There are some wonderful people here, but also some poor ones, terrible policies for outside-monitoring patients, and many hoops to jump through. You pay $700 out of pocket for their profit while they still bill your insurance. I am upset that I tolerated this for so long, but grateful to have found a clinic that does not require us to ‘use their specific forms,’ ‘pay a shocking outside-monitoring fee,’ ‘obtain a global referral,’ or ‘meet and greet the NP’ before scheduling. If you show even slight frustration, they hang up on you! Of all medical clinics, a fertility clinic should be compassionate and empathetic. MIWFWH is not. I am relieved to have found a new monitoring site that appears to genuinely care and want to help its patients.

I have had several good experiences here. Fertility issues are always confusing for a patient and require many questions. The staff are informative and always answer and return my calls. They do this every day and I do not, so they take time to explain it. Dr. B is my primary doctor; she is an excellent surgeon, kind and patient. Dr. K is also wonderful. Babu and Becky are the best!
06/12/2024
First, the office/nursing staff are very kind, and I was always pleased with them. My negative review concerns my experience with the doctor. My first visit was in fall 2023. I was told my labs were normal except for slightly elevated fasting glucose. The doctor said my fertility problems were due to my weight and advised reducing sugar and exercising. I was upset but made changes and worked hard for months. By April 2024, I had made many changes, essentially eliminating sugar and processed foods. After 1 failed IUI and 1 unsuccessful timed-intercourse cycle, I was frustrated and felt my efforts had produced nothing. I spoke with the doctor again—the first time I had heard from her since October, only because I requested an appointment—and asked about metformin. She dismissed me again. I felt something was wrong and sought a second opinion. After repeating all tests at a new fertility clinic, with essentially the same results as a year earlier, I was immediately prescribed thyroid medication and metformin. After taking them for 2 months, I became pregnant and am now 13 weeks! I fully support lifestyle changes and believe they have a place, but I do not understand why my care was managed so differently or why I succeeded so quickly at the new clinic. Never be afraid to find what works for you and advocate for yourself! I feel I spent thousands of dollars only to be told to lose weight when that was not the underlying issue.

So far, we are extremely pleased with our experience at this facility. Compared with the doctor's office we previously tried, it is night and day. We are still trying to have a baby, but the nurses, doctors, office staff, information sharing, communication—everything—are 10000% better! Nurse Becky is wonderful. Dr. K and office manager RaeAnne went above and beyond for us. We will always be grateful! Highly recommended.

I came here for many years, spent thousands, and did not become pregnant. There is only one good nurse there. Her name is Becky, and she is wonderful. She was always supportive and caring, and I could tell she stood by me even when the doctor gave up on me. Do not get me started on billing and the absurd nursing fees. They add ridiculous charges on top of everything else you may pay or insurance may not cover. Once a nurse called with results. I had questions and called back but never received a response. The billing department is also very rude. I made payments every month, sometimes several times a month, to repay all charges, but they were still dissatisfied. Apparently they work in billing because they lack empathy. All this place did was give me false hope and thousands of dollars in debt. I do not recommend it.

DR K and her staff are wonderful! Pin handled everything down to the wire. A perfect experience 👍

I was diagnosed with infertility two and a half years ago. As a woman, this is difficult to process because it makes you feel as though something is wrong with you. I sat in the parking lot for 10 minutes, nervous about going inside and worried I would be judged for having difficulty becoming pregnant. I feared being treated as a number rather than a person. From the moment I entered the clinic, I was warmly welcomed and treated like family. Through blood tests, ultrasounds, surgery, and procedures, these women held my hand and hugged me during moments when I wanted to give up. When they learned that one of my embryos had passed PGT-A testing, they even called me, and we all celebrated over the phone. If you are looking for women who will support you throughout the process, this is the clinic to choose. I cannot thank all these women and Dr. K enough for the care and compassion they showed throughout my journey.

