivia were amazing. They gave me tremendous reassurance, support, and guidance, and of course shared in my excitement! Thank you both for your knowledge, encouragement, and advice... and for taking the first ultrasound pictures!

Shady Grove played a vital role in helping us successfully build our family. We have a healthy toddler and expect our second baby in October. They balance a focus on outcomes with giving patients the autonomy to choose the most appropriate treatment plan. They are experienced in treating patients of advanced maternal age and eager to help. I always recommend them, and Dr. Reh, to friends seeking fertility support.
14/07/2025
My husband and I came to Shady Grove Fertility later in life hoping to have a child, and we were fortunate to meet Dr. Reh. We were very nervous about fertility treatment, but Dr. Reh and her entire team were kind, explained everything clearly, and made us feel at ease. Before we began full treatment, Dr. Reh recommended several tests and vaccinations, and miraculously, we conceived naturally! Everyone on the team genuinely celebrated with us, which meant so much. I am only 15 weeks pregnant, so there is still a long way to go, but I am truly grateful to Dr. Reh for helping us achieve this pregnancy. If we decide to have another child, we will definitely return to her!

I cannot thank Shady Grove Fertility and Dr. Reh enough for helping us through our IVF journey and making our dream of becoming parents a reality. As a 39-year-old, I knew the odds were against us, but thanks to their expertise and guidance, we were able to retrieve one genetically viable embryo that resulted in a successful transfer. Shady Grove’s multiple locations made it so convenient to attend all of my monitoring appointments, and their early hours and efficient staff ensured my visits were quick with minimal disruption to my work schedule. Dr. Reh and her nurse team were always in touch, providing updates, reassurance, and guidance throughout the entire process. Dr. Reh also tailored a medication regimen specifically for me to give me the best possible chance at success, and it worked. My pregnancy went smoothly, and I was released from Shady Grove at 8 weeks gestation. A few weeks ago, I delivered a healthy baby boy, and I could not be more grateful. Becoming a mom is the greatest gift of my life, and I owe it to Dr. Reh and the amazing team at Shady Grove. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone going through this journey. Thank you again for everything!

Blood tests always make me anxious. I have had many unpleasant experiences, especially with procedures I had no choice but to undergo. Even so, I am grateful to Donna at the Arlington office for making my test smooth and painless.
07/08/2025
We will always be grateful to SGF, Dr. Nair, and her team. Over the past few years, we have seen how hard the staff work to make this difficult experience more manageable. They witnessed our happiest and saddest moments and always supported us. It has been wonderful to see the improvements the SGF team has made to the overall experience, from the front desk staff and encouraging words to everyone's positive attitude. Thank you!

Thank you to the SGF Arlington office! Thank you, Dr. Nair!! You made our treatment journey so wonderful! We sometimes felt overwhelmed, but Dr. Nair and the team kept us informed throughout. Dr. Nair explained every step and every option in detail and listened carefully to me. She supported me and provided real data to help me make the best decisions. During a sometimes emotional process, the nurses and staff were always warm, friendly, and helpful. I am now a proud graduate! At SGF Fairfax, you never feel like just a patient, but like family!! Thank you so much!

Olivia was outstanding during my egg-freezing cycle. She was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease during monitoring. Jackie also kept me informed, and I felt well supported throughout. Highly recommended!
27/11/2025
Very transactional experience here. Example: The Dr. failed to review our discrete issues before an appointment and when we brought some of them up, her response showed us that she failed to review our file/testing and instead only was regurgitating what is available on the NIH website. Billing is a nightmare: we were over billed (then refunded). Several tests were inputted incorrectly when ordered, just causing more stress during the already stressful process. Look elsewhere
25/11/2025
Dr. Malik is the best! If you are looking for a doctor who listens and genuinely cares, I absolutely recommend her! She gave me two beautiful miracle babies, and I am deeply grateful to her and her outstanding nursing team!
18/11/2025
The nurses and staff at SGF Arlington are wonderful! Dr. Malik and Olivia are highly knowledgeable, and their kindness and care were essential to our fertility journey. I was genuinely sad when my treatment ended because the staff were so wonderful. Our first baby is now healthy, happy, and almost 3 months old!
17/11/2025
Donna will be my first choice for blood tests from now on. I do not especially like having blood drawn, but Donna made the process easy and smooth. I highly recommend her; she is the best phlebotomist I have ever met.
15/11/2025
I had a wonderful experience here. From beginning to end, my care team was very helpful and made me feel comfortable throughout. Dr. Malik, nurse Rachel, and the entire clinical staff deserve 10 stars!
05/12/2025
The SGF clinical staff are wonderful. My interactions with Dr. Reh and Brianna were excellent; they responded promptly and openly discussed plans, questions, and concerns beyond the portal. Dr. Reh supported me from egg retrieval several years ago through recent IVF. I am deeply grateful to SGF for my healthy, happy baby, who is almost three months old!

I love the staff at Shady Grove Fertility. They are professional and explained every process in detail. The physicians and nurses made me comfortable throughout. I would recommend this clinic to friends and family.

I am a physician, and my wife and I came to Shady Grove Fertility after cancer caused fertility problems. We hoped they would bring some light to an extremely difficult time, but we were shocked by repeated errors, incompetence, and disregard for detail. The worst issue involved Dr. Reh. After our initial meeting, she created an intrauterine insemination (IUI) plan. My rough calculation showed that her planned 3 vials of semen amounted to only about 15% of a normal IUI, making it nearly pointless. We repeatedly requested a follow-up to understand why. Our concern proved justified: when we raised the issue several times, Dr. Reh clearly did not understand why she had created that plan. Without us, the problem might never have been found. Her carelessness would have wasted our time, samples, and money. Rather than apologize or acknowledge the error, she said, "Well, I see many patients every day..." This was appalling and unacceptable. The administrative team made other smaller but equally careless errors. They requested lab results submitted weeks earlier. We sent the intake coordinator Jessica 7 follow-up emails before she responded. She said we needed a form but never sent it. After weeks of follow-up, she replied that it was attached, but it still was not. We escalated the issue to senior managers Leah Valentine and Katie Martino, who acknowledged it but took no action. As of this review, I still have not received the form. We finally left for another clinic. We lost four months of trying to conceive and hundreds of dollars, but hope our experience helps others avoid the same outcome. Family planning requires meticulous care, and this clinic clearly cannot provide it.

Shady Grove Fertility in Arlington provides exceptional care from a professional team that genuinely cares about its patients. The doctors are knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything thoroughly; the nurses and staff are kind, responsive, and organized. The clinic runs smoothly, making what could be a very stressful fertility journey feel easier and more reassuring. I highly recommend this clinic for its high-quality treatment and compassionate care.

The person who answered the phone was unprofessional, and the amount of information required for registration was absurd, from personal details and a Social Security number to the date of marriage (why do they need that?). I understand their concern about clients not paying, but scheduling an appointment should not require such an extensive process or all of our personal information. When we canceled, they were unhappy, kept insisting that we reschedule, and even hung up on me (no thanks). Think carefully before scheduling there. Other locations may provide better service.
16/03/2026
I just want to thank Ms. Bree. There were a few minor difficulties at first, but once she arrived, everything went smoothly! Thank you, Ms. Bree and Dr. Nair. I cannot wait to grow my family with your help!
14/02/2026
I hope you never need fertility treatment, but if you have concerns, visit SGF. Their caring, thoughtful team can help address your worries and questions.
12/02/2026
Over the past five or six years, we had excellent experiences at SGF Arlington and other nearby locations. Under Dr. Malik's guidance, we were fortunate to complete several IVF cycles and ultimately have two healthy babies.
08/03/2026
My husband and I scheduled a consultation with Shady Grove Fertility and Dr. Reh because we plan to start a family in the near future and wanted to gather information in advance, including learning about health concerns and medical history affecting both of us. Instead of feeling welcomed and supported, however, we felt judged and discouraged. From the beginning, the entire appointment felt dismissive. We felt as though we should not have come so early, even though our goal was simply to obtain important information. Several of our questions were brushed aside or minimized instead of receiving the understanding and clear answers they deserved. The information the clinic provided was confusing and disorganized. We left still unsure about the next steps or what we should consider going forward. Worse, the clinic's overall atmosphere added to the poor experience. The staff were rigid and cold, as though helping patients were an inconvenience rather than part of the clinic's responsibility. Many of our questions received only answers such as 'That is not my responsibility' or 'You need to ask someone else,' without clear guidance about whom to ask or what to do next. Honestly, the front desk staff were the only people we encountered who made us feel comfortable. Fertility care is an extremely sensitive field requiring close attention to patients. Patients should feel supported, respected, and fully informed, especially during an initial consultation. We did not experience any of that here.
28/03/2026
Dr. Malik was very warm and kept me informed about all my options throughout treatment. She patiently answered my questions and made sure I felt comfortable at every step. I highly recommend Dr. Malik!

Words cannot express how grateful I am to Donna. She is quick and extremely efficient. I trust her completely with my lab work. No one else can do it as easily and quickly as she does. I wish I could request her when I visit other Shady Grove locations.

Olivia performed my saline ultrasound, and she was amazing!!
27/05/2026
I have not even met them yet. Why does it take over a month to schedule a consultation??? They also require testing more than ten days before the consultation. Do they think people have no jobs or lives? If I did not know people who had previously gone to SGF, I would have given up immediately.
14/05/2026
Words cannot express how grateful I am to Shady Grove Fertility in Arlington, Virginia. From the first phone consultation through every appointment, I felt welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for—essential during such an emotional fertility journey. Dr. Nair is amazing. She is knowledgeable and thorough and always explained every step of treatment patiently and clearly. She never rushed me and always answered my questions warmly and sincerely, making me feel like her most important patient. Her compassion and professionalism gave me confidence and peace of mind throughout treatment. I am very grateful to have her as my doctor. The front desk staff also deserve praise. Every time I entered, someone greeted me by name with a smile. They handled scheduling, forms, and insurance questions efficiently and with a friendly, positive attitude. They clearly understand how stressful this process is and do everything possible to make it go smoothly. The laboratory team—these amazing women are heroes. They always drew my blood before I had coffee, with a kind greeting and gentle touch. They were quick, skilled, and incredibly warm. I honestly began looking forward to seeing them each morning. Everyone at the clinic—nurses, coordinators, medical assistants, and all the rest—creates an atmosphere that feels more like home than a clinic. They celebrate your successes and support you through difficult moments. This team is exceptional, and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone beginning or continuing a fertility journey. Thank you, Shady Grove Fertility Arlington, for everything you do. You are the best. 💙

