We cannot say enough good things about RMIA. Our experience so far has been incredible, from the receptionists and nurses to Dr. Jensen. From our initial call with Dr. Jensen, I could immediately tell she had fully reviewed our case. That has not always been my experience with new doctors, who sometimes seem to wait for you to explain everything in person. She explained my complex medical information very well, and we understood everything. We also love her care team. Michelle was always kind and patient during ultrasounds. Kari, which may be spelled Karrie or Carrie, is my favorite nurse ever. She was with me during all my IVF monitoring and on egg retrieval day. She was kind and patient and took excellent care of me when anesthesia made me feel very ill. We will update with more information once the process is complete, but so far we are impressed! We highly recommend RMIA. We mainly visit the Woodbury location, but the Edina staff are also wonderful. Thank you, Anna + David

This is our experience, and the rating mainly reflects Dr. Jensen and poor communication. This will be long, but I hope it helps people choosing between IVF clinics. I waited a year to write it to make sure not every IVF clinic was like RMIA. They are not. Summary: Pros: 1. The staff were generally kind, and the laboratory staff were the best. 2. Tina! An RN who was always there to save the day. 3. A 20% teacher discount. Cons: 1. Dr. Jensen, who should not be allowed to work with patients. The second-to-last paragraph explains why. 2. Communication. They have moved to teams, so perhaps it will improve. It could not be worse than before. 3. One-size-fits-all medical plans. After the waiting period, you receive a first “appointment,” but it is actually a $400 sales pitch about why to choose them and how IVF works. Weeks later, they review your records and hold a real appointment to discuss your plan. For us, this process took about two months. During these appointments, they promise everything you request. Just know that you will receive none of it. This is a one-size-fits-all clinic. The first in-person appointment with the nurses was excellent. All were kind, and the nurse who explained the medication schedule was wonderful. Everything went downhill from there. At every later appointment, each person gave us different information. Dr. Jensen said one thing, then a nurse said Jensen had changed her mind, and so on. Communication was terrible. The nurses were kind but knew nothing beyond the script, except Tina, who was wonderful. We could never reach Dr. Jensen about anything. We completed retrieval but were confused about why our numbers were so low and why medication could not be increased. We never received answers. We retrieved some eggs and ended with two embryos; at the next clinic we had 9. We wanted to transfer quickly, but they refused to schedule a review of the retrieval we had just completed, and a nurse scolded us twice. We told Dr. Jensen that certain medication forms caused problems, mainly migraines, based on prior use through a fertility doctor: pills versus gel suppositories and oral estrogen versus patches. We were told we could use only the brands and forms they specified, all Ferring products, without deviation. The transfer went smoothly, but the result was a chemical pregnancy. We then held a post-transfer meeting to discuss what could improve and what went wrong. I attended the first half, which went well. After I left, things became terrible. Dr. Jensen began personally attacking my wife. She said my wife's mental health was not adequate for IVF, that our marriage would fail, and that we should wait to become parents. She told my wife that I had abused nurses and was not welcome at the clinic. I had not; I had simply questioned the consistently conflicting information. The clinic might be acceptable with someone other than Dr. Jensen, but she is something else. CCRM was our first choice, but the 20% teacher discount was hard to pass up. We deeply regretted the decision and ultimately returned to CCRM.

What a wonderful place! After we could not find the answers we wanted at our local clinic, we decided to seek out a specialized fertility clinic. We were extremely pleased with the staff and our experience at RMIA! Everyone was incredibly friendly, caring, understanding, and compassionate throughout our journey! We ultimately underwent IVF with one retrieval. We obtained three normal embryos from the cycle and are currently preparing for our first transfer! Thank you so much. We will definitely return when we plan to grow our family!

We are so grateful to RMIA and for the role they played in helping us build our family. It was a great experience, and I would recommend them to anyone considering IVF.

