I love Dr. Ambler and her entire team, including the receptionists at both locations, clinical staff, nurses, insurance staff, and billing department. I have had a positive and effective experience, both clinically and personally. I trust Dr. Ambler and her team and am happy to have continued receiving care here for more than three years.

Untrained staff often asked what I was there for, and if I said a blood draw, they usually asked which specific blood tests I needed. I am not a medical professional, and because they were responsible for my care, this was not reassuring. This clinic had many problems, including billing errors, rude staff, and more than I can list. Most importantly, I was told at six weeks that I would miscarry. They gave me the news and, while I cried, provided only very basic information about what would happen next. They offered a D&C but did not explain what having or not having it would mean. I left with nothing—no printout or information about what to expect or what to do. One week later, I was admitted to the emergency department. Avoid this place at all costs.

I do not recommend this place. If you want to waste time and money, go to Conceptions Reproductive Associates of Colorado. My last appointment was June 8, 2024. They charged me for services that were not completed, and my refund still has not arrived. Not recommended. I spent two years struggling and never received answers. I wasted my money and time. The care disappeared. I am sad, frustrated, depressed, and angry about this entire ordeal. It almost feels as though they try to make people fail throughout all these practices. It was all a waste of money and time. Please do not visit any of their offices.

I am sure this place would have a lower rating if most people did not prefer to keep their fertility journey private, but I agree with those who previously gave it one star. Communication is nearly impossible. You call and they never answer. You leave a message and they do not call back. I left a message two weeks ago and never received a return call. You send a message through the portal and receive a reply, but the front-desk staff have a different policy from whatever answer you received. We were told we could bring in a sample but were given no other information. When we arrived with the sample, the front desk told us we needed an appointment. The entire process is already stressful without having to decipher their information. I am sure that if I requested my medical records for another clinic, they would tell me what they have told others and make me wait months for them to be sent. You cannot even see the complete record in the portal. I am sad, upset, frustrated, and angry about this entire ordeal. It almost feels as though they try to make people fail throughout all these practices. It was all a waste of money and time. Please do not visit any of their offices.

Please avoid this place. I had a terrible experience here and wasted my time and a great deal of money. I had two egg retrievals and one FET, all of which failed.

My husband and I recently met with Dr. Awadalla, and unfortunately it was one of the most unprofessional medical interactions we have experienced—especially upsetting given the vulnerability of fertility care. From the moment the virtual appointment began, Dr. Awadalla made us feel like an inconvenience. She was dismissive, unprepared, and shockingly cold. She appeared not to have reviewed our case beforehand and, worse, questioned why we were speaking with her, even though this scheduled consultation was the next step recommended by the nurse practitioner. When we tried to clarify our goals and express concerns, her tone became defensive. Instead of meaningful responses, she was condescending and lacked basic empathy. We never felt heard or respected. We were made to feel foolish for asking questions, and when we pointed out that her manner was inappropriate, she became hostile. Her communication was not merely unhelpful but confrontational. Her behavior went far beyond poor bedside manner; it was unprofessional, unethical, and wholly inappropriate for any physician. I understand that not every doctor-patient relationship is perfect, but Dr. Awadalla's behavior raised serious concerns. Patients deserve respect, and doctors should be informed, prepared, and ready to engage thoughtfully. Dr. Awadalla failed in every respect. I strongly advise women seeking fertility care to look elsewhere. You deserve better—and so did we.

After more than three years of trying to conceive and an unpleasant experience at CCRM, my husband and I found Denver Fertility Care. From our first meeting with Dr. Ambler, we felt her genuine commitment. To her and her team, we were more than patients; we received friendly, thoughtful, professional care, which is essential during the vulnerability of fertility treatment. About six months after beginning with them, we finally conceived our first child. We will always be grateful to the wonderful Denver Fertility Care team!
24/12/2025
Dr. Allen is wonderful! She truly listens and works with you to create an individualized treatment plan. I have never met such a considerate doctor. Thank you!

Dr. Ambler is the best.