Five stars! Dr. Malik and everyone at SGF, including the nurses, front desk staff, and laboratory technicians, gave my husband and me exceptional support throughout IVF. Together they created an encouraging, hopeful environment that sustained us even when we felt hopeless. Although SGF physicians are in high demand, Dr. Malik always made time to speak or meet with me and never made me feel like a burden, even when I repeatedly asked her and the nurses questions. She is the most thoughtful and kind physician I have met, as well as highly skilled. She was open to different ideas and never made me feel there was only one possible path. I highly recommend her to anyone considering fertility treatment. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!
13/05/2026
had a wonderful experience with Shady Grove Fertility. David was incredibly helpful throughout the process and made everything feel much less overwhelming. The entire staff truly has a personal touch and makes you feel cared for every step of the way. Nurse Donna is absolutely amazing — kind, attentive, compassionate, and always willing to answer questions with patience and warmth. I’m truly grateful for the support and care I received here.
12/05/2026
My treatment journey has just begun, but the SGF team has been highly professional and helpful throughout. Dr. Nair is very approachable and patiently answered all my questions. Her coordinator, Bri, is also an essential part of the team. Bri always responds promptly to every message and worked with me under tight deadlines to arrange everything as quickly as possible. If you want a skilled and attentive team, I highly recommend SGF.
09/06/2026
Shady Grove is like buying a timeshare. They use bait-and-switch tactics and will not disclose the total cost of the entire process. They draw you in with videos, genetic testing, and unnecessary appointments. Only after you have wasted time and money on various tests and spent months being encouraged to continue do they finally tell you that IVF costs 37000 dollars.
17/06/2025
Dr. Levens is wonderful! Caring, compassionate, and kind—the list goes on. Although I felt anxious before the appointment, I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout. Given the circumstances, it was an excellent experience overall.
15/06/2025
Katie, the nurse practitioner, was wonderful. She took time to explain the follicle sizes and answered my questions after the ultrasound. Jackie, the registered nurse, was very approachable, welcomed questions, and explained the trigger instructions clearly! Thank you, SGF!
14/06/2025
Cathy, Jordan, and Jackie on the weekend team were extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to answer all our questions.
11/06/2025
This place was a disaster. I was treated by Dr. Rachana V. Garde at Shady Grove Fertility in Fairfax, and my care disregarded patient safety and medical judgment. Despite laboratory results showing a follicle-stimulating hormone level of 2.88 ng/mL and estradiol of 5,403 pg/mL, both clearly indicating a high risk of OHSS, Dr. Garde ignored the warnings, made no adjustments, and continued treatment. I was not warned, protected, or offered alternatives. As a result, I developed severe OHSS, experienced unbearable pain, and had to call 911 in the middle of the night. I was taken to the emergency room, diagnosed with a blood clot, and received emergency care. After retrieval, I was told most of my follicles had already ovulated, meaning the cycle was not only painful but also poorly managed and ineffective. The emotional trauma, physical suffering, and thousands of dollars in avoidable medical costs continue to affect my life. It took me more than a month to gather the strength to write this review. Whenever I think about the neglect, silence, and resulting harm, I relive one of the worst experiences of my life. No patient should experience this.
09/06/2025
Many thanks to Tutu and Calista. They are wonderful nurses who cared for me attentively from the beginning to the end of my procedure. Tutu ensured everything went smoothly and was very gentle.
29/07/2025
17/07/2025
Julie, the ultrasound technician, was wonderful. She explained everything clearly so I understood what was happening. Whether the news was good or bad, she gave me great reassurance.
16/07/2025
During my IVF treatment, SGF gave me the wrong medication midway through the cycle. Although the doctor informed me of the error, they did not apologize or meaningfully acknowledge what I experienced as a person during an already vulnerable treatment process. Ethically, this is concerning. Doctors follow the principle of 'do no harm,' and although mistakes happen, failing to acknowledge or apologize for them only compounds the harm. When I asked them to recognize the emotional impact this had on me, they only reimbursed the medication cost—nothing more. I had to inject a medication I never consented to and would never have used unless absolutely necessary. This experience mattered to me, but it seemed not to matter to those providing my care. At times, I felt less like a person and more like a number in a system. When something goes wrong, you may find yourself treated the same way. If you have had a similar experience at SGF, I encourage you to speak up. Leave a review. File a complaint with the Virginia Board of Medicine. Consider contacting the Virginia Attorney General's Office so they are aware of the clinic's pattern of care. Every voice matters; together, we can make the system more accountable and humane.

Dana made us smile today! Angie, Durso, Ali, Sve, Monique, Glenda, Rachel, Michelle, Claudia—the entire team! They made us feel welcome and relaxed during today's procedure. Thank you!

The information our coordinator/nurse sent my wife through the portal was often factually incorrect and even contradicted the doctor's information. We frequently had to send multiple messages to get a response about this very important part of our care, and replies were always significantly delayed. Billing was a complete disaster. It was nearly impossible to reach anyone except through the portal, responses took days, and they almost never addressed the actual issue. Once, when we finally managed to escalate a problem, we went from being told we had overpaid and had a large credit to owing a substantial amount within days. This was clearly not because of treatment, but because they could not provide accurate information. It also took us several literal months to finally receive an itemized bill. I am still trying to piece together the 17-page statement, which I suspect is intended to overwhelm us. The doctor was nice, although it was painful to learn after several cycles that research suggested trying a different approach. I do not know whether it would have worked better, but come on. This is painful enough already. I do not know how many other providers are within a reasonable distance, but given how expensive IVF usually is, it is best to find somewhere that will not take advantage of you. Good luck.

My procedure was perfect! Thank you, Monica, Dana, and Michelle, for everything! You are amazing!

Dr. Levens and the Shady Grove team are truly angels on earth. Over the past 13 years, I worked with two different fertility teams while trying for our second baby. With the other teams, I always felt overlooked. How could they move so many patients through so quickly while investing so little in them? At Shady Grove, I never felt rushed. At our first appointment, Dr. Levens was thorough, kind, and honest about our chances of becoming parents through different paths. We ultimately chose donor eggs because they gave us the best chance of becoming parents again. We had several detours, underwent a few procedures to make sure everything was right, and canceled several cycles because we were not where we needed to be. Dr. Levens and Stephanie were responsive and always explained what was happening. They made every step and what came next easy to understand. Dr. Levens always communicated with genuine compassion, whether the news was good or bad. He put my family ahead of his schedule. We graduated this week, and I cannot thank every one of them enough. Do not hesitate to try again or start over. The right team makes all the difference.

I am a patient of Dr. Levens at SGF Fairfax, and I highly recommend this clinic and team. From the front desk staff to the phlebotomists and every nurse, each person is invaluable. We often joked that we came here more often than we saw our family, but we could not have found a better "family." The SGF Fairfax team made the entire infertility treatment process smoother and more reassuring.

Great staff!
03/09/2025
I had a very poor experience with a phlebotomist on Sunday, August 17, 2025. 1. She placed the tourniquet too close to the blood-draw site, which obstructed needle insertion and left the area unsterilized. 2. She inserted the needle too forcefully, causing bruising at and around the site. 3. She kept sniffling and appeared ill but was not wearing a mask. Overall, very unprofessional!! This clinic is partly owned by a private equity firm. The problem is that private equity firms focus on annual profit growth rather than staff or patient well-being. Everyone seems overworked and irritable. Dissatisfied employees and doctors lead to dissatisfied patients. This clinic will only get worse.

I had an HSG with Monica at SGF Fairfax. She was professional and kind. I was very nervous beforehand, but it was one of the best procedures I have experienced. Monica was quick, and the procedure was painless. I highly recommend Monica to anyone who needs an HSG!

We worked with SGF Fairfax (Dr. Levens) for four years and have two beautiful children as a result. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Levens and all the nurses and techs at all the monitoring appointments. When we conceived both times, their joy for our family was so palpable. Thank you, SGF, for helping us become a family of four!
20/10/2025
I had an excellent experience at Shady Grove! The staff were all warm and friendly, and I would absolutely recommend it. Dr. Levens was wonderful. He carefully answered every question and was helpful and caring. I especially want to highlight my experience with nurse Adriane, who was amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure I received all necessary care and kept everything organized. During the hardest period of my life, she truly helped me and changed my life. I am very grateful that she was my nurse and for everything she did for me!

She was very professional, and I felt no pain during the blood draw. I was very satisfied with the service.

I cannot say enough good things about Shady Grove Fertility in Fairfax, Virginia. From the moment I entered, I felt warmth, kindness, and genuine care. The entire team—from reception to nurses and staff—was wonderful. Everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, supported, and truly cared for throughout the process. The nurses were compassionate and patient, always taking time to explain everything and offer reassurance when needed. The front-desk staff were equally excellent—welcoming, attentive, and always smiling. You can genuinely feel how much they care about everyone who enters. Shady Grove Fertility is more than a clinic. It is filled with people who understand what you are experiencing and make the process easier through kindness and generosity. I am very grateful for their support and highly recommend them to anyone seeking a fertility clinic. Special thanks to Colissa at the front desk—she is amazing! Many thanks to Sarah and Dr. Gannon; they are a wonderful nurse-and-doctor team!

The staff at SGF Fairfax, Monica and Monique, were excellent and made me feel very comfortable during my procedure. I also loved the décor and the inspirational boards placed in just the right spots, because sometimes you need encouragement when you feel afraid.
15/11/2025
There are no words big enough to express what Shady Grove has meant to me. Every single person I encountered—doctors, nurses, coordinators—treated me with a level of kindness I will never forget. They held my hand through the hardest moments, celebrated the small victories with me, and reminded me that I wasn’t alone. They didn’t just care for me medically; they cared for me emotionally, like family. Walking into my fertility journey, I carried so much fear and vulnerability. But from the very beginning, Dr. Gannon made me feel seen, heard, and truly understood. Her compassion, and dedication gave me a sense of peace I didn’t know I could feel during such an emotional time. She didn’t just guide me medically—she guided me with genuine care and humanity. I will forever be grateful for the way she supported me through every step. And Nurse Sarah… she became a source of strength and comfort on the days when I felt fragile. Her kindness and gentle reassurance lifted me more times than she’ll ever know. I am endlessly grateful for Dr. Gannon, Nurse Sarah, and the entire team who cared for me like family. They were the best to me in every possible way, and I will hold their kindness in my heart for the rest of my life. If you’re seeking a team who will treat you with genuine love, respect, and devotion, Shady Grove is that place.

I had a wonderful experience at Shady Grove Fertility. The staff were professional and compassionate. Nurse Catheryn was patient and calm and explained everything clearly. Dr. Browne was highly professional, made the entire procedure smooth and painless, and explained each step in detail. Nurse Chris was kind, friendly, and supportive, helping me feel comfortable throughout. I am very satisfied and sincerely grateful for their attentive care.

I was nervous about my egg retrieval, but I relaxed as soon as I arrived at the clinic. Every staff member was wonderful, but I especially appreciated the attentive care from Nurse Michelle Miriam. She even remembered my previous visit and asked how my vacation had been.

