Bác sĩ Farah Chuong, Hoa Kỳ


Sinh ra tại Miami, bác sĩ Chuong rất vui mừng được trở về quê nhà khi gia nhập trung tâm vào 2016 để giúp các cặp đôi thực hiện mục tiêu làm cha mẹ. Bà nhận bằng đại học tại Đại học Bang Florida vào 2004 và bằng y khoa tại Đại học Nam Florida vào 2008. Bác sĩ Chuong tiếp tục đào tạo y khoa tại Đại học Nam Florida, nơi bà hoàn thành chương trình nội trú sản phụ khoa và đảm nhiệm vị trí bác sĩ nội trú trưởng.

I cannot speak highly enough of my wonderful experience at the Fertility Center of Miami. From the moment I entered, the entire team—the front desk, sonographers, and nurses—made me feel comfortable and supported at every step. Special thanks to nurse Maily, whose warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made me feel very well cared for. She took time to offer reassurance during this stressful process. Dr. Zhang was very thorough during my consultation, clearly explained my options, and made sure I understood every part of the process. The procedure with Dr. Ackerman and the anesthesia team went very smoothly. The entire process was seamless, and I felt well cared for by the whole team. I am extremely grateful for the excellent care I received at the Fertility Center of Miami. If you are looking for a team that genuinely cares about your journey and supports you every step of the way, I highly recommend them.

This clinic exemplifies the healthcare problems in this country. Everyone knows healthcare here is extremely expensive, especially fertility care, but at this clinic everything about money is vague. They never tell you the cost. Only after you begin treatment do they add new fees. Fertilization fails for no apparent reason, they do not know why, and you keep paying. The care is terrible. Our journey to parenthood was extraordinary and would not have been possible without the unmatched expertise and compassionate care of the Fertility Center of Miami team. From the moment we entered, we knew we were in the hands of true professionals. Dr. Illions is an exceptional physician whose knowledge and dedication are second to none. He guided us confidently through every step of IVF, always taking time to explain the process and answer our many questions. His commitment to excellence was clear in every interaction, and we will always be grateful for his role in helping us bring our little miracle into the world. Special thanks also to nurse Denise Williams, who was the foundation of our entire experience. Her warmth, kindness, and attention to detail made all the difference. I had a wonderful experience with this group. The clinical staff were excellent, and everyone was professional, friendly, and kind. The office was clean and quiet. Denise was wonderful and knowledgeable and made the experience easy and comfortable. I definitely recommend this group.

I saw Dr. Ackerman for IVF. He was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. The nurses were lovely and always willing to help and answer any questions. I recommend this fertility clinic to anyone seeking IVF treatment.

Everyone at this clinic is wonderful! Starting with Dr. Ackerman, who is very patient and kind and takes time to explain everything throughout the process. It is reassuring to have a doctor with so much experience and knowledge. Angie, the queen of the office, always has everything under control and ensures you feel at home. Ultrasound technician Dayi and nurses Teresa, Nicole, and Joanie keep everything running smoothly and inform us at every step. They are always so sweet and kind. We apologize if we missed anyone, but the staff here are truly wonderful! Thank you for making our dream come true! Graduating is certainly bittersweet. We love you all!

Thanks to the outstanding team at Miami Fertility Center, I am now in my third trimester. I had a frozen embryo transfer with Dr. Illions, and it worked on the first attempt! He is amazing—knowledgeable, compassionate, and very thorough. The entire staff was also tremendously supportive and caring and genuinely invested throughout my pregnancy. After overcoming cancer, experiencing this miraculous pregnancy means everything to me. I will always be grateful to Dr. Illions and his team for making my dream of becoming a mother again come true. My entire experience, from beginning to end, was extraordinary. Thank you, Miami Fertility Center, for giving me this miracle baby!

Exceptionally attentive care! Dr. Ackerman and his team are highly professional; their experience and expertise are evident at every moment. I had an excellent experience with my fertility clinic. Dr. Akerman and his entire team are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and professional. The nurses are absolutely spectacular, and the nurse practitioner is exceptionally skilled and caring. From the medical staff to the front desk, everyone made me feel supported and well cared for throughout the whole process. Even the on-call service was attentive and helpful whenever I had questions or concerns. I truly appreciate the dedication and compassion of this team, and I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking fertility care.