This is by far the worst business I have encountered. They do not answer calls, voicemails, or emails, and doubled their prices without warning. I strongly recommend choosing any other clinic. This clinic is a waste of money, and its quality of care is extremely unreliable.
03/04/2026
They are very responsive, and Dr. Ambler is both highly skilled and kind. She makes you feel comfortable and is a wonderful person.
23/04/2026
I have greatly enjoyed my experience at Denver Fertility Center. The nurses are very patient with my questions, and Dr. Ambler always takes the time to explain everything without pressuring us into any treatment. The front desk is also very responsive. We previously visited another clinic where the process always left us confused and overwhelmed. So far, our experience at Denver Fertility Center has been much better.

I originally froze my eggs at this clinic before it became part of DFC. My nurse practitioner advised me to consider Shady Grove instead, but transferring frozen eggs is expensive and complicated, and DFC accepted my insurance, so I decided to stay. The positives: The front desk staff are compassionate and genuinely try to help you find answers quickly. My IVF nurse, Kris, has been exceptional throughout the process--knowledgeable, responsive, and supportive. Dr. Ambler is kind, direct, and clearly very knowledgeable. Scheduling appointments has been straightforward, and the clinical team does a good job of keeping treatment moving efficiently. The negatives: Despite having insurance coverage, I was charged a $2,000 administrative fee. The clinic also charges a $250 cancellation fee for virtually any change, even when circumstances are completely outside a patient's control. In my case, after a spontaneous pregnancy that unfortunately ended in loss, I was still expected to pay the cancellation fee. I was also quoted an incorrect cycle cost that was off by approximately $2,500. My biggest frustration has been with the billing department. I experienced repeated billing errors, inconsistent information, and difficulty getting clear answers. Fertility treatment is already emotionally and financially overwhelming, and interactions with billing often felt impersonal and lacking empathy. Overall, the clinical care has been solid, but the administrative and billing side of the practice leaves a great deal to be desired. Fertility treatment is already stressful enough without having to constantly question costs and invoices. While I appreciate the medical team, the clinic's financial practices made an already difficult journey even more challenging.
24/12/2024
I would not recommend this fertility clinic. If you are a new patient, based on my experience, do not expect billing notices to be sent promptly. Communication was poor overall and caused unnecessary frustration. The front desk was unhelpful and not timely. Again, I would not recommend them.

Denver Fertility Care provided incredible information and assistance from the beginning, always focusing on our questions and concerns as my wife and I went through IVF. We highly recommend them to couples considering IVF treatment!

If you have IVF insurance coverage, do not go here. The billing department is terrible, and Dr. Ambler repeatedly makes coding errors that cause claims to be denied. Four weeks ago, we received a $1,100 bill. Today, I received a message saying that if we did not pay $11,000 today, they would cancel our appointment in 4 hours and could not reschedule us for another month. The $11,000 was due to an insurance denial, undoubtedly caused by Dr. Ambler and billing making another error.

I have been with this clinic for almost 5 years. With the help of Dr. Ambler, Allen, and the entire team, I have two children, one of whom will be born soon. They gave me far more than I could have asked for. Scheduling is very easy, and they are highly responsive through the client portal. I am very grateful to them!

My experience with Denver Fertility Care has been amazing so far. The provider listened, and I felt heard and included in the treatment plan.

Dr. Ambler herself is 5-stars. Amazing bedside manner, collaborative, and open to more natural/alternative therapies. The only con I will give her personally is that she missed that my husband has anti-sperm antibodies; don't think that was checked at all. We were diagnosed with "unexplained infertility" and IUI was recommended. When we switched clinics and presented our latest work-up, they agreed with all findings but also let us know my husband had anti-sperm antibodies 99% affected= we had to do IVF. We are doing our first transfer in a few weeks. We originally left this clinic because I had issues with the availability of her staff (could rarely reach anyone), as well as scheduling (they were constantly trying to get me to go to the Denver location >45 min away for me). Then we missed an IUI cycle because I couldn't get ahold of the office at all which is why we switched clinics. I had previously written a review for this clinic when I was upset about missing that IUI cycle and then decided to delete it after emailing the clinic personally. However, I have several friends going here now that I had referred and they seem to be having the same issues= my private feedback ~1 year ago did not seem to affect any change= new review.

Grateful for Tina, Sophia and Dr. Ambler who helped make our dream of becoming parents a reality. I have PCOS and ended up getting pregnant successfully through IUI. From our very first visit, we felt supported, informed, and truly cared for. We never felt pushed into anything that we weren’t 100% comfortable with and the team really valued our voice in the process. We are now holding our beautiful baby boy in our arms. Highly recommend Denver Fertility Care!