This place is very disappointing. The front-desk staff are always friendly, but that is where the positive experience ends. Good luck meeting the supposedly excellent doctor. I went through several rounds of intrauterine insemination (IUI) without ever seeing or even speaking to an actual doctor; nurses handled everything. They treated me like an ‘average patient’ and did not listen when I explained my menstrual cycle. They would schedule an IUI date, and I would ask whether it was appropriate because, according to my calendar, my fertile window would be over by then. Every IUI was extremely painful. The pain was severe, and I felt that something was wrong. My last IUI took a very long time and felt as though it were the nurse’s first day. After several failed attempts, they finally said, ‘Yes, you know what? You are right. Let’s do it another day.’ This greatly concerned me and made me wonder whether they knew what they were doing. Nothing changed from one cycle to the next. I suggested that I might have endometriosis, but she dismissed it. Afterward, I contacted another clinic. They got me in immediately, and I met with a doctor for a consultation at my first visit. We did one round of IUI, which failed, but it was completely painless. I had to ask the doctor whether she had already performed it because I could not tell. She immediately recommended an endometriosis biopsy, which came back positive. I had the IUI in April, and two months later I conceived naturally. Do not waste your money or time here. They do not care; they take your money and send you away.
09/04/2025
First, I must say that the front-desk staff and Becky, who performed nearly all my blood draws, were wonderful. Unfortunately, that is the only positive thing I can say about this clinic! Good luck seeing the ‘famous’ Dr. K, or her ‘assistant’ Nicole, unless you specifically request an appointment after repeated failed attempts with no changes to your plan or medications. Every ultrasound was rough and far from encouraging. None of the IUIs were ultrasound-guided, and nurses performed them. Our first was great, but during later attempts it seemed like their first day on the job! If you are even slightly overweight or obese, they will not treat you and will insist that you lose weight because they consider it the only and greatest problem. My OB-GYN and primary care physician diagnosed me with polycystic ovary syndrome, but I was completely ignored, and my weight again became the issue. If you are having only IUI, or at least starting there, be aware that you will feel like the lowest priority because IVF patients clearly come first at this clinic. This is a major warning sign, though it is not surprising that the ‘big spenders’ receive better treatment and priority. Many times we were told our appointments were delayed because ‘it is IVF time’ and ‘many IVF patients are ahead of you, so we are running a little behind.’ Sorry that spending several thousand dollars makes my infertility less serious—apparently that is just pocket change, right?! When they promise to call with your results at a specific time and do not, you must contact them. You must arrange your own specialty-pharmacy orders for time-sensitive medications because they cannot be bothered. With or without insurance, you must pay everything upfront as if they do not trust you to pay after an appointment or procedure. You must find your own urologist because the people they recommend are always fully booked or unavailable at certain offices. The list goes on. Do not come here! The positive reviews are either false, or perhaps their priority IVF patients simply do not know. I refuse to pay more for false hope. All you are left with is false hope. We took a break, emotionally and financially exhausted. You might think they would reach out to see whether everything was all right, but no—we were not IVF patients, so apparently we did not matter to them. This clinic is desperate for money. They seem to think it is great if their bland, basic, identical treatment plan works for everyone; if it does not, there is always another person to try it or another IVF patient willing to spend more. No, thank you! We found a wonderful new clinic and will tell everyone we know dealing with fertility issues to avoid Michigan Center for Fertility and Women’s Health!

I absolutely love everyone here!! From the first appointment to the final ultrasound, everyone was helpful, caring, and welcoming. We were fortunate to conceive on our first IVF attempt, and we are so grateful to the entire team for our beautiful baby girl 🩷

Dr. Kowalczyk was rude. She seems to believe unhealthy habits are how people achieve successful pregnancies and promotes them positively, even though there are steps we can take to improve our chances. Toxic.

My husband and I cannot thank this clinic enough for helping us achieve our dream! From the first appointment to the last, every staff member made us feel welcome and hopeful, as though they cared for us like family. Every person played an essential role in helping us welcome our baby, patiently answering every question and responding promptly. We are sad to graduate to our OB/GYN practice. We will miss everyone here and look forward to seeing them again when we try for our second baby.

I had an excellent experience at this fertility clinic thanks to the outstanding care provided by Dr. K, assistant Alexa, and the entire medical team. Dr. K's expertise and thoughtful approach made me feel reassured and supported throughout treatment. Alexa was exceptionally attentive, always patiently answering my questions and offering reassurance. The clinic staff were warm, professional, and truly committed to making every visit comfortable and pleasant. I sincerely appreciate their kindness and dedication and highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking fertility treatment.

I highly recommend this clinic. From the receptionists and nurses to the doctors, the entire staff is very kind and helpful. I have worked with several other IVF clinics in the area, and Michigan Center for Fertility and Women's Health is clearly the best. They are caring, compassionate, and patient. They listen and do not pressure you into aggressive treatment. So far, I have worked directly with Alexa and Dr. Budry. Both are wonderful. I highly, highly recommend this practice!