I was very pleased with the care team for my hysterosalpingogram (HSG)! Monique in triage was thoughtful and warm and put me at ease. She was kind and approachable throughout, making it easy to ask questions. My technologist Sue was also welcoming and attentive, always smiling and patiently explaining what to expect at each step. My doctor Amy was friendly and answered every question I asked. The entire procedure was very quick, and they were all attentive and caring. I was very satisfied and truly felt supported. Sue wished me well before I left, which meant a lot to me!

Ali and Amy made my day and helped me feel comfortable today.

I am immensely grateful to Dr. Eric Levens and his outstanding clinic team for guiding me successfully through IVF. IVF is physically and emotionally difficult, but the team made it much easier. They were consistently patient, supportive, and thorough in answering my questions and addressing my concerns. I genuinely felt cared for throughout the process and deeply appreciate their professionalism, compassion, and dedication.
22/12/2025
I like the Fairfax office, especially the medical assistant team. Anais is always very gentle when drawing my blood.
22/12/2025
I came for bloodwork last week, and Anais was so skilled that I felt nothing. I have had blood drawn all week, and she is the best phlebotomist of them all.
17/12/2025
My wife and I had an excellent experience at Shady Grove Fertility. The Fairfax office is well organized and truly provides one-stop care. The nurses and staff are kind, professional, and highly compassionate, supporting us through both good and bad news. Dr. Garde is outstanding—attentive, caring, and highly skilled. We are very grateful for the care we received and delighted to be expecting our daughter in November 2025. We highly recommend Shady Grove Fertility and Dr. Garde.
12/01/2026
I am very disappointed with Shady Grove Fertility (Fairfax) because of serious billing and insurance issues. Before starting egg freezing, I called to confirm that they accepted my insurance and was told they did. After treatment began, their financial department said my insurance was not accepted, forcing me to pay entirely out of pocket. Shady Grove Fertility never accepted my insurance and required me to self-pay for all services. Therefore, I had to pay for everything without insurance. But one year later, I received: • A 2024 bill for as much as $3,900, claiming my insurance did not cover the services. After I explained the situation, they finally corrected it to $2,000 a month later. What are they doing!!! This is fraud. My contract also clearly stated a $65 monthly storage fee, but I was charged $80. Worse, starting in July 2025, I was automatically charged twice each month ($160 total). Patients should check every charge carefully. There is no transparency or accountability.
07/01/2026
I am especially afraid of needles and being stuck. Analis was amazing—I did not feel a thing!
07/01/2026
Dr. Levens, Emily, and his team are amazing!!!
08/02/2026
My doctor, Dr. Emily Barnard, is wonderful, and I could not ask for anyone better. I am truly grateful to my entire care team. There was a billing issue, and I filed a complaint. Susan Allen, the director of patient care, called me the next day and resolved it. They were also very receptive to suggestions for improving the patient experience. I am glad Shady Grove maintains high-quality care and prioritizes the patient experience.
02/02/2026
Registered nurse Alice Sargent was very helpful, professional, and responsive. She clearly answered all my questions and kept me updated throughout the process. I greatly appreciate her care and communication. Alex Brouard was also excellent with financial guidance. She acted quickly, resolved issues promptly, and ensured everything was handled properly. Both provided outstanding service.
30/01/2026
Words cannot express my gratitude to the Shady Grove team, especially Michelle. This was my third IVF egg retrieval and Michelle's second time as my nurse, and once again she made a profound difference. Michelle is kind, empathetic, and deeply reassuring. During a process that can be stressful and emotionally intense, she always makes you feel genuinely heard, supported, and at ease. Her calm presence and sincere care grounded me and brought tremendous comfort at every stage. Because of Michelle and her attentive care, my experience was far better than expected. I am sincerely grateful to her and the entire Shady Grove team.
02/03/2026
Michelle is the best nurse we have ever met. She went above and beyond to ensure my wife was comfortable. Thank you so much to her and the FFX team!

If you are willing to do your own research, prepare, and advocate for yourself, SGF will be an ideal partner. I am currently receiving treatment at SGF Fairfax. Although minor issues inevitably arise, I can confidently say that the SGF team has incredible expertise and provides an excellent community service. Be prepared for unexpected issues such as insurance problems or physical responses; SGF is very good at adapting. Fast, convenient communication is SGF's greatest strength. Messages I send through the portal are usually answered within 24 hours and rarely take 48. Scheduling is easy, and the front desk staff work hard to accommodate last-minute needs. Finances are complex throughout healthcare. My insurer made mistakes and created obstacles at several stages of treatment. My financial counselor, Kimberly O., is amazing. She communicates quickly and effectively among me, my insurer, and my clinical team. She is very patient and responds remarkably quickly to both routine requests and unexpected urgent issues. My doctor is Dr. Garde, and my experience has been very good so far. I hope to share more details after I ‘graduate’ from SGF. I especially want to recognize the nursing team: Danielle and Jacqueline are angels. They went above and beyond to help with unexpected situations, and their level of care amazed me. The clinic is busy and fast-paced, yet they remain attentive to every patient, demonstrating exceptional skill and selfless compassion. I hope to update this review with more details soon :) Update: I ‘graduated’ from SGF in April 2025 and went on to have a healthy pregnancy and delivery! My sincere thanks to Danielle and Dr. Garde, both of whom have outstanding skill, expertise, and selfless compassion.
26/02/2026
Shady Grove Fairfax is wonderful, and the staff are very friendly! I had an HSG, and it was nothing like the frightening descriptions online; the entire procedure was very easy. Special thanks to Nurse Ann, Dr. Tutu, and technician Sue for making everything go smoothly and easing my anxiety. What a great team!
20/02/2026
Words cannot express my gratitude to Dr. Garde, SGF coordinator Danielle, and the entire Shady Grove Fertility team. From my first appointment until I graduated from SGF pregnant with my first daughter, they consistently treated me with the highest level of professionalism, compassion, empathy, and care. Infertility is an emotional and vulnerable journey, and this team made every step manageable, supportive, and hopeful. Dr. Garde's expertise and thoughtful attention kept me reassured and confident throughout. Coordinator Danielle was also outstanding—always responsive, organized, patient, thorough, and kind. She ensured I fully understood every stage of testing and IVF, from medications to injections, and regularly checked how I felt to ensure I was comfortable and reassured. Every staff member I met—nurses, medical assistants, front desk staff, and the embryology team—treated me with warmth, respect, and genuine care. Their attention to detail, organization, and communication were exceptional. I never felt rushed, confused, or overlooked. What truly distinguishes SGF is its empathy. The team understands that this journey is more than a medical process; it is about hope, dreams, and building a family. Their gentle care, emotional support, and constant encouragement meant everything to me. Because of their dedication, expertise, and unwavering support, I have now achieved my lifelong dream of becoming a mother. I will always be grateful to Dr. Garde, Danielle, and the entire SGF team for helping bring my daughter into the world. If you are considering fertility treatment, I wholeheartedly recommend Shady Grove Fertility. You will receive the best care.

Alex Brouard was incredibly helpful with my insurance, medications, and everything related to the process. It was physically and emotionally exhausting, financially stressful, and challenging, but she made everything much easier. She truly went above and beyond, even offering to help with other issues until everything was resolved. She also followed up several times to make sure everything was going smoothly, which I greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, Alex 🙏🙏🙏

Nurse Max and Dr. Aviana were absolutely fantastic. I went in for a test, and their kind, gentle manner made all the difference. They eased my concerns and were present and attentive. They deserve full recognition for their wonderful work.

Special thanks to Tamika B, who helped us achieve our best post-wash count, and to Alyse C, who performed the easiest and quickest intrauterine insemination (IUI) I have ever had. Best of all, it was successful.

To the doctors who performed my procedure, you were amazing! Max, Sue, and Heather, you performed my hysterosalpingogram, and the entire procedure was completely painless. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you!
09/06/2026
The “Shady Grove” organization is like buying a timeshare. They use bait-and-switch tactics. They will not disclose the final cost of the entire process. They draw you in with videos, genetic testing, and unnecessary appointments, and only after you have wasted all that time and money on testing and spent months being led along do they finally tell you that the entire process will cost $37000.

Hello everyone! I do not usually write reviews, but I suddenly wanted to write one for Ariana E. I have piercings and tattoos, yet I am afraid of needles. I hate blood draws because they always hurt. Ariana E is incredibly gentle! My veins are small and often require several attempts, but Ariana always succeeds on the first try, without pain. Once she told me she was finished and I had not even realized she had inserted the needle. I never imagined I would be an SGF patient, but I am truly grateful you have her. She calms me and makes blood draws very easy. I usually develop large bruises on my arms, but that has never happened with Ariana. Ariana, thank you for taking such attentive care of your patients!
12/06/2025
The staff at Shady Grove’s Fair Oaks clinic are wonderful! They are always compassionate and responsive. Although treatment was long and difficult, they always helped me find the right direction and answered every patient question. Thanks to them, I am now expecting our second miracle baby! I have been with Shady Grove for five years, and they have consistently been excellent. Science is always advancing, and I appreciate that they remain at the forefront of new research. Dr. Browne is kind and knowledgeable. The front-desk staff are very friendly as soon as you enter, which I especially appreciate because patients there may be uncomfortable. My veins are difficult, but phlebotomists like Hilary have never had a problem! My nurse Adrienne is extremely helpful and can clarify all my information and answer every question. Thank you, Shady Grove!

I have held this in for four months and finally need to let it all out. The only reason we endured it for so long was that we desperately wanted a child and kept trying to remain positive. After four months of treatment, however, all we had was frustration, emotional stress, and a great deal of wasted money. We chose this clinic only because of my insurance. Apart from the kind receptionists and ultrasound nurses, our experience at the Fair Oaks clinic was deeply disappointing. Most staff treated us like a burden, as though we were asking for favors rather than paying patients seeking help. This is difficult to say, but it must be said: one of the two phlebotomists, the taller one, was extremely rude, and based on my observations, her behavior appeared highly discriminatory. I do not say that lightly. I noticed that she treated people very differently. She never returned my greetings or responded when I thanked her and always maintained a cold attitude that made us feel we owed her something. I used to greet her with a smile but eventually realized she did not want our kindness. Yet she gave several other people special attention and was always enthusiastic with them. Once, she even disrupted our appointment time, made us wait more than an hour, and caused us to miss an important meeting without offering a single apology. She simply blamed someone else and maintained the same attitude. People say she is kind only to certain patients—the ones she chooses for 'special treatment.' The female doctor was almost never present. She acted more like an inaccessible celebrity than someone genuinely providing care. She did not listen or help and made us feel completely ignored. My assigned nurse handled only basic administrative work. Whenever I asked a question, she dismissed or minimized it. Once, I asked a straightforward question by phone, and the nurse simply laughed and said she did not know, as though I had asked something foolish. This was extremely unprofessional—if you do not know, you should ask the doctor or find out. It felt as though no one truly cared about us. Even the financial coordinator could not track our payments, causing our treatment to be placed on hold. After a great deal of effort, they finally told us it was just a 'technical issue.' If something goes wrong at this clinic, you are essentially on your own. They appear professional on the surface, but we never felt any real support. This was our first fertility clinic. After everything—the hope, heartbreak, and disappointment—we lost trust in it. The experience took an emotional, financial, and mental toll and was one of the hardest periods of our lives. Even so, we will not give up. We will continue our journey at another fertility clinic. I wish everyone going through this process good luck—please choose your clinic carefully.

