Hal C. Danzer, M.D.
As co-founder and partner of Southern California Reproductive Center, Dr. Hal Danzer has dedicated his career to helping patients build families.
In 2000, Dr. Danzer co-founded SCRC as a fertility center providing high-quality laboratory science and clinical care. Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, he serves in UCLA's reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship program and is Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine. At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, he practices as a reproductive endocrinologist and attending physician in obstetrics and gynecology.
The grandson of a midwife and son of a hospital administrator, Dr. Danzer comes from a family with a long connection to women's health and fertility. As the spouse of a psychologist, he understands the importance of listening to patients' emotional needs throughout family building.
After moving to California, Dr. Danzer earned his bachelor's degree from the University of San Francisco, where he developed an interest in endocrinology. He graduated with honors from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. After an internship at USC Women's Hospital Medical Center, he completed residency at Cedars-Sinai and a two-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility through the USC/Cedars-Sinai program.
A longtime women's health specialist, Dr. Danzer has co-authored books and articles in journals including Fertility and Sterility and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His approach seeks to improve the chance of pregnancy, reduce miscarriage and complications of multiple births, and lower the risk of genetic disease.
Parents magazine named Dr. Danzer one of the nation's top 10 fertility specialists. His expertise has appeared in The New York Times, In Touch, Yahoo, The Huffington Post, SheKnows.com, Refinery29, and The Marilu Henner Show. He has also served as an expert for television programs, legal proceedings, and the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Dr. Danzer values meaningful relationships with patients and remains attentive to anxiety and other psychological concerns related to fertility care.
Dr. Danzer and his wife Sheri, a noted psychotherapist, live in Brentwood, California, and have two adult children.

“Thank you so much, SCRC! You helped me become pregnant with my second baby. Just as with my first pregnancy, every step went smoothly, from the initial tests and embryo transfer to confirmation of pregnancy. I strongly recommend this professional clinic to friends who need IVF!”
