In my opinion, Dr. Caldas is excellent. My young adult daughter called to ask about birth control options because she experienced pain and bleeding every day. He gave her options, and she chose an IUD. She had an appointment three days later and asked whether she could receive something to ease her discomfort during the procedure. The doctor prescribed medication, but because she had taken it in the car, she could not drive herself. When we arrived, she signed a consent form authorizing me to make all decisions. The office manager took us into a room and said there would be no procedure, that my daughter was ineligible, and that the consent form was invalid because she had taken medication. We needed to schedule another appointment. I do not understand how my daughter was suddenly considered impaired for no reason. Could this not have been determined before she took the medication? As we left, I requested three things: 1) another consent form for her to complete the next day, 2) a school note for her absence, and 3) a call from Dr. Caldas to explain. We left without any of them. Tiffany said Dr. Caldas would not call me to explain and would speak with my daughter the next day. As I said, he is brilliant, but his office has no understanding of customer service or courtesy and is extremely poor. They did not care that they had made a mistake and merely said, “I do not know how this happened.” Really? What a terrible experience.

I was scheduled for a hysterectomy on October 28, but they called today to cancel it because I was uncertain. I asked them to send my records to my obstetrician because I wanted a second opinion. Simply because I did that, they called and canceled the surgery. I have never been so angry. My husband arranged all his work so he could be at home with me. I do not recommend them. Canceling less than a week before surgery is terrible.

Six months after surgery, I am still in terrible pain. When I saw the NP, she said it could not be internal pain because they had removed everything and that I should try a pain specialist. I explained that I knew I still had adenomyosis because it was not removed, only shaved. When I asked about this before surgery, they immediately said, “Well, then we do not have to do it.” I felt extremely angry and treated like a number. I could tell they only wanted to move patients in and out. I had heard wonderful reviews of Dr. Caldas and am extremely disappointed. I will not return.

Dr. Caldas is the best you can find. He is completely dedicated to his work and is a very kind person. His team is wonderful and responds to your needs immediately. Words are not enough to describe Dr. Caldas; you must experience his genuine care and compassion for patients.

I was very disappointed with my visit to this clinic. I went in for an examination and spent $950 just to sit in a chair without receiving any actual treatment or help. They promised to call me back but never did. I felt I was treated differently because I am an immigrant. This attitude seems discriminatory and is unacceptable. I do not recommend this clinic.

I am very disappointed with this service. It seems every patient is strictly allotted 20 minutes, because after 30 minutes the doctor became visibly tense, responded abruptly, and stood there looking displeased. It was clear that she simply wanted me to leave as quickly as possible. They also promised to call me about the required tests, but I never received a call. This treatment of patients is unacceptable!

The Kaldas Center gave me the relief I had sought for more than a decade. Despite seeing many doctors who dismissed my concerns and would not consider the possibility of endometriosis, I continued to struggle with painful, debilitating periods. My experience at the Kaldas Center, however, transformed my life. I felt truly understood and validated. After carefully considering my options, I underwent endometriosis excision surgery under Dr. Kaldas's care. I am now 4 months post-op and can confidently say that my life has improved. I am pain-free and able to experience life in ways I could not before. From my first visit through surgery and beyond, Dr. Kaldas and his team have consistently provided exceptional care and compassion. I wholeheartedly recommend their services!

I rarely leave reviews, but I needed to share this so women who are suffering can understand what it really takes to obtain help for debilitating conditions. I researched the Kaldas Center and was impressed by reviews from women in situations similar to mine who obtained results by seeking help from this practice. I scheduled an appointment several weeks ago. The woman I spoke with was kind. I told her I had left my corporate job because of a chronic illness. She quickly explained that my visit would cost about $900 for the office portion, but she thought I would need an immediate ultrasound, so the cost would increase and a billing representative would contact me with more information. Billing never contacted me! I eventually obtained state insurance, something I had never done before, and the process was already humiliating. When I said I had state insurance, the representative checked, found that my HMO, which I had not actually selected yet, was out of network, canceled my appointment, and quickly ended the call. I offered to self-pay, but the representative sternly said, ‘It is one or the other; that is the rule,’ and became angry at my frustration. My appointment was tomorrow! On top of that, I would have had to travel two hours to see this practice. They also did not request medical records. Do not consider going there with an extensive history because they do not investigate anything! My case involves 3 surgeries, and they did not care about the details. Unimpressed, to say the least.