Does anyone know whether your organization has someone who speaks Spanish? My wife and I tried to register on the website, but it was very complicated for us. Is there anyone who could help us? Thank you very much! We long to become parents. ❤️🙏🏽

Dr. Kim and her team were very kind, understanding, and considerate of our situation. They did not give up on us but tried a different approach, ultimately helping us achieve a successful, healthy pregnancy.
11/04/2026
To be clear, I ultimately became pregnant and delivered a healthy baby, so this review is not about whether treatment succeeded. This was the worst experience of my life. Coming here not only traumatized me but also left me deeply distrustful of doctors. Instead of investigating the underlying cause of infertility, they aggressively push IVF and only offer additional testing after a transfer fails. My treatment was also delayed because they gave me incorrect information. If you contact their patient advocate, he will relay your concerns to the doctor overseeing your care, then tell you he is not a doctor and cannot offer further insight when you ask for an explanation. If you unfortunately come to this clinic, do your research beforehand so you can advocate for yourself. It could ultimately save you tens of thousands of dollars.

We had an excellent overall experience with Dr. Leonard and her staff! They are an extremely compassionate group, from Bri at the front to the entire team in the back. We also interacted with other providers who helped us through the process of becoming parents. They were all kind and understood what we were going through and had already experienced. Thank you!

Dr. Leonard at RMIA helped my husband and me build a family. Despite the challenges, our miracle baby was born in December and is pure joy! Dr. Leonard and everyone at RMIA were kind, thorough, and informative at every step of helping us have our little boy. We were kept informed throughout. We appreciate Dr. Leonard's honesty and advice about the best way to realize our dream. I recommend RMIA 100%. The entire team is first-rate and the answer to our prayers.

I had a great experience with RMIA. All the nurses and phlebotomists were friendly and kind. Special thanks to Monique in Edina, who put me at ease during early-morning blood draws. Dr. Kim was helpful and kind and never dismissed my concerns or anxiety. She provided information without overpromising or telling my husband and me what to do, allowing us to make our own choices based on the information. I especially remember feeling very anxious when endometriosis was discovered during my egg retrieval. I wanted to speak with the doctor to understand what it meant and make a plan. She moved my appointment forward by two weeks and used her lunch break on her first day back from PTO to call me. That had a tremendous impact, and I will not forget it. My husband and I welcomed our IVF baby one week ago. We are very grateful to Dr. Kim and RMIA for making this addition to our family possible. 💕

My husband and I chose Dr. Leonard because of her expertise in infertility caused by PCOS. We had tried for 7 years before entering the IVF world. We began IVF in January 2024 and welcomed our son on March 7, 2025. Words cannot express our gratitude to the RMIA team—not only Dr. Leonard, but everyone from the financial office to the embryologists, nurses, laboratory staff, and receptionists. Everyone was helpful and eager to answer our questions. We used their guarantee program, which I felt was 100% worthwhile because it gave us peace of mind that we could try again if the first transfer failed. Thankfully we did not need it, but knowing it was available as a backup reassured us. We will return when we are ready for baby number two. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts!
29/05/2025
We have mixed feelings about RMIA. The nurses and staff were very helpful, and working with them always felt good. Unfortunately, we did not feel the same way about our doctor. She showed no empathy for what we were experiencing and quickly recommended treatment options we were not comfortable with. I hope our situation was an isolated case and that the clinic is not defined by this doctor's approach or any other treatment approach.
29/05/2025
I had a wonderful experience with the staff at the Woodbury center. From scheduling and the front desk staff to the phlebotomists and nurses, everything went very smoothly. I never felt nervous or unfamiliar with my treatment. I completely trusted the care team, and they fully met my expectations. For a sensitive area of health care like reproductive medicine, this is exactly where you want to be. Thank you to every RMIA employee; my family and I are grateful to you!
22/05/2025
We had a wonderful experience with RMIA and Dr. Kim throughout the IVF process. We were fortunate to achieve a live birth after our first IVF cycle with RMIA. Throughout the daunting and emotional IVF process, every RMIA staff member was consistently kind, helpful, and accommodating. Dr. Kim was very kind and made us feel as though we were her only patients. We would choose RMIA again and again. When we are ready to have more children, we plan to return for another embryo transfer using our remaining successfully fertilized embryos. We highly recommend RMIA.
14/05/2025
I will continue to praise and remain forever grateful to all the RMIA staff, embryologists, and Dr. Leonard, who helped me have two successful frozen embryo transfers and two healthy babies: a daughter born in January 2023 and a son born in April 2025! Before that, we had struggled with infertility for years and had several unsuccessful fresh and frozen embryo transfers at another clinic. We were told that the best next step would be to use a surrogate. My husband and I are so glad we sought a second opinion at RMIA, where I was able to carry our own children. I highly recommend RMIA. They have high success rates, listen and tailor care to your specific situation, and provide efficient, compassionate, highly personalized care.