My experience at Shady Grove over the past few months has been excellent. Communication has been very smooth. Dr. Swelstad is wonderful and explained in detail everything we needed to know during our time at Shady Grove. Every woman at the front desk was warm and friendly :) I recommend Fairoaks 100%!
29/08/2025
I always enjoy visiting my team at Fair Oaks! Hillary A. always has a smile, makes blood draws quick and painless, and even remembers which vein works best for me!
27/08/2025
I just had my second child with help from the SGF Fair Oaks team, and both experiences were excellent. Infertility is difficult, but this team helped me stay very positive throughout IVF. When fertility treatment requires frequent appointments, friendly faces make a tremendous difference, especially on blood-test days—thank you to Hillary, who gets it right every time. If needed, I look forward to returning for a third child!
22/08/2025
We love Dr. Gannon. She has been wonderful so far, and we cannot wait to continue with SGF! The Fair Oaks clinic is smaller but still excellent. We usually see her at the Fairfax clinic, but we are happy to go wherever she is!

I just called to schedule my first consultation, and the phone representative, Bria/Brea, was not very pleasant. A previous representative gave me different information, leaving me confused about the process. Rather than helping clarify it, she made me feel foolish. I hope the doctors are gentler.
26/09/2025
I want to leave a note of appreciation for Hillary at the Fair Oaks office. I called for information about services, and she was knowledgeable, answered my questions, and was very helpful in resolving my concerns. I greatly appreciated speaking with Hillary; she was cheerful and engaging.

Very friendly staff and environment. We greatly appreciate Dr. Ganon’s support and guidance!

I sincerely thank Dr. Ganon and the medical team, especially my nurse Megan, for their guidance and support throughout my IVF cycle. Their professionalism and encouragement were invaluable. The staff at the Fair Oaks office, particularly the front desk, were always very helpful with scheduling and information, making this difficult journey smoother. I am deeply grateful for their attentive care and wish other couples the best on their IVF journeys.

If I could give this clinic zero stars, I would. TriCare no longer covers medical services at any Shady Grove clinic. I reported poor care to the patient care coordinator but received no response. To reach her, I had to interrupt her while she laughed on a phone video with two phlebotomists as I waited more than 45 minutes for a blood draw. Federal employees and military members—active duty, reserve, and veterans—no longer receive coverage, while Shady Grove’s fees have increased. Their doctors are cold, uncaring, and unresponsive. I was repeatedly called by other patients’ names, and my doctor misstated my medical history. He also complained that he had spent too much time with me—only 10 minutes after 5 failed cycles—because he was too busy. Their finance department openly violated HIPAA by refusing to provide medical records (PHI) until receiving advance out-of-pocket payment. Care was not individualized, and the care team did not adjust treatment based on current results. Moreover, my partner and I are federal employees. During the government shutdown, when we were unpaid, they denied us care and forced us to stop an IVF cycle already in progress. Please seek care elsewhere. This practice only cares about its bottom line. Its doctors have poor pregnancy outcomes because continuing to charge you when you do not reach your fertility goals is more profitable. They exploit patients, and the finance department often cancels cycles on Friday afternoons when weekend appointments are scheduled. Try these clinics: Columbia Fertility Associates, CCRM Associates, Dr. Rifka, Washington Fertility Center. Best wishes.

Shady Grove Fertility is the best clinic. Carolina patiently answered all my questions and was exceptionally kind and friendly to me, which I greatly appreciate. Brenda also always made sure I was satisfied with every visit and interaction! Carolina and Brenda, thank you so much for going above and beyond for me and the other patients!
08/11/2025
The team at SGF Fair Oaks is always so kind and thoughtful. Supervisor Brenda stands out every time—not only is she professional, but she genuinely cares about every patient. She always takes time to listen, help, and make sure everything runs smoothly. It truly feels different to walk into a clinic that genuinely cares about its patients.

I have called Shady Grove Fertility in Fair Oaks several times with different questions, and Hillary and Daniela have been amazing every time they answered! They were patient, kind, and incredibly helpful in answering all my questions. I am nervous and excited about starting treatment, and they truly put me at ease. Their care and professionalism made a real difference. I am so grateful for their support!

Hillary and Daniela were both incredibly helpful! I am very grateful for all the information they provided to help me understand the process and for their positive encouragement!

Amazing clinic! Nurse Caitlin is wonderful and highly recommended! She made me feel welcome and very comfortable.
02/12/2025
We tried for more than three years and had nearly given up hope when my new primary care physician recommended Shady Grove. Our experience was amazing. Everyone was exceptional, from our excellent medical team, including Dr. Browne and our nurse coordinator Megan, to the welcoming front desk staff and the clinicians who checked my vital signs and performed my tests. Every step of the journey was handled with thoughtfulness and care. We are incredibly grateful. Thank you all—you gave us the best Christmas gift! xoxo

Financial education specialist Candace Vite was immensely helpful throughout what can be a challenging and confusing process! She always responded quickly and was very kind. You can tell she genuinely cares about everyone she works with and truly wants to help. She went above and beyond to support me through this period. Candace, I am so grateful for your help! I also want to thank all the clinic staff! The front desk team, phlebotomists, my nurse Katelyn, ultrasound technician Julie, and Dr. Gannon were all excellent and guided my husband and me through the entire process with great care and attention. Thank you! :)
26/11/2025
We had an amazing experience at Fair Oaks with Dr. Gannon! Thank you so much!!! After years of trying different methods without success, we had nearly lost hope. A friend suggested Shady Grove, and it worked on our first attempt! The team was very attentive and supportive. I am usually afraid of blood draws, but they adjusted the process so I would not faint, and everything went smoothly. The doctor and team explained the entire process in detail, answered all my questions, and continued to help throughout treatment. This made me feel very safe and reassured. I experienced some symptoms and felt overwhelmed, but the team was always there to answer my questions and provide guidance. We have now graduated from Shady Grove and are excited for the next stage. 😀 Thank you, Shady Grove Fair Oaks, Dr. Gannon, and her team!!!

Billing problems ruined an otherwise excellent care experience. I had a frozen embryo transfer (FET) in early August, and it still has not been billed correctly. I have repeatedly had to go back and forth between Shady Grove and my insurance company to learn the claim status. Shady Grove keeps telling me it is "under review" when it was actually denied two months ago, and they say they recently resubmitted the bill, though my insurer confirmed today that no new claim was filed. They had authorization for the procedure, so the claim should have been straightforward because the same codes were used. I feel passed between claims representatives, with no one taking ownership of the problem or treating it as important. I feel I must scrutinize every billing detail to ensure accuracy, which is extremely frustrating. I suspect the matter is less urgent to Shady Grove because if insurance does not pay, the patient will likely be responsible, which is very discouraging. I will update this review if the matter is resolved.
21/01/2026
This clinic and Shady Grove as a whole are scammers. They use bait-and-switch marketing. We provided our insurance information before the appointment, and they told us the service was covered and quoted a price. When we arrived, however, they claimed a fertility exclusion meant the appointment was not covered, told us to self-pay, and charged a higher rate. I called my insurer, and no such exclusion existed; my plan actually covered fertility testing and all related services. I spent hours arguing with Shady Grove customer service before they finally submitted an insurance claim. They kept pushing us to self-pay rather than use insurance so they could charge more. The doctor was good, but they look for ways to keep insurance from covering services so they can collect more. Update: My insurance company approved the claim. This proves they lied in order to charge more.

Excellent care experience! Everyone at this clinic was attentive, knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease throughout. Nurse Megan was especially outstanding—she always responded quickly to my questions and explained everything very clearly. Highly recommended!

Jennifer in the financial department is one of the most thoughtful and dedicated people I have worked with in years. She is not only approachable but deeply empathetic, with impeccable communication skills. I could feel how much she cares about her clients, and I was very fortunate to have her help with all my insurance and benefits matters so I could receive the services I needed as quickly as possible. Words cannot express my gratitude to Jennifer, my star nurse Sophie, Hillary, Dr. Swelstad, and the entire Fair Oaks team. I am sorry to see some negative reviews because Shady Grove is, after all, a very large organization with many people involved in handling such a sensitive matter—but my own experience has been wonderful from the start!
16/01/2026
First of all...everyone in our office is wonderful. But Caitlin B. deserves special recognition. She has always been an excellent nurse, especially when there was a problem scheduling my procedure at the Fairfax office. She went far above and beyond. I felt ignored and helpless, but she stepped in and advocated for me. She deserves everything good in the world and a five-million-dollar raise! 🩷🩷🩷

My heartfelt thanks to the Shady Grove Fertility – Fair Oaks team for the exceptional care and support they gave us. Dr. Swelstad was kind and thorough, clearly explaining every step and answering all our questions. Saimah was always responsive, supportive, and reassuring, while Jennifer made the financial side completely worry-free. I am also sincerely grateful to all the nurses and staff for their kindness and thoughtfulness. This journey was not easy, but the entire team made us feel supported and cared for, and they shared our genuine joy when we learned we were pregnant. Thank you for the beautiful and meaningful work you do.

The worst place! A complete scam! This is not a medical clinic but a predatory business model. After wasting more than $30,000 on multiple failed IVF cycles and overpriced medication, my advice is simple: run! This clinic operates like a profit-driven used-car dealership. They do not treat patients as patients; they exploit the desperation and grief driving you to empty your wallet. They profit specifically from your emotional pain and fear of infertility without showing any compassion. The truth behind the “care”: Manipulative sales: They exploit your desire for a family to sell expensive and unnecessary treatments. Questionable data: Do not trust their claimed success rates. Everything is carefully designed to keep the clinic's “business” profitable. Price gouging: Everything, from procedures to medication, is priced far above industry standards. The irony is that once we finally left this place and abandoned their “science,” a miracle happened—we conceived naturally. Do not let these people sell your hope back to you at a premium. Save your money, protect your sanity, and keep trying. Miracles do happen, but not because of the people in this building.

