Allison Petrini, MD, diagnoses and treats complex causes of infertility to help build families.
A Texas native, Allison Petrini, MD, is proud to care for men and women in her home state. This Austin fertility doctor grew up outside Houston and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, then moved to New York City for further training in women’s healthcare.
After medical school, Dr. Petrini completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College, where she also served as administrative chief resident. Her outstanding residency performance earned her admission to the elite reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Petrini has received many awards for excellence
During her education and training, Allison Petrini, MD, received numerous awards, including the Gold Humanism Honor Society Award, Jerome Seiler Memorial Award for Excellence in Pelvic Surgery, and Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award. She also received several teaching awards.
This Austin fertility doctor has authored many scientific publications and presented her research at national and international meetings. She has received several research awards, including the Society of Reproductive Surgeons In-Training Research Award and Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Paper Award.
Dr. Petrini belongs to several professional organizations.

Allison Petrini, MD, diagnoses and treats many complex causes of infertility. Her extensive reproductive medicine training allows her to treat all causes of infertility, with particular expertise in diminished ovarian reserve, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and male-factor infertility. She is also skilled in surgical infertility treatment.
Above all, she values the relationships she builds with patients. “As a fertility doctor, I can form strong relationships with patients. It is an honor to support them during such an important and vulnerable time,” she explained.
Dr. Petrini also stays busy outside her work as an Austin fertility doctor.
Family is everything to Allison Petrini, MD, and was the main reason she and her husband returned to Texas. In addition to family time, she enjoys trying different foods, traveling to experience new cultures, practicing yoga, and reading.