Dr.Jensen was so amazing with us! Any question we had her staff and herself always answered! She was very good and very supportive when it came to us doing ivf after a tough loss with our son. She made sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend her to anyone who is doing ivf. I had a successful pregnancy. Baby boy was Born in April and we couldn’t be anymore blessed with him!

If there is one clinic and doctor to avoid, I would choose RMIA and Dr. Jensen. When we enrolled, they seemed very helpful, caring, and empathetic. But once we signed up, they treated us like just another patient. We noticed many red flags when they started the ovarian stimulation medication, but we kept overlooking them and trusting the clinic. We later realized their goal was only to make money, not to help us achieve ours. 1. Our first IVF cycle was in September 2020. Dr. Jensen overstimulated my ovaries and retrieved 30 follicles, 27 of which contained mature eggs. This clearly indicated ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), and my wife gained a great deal of weight as a result. Dr. Jensen never told us I had ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS); she concealed her mistake. 2. After PGTA testing, we had 10 good euploid embryos. We then had 4 embryo transfers and 1 ERA biopsy, all with negative results. We felt that Dr. Jensen herself was doing something wrong with the embryo transfers. 3. We then did a second IVF cycle. I believe Dr. Jensen retrieved 10 follicles, 8 of which contained mature eggs. We obtained 5 embryos, but after PGTA testing only one was suitable. Again, I felt something was wrong. My wife and I had no explainable fertility issues. 4. Every time we met with Dr. Jensen, the answer was unexplained infertility, with no treatment plan. 5. Dr. Jensen is a rip-off; be careful. For every minor issue that could be handled by email, she insisted on a video call so she could make money from it. 6. We then chose surrogacy, but once again she failed us. Our surrogate had a private call with Dr. Jensen, and we were told the surrogate was withdrawing. Whenever we asked questions, the answer was, “I cannot disclose that because of HIPAA.” 7. Even during the surrogate's medical screening, Dr. Jensen went to great lengths to obtain approval, only for it to fail in the end. 8. Dr. Jensen sometimes rescheduled our appointments because she had to travel. 9. Dr. Jensen was always rushed and did not give us enough time to ask questions. She always said, “I need to end the call because I have another appointment.” 10. Essentially, we lost a large amount of money because we trusted the clinic and doctor. The only positive I can think of is that the front desk team, nurses, and other support staff were very good. Apart from that, the entire process was terrible, and they deserve to be sued because I have ample evidence to support it.

Everyone at the clinic was exceptionally attentive and provided excellent care throughout our IVF process. It was a journey that tested our patience, but they gave us outstanding support every step of the way. I highly recommend this clinic as a place to build your family!

The patient-facing staff were so kind during such a challenging stage of life. I had my egg retrieval at RM&IA with Dr. Kim. The process was organized, and I was successfully guided through every step. On the day of the procedure, all the staff showed exceptional kindness and professionalism.

RMIA gave me my sweet baby. I have no complaints! It was very convenient to have lab work done at the Maple Grove clinic, and the staff there were very kind! Dr. Jensen was also very communicative and answered all our questions throughout the process. I do feel this clinic charges more for IVF than others, but I was willing to pay for excellent care and convenience.
23/08/2025
Everyone was very friendly, kind, and understanding, especially in such a difficult and emotional situation. Dr. Kim is very intelligent, professional, and helpful. When I was worried about bleeding, she even used her lunch break to give me an ultrasound. I highly recommend RMIA!

After trying for some time without success, we eventually chose RMIA. We worked with Dr. Kim and had a wonderful experience. After our second FET, we became pregnant and now have a beautiful daughter. The nurses were friendly and kind, always patiently answering our questions and helping us through this difficult period in our lives.