What a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, my gynecologist encouraged my husband to be tested at this practice because we had been trying to have our first child and wanted to ensure that everything was fine with him. We were initially quoted $200 for a “consultation” with Allen, the PA. We later learned that this was only a brief phone call asking why my husband wanted testing. They then charged another $300 for the semen analysis. I understand that our insurance does not cover infertility, but I do not understand why this payment structure was not communicated more clearly or why we were charged $500 for testing and a 10-minute call with the PA simply asking why we wanted the test. About a week and a half later, my husband received the results showing his levels and a comments section. There was no contact or follow-up from the PA. This was unbelievable, especially because IVF was recommended in the comments. We are not doctors or healthcare professionals, so we were confused about how to interpret the test and became very anxious about the IVF recommendation. We had to make a special effort to schedule another call with the PA, and they charged us another $100 just to explain the results?! I wanted to take the time to leave this review to warn others about the fees, poor communication, and lack of support from the doctor/PA. During this difficult process, I have gradually lost faith in our healthcare system, and practices like this are 100% the reason. Please do better.

If you have insurance, do not go here! Our plan had a $20,000 lifetime maximum. Before our most recent transfer, I contacted the insurer to understand our coverage. We had one egg retrieval and two transfers and had used about half of it. They billed our insurance $14,000 for the December transfer and another $47,000 in February, exceeding our lifetime maximum. We contacted the insurer repeatedly to understand this huge increase but never received a response. Be aware! That said, we did become pregnant after the first transfer and are very grateful. When we tried for a second child, two transfers failed. Communication was inconsistent—sometimes good, sometimes taking several days. We initially faced many challenges, but after an honest conversation with the nurse, things improved, and she responded promptly after our cycle ended. Dr. Ambler is generally very nice and explained our treatment options well, but do not expect outcome data, either general or from her own practice. Her comments can sometimes seem cold, but she is simply direct. Response update: I contacted billing, and they referred me to the office manager. After a week with no response, I called the front desk, which also referred me to the office manager. Office manager Autumn Hiserodt later contacted me for more information and offered to schedule time with us, but after we replied, repeated follow-ups went unanswered.

After more than 5 years, we have 2 beautiful babies. Our journey was long and painful. No fertility journey is perfect. I understand that. But if you need guidance and do not do your own research, you may struggle through the process. I appreciated our visits, even when I had to research further, ask more questions, or request updates myself. You are not just a number here, but you are also one of hundreds or thousands of patients, and everyone is doing their best. In the end, we got what we needed in terms of communication and scheduling. I showed my calendar to patients at other IVF clinics, and they wished they had the same visual schedule. I appreciated having a clear printed copy. The portal app was my favorite way to communicate, so I did not have to call about everything. Doctor visits were scheduled as needed. I did not understand that at first, but now I do. You only have to ask. I also appreciated the nurses and coordinators. Whether things went badly or well, I felt cared for. I am glad to be on the other side. If you want a positive experience, Dr. Ambler's office was right for us.

Our experience and Denver Fertility was amazing. This is our second successful pregnancy with Dr. Ambler and we are beyond grateful for the entire team’s professionalism, compassion and understanding. Both times we’ve worked with Dr. Ambler really confirm that this was the best decision for us. We have a beautiful (almost) 2 year old little boy and are expecting a baby girl this fall. We are forever grateful for Dr. Ambler for making our dreams of having a family come true!