During our fertility journey, Dr. Gannon and her team created a safe, loving, and supportive environment. From knowing nothing at the beginning, through the most painful moments of our lives, to finally achieving pregnancy, they supported us warmly at every step. We had heard that many people hesitate about Shady Grove because they feel like just another number in the system, but our experience was completely different. We love our team and felt their encouragement every time we entered the clinic. I cannot imagine how we would have made it through this difficult journey without them.

If I could, I would give Shady Grove-Fair Oaks 100 stars! The infertility journey is incredibly difficult and discouraging much of the time, but this clinic always greeted me with warm smiles at my early-morning appointments. They always remembered my name and treated me with great kindness. They consistently responded promptly to my questions through their website or by phone. I just “graduated” from the clinic yesterday, and I will always be grateful to everyone I met there. They were truly wonderful and helped us fulfill our dream of becoming mothers! The entire team is very kind, especially the front desk staff Lesley, Hillary, Meghan, and Jullie, as well as Dr. Gannon.

The fair oaks team is very helpful. I felt cared for and guided step by step in this challenging process. Jennifer from financial, has been a true guiding hand with everything, specifically the insurance details. Love all the staff and Dr Swelstad that makes it easy to speak to.

Words cannot fully express our gratitude to Nurse Sara Conron, Dr. Alexandra Gannon, and Candace Vite. They played essential roles throughout our IVF treatment at Shady Grove Fertility Fair Oaks. These three talented, kind women reassure anxious prospective parents every day, and their patience and empathy often made us want to hug them, hold their hands, or cry with relief. They repeatedly went above and beyond to support us at every step of this complex journey. We can hardly imagine how difficult it is to navigate insurance, approvals, authorizations, verification, and countless other obstacles and institutions. My husband and I faced many setbacks and struggled with the process's complexity, but these three women helped us remain optimistic. We honestly could not have reached this point without their guidance and daily support. Their kindness is unmatched, and we are deeply grateful for the time, attentive care, and exceptional service they provided, far beyond anything we had experienced before. If you are considering IVF, choose the SGF Fair Oaks team without hesitation. Their expertise is outstanding. It is difficult to imagine a stage of life that could inspire more gratitude. Few decisions are more important than having a child, and their unconditional, continuous support was our lifeboat through rough seas.

Ariana was very helpful and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Thank you!

We first visited the Leesburg clinic about three years ago and had a terrible experience; my review is on that clinic's page. A friend later recommended Dr. Brown in Fair Oaks. About six months later, I had my first egg retrieval with her, but all the eggs stopped developing after three days. We felt devastated and hopeless, as though we were back at the beginning. Dr. Brown was retiring at the end of the year, and there was not enough time for another retrieval before she left. She said another doctor would be assigned in the new year. We tried again at the beginning of the year with our third doctor. Honestly, we had little hope, but the outcome was unexpectedly good. Dr. Swelstad and his team, including nurse Emily ❤️, were exceptional from beginning to end. From preparing for the second retrieval through the ultrasound after our successful transfer, they did everything possible to help us. I highly recommend them. Thank you for everything!!!
28/03/2026
The staff, nurses, and doctors were all wonderful. They patiently explained every step and were always available to answer my questions. Highly recommended! Special thanks to Dr. Gannon, nurse Sarah, and Candice for their help!

Jennifer Falcon has been our financial coordinator since we joined Shady Grove in 2024. She helped us navigate insurance changes and is always willing to answer my many questions. We sincerely appreciate everything she has done and will continue to do for us.

I am incredibly grateful to the fertility clinic's excellent team for making my dream of pregnancy come true. From the beginning, the staff showed exceptional kindness, support, and professionalism at every step. Special thanks to Dr. Gannon, whose expertise, patience, and compassion made all the difference. I always felt heard, cared for, and in the best hands. The journey was not easy, but having such a dedicated team beside me meant everything. I will always be grateful for their help in reaching this beautiful milestone. 💕

This clinic does not deserve its 4.3 average rating. Here is why: 1. You will feel like just one of their many "patients." 2. Be aware that the doctor there is inexperienced and offers only two IVF protocols regardless of who you are. 3. After two failed IVF cycles, they will strongly recommend donor eggs. 4. You cannot even reach the on-call doctor when you have questions. Considering the enormous amount we all pay for IVF, I find this unreasonable. 5. New nurses lack supervision and sometimes give patients incorrect instructions.

I am incredibly grateful to Shady Grove and modern medicine for helping me achieve my dream of becoming pregnant at 34 after years of infertility... Words cannot express my gratitude. Dr. Gannon, Phuong, Hillary, Megan, and the smiling, welcoming women at the front desk... Daniela, Leslie, and Brenda... It has been a long journey, but I know it will all be worth it when my baby arrives in November. I highly recommend Shady Grove. I never imagined I would reach this point after IVF, and I am so glad I did not give up. Thank you, Shady Grove!!!

I had a wonderful experience at the Fair Oaks location. Thank you to Dr. Gannon and her team—you made this miracle possible! Your kindness, patience, and attentive care made our dream come true, and we will always be grateful.

SGF Fair Oaks turned my experience around. I had previously received care from a provider at the Leesburg office, and we were not a good fit. He went so far as to say, "What the hell are you doing?" regarding the more patient treatment plan my husband and I chose, which was fully covered by insurance and aligned with our personal beliefs. We were ready to leave SGF until I was connected with Julie Bobersky. She listened to me, our story, our hopes for the journey, and what we were and were not comfortable with. She personally selected Dr. Brad Swelstad for us at Fair Oaks, and it could not have been a better move. Dr. Swelstad was patient, compassionate, and sensitive to our goals and dreams for our family. He treated our preference for patience with care and offered support and statistics that helped us feel informed and empowered. 2 short months later, after a similarly simple, low-tech treatment plan that was fully covered, we learned that we were expecting. I share my story in the hope of encouraging others to hold fast to their beliefs and what feels comfortable. If you do not feel supported, hold your head high and advocate for yourself and your family. Not all providers are the same, and thankfully, this practice is large enough that you, too, can hopefully find the support and care you need. The Fair Oaks front desk, phlebotomy team, and NP ultrasound specialist were always kind, prompt, respectful, and smiling. The music in the waiting room is always on point!

Dr. Gannon and Emily A. were tremendously helpful throughout the entire process. Infertility treatment is a painful roller coaster, but I truly felt that they were always there for us. They celebrated our victories, endured the heartbreak of our setbacks with us, and listened to my thoughts and advocated for me when the treatment plan needed to change. We are so excited for the next chapter of our lives, and none of it would have been possible without the two of them and the Shady Grove Fertility team.
18/06/2026
I highly recommend Dr. Alexandra Gannon and her team. We tried to conceive naturally for years without success and eventually decided to visit SGF to learn more about IVF. Although I had heard that some people disliked the clinic's size and felt it was like a "factory," our experience was nothing like that. From our initial consultation with Dr. Gannon through our final graduation visit, we never felt like just a "number." Dr. Gannon genuinely cares about her patients, and this was evident in every conversation and interaction. She is highly skilled, and she made our experience at SGF so positive. Our nurse coordinator, Sophie, was also outstanding—always warm, gentle, and patient. She answered every one of my many questions. Our nurse, Tiffany, was wonderful as well—always positive, kind, and friendly. Here, they remember your name, know your story, and show a level of care that I have never experienced from any other doctor or nurse. Our IVF transfer was successful, and we graduated from SGF. I miss this core team so much. They do excellent work, and I am sincerely grateful to them. I strongly recommend seeing Dr. Gannon if you can—she is the best.
18/06/2026
We had an amazing experience with Dr. Gannon at Shady Grove Fertility in Fair Oaks. The care, expertise, and compassion I received from the team throughout my treatment exceeded my expectations. I would especially like to give a shout-out to my nurse, Sophie, who truly made a difference in our experience. She was there for us every step of the journey. She patiently answered countless questions, listened to our concerns, and guided us through every stage of the process. Her kindness, responsiveness, and encouragement provided tremendous comfort during a challenging time. We had the opportunity to transfer to a Shady Grove Fertility location much closer to our home, but we chose to remain at Fair Oaks, mainly because of Sophie. Knowing she would continue to be part of our care team gave us confidence and peace of mind throughout the process. We are incredibly grateful to the entire SGF Fair Oaks team!

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. Infertility is a difficult journey, but it connects you with some of the best people in the world. Everyone at the clinic is invaluable, and knowing they truly care about you makes the journey easier. I highly recommend them to anyone struggling. You will not regret it. Thank you, Shady Grove, for making our miracle possible.
31/05/2025
I came here because I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and wanted someone who genuinely cared and could help me. This clinic made me feel more important than any other clinic had. Before coming here, I saw four OB-GYNs. This clinic found a medication that effectively treated my PCOS without making me ill. The nurses are exceptionally kind, and words cannot describe how wonderful this clinic is. Stop hesitating and come here.
13/05/2025
It was a pleasure working with the Fredericksburg clinic! Thank you all for your kindness and care. Dr. Nancy Durso, you gave us so much hope from our first visit, worked with us as we made treatment decisions, and truly listened to me. I am deeply grateful! Thank you to nurse Marioghae for her assistance and nurse Lauren for patiently answering questions and helping us throughout the process! Thank you also to all the clinic’s wonderful staff! Highly recommend. We are so grateful to this clinic for helping us have our son.
13/05/2025
Dr. Nancy Durso and her team are wonderful. I felt welcome and calm during treatment and never had a negative experience there. Every concern and fear was addressed professionally and thoughtfully. I highly recommend this team!
29/03/2025
Outstanding professionals throughout: Dr. Durso, nurse Lauren, the phlebotomists, ultrasound technicians, and embryology team. Even when I visited other locations, including Fairfax, I met professionals who clearly love their work. I most appreciated their communication and the relaxed feeling that they listened to my concerns and understood how emotional this process is, ensuring we received the best professional care! A wonderful medical family! I am grateful for my experience at SG FXG! Thank you all!
23/07/2025
This clinic is amazing! Everyone is helpful and friendly and truly knows what they are doing. I have no complaints at all. My nurse, Anna, is always attentive and supports my decisions, whatever I choose. She is also always reachable by phone or portal message. The only drawback is that I sometimes have to go to Woodbridge or Fairfax for monitoring or certain treatments that are available only at another location or when no provider is present. That is not the clinic's fault. I have been a Shady Grove patient in Woodbridge and Fredericksburg since 2020 and honestly highly recommend both clinics! Even Ashley, the financial counselor I worked with through SG, was very professional and knowledgeable about insurance and benefits. I have read about poor experiences at other clinics, but mine has been excellent!
21/07/2025
If you are struggling with infertility or uncertain about your path to pregnancy, go to SGF. Dr. Nancy, whose last name I have forgotten, is amazing. Hers is the best fertility clinic team I have encountered. If you need a doctor for fertility concerns, go to SGF. I love her and her team. They once saved my life. I had high blood pressure and did not even know it. During testing and evaluation, the doctor identified it and helped determine the source of my fertility problems. I later saw a cardiologist who confirmed it. In any case, my baby is now 16 months old. Dr. Nancy cares about you and takes every aspect of your health seriously.
18/07/2025
The SGF team was outstanding throughout my three years of treatment. Dr. Durso, Anna Harriot, and the other team members at SGF Fredericksburg were professional, knowledgeable, approachable, and willing to listen to and answer any question. When I lost my baby, I felt respected and supported rather than treated as just a number. Dr. Durso never gave up, supported every attempt, and honestly shared the data for each procedure. SGF is the reason I am now a mother, and I will always be grateful. I highly recommend SGF.
04/12/2025
We had an amazing experience with Shady Grove and would highly recommend them to anyone going through challenges with fertility. Dr Durso, Anna, and the entire team front-to-back were so supportive and compassionate throughout our journey. We really appreciated how open and honest they were in answering all of our questions. I visited three of the other SGF offices (for weekend appointments or procedures) and everyone I interacted with across the board was genuine and nice. We're so thankful for SGF! Their passion and care for us kept our hope alive.

