Dr. Mark Surrey, co-founder and Medical Director of Southern California Reproductive Center, is a leader in fertility and reproductive medicine, including reproductive surgery and IVF.
Dr. Surrey is a board-certified reproductive and endoscopic surgeon and Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is also Associate Director of Advanced Technologies at SCRC and provides IVF services for UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has practiced for more than 25 years.
Dr. Surrey earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his medical degree from George Washington University. After internship and residency at UCLA Medical Center, he completed fellowships in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Hammersmith Hospital, University of London. He then trained in preimplantation genetic diagnosis at the University of London and Monash University in Melbourne.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Surrey has published in leading peer-reviewed journals including Fertility and Sterility and the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. He is a past president of AAGL and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society. He continues advanced work in IVF, PGD, pelvic reconstructive surgery, microsurgery, and laparoscopy, including as a principal investigator in laparoscopic reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Surrey has been named one of the “Top 100 Health Professionals” and included in “Best Doctors in America.” His expertise has been featured by media including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Glamour, Parents, CNN, Fox, CBS, ABC, and NBC.
Originally from Washington, D.C., Dr. Surrey now lives in Beverly Hills with his wife and children.