I regret not writing this review sooner. My experience at Denver Fertility Center was a nightmare. Denver Fertility Center seems focused on extracting as much money as possible from patients. In 2023, I became a patient of Dr. Albrecht and completed 3 IVF cycles, but only the last reached egg retrieval. At the end of cycles 1 and 2, Dr. Albrecht called to explain that my egg count was not ideal for retrieval and that he wanted to try a different dose or medication combination. Both times I agreed and waited for the nurse to provide the new plan. During my third cycle, I arrived for routine bloodwork and was told I could not be seen unless I paid $3,000. The receptionist did not know why and could not reach billing; she only knew there was a balance that had to be paid. This was the first notice from DFC that I owed anything. My only choices were to pay or cancel the appointment and potentially jeopardize the cycle. I paid and attended the appointment. Later that day, billing told me the $3,000 was a “cancellation fee.” I had not canceled any appointment. When I asked for details, Angie in billing—the only employee willing to hear my dispute—said she would review the charges with Dr. Ambler. After reviewing my account, Dr. Ambler—whom I never met during IVF—found more charges related to “cancellations.” Suddenly I owed another $3,500. Questioning one charge led to more charges. Angie said the fees were for canceling my first two IVF cycles. When I asked to speak with Dr. Ambler about the bill, Angie said the doctor would call. I am still waiting. I assume she is too busy charging other patients to return calls. I reviewed my prior communications with DFC and the signed contract. No one ever said, “We are canceling your cycle and charging you. If you want to continue IVF, you must pay more.” Under the contract shown in the attached image, I owed a cancellation fee if I canceled “for any social or financial reason.” Neither occurred. I did not cancel the cycles; the clinic did. The money is serious, but the complete lack of compassion is inexcusable. My third and final IVF cycle produced 5 eggs and 1 embryo. My husband and I chose genetic testing. We were told results would take one week and would be sent to Denver Fertility Center. Three weeks passed with no news. I contacted Igenomix and learned they had sent the results to Dr. Albrecht's office two weeks before my call. When I told DFC, they replied, “Sorry, we did not see their email. A nurse will call to discuss the results.” Five hours later, a nurse left a voicemail saying the embryo's genetic results were abnormal and recommended a follow-up with Dr. Albrecht. When I called to schedule, I was told I could not speak with the doctor unless I paid the $3,500 balance. I was naive to expect compassion from Denver Fertility Center. I received no support or understanding and heard almost nothing for nearly two years, until they sent a notice saying, “Pay us or we will send your account to collections.” I consulted an attorney about the letter. After reviewing my contract, he concluded there were issues with Denver Fertility Center and noted I was not the first DFC patient to contact him. Most front-desk staff were also incompetent and lacked common sense. When I arrived for retrieval, the receptionist said I owed a $50 copay. I explained that I was there for surgery, not a routine appointment, but she interrupted: “The computer says you have a $50 copay.” The lesson is that this clinic's top priority is making money.

We had an exceptionally positive experience at Denver Fertility Center. From our first consultation, Dr. Ambler was outstanding—thorough, compassionate, and always ensuring we had time to ask questions and fully understood everything. Every interaction with her felt thoughtful and reassuring. Testing before the embryo transfer was smooth and well organized, and the transfer itself was quick, seamless, and supported by a friendly, experienced team. From reception to the nurses, ultrasound technicians, and embryologists, everyone at Denver Fertility Center made us feel supported throughout. We are deeply grateful to share that we successfully transferred two embryos and recently welcomed two healthy baby girls. Choosing Denver Fertility Center was one of our best decisions, and we will always appreciate their care.

After two surgeries, failed IUI, miscarriages, and endless heartbreak, this clinic has been the light in THE darkest chapter of my life. Infertility has left me feeling broken, like I’m the reason we can’t have the family we’ve always dreamed of. It’s crushing when you know your partner would be the most incredible father and you want nothing more than to be the best mom—and meanwhile it feels like everyone around you gets pregnant so easily. Through all of that, Dr. Ambler, Ellen Disesa, and nurses Kris & Kayla have been nothing short of monumental. They’ve carried me with compassion, patience, and encouragement when I didn’t think I could keep going. Their warmth, honesty, and support make me feel seen and valued—not just as a patient, but as a woman walking through the hardest battle of her life. We’ve been to another clinic before, and the difference is night and day. There, we felt like just another number. Here, I feel held, supported, and truly cared for. This team has given me strength & hope in a journey that is so emotionally heart-wrenching. I still don’t know how our story will end, but I do know I couldn’t get through this without them—and for that, I’ll be forever grateful.