Thanks to Dr. Kowalczyk, we have our miracle baby! After ten years of marriage and two fertility clinics, she and the entire wonderful staff made our dream come true! We completed 2 IUI cycles before becoming pregnant. The entire process was very smooth. I highly recommend them!

Everyone, from the ultrasound technicians and PA to Dr. K, is wonderful. They have had great success helping me and many of my friends become pregnant. We especially love Alexa.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this office. All the nurses, medical assistants, and support staff are very supportive and good at answering questions. Alexa is caring and professional and always reassured me during a difficult process.

I came to this fertility clinic after three failed attempts with two other companies. From the first visit, they made me feel at home and more comfortable than I had elsewhere. They made sure everything was handled from start to finish. Every visit was a positive experience. They were very welcoming and attentive to all my needs. I conceived my baby girl on my first attempt with this company. I highly recommend this fertility company to couples and LGBTQ couples who want to start a family. I will return to them in a few months to work on baby number two.

I will always be grateful to the staff and doctors at Michigan Center for Fertility & Women's Health. After three consecutive early miscarriages, I felt I had lost hope. Thankfully, when I began my journey with the staff here, I felt so much love and support. I no longer felt alone and believed I had a team to help me achieve my dream of another child. I will always thank them for guiding me through IVF and for providing me with the best staff I have ever met. Here is a photo of my miracle:

My OB-GYN referred me for initial testing and preconception counseling. When I called to schedule, I had a terrible experience. The woman who answered asked my name, and when I explained why I was calling, she immediately began discussing IVF. I told her I was not interested in IVF and only wanted preliminary testing to assess my fertility. She then asked my age and would not let me speak. Without knowing my medical history or needs, she told me my only options were IVF or donor eggs. I finally had to ask her to stop and listen. After I briefly explained my history and asked whether they offered preliminary testing, the only service I currently wanted, she finally said yes but that I would need to join a waitlist. I agreed, and she recorded my information. I thanked her, and she replied, "Okay," then hung up. I ended the call shocked by how I had been treated. People calling fertility clinics are often already vulnerable. A little patience and understanding would make a major difference. I will not return, give them my money, or refer business to them. This was one of the most unpleasant interactions I have had with a medical professional. It was deeply disappointing and genuinely hurtful. A week later, they called to say I was off the waitlist, but I said I would not come. I asked whether my record showed whom I had spoken with, and she said no. When I said I had had a terrible experience, she did not ask what happened; she simply said okay and hung up.

We left this clinic because they recommended genetic testing through Natera. Unknown to us at the time, Natera overbills insurance and charges patients thousands of dollars. They later connected us with someone who could update our account to include the originally quoted $99 rate. That was in January, and we are still receiving bills for thousands of dollars from their partner laboratory. We were told the charge could be corrected because of the confusion, but the bills continue. They offered the $99 rate only through a link that expires after 30 minutes, after which the amount returns to the original price. We did not trust them and requested an invoice, but they "could not" provide one, leaving us to take their word. They also provided no written confirmation that the $99 rate would be honored and that we would not be billed again. Although Natera is a separate company and the complaint is primarily about them, Michigan Fertility & Women's Health told us something entirely different, guaranteed we would pay only $99, and continues working with this unethical company. That says a great deal about their own practices. If you choose this clinic, you should absolutely decline genetic testing, but honestly, you should find a clinic better aligned with your fertility needs.

I literally just hung up on the front desk woman in Bloomfield hills. Incredibly rude. If you’re stressed about your fertility or trying to conceive, don’t expect kindness from Danielle when you call.

After evaluating several fertility clinics and meeting Alexa and Dr. Kowalczyk, we felt this was the right place for us. Every couple has different needs and choices regarding fertility treatment. We tried several intrauterine inseminations (IUI), but unfortunately they were unsuccessful. We then moved to in vitro fertilization (IVF), successfully conceived, and welcomed our first child. We sincerely thank Dr. Kowalczyk and the entire team at Michigan Fertility Center for helping us complete IVF successfully. Our baby is healthy and beautiful, and none of this would have been possible without the team's expertise, care, and dedication throughout the process.