Dr. Kaldas is amazing! Before meeting him, I visited several clinics that said I needed in vitro fertilization (IVF) and diagnosed us with unexplained infertility. As soon as I described my symptoms, Dr. Kaldas said he was 99% certain I had endometriosis and also addressed my thyroid issue, which other doctors had ignored. The endometriosis was confirmed, and my excision surgery was very successful. Before seeing Dr. Kaldas, we had tried to conceive for more than a year without success. In the first full cycle after surgery, I received my first positive pregnancy test. I highly recommend Dr. Kaldas and his team!

RUN from this place. My wife and I went to the Kaldas center seeking fertility treatment. Their primary means of healing is surgery. They didn't present any options without a surgical procedure. We paid for two full fertility treatments and instead of getting pregnant her condition only worsened. Instead of continuing with what felt to us like medical malpractice (this is an opinion) we found a pelvic floor PT who helped us get pregnant in a single fertility cycle.

My wife and I stopped treatment after she conceived naturally one month later. They refused to perform an ultrasound, even just to reassure her. She later miscarried. Between the miscarriage and a change in my health insurance company, we missed a $70 bill. After paying thousands of dollars out of pocket, we received a letter saying they were ending our care, telling us to find another specialist, and threatening to send us to collections within 15 days. They had no hesitation taking thousands of dollars from us but showed no flexibility over $70. Given how they handled this, I strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere.

My experience at this clinic was very disappointing. It felt as though their main goal was to have me undergo surgery and charge a high fee rather than genuinely help me. Although the doctor said surgery might lead to more or better treatment options, the outcome was exactly the same recommendation given at the beginning: surgery. The doctor did not give me enough time or attention. For a clinic specializing in endometriosis, I expected more compassion and understanding. During a procedure known to cause patients pain, the staff were neither welcoming nor supportive. In fact, the surgeon seemed annoyed by my discomfort. Ultimately, I was back where I started, with no meaningful progress and a huge bill.

Dr. Caldas was once an excellent doctor and surgeon. However, with age and a lack of business knowledge, his practice has declined sharply. He should have remained in a hospital system where others could manage the business, because he cannot run a medical practice. He seems more concerned with performing surgery to satisfy his ego and make money from patients than with providing services that genuinely help and heal them. This has become a sickening place. I have never seen my wife so discouraged and disgusted by her physical condition, and everything the Caldas Center did for her was absolutely shameful. Seek a second opinion and be cautious with Dr. Caldas. He is another arrogant surgeon seeking to profit from vulnerable women who simply want help.

I have been a patient at the Caldas Center since I was about 12, and it is very upsetting to have to write this review now that I am 20. My mother was a patient there for more than 20 years, and Dr. Caldas was even her obstetrician-gynecologist when she was pregnant with me. I am grateful that they diagnosed me with endometriosis, adenomyosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome, which is why I gave them at least one star. I had surgery for all three conditions in March. The insurance reimbursement went back and forth and was not finalized until September. We informed the clinic about the issue several times, but they still sent my bill to collections. They showed no compassion for a patient in this situation, and the billing department was terrible. When I called with questions in June, a nurse simply mentioned that my bill was due, which was not her responsibility. You might think everything would be fine once insurance paid the bill, but it was not. I requested a medication refill, and my mother received a pharmacy message stating, "Rejection code. Patient is no longer receiving prescription treatment."