After years of trying and heartbreak, I am delighted to announce that my husband and I finally welcomed our beautiful baby. Honestly, at one point I thought it would never happen because I experienced nearly every medical setback along the way. However, Dr. Durso and nurse coordinators Vivien and Anna never gave up on us or our dream. My baby girl is only one month old, but she is perfect to me. Whenever I look at her, I remember the journey I completed with the support and encouragement of the Shady Grove team. It was all worthwhile.

My experience at Shady Grove was not positive. I scheduled IUI in 2022 and was very confused about the process and timing. On day 3, I went for an ultrasound and paid for both the ultrasound and IUI. After medication was prescribed, I received a call saying my BMI was too high, which devastated me. I understand the process, but I wish someone had explained it before I traveled to Woodbridge. Years later, I lost the required weight and more, then tried to schedule IUI again. I completed the intake forms and called but never heard back. I have attended another fertility clinic where someone is always available by phone, the office is open 7 days a week, and patients do not wait months for a response. Fortunately, I became pregnant through IUI. Looking back on everything, I do feel I wasted time and money at Shady Grove. The people were kind, but I wish they communicated better.
13/02/2026
This will be a long review because I was treated here for several years. In only a few years, we completed 3 natural cycles, 12 intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles, and 1 egg retrieval. I admit there were a few billing errors when claims were submitted to insurance, but they were corrected quickly. Billing issues during treatment are stressful, but these were not deal-breakers because they were resolved promptly. Sadly, Rosario has left; she was wonderful. She cried with me and hugged me after every failed cycle, and I am deeply grateful to her. The new phlebotomist is equally good and very gentle. I am a difficult blood draw, so I am thankful they have someone so skilled! My nurse is Anna. I cannot remember my first nurse's name, but both were very gentle and thoughtful, especially given how many calls they must make to tell patients that cycles have failed. They are sensitive about the nature of each call and know how to communicate with people longing for a child. The entire clinic understands the pain of infertility. Even with secondary infertility, children are not allowed in the clinic because of the sensitivity involved. I saw several physician assistants, and my primary doctor was Dr. Nancy Durso. She is the best. It was clear that she genuinely cared about her patients. She does not do this only for money; she truly wants to help people build families. She would talk with me, ask how I was doing, or chat about music, and I never felt like just another source of revenue at Shady Grove Fredericksburg. I love my team. Sometimes I had to go to Fairfax, which was inconvenient, but I understand they are closed on weekends and timing sometimes requires it. Dr. Durso also performed my egg retrieval in Fairfax. Amazingly, I conceived naturally in the same month as the retrieval, so I never needed a transfer. They monitored my pregnancy until about 10 weeks, then transferred me to my OB-GYN for continued care. About three weeks after my son was born, Anna called to check on us. It was so thoughtful and unexpected! She arranged for me to bring my son to meet the staff—the team that had helped me conceive him. They scheduled it during lunch so patients still undergoing infertility treatment would not encounter a child in the clinic. Even now that my son is here, I remain grateful for their sensitivity toward patients who are still struggling. Overall, the clinic staff are friendly, empathetic, and thoughtful about the sensitive nature of treatment. From the front desk to the nurses, phlebotomist, physician assistants, and of course Dr. Durso, the entire team is wonderful. I am deeply grateful to this clinic, though it feels bittersweet not to need them anymore. Of course, the goal is ultimately not to need them, but you form strong bonds with people who care for you, so leaving can feel sad.
18/02/2026
Amazing!!! Every clinician was professional, thoughtful, understanding, and attentive to all your needs. Dr. Durso is the best! It is reassuring to find a doctor who truly listens. She is a gem my family and I will always treasure. My little prince was born healthy after our first cycle. That says it all!
21/03/2026
This clinic is wonderful! Dr. Durso and Lauren have helped us welcome two children, and I highly recommend them!
23/04/2026
The entire staff is always kind and helpful, but I especially want to recognize Lauren and Dr. Durso. Lauren always had an answer ready for all my questions, and Dr. Durso is exceptional at what she does. I could not be more grateful for such an amazing team.
20/04/2026
I struggled to conceive and tried almost everything. Shady Grove was my last hope. My first attempt succeeded, and I became pregnant with my little girl, which brought me immense joy. I thank Shady Grove for helping me have the child I had always dreamed of and never thought possible. God placed these doctors here for a reason. I also thank Dr. Durso for her patience and help in enabling me to conceive my daughter.
18/04/2026
From beginning to end, my experience at Shady Grove Fertility was excellent. Fertility treatment can feel overwhelming, but the entire team made the process supportive, organized, and hopeful. Special thanks to my nurse, Lauren, who went far beyond expectations. She was always responsive, compassionate, and knowledgeable. No matter how many questions I asked, she patiently explained everything and ensured that I felt reassured and confident at every step. Her kindness and dedication meant so much during a stressful and uncertain time. I am deeply grateful for Shady Grove Fertility's professionalism, attentive care, and genuine compassion. They treat every patient as an individual, not a number. I highly recommend them to anyone on a fertility journey.
17/04/2026
My fertility coordinator, Lauren, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, encouraging, and kind. She made me feel like a priority and answered my countless questions with patience and humor. Every staff member was friendly and professional. They made a potentially frightening and difficult time much easier.
16/04/2026
Everyone at the Fredericksburg location is wonderful and highly professional! They make you feel welcome and comfortable every time you visit.
12/05/2026
Wife and I went through SGF for our second child. Great personnel from the front staff to the medical team onsite. Appointments were easy to schedule, ample availability of appointments and for the most part the waits were minimal. The parking lot can get a bit packed, which means you will have to walk a little, less than 5 minutes.
12/05/2026
I want to give special thanks to Dr. Durso, Nurse Anna, and Nurse Practitioner Laura. My husband and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting a baby boy in November 2026, thanks to Shady Grove Fertility. My father passed away on March 14, 2025. I had my embryo transfer on March 13, 2026, one day before the first anniversary of his death. I went through three failed intrauterine inseminations (IUIs) and one successful in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle. It was a long and difficult journey. I enrolled in the IVF high-risk program, which was expensive, but my mother helped me greatly. My employer provides good insurance, but it did not cover any medication costs, so I had to pay out of pocket. Keep in mind that medication costs add up quickly. Also remember that many others are going through the same experience. Keep your spirits up, and stay strong and brave! I would recommend Shady Grove Fertility to anyone who longs to have a family.
29/07/2025
The SGF Leesburg team gave us tremendous support during our struggle with infertility, and we strongly recommend this clinic and Dr. Khan to other families who need help. After multiple miscarriages and a long period of being unable to conceive, we realized we needed assistance. Dr. Khan and his team helped us succeed in just one cycle! Everyone at the Leesburg office was professional and responded promptly to emails and calls. I always had many appointment times to choose from. Overall, our SGF experience was wonderful, and we still cannot believe we are about to welcome our baby.
16/07/2025
I began my journey at SGF Leesburg in October 2024. By April 2025, after one egg retrieval and one transfer, I was pregnant. I am very grateful for the team's work throughout the process, especially reception and nurses Kelly, Claudia, Jackie, and Vanessa. They are highly professional and do their best to meet your needs. From the beginning, Jackie was knowledgeable and friendly and immediately made me comfortable with the clinic. Kelly was my nurse, and her professionalism showed both experience and approachability. I sometimes felt guilty about my many questions, but she always answered promptly without making me feel foolish. Finally, although I did not interact much with Dr. Khan, I appreciated that he promptly gave the staff feedback on my case. This is a wonderful team, and they made my experience feel easy. I know IVF is not actually easy; that feeling was entirely due to this excellent staff.
07/07/2025
As a healthcare provider, I know how difficult it is to create such a comprehensive, efficient, and caring environment for patients. Dr. Khan's practice achieves that and more. The nursing team always responded quickly, and he called or messaged me when needed. My appointments were always prompt and on time. Dr. Khan treated me not only as a colleague but, more importantly, as a patient receiving attentive care, for which I am grateful. At my graduation appointment, he hugged me, moving my sister and me to tears. Such compassionate care is rare but essential in today's world, and I am very thankful to have a physician like him. You cannot go wrong choosing him!!!
24/06/2025
I have seen Dr. Khan since 2018, and Shady Grove has been a very important part of our lives. Through in vitro fertilization, we welcomed our baby girl in April 2022. I can honestly say I always felt supported by the entire clinic, like family. Despite all the ups and downs, I will always be grateful to Shady Grove for helping us receive this extraordinary gift!
24/06/2025
Although my three-year journey at Shady Grove was long, I am truly grateful to everyone—from the administrative staff to the nurses and doctors—for their care and concern. Everyone was friendly, communicated well, and did excellent work. I highly recommend this clinic!
28/08/2025
Infertility is a painful and challenging experience. I did not know what to expect, but the Leesburg team truly made me feel cared for like family. My first IVF embryo transfer ended in miscarriage, which nurse Kelly discovered in the office during my 6-week scan. Claudia, Vanessa, and Kelly made me feel so cared for that I will always remember it. I am deeply grateful that they accompanied me throughout this journey. Dr. Khan is very reserved. He is intelligent and has an excellent team, so you do not interact with him often, but he is highly knowledgeable and patiently explains things when you ask questions. Overall, I have just graduated and am now 10 weeks pregnant, and the Leesburg women were the people I most wanted to tell. Kelly, Claudia, and Vanessa have supported me throughout my pregnancy, and I could not have reached this point without them. I cannot wait to return after my baby is born and introduce her to them. She would not exist without the Leesburg team.
10/08/2025
I recommend SGF to everyone! They care about their patients and do everything possible to help! Thanks to them, we have our miracle daughter 💕
10/09/2025
We have been going through this for many years, and it has been truly difficult...but I know I am not the only one, and many people visit SGF every day...Yet Theresa and the other SGF staff recognized my name as soon as I walked in. I did not expect much because I know they can be very busy at times, but even so...they smiled, greeted me, and encouraged me every day. Nurses Claudia and Wendy did more than draw my blood and send me on my way...They always supported me and gave me hope. Nurses Kelly and Stephanie were also always there for me. They tirelessly guided us, answered my countless questions, and eased my anxiety. For those of us who endure so much stress every day...we appreciate everything you do for us. Special thanks to Dr. Khan. 🥲 Thank you, Claudia, Wendy, Theresa, Kelly, Stephanie, Vanessa, Jackie, Mackenzie, and Coleen. Thank you, SGF!
10/09/2025
Dr. Khan, Nurse Theresa, Claudia, Wendy, and Vanessa were a top notch team!! I've been with SGF for 4 years but had to switch locations. They were always available to take my questions, thorough explanations, and a clear plan. I'm so thankful for that team and was excited to share my excitement with them!
17/09/2025
I had an excellent IVF experience in Leesburg. Dr. Khan is knowledgeable and patient and always offered me the best treatment options. I greatly appreciated the clinic's transparency and clear communication from start to finish. The entire process was smooth and well organized, making an otherwise stressful treatment feel manageable. Special thanks to my nurse Mackenzie, my financial coordinator Taylor, and Claudia, who handled all my blood draws. They were all kind and supportive and made me feel very well cared for throughout treatment.
08/10/2025
I cannot say enough good things about Shady Grove Leesburg. Everyone was helpful throughout and made a stressful situation much easier. Every visit felt welcoming, from Vanessa at the front desk to Claudia and Wendy drawing blood. All the nurses were helpful and caring. My RN coordinator Stephanie was consistently responsive and knowledgeable. I will never forget her empathy when delivering both good and bad news. Financial coordinator Taylor was easy to work with and answered many questions about treatment costs, insurance approvals, and more. Dr. Kahn was also approachable and helpful, explaining every treatment process in detail and reassuring us. Thank you again to the Leesburg team for everything you did for our family.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Shady Grove Fertility in Leesburg. They were attentive, efficient, professional, considerate, and respectful throughout. They helped us identify the root cause of our infertility, and we will always be grateful that they helped us bring this precious little life into the world!
24/10/2025
Although my SGF doctor is in Fairfax, I often went to Leesburg for monitoring appointments while preparing for our second child. The nurses and technicians there were amazing—kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. They were thrilled when we tested positive, and nine months later our baby arrived! Thank you, SGF Leesburg, for everything you did to make this possible.
24/10/2025
The entire staff was extremely helpful throughout our journey, especially Vanessa and Bailey. They took the time to get to know me and made me feel supported and reassured every step of the way!
14/10/2025
Throughout my long IVF journey, the team at Shady Grove Fertility in Leesburg felt like family. From the beginning, they brought smiles, encouragement, and compassion through every step. Their kindness and professionalism kept this difficult journey hopeful, even through heartbreak. Dr. Khan deserves special recognition for his extensive knowledge and genuine care. He took the time to explain every step and always made me feel heard and supported. Even after I graduated, he continued checking on my pregnancy—a true reflection of how deeply he cares about each patient’s story. Everyone at the clinic played an important role in making hope feel attainable. They supported me through multiple miscarriages and celebrated when I finally “graduated” to my OB-GYN. It was a bittersweet goodbye because they had become such an important part of my life. I will always be grateful for this team’s expertise, warmth, and unwavering support.
17/12/2025
I enjoy coming to SGF because I am greeted by the staff's friendly faces and smiles every time. Claudia and Wendy are excellent at finding my difficult veins! Bailey's warmth and kindness make every follow-up visit welcoming. I love coming here not only because it brings me one step closer to having a baby, but also because I feel every staff member genuinely cares about me and my pregnancy. I highly recommend SGF, especially this location! :)

