Neil Chappell, MD, is a fertility specialist and Louisiana native. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. After completing his internship and residency at the University of Alabama Women and Infants Hospital, he became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
During his four years at the University of Alabama, he received a medical student teaching award each year, the Outstanding Chief Resident Chairman's Award, and special recognition for achievement in minimally invasive surgery and obstetrics.
Neil Chappell, MD, completed his fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he frequently lectured residents and doctoral students on reproductive endocrinology. His thesis focused on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), earning international recognition through multiple awards and publications. In 2018, he earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research.

Dr. Chappell's training gives him expertise in infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, PCOS, nutritional and environmental medicine, menopause and hormone replacement therapy, and surgical options for fibroids, uterine abnormalities, and endometriosis. Our Louisiana fertility specialist also has extensive interest and experience in assisted reproductive technology and embryology.
Neil Chappell, MD, is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He has also published articles on PCOS, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, reproductive dysfunction in women with cancer, and other topics.