Our two-year experience with this fertility clinic (2021-2023) was incredibly disappointing. Because of the sensitive nature of the services, I cannot share specific details, but the problems were consistent: repeated errors, poor communication, and disorganization that left us constantly stressed and repeatedly questioning matters that should have been handled by professionals. After giving them more than two years to improve, we switched to CCRM, and the difference was striking. Based on our experience, I strongly advise anyone considering this clinic to think carefully. We saw too many preventable mistakes and cannot recommend them to anyone.

I have only good things to say about this clinic. Everyone—from the front desk staff to the nurses, especially Denise, insurance specialist Marylin, financial specialist Tania, and Dr. Illions—has been very kind, supportive, and thoughtful. I am still receiving treatment, but regardless of the outcome, I will always be grateful for the care they have given me. Thank you!

I am very satisfied with Miami Fertility Center. They are highly professional, and Dr. Fernando Akerman is knowledgeable and experienced. He takes time to understand each patient and their medical history and is kind and approachable. The entire staff is wonderful! Thank you, Miami Fertility Center!

I am very grateful to this clinic because it helped me have a healthy, perfect son. I appreciated that, in addition to diagnostic testing, they strongly emphasized lifestyle changes before developing a treatment plan. All the nurses were wonderful and thoughtful. Dr. Ackerman is very knowledgeable yet down-to-earth and gave us hope during our most difficult time. I had expected him to be more involved throughout the process, but after the first few consultations, we did not hear from him again. I was not an IVF patient, so perhaps that was the reason. Overall, however, my experience was positive, and they helped us build our family!

I went there for a routine examination. A year later, I received a $300 bill for a consultation. All I received was a 5-minute conversation in which I was asked only one question about my motivation. I was never told this would cost extra, and it seemed required for the routine examination—really? Most importantly, the billing department is now difficult to reach. Be careful and ask about pricing in advance at every step of the process.

I have been trying to schedule an appointment for over a week, but no one answers the phone. It cannot be done online either. I called at different times and on different days, both morning and afternoon, but no one answered. This is a red flag! I cannot reach the center and would advise anyone to be cautious!

The absolute best team! I have been a patient twice, so trust me, I know. Thank you so much for helping us realize our dream! Many thanks to Dr. Jacobs, now retired, Dr. Chuong, and the nursing staff—too many to name individually, but thank you all so very much for your kindness and help. I will not deduct a star for the medical records department, but if you do not stay on top of them, things will not get done.

Avoid this place! Dr. Joel E. Taylor is unscrupulous and motivated only by profit. My husband and I went there for some “basic testing.” Before we had even tried to conceive naturally, she told us we should pursue IVF with an egg donor and urged us to hear their financial plan immediately! Yesterday, we received the total invoice for the “basic testing” she ordered: $14,000.00! She only wanted our money! I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Zhang and her entire team. From the day I met her, I felt she would help me become pregnant, and she did! I must add that it was not easy, and I had seen other doctors before finding her. She was warm, approachable, thorough, and compassionate. I always felt that she genuinely cared about my husband's and my fertility journey. Throughout the process, I felt seen, heard, and cared for. Although I am happy to have ‘graduated’ from her care, leaving Dr. Zhang was bittersweet because she had become such an important part of this chapter of my life. I wholeheartedly recommend her and all her nurses and technicians!

Choosing Dr. Chuong for my egg retrieval was the best decision. Everyone at Baptist Hospital was kind, thoughtful, and compassionate. You can tell they genuinely care about patients. Everyone I encountered was wonderful, but special thanks to Nurse Marcella during the retrieval and Nurse Denise at several visits. They were very kind and patient with me.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with this office. I went for a consultation about egg freezing. Before giving me pricing or a financial consultation, they performed several tests, ultrasounds, and blood tests, saying insurance would cover everything. After the results came back, they finally provided a financial consultation and explained that the procedure had a fixed fee for X number of eggs, with an additional X-dollar charge if they retrieved more. I found this strange because friends who had the procedure were not charged 'per egg.' I sought other opinions, and those practices were also shocked by this billing method. I decided to see another doctor at UHealth, and the entire process went smoothly. Dr. Zhang's office now claims I owe them more money, even though they already billed my insurance, and they are threatening to send me to collections. Given the mental, emotional, and financial strain this process already creates, having to deal with this issue is extremely upsetting.