Our experience at Denver Fertility was frustrating and extremely disappointing. I must say Dr. Ambler, Dr. Albrecht, the embryology team, and the nursing staff were wonderful. Dr. Ambler, who now runs the clinic, is an excellent physician, but the business management is poor. The rest of the company's management is also terrible. Fees were not disclosed, and we were frequently caught off guard by demands for money. They called on procedure days demanding payment and threatened to cancel our appointments unless we paid immediately, without warning. They should have explained these requirements in advance. The clinic recommended an egg company but stopped buying from it because the quality was so poor. We purchased entirely on their recommendation and lost 5 of 7 eggs and one embryo. It was a disastrous waste of money and time. Communication between staff and billing was poor. Billing was an ongoing problem. We disputed many bills that had no codes or explanations. We frequently received calls demanding payment for charges already paid, discounted, or waived. The third-party billing service is off-site, and the volume of incorrect emails and calls caused so much distress that we still dread every message from them. Intended parents pay all costs, yet we cannot see what was paid because the funds appear under the surrogate's account. We have a right to know where our money went, but management seems untrustworthy and greedy. I strongly recommend choosing a transparent organization that will guide you through the entire process. They exploit extremely vulnerable people who simply want a child. Given the many surprises we encountered, I wish I had asked more about their billing and read the negative reviews across all platforms. Our surrogate is now pregnant, and we are grateful. However, knowing what we know now, we would not have chosen this clinic.

We had an amazing experience at Denver Fertility Clinic! Our nurse practitioner Ellen was warm and attentive and answered all our questions patiently and thoroughly. She made us feel comfortable and reassured throughout the process. With her guidance, we became pregnant before completing all the scheduled tests! The clinic supported us through 10 weeks of pregnancy, and we genuinely felt cared for at every step. They were exceptionally thorough—we even saw our baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks! Communication through the patient portal was also seamless; they always replied within an hour. We are very happy and grateful for their excellent care. Thank you to Ellen and the entire Denver Fertility Clinic team! Highly recommended for anyone trying to conceive. 💕

We had an amazing experience at Conceptions Reproductive Associates of Colorado. We completed a frozen embryo transfer yesterday, and I am so grateful for the care, kindness, and warmth the team showed us throughout. When I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve, the IVF clinic near our home would not even accept us. Conceptions was happy to work with us, and Dr. Ambler gave us hope that we could have a baby of our own one day. Regardless of the transfer outcome, I am deeply grateful for the team’s guidance, care, and compassion over the past eight months. We hope this transfer succeeds and that we can return in a few years for our second child!

If you value your time, mental health, or proper treatment, avoid this clinic. Their opaque billing policies delay treatment. Emails go unanswered for more than a week, and calls are rarely answered. Appointments are often canceled with less than 24 hours' notice. They require advance payment and say a call two hours beforehand is merely ‘a courtesy,’ yet charge a $75 cancellation fee if the on-call nurse fails to answer promptly! Rescheduling is nearly impossible for two or three weeks, completely disrupting your menstrual cycle. The doctor is like a ghost, which is the most frustrating part. Worse, a lab technician handed me an order and asked which blood tests I needed that day. I am not the fertility specialist. The clinic feels like a poorly managed factory where patients are an inconvenience. They add fees everywhere, which makes their business model seem questionable. If you are experiencing infertility, you are already stressed and vulnerable. This clinic will make things worse. Go anywhere else.

I had a wonderful experience at DFC and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a fertility clinic. My husband and I are thrilled to announce that our first IUI was successful! We are expecting twins in spring 2026 (!!). We worked with nurse practitioner Ellen and other nurses, especially Kailey, who were excellent, communicative, and supportive. Thank you to everyone at DFC! ☺️🙏🏻

Everything about this clinic is amazing! From the front desk staff, who know you by name, to the lab, scheduling, nurses, and Dr. Ambler, everything was perfect. I quickly secured a consultation, and Dr. Ambler created a personalized treatment plan. She is skilled and kind, and we trusted her decisions, which proved correct. My IVF nurse, Chris, was very responsive and answered questions within two or three hours. Everything, including costs, was clear. I recommend this clinic without hesitation and am very glad we chose DFC to help build our family.

A terrible experience. The nurse gave me the wrong injection schedule! If that sounds unbelievable, it gets worse. After I pointed out the error, the nurse sent me a new schedule—but it was not mine at all! Fortunately, I had done my own research beforehand. Run! If Albrecht wants to investigate, I can provide screenshots of my conversation with the nurse.