Dr. Budrys and her team have been an absolute blessing to our family. Today, our son met her and shared special news—he will soon be a big brother! At every step of our journey, Dr. Budrys showed incredible dedication, care, and support, making what once seemed impossible a reality. Her compassion and expertise gave us the family we dreamed of, and we will always be grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Budrys and her team to anyone hoping to grow their family!

I had my egg retrieval and first FET in Pittsburgh. After moving back to Michigan, I needed a nearby clinic for my second FET. The clinic accepted my Progyny fertility coverage, which was one factor in my decision. I had to transport my embryos from Pittsburgh to Michigan, and the clinic and embryology lab made the process seamless. I had a great experience completing pre-FET testing with Dr. Budrys. My procedure went smoothly, and I was pleased with the outcome. I had a few unusual issues, and the clinic always called back quickly and determined what to do. I had my FET in January, and the process was smooth and stress-free. They gave me a photo of my embryo and a lovely, comfortable gown to wear during the transfer. Every appointment was on time, and I never experienced delays caused by clinic staff. They accommodated my tight schedule and made the process easy. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking infertility/IVF treatment. They are very organized, unlike my experience with another local IVF chain. Communication was timely and clear.

Michigan Center for Fertility & Women's Health - Canton and Plymouth, Michigan, on Haggerty Road, across from Henry Ford Hospital near Joy Road. The treatment and service at Michigan Center for Fertility & Women's Health are excellent. The staff are warm, friendly, professional, and fully supportive throughout each patient's visit. One point to note: it would be very convenient for patients if the waiting area had a tea or coffee machine with the necessary supplies. This small amenity would make the wait more comfortable for everyone.

Dr. Burdiss is the best. The staff are friendly, professional, and supportive throughout the visit.

After more than four years of infertility and pregnancy loss, I finally found the courage to seek help from a reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) specialist, and I highly recommend the Michigan Center. Recurrent pregnancy loss is physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting, and having a team that truly understands the experience is essential. From my first appointment, I felt treated as a person, not merely a patient. We visited all three Center locations, and Plymouth was my favorite. Hannah, the ultrasound technologist, Hope, the nurse, and many other kind and thoughtful staff members made us feel supported and comforted. I wish I had come to the Michigan Center sooner. I am now in my second trimester with a low-risk baby. Looking back, the main things holding me back were fear of another loss and misunderstandings about cost. I would recommend the Michigan Center without hesitation to anyone seeking compassionate, attentive REI care.
28/05/2026
Words cannot express how grateful I am to this fertility clinic and the entire team. Dr. Budrys is compassionate and knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely cared for at every step of treatment. The nursing staff, especially Hope and Alyssa, were amazing—kind, responsive, and reassuring. From the care I received, it was clear that they put their hearts into caring for their patients. Hannah in ultrasound was gentle and considerate at every scan, and the phlebotomy and front desk staff were always welcoming, friendly, professional, and efficient. Fertility treatment can be emotionally overwhelming and extremely stressful, but this team made us feel supported and cared for from beginning to end. We are deeply grateful for the care they gave us and highly recommend this clinic to anyone on a fertility journey.

