We are extremely grateful that we found Marin Fertility Center. It is no exaggeration to say that everyone in the office—from the administrative team to the nurses, doctors, and staff—truly cares. They take the time to explore every option and focus not only on growing your family but also on your own health. Whenever I had a question or concern, which is common during this process, I received compassion and support. I always felt like an extension of their “family” and knew they supported me. I humbly encourage anyone on a fertility journey to explore MFC.

MFC was the best decision we made! My diminished ovarian reserve and endometriosis were very challenging, so we knew the journey would be difficult. Initially, based on many recommendations, we also considered Spring Fertility Center in San Francisco, but after our first visit with Dr. Joy Brotherton, we believed MFC was the right place for us. Dr. Brotherton treated us as individuals, not just another case or number in the statistics. She took the time to explain everything about IUI and IVF, enabling us to make informed decisions. Because I had little time left, we decided on IVF. The entire team was extremely supportive throughout. Linda at the front desk, Maria the administrative coordinator who handled all insurance matters, and the nurses—Isabel, Ginger, Leah, Jennifer, and others—were all very kind and caring. My veins are difficult, and Isabel was always patient and handled it with a great sense of humor. I interacted with Dr. Uzelac only a few times, but he was kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Brotherton was outstanding. She always replied to my emails within 24 hours and was always willing to hear my suggestions about treatment. It felt like a two-way conversation, which is rare when dealing with doctors. The clinic answered my calls promptly 95% of the time and provided immediate, helpful responses. During a long and stressful process such as IVF, this level of communication is invaluable. After two egg retrievals, I am now carrying a miracle—my first child. My only suggestion for improvement concerns Prya, the first insurance coordinator I dealt with. Unfortunately, she was rude and made me feel like a burden. However, after I reported this to the clinic, they reassigned my case to Maria, who was wonderful and handled everything perfectly. Overall, I am very glad we chose MFC. The entire staff made this journey special and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We are so grateful to Marin Fertility and for the care the staff showed throughout the process! We completed two egg retrievals and one frozen embryo transfer at Marin Fertility, and I would recommend them without hesitation. The doctors and nurses were very attentive and kind. From bringing medication after hours when I realized a vial was missing to thoughtful nurses massaging my feet while the anesthesiologist tried to find a suitable vein, the Marin Fertility team showed genuine care and went above and beyond when needed. I am now pregnant for the first time and will always be grateful to this clinic and team!

My husband and I had tried to conceive for seven years and had a very poor experience at a large California hospital chain before coming to this clinic this year. From day one, every staff member here was kind and cared about our success and mental well-being. The doctors were knowledgeable, took time to understand our situation, and personalized every step of the IVF process. We also found that they fully guided us through every decision and developed an approach to maximize our chance of success. Whenever someone suggested an issue I should ask about, I discovered that the clinic had already considered it and selected the best approach. At every step, I felt that I mattered and that everyone at the clinic was working to help me succeed as quickly and easily as possible. Infertility is emotionally exhausting, and they understand and care about that. Throughout the process, the staff and doctors gave me hope and restored my confidence in my own judgment, which is almost as precious to me as the pregnancy we are now expecting. I highly recommend them!

Very obstinate front desk. Refuses to release results directly to the patient, and refuses to interface with the requesting doctor to get the results shared. Stated on the phone that they faxed the results, no longer our problem... of course receiving doctor has not received a fax. If you want to work with someone who takes patient support seriously, take your healthcare elsewhere.

This review is only for Maria, who works there. Please provide better customer service on the phone. Your personal opinion of others is irrelevant. You should not sound so arrogant on the phone. You have no idea what other patients are going through...

This clinic provided the best service I have ever experienced.

We attended a very expensive IVF consultation. We assumed the high fee was for an OB-GYN with fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, a three-year specialty. We discovered that Dr. Brotherton had not completed reproductive endocrinology fellowship training, which made it difficult to understand why she worked at an IVF clinic. We had effectively paid a premium to see a general OB-GYN.

Marin Fertility Center is different. We had four egg retrievals there and are very grateful for the attentive and compassionate care they provided. We had previously gone to a larger clinic where we felt like just a number, so we appreciated the personalized care at Marin Fertility Center. Dr. Uzelac has created a truly unique fertility clinic. They get to know every patient; to them, you are a real person, not a number. Everyone, from the office staff to the nurses, treats you with care and empathy. The fertility journey is difficult, and their support helped us tremendously on the hardest days. They also celebrate every small step forward with you.