I had planned to wait until I succeeded before writing a review. Although I am not pregnant yet, I just completed my first IVF cycle at DFC and am very pleased with the embryo results. I came to DFC after a poor experience at another local fertility clinic. When I first met Dr. Ambler, my main concern was whether DFC would provide individualized attention and adjust my protocol based on my previous retrieval cycle. At the prior clinic, I felt like a number and was dissatisfied with the retrieval outcome. Dr. Ambler immediately changed my protocol, resulting in much better embryo quality than before. Knowing that Dr. Ambler and his team had tailored my treatment reassured me that this time would be different. The contrast between this recent cycle and my first cycle several years ago is remarkable. DFC staff are very friendly and responsive, usually answering portal messages within a few hours. Appointments are easy to schedule and visits are convenient. I look forward to continuing my fertility journey with DFC!
22/02/2026
I regret giving such a low rating, but this organization's customer service is terrible. They never answer the phone, so you must leave a message, and they do not respond. I canceled my appointment almost two weeks in advance because of a scheduling conflict and still have not received my $75 refund. I contacted them by phone, text, and through their website but received no response.

I am so grateful to everyone at DFC! From reception to the doctors and nurses, everyone was warm, kind, and caring. The monitoring nurses always answered my questions quickly. We wanted to try intrauterine insemination (IUI) first and were never pressured into in vitro fertilization (IVF). Our second IUI succeeded, and I am thrilled! I recommend this clinic to anyone trying to start or grow a family. I would give them even more stars if I could! Thank you!

After consulting several other fertility clinics, my husband and I chose Denver Fertility Center and are very pleased. The nurses respond promptly through the portal, and the clinic is working to make communication easier, including a text service that currently works well. I completely trust Dr. Ambler and her team, and I now have a healthy daughter. No clinic is perfect—I work in healthcare and understand that—but my path to pregnancy was very smooth. I will always be grateful to Denver Fertility Center and will return for any future fertility needs.

Ellen took wonderful care of us! We are very grateful to this clinic.

My husband and I had an excellent experience with Ellen and her team. Their service was impeccable, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. They were also highly efficient with scheduling, test results, treatment plans, and more. The team's efficiency and professionalism impressed us greatly. I highly recommend Denver Fertility Care!

First, Dr. Ambler is an excellent physician, and our embryo transfer was very successful. We will most likely choose Dr. Ambler again for a future transfer. My criticism concerns how information is presented on their website and in some in-person discussions. They are not candid about costs. The website tries to present $20,000 as a realistic option, but given what they consider medically necessary and the best approach for maximizing transfer success, that is not accurate. That is understandable, but they should say so directly. They describe it this way: ‘The second stage of an IVF cycle includes care coordination, uterine evaluation, unlimited ultrasound monitoring, blood tests, embryo thawing and preparation, and embryo transfer. The second stage costs approximately $6,100, with a discounted price of $5,937 for cash or check payments.’ But that is not how they charge, nor is it the total cost of the second stage. Based on their website and initial consultation, you may need about $35,000 to continue treatment at this clinic, not the $20,000 to $25,000 they lead you to expect.

We had a very frustrating experience with this clinic's administrative department. Even before our first visit on April 1, 2026, I encountered scheduling problems. A nurse or scheduler initially told me I had an in-person appointment on March 25. I explicitly asked them to confirm, and they did, as shown in the attached image. However, I received no confirmation email, so I decided to check again. When I followed up on February 20, they told me no appointment had ever been scheduled, that slot was already taken, and my ‘appointment’ had to be moved to April 1, causing an unnecessary delay. Before the April 1 visit, I submitted our insurance and personal information several times in response to repeated prompts that appeared almost automated. Despite this, I received a call on the day of the visit saying they had no insurance information on file and requiring full payment in advance. We were told that if insurance reimbursed the visit, the payment would be applied as a credit toward future appointments. We proceeded with the visit, and I must say the doctor was knowledgeable and attentive, and I felt we received useful information. Unfortunately, the problems continued afterward. My husband was supposed to receive a follow-up email. We requested it several times and were repeatedly told it had been sent, but we never received anything. Yes, he checked spam and every other folder. On April 13, 2026, he finally went to the clinic in person to resolve the issue. We were then told that as of Thursday, April 9—one week and one day after our initial visit—they no longer accepted our UnitedHealthcare insurance. They said they would still see us, but we would have to pay out of pocket. This was extremely frustrating and poorly communicated, considering that: - We submitted our insurance information multiple times - We had just been seen as new patients - There had already been a scheduling error - They almost certainly knew before our first visit that they would ‘no longer accept’ UHC insurance. It is difficult not to feel that this lack of transparency led us into a self-pay visit we never would have scheduled had we known the insurance situation in advance. It feels like a deliberate money grab. Although the clinical care itself was generally positive, the administrative confusion and lack of clear communication were extremely disappointing, especially in fertility care, where patients already face substantial emotional and financial stress. This left us discouraged and even more frustrated. Unfortunately, we do not recommend this clinic.