Words cannot describe how wonderful Shady Grove Fertility in Leesburg is. We became pregnant after two intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles. I wanted to wait until we officially welcomed our baby in early December before sharing this review. From our first appointment, every staff member was wonderful. Everyone we met was kind, supportive, and welcoming, making an otherwise emotional and stressful fertility journey much easier. They patiently explained every step, answered our questions, and reassured us throughout the process. The team's care and thoughtfulness made our experience extremely positive, and I am deeply grateful for their role in helping us build our family. I especially want to thank Kelly, who supported us throughout and made the entire experience even better. I am profoundly grateful to the Shady Grove team in Leesburg and highly recommend them to anyone on a fertility journey.
07/12/2025
I recently transferred to SGF from another four-letter fertility clinic in our area, and the difference between the two is remarkable. From my first appointment at SGF, I felt truly heard and understood, which I had never experienced before. Dr. Khan believed me, took my concerns seriously, and ultimately helped me obtain the diagnostic procedure I needed. It had a tremendous impact on our outcome, and I am very grateful for his expertise and compassion. He is honest, reliable, and knowledgeable. My intrauterine insemination (IUI) protocol was very different from what I had become accustomed to at my previous clinic, but Dr. Khan was right. Our first IUI was successful. I also want to praise the nursing team. My nurse—hello, Stephanie!—always responded the same day, which made the process much easier. Wendy, Bailey, and all the medical assistants treated me warmly, patiently, and positively at every visit. They made obtaining prescriptions simple and relieved much of the burden of fertility treatment. The clinic is always clean, well arranged, and welcoming. Even the wait times are very short, usually no more than 20 minutes, which I greatly appreciate. The telephone support staff made the transfer process very simple; they were professional, efficient, and reassuring. Overall, my experience at SGF Leesburg was excellent, and I genuinely believe transferring here was essential to our treatment journey. I highly recommend this clinic. Thank you to everyone at SGF Leesburg for all you have done for us.
07/12/2025
I am very satisfied with the entire fertility process because everyone treated us with patience and kindness. Thank you all for helping us at every step of our journey, from Vanessa, Claudia, and Wendy, who handled bloodwork, to our nurse coordinator Stephanie and Dr. Khan.
06/12/2025
My experience at Shady Grove was excellent. All the staff, including Venessa, Claudia, and Wendy, were very supportive and helpful. Dr. Khan and Stephanie were highly knowledgeable and responded promptly to my questions. IVF is a very difficult journey, but with good support, it is all worthwhile. At Shady Grove, every staff member feels like family. They understand the challenges patients face and provide attentive care and support at every step!

I have nothing but praise for this clinic and every staff member. My previous IVF experience was unpleasant, but Shady Grove Fertility in Leesburg gave me confidence in this IVF journey. I felt reassured from start to finish. Dr. Khan and his physician assistant were knowledgeable and very approachable. Everyone was friendly and efficient, from Vanessa at the front desk to phlebotomists Claudia and Wendy. My coordinator Jackie, nurse Mackenzie, and the other nurses were wonderful, helpful, and responsive. Thank you to Taylor for the detailed explanations about financial matters. Office manager Coleen was also warm and friendly. Our heartfelt thanks for helping create our miracle baby. We will always be grateful!

Shady Grove is amazing! They always schedule my appointments as quickly as possible and follow up after every visit. They make me feel like I am the clinic’s only patient. 🩷 Claudia, Vanessa, Stephanie, Baylee (spelling may be incorrect), Wendy, and Dr. Khan are all outstanding, and I would recommend them to my family.

My infertility journey began many years ago. I tried many approaches and visited many clinics but never found a plan that truly suited me. Once I found Shady Grove, everything became easier and clearer. Dr. Kahn is highly knowledgeable and truly understands what my body needs. I felt reassured and supported at every step, and my infertility journey soon came to an end. I highly recommend Shady Grove—from the front desk staff, especially Vanessa, who is always warm and friendly and remembers everyone’s name, to my nurse Stephanie, who is consistently attentive and available to answer every question. Even the ultrasound and blood draw teams made every appointment easy and comfortable, which means so much during such an emotional process. Shady Grove truly deserves five stars. I will always be grateful to this team.
12/01/2026
Shady Grove has been wonderful throughout the entire process. From diagnostic testing to egg retrieval to transfer, they were always caring and professional. Wendy and Claudia are amazing at what they do and made all the blood draws go by seamlessly. Dr. Khan was wonderful at tailoring our plan based on our needs. Lastly, Stephanie was the best nurse ever. She always answered my questions in a timely manner and was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend to anyone who is having difficulty conceiving.

I have been a patient at this clinic for nearly two years, and because of poor communication between the doctor and nurses, we have not even completed one full IVF cycle. Dr. Khan treated me like a number. First, he was over an hour late for our consultation; that should have been the first warning sign. My hormone levels were low, and when I asked how to improve them, he said it was impossible and that this was simply how things were. I completed 6 months of GLP-1 treatment, lost 30 pounds, maintained a high-protein diet, and repeated the labs—my levels reached the minimum threshold! He performed two IUIs, both unsuccessful. He diagnosed endometriosis but told me surgery would not help. I left the Leesburg office and transferred to Dr. Browne at Fair Oaks. At our first meeting, she told me I could not become pregnant with endometriosis and needed surgery immediately. One more thing!!! I received lab results and called the clinic with a question. The nurse said, “I’m sorry, Dr. Khan does not take phone calls. You need an appointment to see him...” I need an appointment just to ask one question? That was all I wanted to know. I strongly advise against this clinic. It was profoundly disappointing.

We have nothing but praise for the Shady Grove team in Leesburg! They are caring, excellent communicators, and very thoughtful. I felt completely at ease working with Claudia, Stephanie, Julie, Jackie, and Dr. Khan during my fertility journey. We love this team and look forward to building our family with their help!