After eight years of struggling with various health issues and seeing five OB-GYNs, I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis, adenomyosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) with the help of Dr. Rami Kaldas. Four different OB-GYNs told me that some of my symptoms were not abnormal, might be side effects of type 1 diabetes, and that there were no other tests to perform. They did not understand—or simply did not care about—the long-term effects of these poorly understood conditions. They also dismissed possibilities I raised based on online research. I mentioned research indicating that 30% of people with endometriosis have no pain. I had many other warning signs, including a family history of endometriosis, that were enough to seriously consider these conditions. Constantly shifting between believing something was truly wrong and wondering whether it was all in my head was extremely distressing. I am incredibly grateful that others' stories led me to the Kaldas Center. Dr. Kaldas and his team took my concerns seriously and treated me with respect and dedication. In only two months, Dr. Kaldas gave me answers and solutions, as well as exceptional care and professional guidance. He explained every option calmly and directly. I never felt pressured or forced to have surgery. Although I was afraid, I chose laparoscopic excision surgery and a hysterosalpingogram to pursue a thorough diagnosis and treatment plan. I felt relieved when he diagnosed stage I endometriosis and found that it was compressing and blocking my right fallopian tube. I knew I faced a high risk of ectopic pregnancy while trying to conceive, but Dr. Kaldas believed I still had a strong chance of becoming pregnant. That was valuable and hopeful information. After surgery, I received expert guidance and took metformin to induce ovulation. Six months later, I scheduled an appointment to discuss the next fertility treatment steps—and had a positive pregnancy test that morning! I feared an ectopic pregnancy, but an OB-GYN team in Milwaukee refused to see me and only advised me to visit the emergency department. The Kaldas Center staff made an exception and arranged an urgent ultrasound. It showed that I was not 4 weeks pregnant as I had thought, but 13 weeks. I had not known because I experienced cervical bleeding throughout the first trimester. I often wonder whether my insurance would have covered an emergency visit for what ultimately was not an emergency. Once again, the Kaldas Center played a crucial role on one of the most frightening—and ultimately happiest—days of my life. Transferring to a local OB-GYN was emotional. I still have not found a physician or healthcare facility in Milwaukee that treats me the way the Kaldas Center did. Receiving care near home is convenient, but leaving them was bittersweet. I may need to take time off work to return to the Kaldas Center for annual examinations. I continually recommend the Kaldas Center to friends and family in Milwaukee. I am now 19 weeks pregnant with a healthy girl. I feel more confident knowing how to help my daughter and where to seek care if she develops gynecologic problems. I first came to the Kaldas Center almost a year ago, genuinely believing it was my last hope. Everything that has happened within one year is incredible. Thank you to Dr. Kaldas and every healthcare professional involved in my treatment—you changed my life, and I will always be grateful.

My son and daughter-in-law underwent months of infertility treatment and surgery at the Kaldas Center without success. Worse, the doctor's wife, Tiffany, was extremely rude, cold, and uncaring. She runs the entire practice and is nearly impossible to reach. She is inflexible and shows no concern for the clinic's patients. When my son and daughter-in-law decided to transfer to another fertility clinic because of how Tiffany treated patients, she threatened to send them to collections over a bill that is currently disputed. She is an awful person who should not be serving vulnerable women.
    Jan 7, 2026
BEWARE OF TIFFANY! Dr. Kaldas' wife, Tiffany, is the reason I am leaving the clinic. She is the least compassionate person I have ever met, which is ironic for the industry. I have left numerous interactions with her in tears due to her rude attitude, inflexibility and lack of empathy. She threatened to send me to collections even though I have an appeal under review through insurance, but she told me she didn't care and that she needed that payment. This is after giving the Kaldas Center THOUSANDS of dollars. I have never felt more like a walking dollar sign in my life... I must say, Dr. Kaldas did wonderful work via surgery by cleaning up my endometriosis and PCOS. I had internal bleeding post-op, and he came back to do an emergency exploratory surgery to find the bleeding. I was very impressed by his bed side manner, and am grateful that he would come in to remedy the situation. I did enjoy the little chats with him, but a majority of the interactions you encounter are not with Kaldas at the clinic.

After two years of trying unsuccessfully to conceive, I went to Caldas Center hoping for support, compassion, and help. Instead, I was met with coldness, dismissed, and practically pushed out as if I did not exist. Both the financial team and Dr. Caldas told me their priority was helping me become pregnant, not making money, and that they could work with my insurance company to arrange a payment plan. Yet when I tried to log into my account, I received a message saying I was "no longer a client." There was no warning, phone call, or explanation. I called the office and spoke with Tiffany, one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. She told me I had been discharged because of an unpaid October bill. When I explained that I had been told a payment plan was available, she said, "That was never the case," and "There are no payment plans." Then, when I tried to arrange one, she told me it was "too late." So instead of communicating with me like a human being, offering a solution, or showing even basic compassion, they quietly removed me as a patient and allowed their staff to treat me like garbage. Completely unacceptable—cold, unprofessional, and lacking basic humanity. If I could give zero stars, I would. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially during such a vulnerable and emotional journey.

I would give this clinic a negative rating if I could. If you plan to self-pay because they do not accept your insurance, find another clinic for fertility treatment. They never answer the phone and are extremely difficult to reach. Save your time and find a more compassionate clinic.

