Dr. Audrey Melati Marsidi, United States
Audrey M. Marsidi, MD, FACOG, is an assistant professor at Emory Reproductive Center. She is from Tennessee, where she attended college and medical school. As an undergraduate at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, she served as director of the Rhodes College Women's Center and received an Academic Excellence Scholarship. During medical school, she served as president of Student Women in Medicine and co-president of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Interest Group and was selected by faculty and peers to serve on the Honor Council and the Gender and Sexuality Committee. Upon graduating in 2013, she received the Ann Tranum Hawkin Award for Excellence in Women's Health. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Connecticut, where she was invited to present her research at several national meetings and received the Best Research Award at Connecticut Research Day in 2017. After residency, she moved to Atlanta and joined Emory University as a fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She is actively involved in the clinical care of patients at Emory Reproductive Center and chose to remain at Emory as an assistant professor because of her commitment to personalized, compassionate, evidence-based fertility care.
Dr. Marsidi's previous research focused on laboratory models of in vitro spermatogenesis and national in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes associated with advanced paternal age, using data from the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology Clinic Outcome Reporting System. She has presented her work in peer-reviewed journals and at national scientific and clinical meetings, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.
Dr. Marsidi has particular interests in infertility, in vitro fertilization, fertility preservation, primary ovarian insufficiency, transgender fertility, and third-party reproduction. She is a member of the ASRM QBoost Task Force and reviews for several peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Marsidi is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Outside medicine, she enjoys international travel, live music, scuba diving, acrylic painting, and spending time with family.