My experience at RM&IA was amazing! I worked mainly with Dr. Tana Kim, who is extremely knowledgeable and very straightforward with her recommendations and care plan. From the initial consultation through IVF, I felt very confident. The nursing staff are first-rate: caring, responsive, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Most of my monitoring appointments were at the Maple Grove clinic, and I loved everyone there! As I write this review, I am holding my four-week-old miracle baby, thanks to RM&IA.
10/09/2025
Thank you to Dr. Jensen and the entire RMIA team for helping us build our family. We struggled with infertility for more than a decade, and calling it a long and difficult journey would be an understatement. But I truly believe Dr. Jensen's guidance kept our faith alive and fueled our passion to become parents. We now have two wonderful babies, and our lives finally feel complete.

My experience was absolutely terrible and heartbreaking. I would never recommend this place to patients in Minnesota.
11/11/2025
We had a wonderful experience with RMIA and Dr. Leonard. Both the egg retrieval and transfer produced excellent results, and our first attempt was successful. We now have a beautiful daughter! Communication with the staff and the entire process went very smoothly!

It was a pleasure working with Dr. Kim. She devoted significant time and effort to ensuring we had the best possible experience. She helped us through a difficult period and ultimately achieve the positive outcome we hoped for. The entire care team was excellent. Thank you to the Maple Grove clinic for your continued support, and to Dr. Kim—we will always remember her dedication, care, and hard work.

Our experience at RMIA was absolutely wonderful! 💕 Dr. Jensen is truly exceptional, and we cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us. Throughout the process, she showed us exceptional care, sincerity, kindness, and understanding. From the moment we entered the clinic, everyone—from the receptionists to the nurses—made us feel welcome, supported, and cared for. Every nurse we met was kind, gentle, and thoughtful. What touched us most was that Dr. Jensen was always available to help, even when she was off or extremely busy. Her kindness, positivity, and dedication made the entire experience special and unforgettable. We will always be grateful to Dr. Jensen, her excellent team, and everyone at RMIA for supporting us through this journey. Last month, we celebrated our son's first birthday 🎉, something we had always dreamed of. Our hearts are full of joy, and we will never forget the love and care we received along the way. We highly recommend RMIA! 💖

As a single mother by choice, this journey has been one of the most emotional and meaningful decisions of my life, and the RMIA team helped me tremendously. From the beginning, Dr. Baumgarten made me feel seen, supported, and truly understood. I never felt judged or alone. Instead, I was surrounded by people who cared for me, encouraged me, and genuinely believed in me. The entire team stayed with me through every high and low, giving me hope when I needed it most. I will always be grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and support in making one of my greatest dreams a reality.

We are incredibly grateful to Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates (RMIA) and Dr. Kim for helping us conceive our son, JJ. I had many questions throughout the process, and they answered each one patiently, clearly, and without judgment. No matter how detailed or repetitive our questions were, the entire team reassured us and supported us at every step. Dr. Kim was outstanding—knowledgeable, thoughtful, calm, and composed. She explained everything clearly, welcomed questions, and combined evidence-based treatment with genuine compassion. The clinic itself was organized, responsive, and welcoming, making the entire process feel manageable and safe even when it was emotionally challenging. We always felt like partners in our care, not just patients. We wholeheartedly recommend RMIA and Dr. Kim to anyone facing infertility.

We had a truly wonderful experience with RMIA and Dr. Jensen. From the very beginning, we felt incredibly well cared for and supported throughout our entire journey. Thanks to their expertise and guidance, we were blessed with our beautiful baby twins, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Dr. Jensen provided not only exceptional medical care but also genuine compassion and encouragement during such an emotional and important time in our lives. We always received thorough information and clear explanations, which helped us feel confident and empowered to make informed decisions every step of the way. I especially appreciated the availability of early morning appointments, which made it much easier to balance treatment with my work schedule. Every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional, creating a warm and supportive environment at each visit. We wholeheartedly recommend RMIA to anyone considering IVF. Our experience was truly positive, and we are so thankful for the care we received.