My review may be unusual, but it is worth sharing. I had been referred to another lead specialist, but I insisted on seeing Dr. K... Something told me that I only wanted to see her. My first appointment was on March 6, 2022! After I briefly explained my situation and learned that she had trained under a renowned doctor—my former doctor, who had retired—I was immediately intrigued. After asking some questions about my medical history, Dr. K told me without performing any tests that my option was donor eggs. I do not know what came over me, but I was shocked to hear that I would never conceive naturally, which was unlike me, and I apologize. I thanked Dr. K for her time but told her she did not know me, my faith in God, or my body, since no tests had been done. I had no husband or partner, although I seriously considered donor eggs. I left feeling hopeless. Overwhelmed, I began to pray. Summer came and my birthday passed, and I still had not found a partner! I cried out to God and said things I should not have said, which I later repented. I kept dreaming of other women having babies, and then I finally had a vivid dream that I was holding a child and knew the child was mine. On October 31, 2022, my pregnancy test finally turned positive, with clear lines and the unmistakable word "Pregnant"! I could not believe it! After 6 miscarriages between ages 16 and 36, I finally saw the result of unwavering faith. Around the same time, I had another dream in which a man called me "Sarah," the biblical name. At age 45, I gave birth to the healthy daughter I had always longed for and had begun buying clothes for 13 years earlier. My child is now two, and I thank Dr. K for igniting the fire of faith in me! I truly prayed, "I could spend this $30,000 on IVF, but IVF offers no 100% guarantee, while You do! If You do not let me become pregnant, I never will!" I said these words to God in a heartfelt prayer. My obstetrician-gynecologist did not believe I would make it past 10 weeks; after all, my other babies had not survived beyond 15 weeks. But this time was different! This time, I had the assurance of the Lord who gives life! I sincerely want to thank the person who lit that spark, because it was all part of God's plan. I remember that when I thanked Dr. K for her time and told her about my faith, her assistant/resident laughed softly, just like the man I heard laughing softly in my dream months later. From March 6, 2022, when the doctor said I could not conceive naturally, to October 31, 2022, when my pregnancy test turned positive, do not tell me what God cannot do.
05/12/2025
When my previous doctor retired, I felt devastated and unsure where to turn. My treatment was natural IVF—a gentler approach that relies on the body's own ability to produce a single egg with as little medication as possible—and few clinics offer it. This process had already become a deeply meaningful and personal journey. I had my son at 44 and, at 45, hoped to try again for a second child. Losing the doctor who understood my journey felt like losing my footing. My desire to find a doctor who genuinely respected my path led me to Dr. Carol Kowalczyk. From the beginning, Dr. Kowalczyk and her team did more than welcome me—they truly embraced me. They never treated me as a number or a chart, but like family. Her team is exceptional: warm, attentive, and caring. Their support extended far beyond medicine. A reassuring smile at the front desk, a nurse pausing to ask how I truly felt, or a gentle word when I felt vulnerable—every interaction made me feel seen, protected, and cared for. Their kindness gave me strength to continue. What moved me most was Dr. Kowalczyk's respect for my experience. She did not dismiss the natural IVF treatment I had begun elsewhere, but welcomed it. She took time to understand my history, listened to every question and concern, and continued my natural IVF protocol with the care and thoughtfulness I had hoped for. I am deeply grateful that she believes this approach has a place in her practice, because many women are never even told it is an option. During this process, others told me to give up, that donor eggs were my only option, and that I was “too old.” Dr. Kowalczyk never spoke to me that way. She and her team saw hope where others saw limitations. They remained by my side, respected my choices, and encouraged me when I needed it most, even when others readily dismissed my hope. No doctor can guarantee an outcome, but Dr. Kowalczyk and her exceptional team gave me something equally meaningful: the opportunity to try—with dignity, compassion, and genuine belief in my journey. I will always be grateful.

Wonderful staff, and Dr. K came through for us! We have a 9-year-old boy now, so this review is a little late! Haha.
22/02/2022
My husband and I worked with Dr. K, who gave us a very thorough and successful IVF experience. We were extremely fortunate to succeed on our first cycle! We will return for a second cycle in the near future.
04/05/2022
After losing my first pregnancy to miscarriage and struggling to conceive again for more than a year, I came to this clinic. Overall, it was excellent. I worked mainly with the physician assistant at this location and never met Dr. K personally, but I now have a 19-month-old daughter and am considering returning if I need help becoming pregnant again. The staff generally listen carefully to each woman's experience and develop a different treatment plan for each person, which I think is excellent.
29/11/2022
My experience at this office was very positive. Everyone I encountered was friendly and welcoming. Most often I met with physician assistant Alexa, who is wonderful. I know I am not the easiest patient, but Alexa had endless patience with me. She is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and passionate about her work. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone, and if you work with Alexa, you will be in excellent hands.
28/03/2024
I would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely the worst doctor I have worked with. Things were mishandled repeatedly. He did not care about helping me become pregnant. It is a numbers game: bring in more people and there may be a live birth, rather than genuinely caring about each patient's outcome. Do not waste your time, money, or emotions here.
04/04/2024
I want to share my review of this clinic. We have been with them through both of our children. We conceived our son naturally with the help of the excellent physician assistant Alexa. We then endured three devastating years of secondary infertility, 8 egg retrievals, 6 transfers, and one devastating late miscarriage. Through it all, Dr. K and later Dr. Budrys never gave up on me. We had the most wonderful nurse, Rae, in Bloomfield, and I will always be grateful to her. We welcomed our miracle baby last week, and we know she would not be here today without the combined efforts of all the doctors and nurses. I am forever grateful to everyone at Michigan Center. They gave us our family.