Although I liked Dr. Kaldas and Carrie Hesse, I would never recommend this clinic. Other staff members treat patients poorly. After some tests, the clinic manager—not even a doctor or nurse—told me over the phone that I should proceed directly to IVF, consider donor eggs, and that they would no longer see me because I was ‘wasting time.’ This was devastating news, and they handled it terribly. I consulted other doctors and learned that my ovaries were healthy, I had many follicles, and my AMH was normal, so I still had options. I did not feel cared for or heard. Their only recommendation was surgery, and they will recommend surgery to you as well. The nurses are also difficult to reach and dismissive. I needed bloodwork on a specific day of my cycle and called several times to explain that I needed the order that day. The front desk said the nurse would handle it ‘as soon as possible.’ They repeatedly said the nurses were too ‘busy,’ and the clinic closed before the order was issued. This clinic may be suitable for routine OB-GYN or endocrinology care, but if you have fertility concerns, I recommend skipping this step and seeing a reproductive endocrinologist directly. This may prevent additional stress and unnecessary testing.

After 18 years of “unexplained” pain and severe periods and 5 years of “unexplained” infertility, Dr. Rami Kaldas and his team diagnosed and treated my endometriosis, adenomyosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome. Over the years, I saw countless specialists in Irving and Dallas, Texas, and Milwaukee and Neenah, Wisconsin. They performed painful examinations, tests, and procedures but made no progress. Each ultimately said I only had premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), should have my fallopian tubes removed, and try IVF. Some recommended hysterectomy or strong birth-control pills, while others suggested stronger pain medication for my periods. Thank God, and my friends and family, for encouraging me to consult Dr. Kaldas before giving up completely on pain relief and natural conception. Words cannot express my gratitude to Dr. Kaldas and his kind, knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful team. The care at his clinic was first-rate. They performed laparoscopic surgery, excised endometriosis from 10 different areas of my abdomen, treated adenomyosis, and used a laser on my fallopian tubes and ovaries. He also helped control my PCOS symptoms and promote natural ovulation with a nonhormonal medication. I also appreciated that his clinic felt more like a medical spa than a traditional office. Medical equipment was not left exposed, and examination tables were covered. After years of invasive examinations and treatments, I felt intense panic whenever I entered an exam room, as many women do. I shared this before my consultation, and they were understanding and considerate. I was treated with respect, and every question was answered. His team was consistently patient and thorough, even using medical textbooks and images to explain their reasoning. This is how all medical care should be. My pain is now significantly reduced, and for the first time in my life my menstrual cycles are regular. My husband and I conceived five months after surgery. I strongly encourage anyone experiencing pain, irregular periods, infertility, or related concerns to schedule a consultation. These doctors do not limit themselves to conventional approaches, and their distinctive care is well worth exploring.

Dr. Kaldas and his team are amazing! They are very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Kaldas. He is the best OB-GYN I have met, takes time to explain everything in detail, and is very approachable!

They will threaten and intimidate you, telling you to sell your car or ask for an inheritance early if your insurance ultimately does not provide the coverage they told you it would. They give you 24 hours to pay a large fee or threaten to put a lien on your home. Terrible doctors and terrible practices.

I scheduled a telephone consultation more than a month in advance. One business day before the appointment, the office called to say they no longer offered telephone appointments and would not honor mine; I would have to come to the office to keep it. I live eight hours away. Very unprofessional. They should have honored scheduled appointments before discontinuing telephone visits. Calling one day beforehand is terrible service.

I was Dr. Caldas's patient for ten years and love him. What I do not like is what just happened. I had 2 endometriosis surgeries, 4 IUIs, and many annual appointments. I missed a payment in 2020, when the world shut down, and it was sent to collections in 2021. I had not realized and paid immediately. I recently scheduled my annual visit and was called one hour ago, the day before it, to be told I was permanently barred as a patient. What?! Everyone is human, and I missed one payment. I could understand if this happened often. I am deeply hurt by this treatment and feel abandoned. The office manager explained that I could see many other gynecologists—who says that? I considered myself a loyal patient of Dr. Caldas, spent a great deal out of pocket, and was treated like trash. I was told this policy had existed for more than 10 years and that by the time you are notified, it is too late. I love him as a doctor, and his nurses are wonderful. This is truly unfortunate and sad.

The best gynecologist ever. He listens to your concerns and treats you as an individual, unlike other doctors who simply follow the textbook and treat you like cattle.