Dr. Jensen and the RMIA team are amazing! After nearly a decade of infertility, we finally welcomed our baby boy. We are very grateful for their honest opinions, easy-to-understand treatment plans, and availability whenever we needed help. Dr. Jensen is wonderful; she patiently answered our questions and listened to our concerns. Her approach is patient-centered and collaborative. We had unpleasant experiences elsewhere, but Dr. Jensen made us feel heard and understood. The team is responsive, professional, and respectful. We look forward to baby number two! 💪🏽😁

An excellent and highly professional partner.

RMIA is wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and its medical staff. During my care, I saw Dr. Kim, Dr. Jensen, and Dr. Leonard, and I would recommend all three without hesitation. Dr. Kim handled most of my treatment. They all showed genuine care and compassion and explained potentially confusing, uncertain, and emotional topics in great detail. I truly felt that Dr. Kim knew me as a person and used that understanding to help me make decisions rather than treating me as just a number or patient. All the nurses, front desk staff, phlebotomists, anesthesiologists, and embryologists were also excellent, and I felt very well cared for at every visit. The clinic always returned my calls quickly, usually within 1-2 hours. The monitoring appointments were scheduled very conveniently in the early morning, allowing me to adjust my work schedule and minimize the amount of leave I needed. They also never ran late in the mornings, so I could arrive at work on time, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this clinic to all my friends and family. Thank you, RMIA!

We had previously visited three other clinics, and this one was our favorite! Dr. Leonard and his entire team provided patient-centered, compassionate, and highly skilled care throughout the process. We could attend virtual consultations and complete follow-up monitoring outside the clinic, visiting the Woodbury location only when necessary. The scheduling flexibility allowed us to manage our other responsibilities, making us feel both in control of the process and fully reassured. We had great success and have just welcomed our second healthy IVF baby!

It took me a long time to write this post, so this describes my experience more than a year ago. This clinic added even more stress during an already extremely stressful period of my life. I felt unheard and unfairly treated. If your diagnosis is straightforward, this clinic may work for you. But if your condition is complex like mine, or if you want healthcare professionals who genuinely care and try to make you feel better instead of adding to your distress, this is definitely not the place for you. 1. Some nurses were wonderful, but others were extremely rude, especially at the Maple Grove clinic. I asked many questions and felt as though I was bothering the nurses. The medication side effects also affected me severely. I experienced major mood swings and even cried during appointments. Instead of caring for me, the nurses tried to get me out as quickly as possible, even while several of them sat talking in a common area. At times, their lack of empathy left me crying outside the clinic. I became extremely anxious before every appointment because I knew that if I encountered certain nurses, the quality of my care would suffer. I even felt that they treated me differently because they found me annoying. I wanted to know the size and number of my follicles, whether my treatment plan would change, and whether my side effects were normal. Instead of offering any help, they became impatient with these questions. 2. This clinic uses batch cycling. Many infertility clinics now do this, but it is not the best approach for patients with certain diagnoses, such as low AMH. They use batch cycling so all patients take birth control pills and the doctors can begin their IVF treatment at the same time. This approach may help follicles develop uniformly in some patients, but in someone with low AMH like me, it can overly suppress the follicles, leaving them unresponsive to fertility medication or prolonging treatment. I previously responded much better to lower medication doses during intrauterine insemination, so I believe this happened to me. Perhaps the outcome would not have been different, but knowing there was no alternative—and that this approach could cause excessive suppression—made me certain I did not want to try this clinic again. A one-size-fits-all approach does not work in infertility care. 3. The financial department was terrible. They told me directly that patients without insurance were easier for them than patients with insurance. I had to call and email repeatedly just to understand the cost of each treatment. My insurance company told me that RMIA or the healthcare provider would normally contact them proactively, but RMIA did not do so. Everything fell on me when I was already under tremendous stress. 4. It is almost impossible to communicate with a doctor. I liked my doctor, which was one of the few things I liked about this clinic, but I barely spoke with her. I know many infertility clinics work this way, but it is unfortunate because these treatments are expensive, and sometimes you need to ask questions or understand your doctor's reasoning. That was very difficult. You deal only with nurses. I even asked questions that they said they would discuss with my doctor before calling me back, but they never called.