Claudia is amazing! I am always happy to see her because she is so kind and gentle when drawing blood. She is highly skilled, friendly, and always smiling. Vanessa at the front desk is also wonderful! She is consistently warm and friendly and handles calls and appointments promptly. Stephanie is wonderful too. She patiently answers every question, no matter how silly, with compassion. Dr. Khan is very knowledgeable and confident in his work. He is direct, which I appreciate—I do not like sugarcoating. I value his thorough, meticulous approach. Thank you, Shady Grove Leesburg!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My experience at Shady Grove Fertility in Leesburg was exceptional. From the beginning, Dr. Khan made me feel valued, heard, and genuinely cared for. His expertise, empathy, and patience in explaining every step of treatment gave me reassurance and confidence during this emotional journey. What truly distinguishes this clinic is the outstanding team behind it. Claudia in the lab was always efficient and friendly, making every lab visit easy and stress-free. Vanessa at the front desk was welcoming, attentive, and organized. She always greeted me warmly and made scheduling simple. The nursing team—Stephanie, Theresa, and Mckenzie—was equally outstanding. They were knowledgeable, patient, and highly supportive, always responding quickly to my questions and helping me feel reassured at every stage of treatment. Their care and consideration meant so much. Special thanks also to Jacki (PCC), who helped coordinate everything smoothly, and manager Coleen, who leads such a professional and compassionate team. It is clear that everyone here genuinely cares about patients and does everything possible to provide personalized support. Fertility treatment can feel overwhelming, but this team made me feel hopeful, supported, and no longer alone. I am deeply grateful to be under the care of Dr. Khan and the entire Leesburg Shady Grove team. I sincerely recommend this clinic to anyone beginning a fertility journey. 💕✨

Although this thank-you is a little overdue, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Shady Grove Fertility for helping me fulfill my dream of becoming a mother. After a long and emotional journey, the wonderful team at Shady Grove Fertility consistently gave us the care, support, compassion, and expertise we needed. They never made us feel like just another patient. During one of the most important times in our lives, they treated us with kindness, understanding, and genuine hope. Today, I am the proud mother of a baby boy who is almost 9 months old. Every smile, laugh, and milestone reminds me of the precious gift they gave our family. Words truly cannot express how grateful we are. Thank you to Dr. Khan, the nurses, Claudia, and every staff member who was part of our journey. We sincerely appreciate you. You helped make our dream come true, and we will never forget it. ❤️ Our little angel is almost 9 months old, and we think of you often. Thank you for helping us become parents.

Throughout my care at SGF, I felt calm, reassured, and relaxed. For personal reasons, I had to change my treatment plan several times, including making a last-minute adjustment, and they were always thoughtful and flexible. Thank you to Dr. Khan, Stephanie, Claudia, and all the clinical staff who helped me through this journey.

It has been several months since I graduated from Shady Grove Fertility, but I still want to take this opportunity to thank several people who made this stressful experience so much easier. First, my doctor was Dr. Swelstad, and I am extremely grateful for his consistently positive attitude and encouragement throughout the process, as well as the genuine concern he showed for both my husband and me. My nurse, Sophie, was wonderful. She always handled sensitive information appropriately and made me feel supported and cared for. Vanessa and Claudia were two people I saw often during treatment. They were always positive, warm, and thoughtful. Their kindness and warmth left a lasting impression, and I truly miss them. Finally, physician assistant Bailey has a true gift for this work. She is kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, but what impressed me most was her empathy. She always listened patiently and made me feel heard and valued. Every appointment with her was a pleasure. Thank you to everyone at SGF who was involved in our treatment. We are incredibly grateful for the support, care, and professionalism we experienced throughout the process.

From the first day of our journey, Dr. Xu, Adrian, and the entire team provided exceptional care. We never felt rushed and always felt like more than just another patient. As we overcame fertility challenges, having such a caring and attentive team was essential to maintaining hope for our future child. Under the team's attentive care, we retrieved a large number of eggs and completed PGT-A testing. Our first frozen embryo transfer was successful, and our ideal son was born in February, just over 10 months after my first egg-retrieval injection. We cannot wait to work with the team again in the near future!
16/06/2025
After more than two years of unexplained infertility, I am finally pregnant. Dr. Xu's team was wonderful, and every clinician who worked with me throughout treatment was kind, caring, and optimistic.
23/05/2025
My husband and I had an unforgettable experience under the care of Dr. Xu and the entire Woodbridge team. They were knowledgeable and compassionate and eased our concerns and anxiety while we tried to conceive. We are very grateful for their help and support. We cannot wait to welcome our baby boy in October! We highly recommend this team to anyone facing fertility challenges.
02/05/2025
Dr. Xu was our doctor for our first child, and I am happy to say she was also our doctor for our second. Dr. Xu, nurse Adrian, and the Woodbridge team are highly professional and caring and will support you through any difficulties. If you want to grow your family, come to SGF.
01/05/2025
Dr. Xu, Adrian, and the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that I was supported, informed, and cared for. I experienced heartbreak on the journey to having a healthy baby, and I am very grateful to the entire team.

The SGF Woodbridge office is wonderful! The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They make you feel comfortable at every step.

I cannot praise Dr. Hsu and her team at Shady Grove in Woodbridge enough. My husband and I had been unable to conceive on our own, so I did my research. Although another Shady Grove location is closer to my home, I specifically drove 40 minutes to see Dr. Hsu and her team. Everyone was kind, caring, compassionate, and genuinely supportive and wanted to help me become pregnant. Everyone knew my name and sincerely cared about our outcome. We completed two IUI cycles. The first failed, but the second succeeded! I am now 12 weeks pregnant and have no complaints. I do not know another place or team I would trust with such a sensitive issue. I am extremely grateful to everyone here. Do not give up; trust me, coming here is absolutely worthwhile. Sincere thanks to everyone! Katelyn Pair

Shady Grove Fertility is an excellent place to build a family. From the front desk staff and nurses to the doctors, everyone is attentive and patient. I had a wonderful experience with this clinic and its staff. I always felt comfortable and at home during visits. The staff speak gently and compassionately. Their love for their work is clear from how they treated me throughout the process. I tried to build my family with them for more than two years, and they never made me feel uncomfortable or discouraged. Dr. Hsu was very kind and encouraging. She always recommended alternative options to help me move through the process. Nurse Adrienne was warm and approachable. She handled scheduling and ensured I understood the next steps. They both went above and beyond to make my treatment at Shady Grove smooth. Graduating from their care was one of the happiest moments of my life! I recommend this place to everyone who wants to start building a family. Thank you to all the Shady Grove staff; you will always hold a special place in my heart.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Shady Grove. Dr. Xu was kind, knowledgeable, and encouraging. We had struggled with recurrent miscarriages and then were unable to conceive. I am now holding our newborn son, all thanks to Dr. Xu, Adrienne, and everyone at Shady Grove. Our first intrauterine insemination (IUI) was successful. They were very organized throughout the process and made sure we understood the plan at every step. Everyone we met was kind and gave us hope. Going through miscarriage and infertility is extremely difficult. I am very grateful to Dr. Xu and everyone who helped us along the way. I highly recommend them to anyone struggling to become or remain pregnant. Words cannot express our gratitude!

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service at Shady Grove. On October 2, my spouse and I consulted Dr. Xu. During the consultation, Dr. Xu advised that because we had an embryo in Puerto Rico, it would be best to have the transfer performed there while receiving pre- and post-procedure care from Shady Grove. Based on that recommendation, I scheduled the transfer with the clinic in Puerto Rico. However, when I later contacted Shady Grove to arrange the related care, I waited an entire week for a response and was then told that the clinic no longer provides pre- and post-procedure care for transfers performed elsewhere. This delay and poor communication caused significant distress and wasted time. If the policy has changed, all physicians must be informed promptly so patients can make informed decisions. A one-week response time for a prospective patient is also unacceptable. Because of this situation, I may have to cancel the planned transfer in Puerto Rico because my husband, a service member, will deploy at the end of December. Given the area's large military community, I am surprised that Shady Grove offers no support for circumstances like ours. I hope you take this feedback seriously and review your communication and service processes to prevent similar problems in the future.

My experience during treatment at SGF was absolutely wonderful! Every staff member was excellent. My care team never let me down and always followed up promptly during treatment. Dr. Xu was very kind, and thanks to her and her team, my husband and I conceived and welcomed our baby boy! A dream come true!

Shady Grove Fertility in Woodbridge sets a standard of care that no other clinic has matched. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel supported, well informed, and genuinely cared for. We have visited many clinics over the years, but none compared with the compassion and attention we received here. We truly miss the care we received at SGF. As the pregnancy progresses, we often wish they could care for us throughout it. The difference in care elsewhere makes us appreciate even more how special this clinic is. Special thanks to Dr. Xu, Adriane, Lorena, and Charise. Each of you played an essential role in guiding and encouraging us and making us feel seen and supported at every step. Your professionalism, kindness, and genuine empathy meant more than words can express. You provided not only medical care but also hope, comfort, and confidence when we needed them most. Thank you for everything. We will always be grateful for the care we received at Shady Grove Fertility Woodbridge.

My experience at Shady Grove Fertility was very different from what I expected when beginning fertility treatment. I anticipated a cold, impersonal setting, but was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Xu and her team are knowledgeable and professional, but what impressed me most was their care, empathy, and genuine warmth. This journey is emotionally difficult, and positive support and guidance from professionals were deeply reassuring. Courtney, the clinical team's PCC, accompanied me throughout prescreening. I appreciated her encouragement and prompt responses, which made the process less intimidating. I am still in treatment and hoping for a good outcome, but I am very grateful to have such an excellent team beside me.

Ms. Courtney has been very kind to me. Whenever I call, she is always happy to answer all my questions. Even when I ask the same question repeatedly, she remains patient and listens carefully to everything I say. The staff at SG are also friendly and respectful. I love it here. I will be starting fertility treatment soon and truly hope everything goes well.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to this team. Nurse Tutu was outstanding during all my ultrasounds. She was gentle, caring, knowledgeable, and reassuring and always took time to make me feel comfortable and cared for. My nurse and phlebotomist Lorena was wonderful. She was highly skilled and so gentle that I could barely feel the needle, which meant a great deal because I am very afraid of needles. She always brought a calm, positive energy that immediately put me at ease. Charise at the front desk was equally excellent. She was always welcoming, friendly, thoughtful, and patient in answering questions. From the moment you enter the clinic, she makes you feel fully cared for. I willingly drive farther to receive care from this team because they are truly exceptional. They gave me tremendous comfort and support throughout treatment at SGF, and I sincerely appreciate every one of them. Their compassion, kindness, and dedication made all the difference. Thank you, ladies! 💕

My experience at SGF Woodbridge has been absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I am so blessed to have worked with Dr. Hsu, Adriane, Tutu, Cherise, and the entire team, who made me feel so welcome while being efficient and caring with my needs. From the moment you walk into the clinic, Cherise greets you with the biggest smile. She remembers every patient’s name and is always so kind and positive, making every visit that much better. Adriane is equally amazing. She is always quick to respond, helpful, and always makes sure my questions and concerns are addressed. Nurse Tutu is also incredible. She always greets every patient with warmth and friendliness and offers comfort when you are feeling nervous. Her compassion and genuine care for her patients make her an outstanding physician. Dr. Hsu is one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. She makes you feel like you are just chatting with a friend. Her medical expertise and bedside manner are exceptional—she is patient, thorough, genuinely cares about her patients, listens carefully, and is always reassuring and supportive. I am thrilled to share that my first embryo transfer was successful, and I am now in my second trimester. I am so grateful to the entire SGF Woodbridge team for helping me achieve this dream. I truly could not have done it without them. I cannot wait to meet my miracle baby and share this joy with the team that helped make my dream come true. Thank you so much for your dedication, care, and excellent medical service. MB