This clinic is wonderful, and words cannot express my gratitude. Their patient care is outstanding, and the nurses are amazing and helped me greatly. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such an excellent team beside me through this process.

I highly recommend Denver Fertility Care. They are truly amazing, and I owe my motherhood to them! After stopping birth control pills, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Last summer, I began working with Allen in hopes of managing my symptoms and becoming pregnant. Allen performed a range of tests and created a personalized supplement and lifestyle plan for me. A few months later, I began my first course of letrozole. Allen closely monitored my menstrual cycle and adjusted the dose as needed. I was fortunate to become pregnant during that course, and I am now holding my three-week-old son. The entire team made me feel valued and cared for. My PCOS symptoms were taken seriously instead of being dismissed as they had been before. When it is time for our second child, I will definitely return to Denver Fertility Care!

They neither answer the phone nor return calls. I have been trying to reach them for three weeks.

Not at all what we expected. I could write pages describing all the ways my wife and I were dissatisfied with this clinic, but I will keep it brief. To those who gave five-star reviews, did you pay some special fee to receive better service? The clinic you describe is almost nothing like the one I experienced. I am giving two stars because the front desk staff were always kind and respectful, the nurses were helpful, and my wife's procedures were almost entirely successful. Everything else was terrible. After our first visit, our questions and concerns were usually ignored by the doctors or met with impatience or condescension. The nurses' expressions of concern also felt insincere on multiple occasions. We were told that an embryo transfer would be scheduled within six months, but the clinic seemed unconcerned about that plan, and the entire process ultimately took almost a year. Our first embryo transfer was abruptly canceled for no clear reason, which completely undermined our confidence that the doctor truly cared about us and made me question whether the doctor had actually followed our instructions. The cancellation also increased our treatment costs by about $1750, because their contract states that the patient is financially responsible for any cancellation, even one made by the doctor. Do not expect the IVF team to respond quickly to urgent messages, including messages about excessive bleeding. Do not expect the doctors to show compassion when you face difficulties during your IVF cycle or eventual pregnancy. And be prepared for them to collect any payment quickly while taking their time with refunds, which may take two months or longer. Instead of helping us become pregnant, this clinic became a source of anxiety and stress and felt more like an adversary than an ally. If you want to become pregnant, the clinic's technical competence is beyond question, but do not expect them to make the process easy. We arrived in 2025/3 full of hope and excitement and left in 2026/3 worried and distressed. We paid out of pocket, transferred two embryos, and the transfer was successful. Based on other reviews, however, either paying out of pocket or transferring embryos appears to lead to a poor experience here.

I am extremely disappointed with the care I received here, or the lack of it. If you are looking for a compassionate doctor or clinic, please go elsewhere. During my first treatment cycle, I met with a nurse only once to discuss my treatment plan. Every treatment plan after that was sent through the patient portal. I believe fertility care is a very personal experience, yet I felt completely alone. By my second cycle, I realized that this clinic did not meet my expectations and decided to go elsewhere, but then I became pregnant. I thought it would be best to continue treatment until I “graduated.” The worst part, however, was that the doctor first told me not to be nervous about the ultrasound and then told me that my baby had no heartbeat. She showed no compassion and immediately began explaining my options, which I was too distraught to understand. I felt like just another patient on an assembly line, with no empathy at all. Afterward, they made me wait in the lobby until they were ready to draw my blood. My face was bright red in the crowded lobby, and everyone was staring at me. I repeatedly requested my medical records, but those requests were never fulfilled. To my knowledge, withholding medical records is illegal, which says enough by itself. I even logged into their portal to confirm that I had no outstanding balance, and I did not. When calling 95%, no one answers. I called again today, and there was still no answer or return call. I even called during peak ovulation and pressed the button to reach the on-call doctor, but no one answered. There are a few exceptional nurses here, but that is probably the only positive. Given all the emotional challenges of infertility, I will never choose Denver Fertility Center again.