We completed two rounds of IVF at this clinic, but unfortunately, our experience was not positive. Throughout the process, we felt that the clinic provided almost no personalized care or attention and did not consider our specific medical needs. Communication was often inadequate, and our concerns did not seem to be taken seriously. The clinic never explained different treatment options or alternatives to us. It felt like a one-size-fits-all approach rather than a treatment plan tailored to our circumstances. We also had issues with the front desk staff. After several interactions, we found them dismissive and unprofessional. On one occasion, when we asked about coverage under our Progeny insurance, we felt that a staff member mocked our questions instead of helping us understand the costs. Another major issue was the delay in receiving genetic test results. My results took nearly three months, adding stress and delays to an already difficult fertility journey. In addition, despite having Progeny insurance, we were repeatedly asked to pay out of pocket, leaving us confused and frustrated about treatment costs. Overall, we left feeling unsupported, unheard, and without the personalized care we expected during such an important and emotional treatment process. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this clinic to others seeking fertility treatment.

I began my fertility journey several years ago. After recently moving to this area, I chose this clinic again, and the difference from my previous experience was remarkable. Working with Ms. Linda was a pleasure. She coordinated my new-patient registration and appointments and was responsive, helpful, kind, and excellent at her job. At the Santa Rosa clinic, I have been treated by women’s health nurse practitioner Kirsten Eckert. For the first time, I felt truly heard. She took a comprehensive approach and worked to identify the cause. My previous providers dismissed normal test results with “oh well,” but this team has found new issues we can address and continue treating. I also felt respected and treated professionally, and I was comfortable during visits and examinations. If you are facing the difficult journey of infertility, I strongly recommend contacting this organization.

Dr. Uzelac is an outstanding doctor. Thank you for taking the time to help me, Dr. Uzelac. Here is a brief background on my situation. My only daughter is experiencing fertility challenges, and she asked me to help her find the best fertility doctor in the San Francisco/Bay Area. I am a very involved parent when it comes to my child, so I wanted to understand the newest options for treating infertility. I conducted extensive research and narrowed it down to two leading fertility doctors in Northern California. Both doctors had impressive credentials, but Dr. Uzelac stood out. He listened to my concerns, answered all my questions, and took time to ensure I understood every medical term and procedure. He showed compassion for my daughter's unique circumstances and great respect for me as her mother. At the end of our conversation, he joked, “You took an IVF crash course today,” and he was right. I ended the call feeling much better about my daughter's options and understanding the journey ahead. I am grateful I found Dr. Uzelac. As a mother, it reassures me to know my daughter will receive the best medical care and improve her chances of giving me a grandchild!

An absolutely incredible experience from beginning to end! Dr. Uzelac and his team were caring, patient, helpful, and understanding. Every infertility journey brings challenges, stress, and fear, but when we met Dr. Uzelac and his team, I left all of mine at the door. During a difficult, uncertain time, having a personable team that genuinely cared about us meant so much. Every appointment felt like visiting family. If we had to work with this team again, I would travel from the other side of the country. I felt comfortable with Dr. Uzelac and his team immediately after our first meeting. Their passion for their work is obvious, and they were kind and reassuring throughout the process. I ask many questions, and every team member promptly answered even my most unusual questions, including after hours. I felt cared for and grateful and never felt that I needed to worry. I love this team and am deeply grateful to each of them for helping us have our beautiful, perfect baby girl. Thank you again, Dr. Uzelac and team. We are so grateful!

Dr. Uzelac and his team are amazing! After years of struggle and visits to many fertility clinics, my husband and I chose MFC. They took time to diagnose me, guided me through every possible option at each step, and provided tremendous support whenever we had even a small concern. Dr. Uzelac and his team are wonderful! They helped us achieve our goal of pregnancy. They are very intelligent and took time to understand our unique story and medical history. Our first IVF attempt at another clinic failed because its technology was less advanced and, in my opinion, the team was simply less skilled. Dr. Uzelac uses chip technology to separate sperm, a gentler and more effective method than centrifugation. I could give many more examples of why this clinic excels. Highly recommended!