Lack of empathy—I was very disappointed by the lack of communication from this office. I called twice during normal business hours and could not reach anyone, then left multiple voicemails that were never returned. For a fertility specialist's office, that kind of silence feels especially discouraging. People seeking fertility care are often already dealing with stress, uncertainty, and emotional strain, so basic responsiveness matters. I cannot comment on the quality of the medical care because I was never able to get that far, but the front-office communication left a very poor first impression. A fertility clinic should understand how vulnerable this process can be and make patients feel supported from the first point of contact.

My husband and I started at Denver Fertility Care in Nov 2024 after being referred by my OB/GYN. Over the past year and a half, we underwent 4 IUI cycles (2 additional cycles were canceled) and 2 rounds of IVF. We successfully conceived on our 2nd round of IVF and are so grateful to be on this side of the process! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Ambler. She was thorough, professional, well prepared, and experienced. Each time we met with her, she addressed all our questions, explained our options and their tradeoffs, and provided as much detail as we requested. Although the process was very difficult at times, I felt she gave us answers wherever possible. The embryology team was also very thorough and followed up promptly whenever they said they would. I was very impressed by the quality of care from Dr. Ambler and the lab. The office recommends using the patient portal as the primary form of communication. Most of the time, the nurses respond promptly to messages. Over the 18 months we were there, I noticed considerable turnover among the nurses, front-desk staff, and ultrasound technicians, which sometimes created challenges. I often felt that without being highly proactive and detail-oriented about scheduling, asking questions about medications and insurance, and requesting follow-up, it would have been easy to get lost in the shuffle. From talking with friends who attended other clinics, I think this may be common, and fertility care does require patients to take some ownership of the process to ensure they receive the care they need. The nurses were compassionate and generally wanted to help, but I think improvements in this area could reduce some of the stress for patients. Overall, I would recommend Denver Fertility Care because Dr. Ambler is a highly capable and trustworthy physician and, ultimately, we achieved the positive outcome of a healthy pregnancy.

I had an appointment, but when I arrived, they refused to see me because the appointment date did not match the order date. My appointment had clearly been scheduled, and they never notified me of any issue. I drove a long way only to be told they could not see me and that I should never have been scheduled in the first place.

This medical facility is terrible. The care is extremely poor, and no one can be reached. Calls go unanswered, and voicemail messages and emails receive no response. Billing errors are frequent, and prices are doubled without advance notice. I strongly recommend going to any other medical facility.
13/11/2025
Poor communication. They demanded payment at the last minute, causing an appointment I had booked a month in advance to be canceled. No understanding for patients. 11/12. Since my last post: I was charged a $75 no-show fee even though I was ready for the appointment.

The staff were extremely friendly! They made my husband and me feel safe and comfortable and helped us realize our dream of becoming parents. Dr. Ambler was very informative and a pleasure to work with.

The reviews of their office and elsewhere had already impressed me. They are truly much better than the place I almost chose.

As a current patient, I love the entire staff. You are always very professional. Thank you so much, Dr. Ambler, for making this journey so informative and enjoyable.

Dr. Dana encourages you to try to conceive naturally, so she may not be the best choice if you are seeking IVF. I also question how committed she is to investigating and diagnosing your case. Her administrative team, especially billing, is very weak. If you have good fertility insurance, Denver Fertility Care is not the place to go. They seem never to have handled good fertility coverage. It was extremely difficult to work with them on estimating covered costs. They kept pushing their self-pay fee schedule and would not work with our insurer to determine what was and was not covered. I tried contacting the billing team, which has only 2 people and is difficult to reach, but received no response. The doctor then began responding directly to my billing questions and was completely wrong about my coverage, which I verified with my insurer. She is the coldest, most uncooperative doctor, does not value the patients who come to her clinic, and is easily irritated. If she wants her practice to succeed long term, she needs to learn to respect patients. Denver Fertility Care has no positive culture and places no value on patients. Very disappointing.

Dr. Ambler is very honest and open about which process is best for you based on age, egg health, and other factors. The process is very expensive wherever you go. I highly recommend Dr. Ambler to anyone seeking a knowledgeable physician who will advise you based on your health and lifestyle.

Dr. Ambler is amazing. She is one of the best PCOS doctors I have seen. Her team communicates exceptionally well with patients! Her passion for her profession shows in everything she does. I highly recommend her!
