Dr. Scott Roseff, United States
Scott Roseff, MD, FACOG, is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. With nearly 30 years in practice, his prominence and achievements in reproductive medicine place him at the forefront of the subspecialty.
Dr. Roseff was the founder and director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. His research and special interests include the mechanism of action of clomiphene citrate (Clomid/Serophene), hormonal dynamics of the menstrual cycle, abnormal sperm function, ovarian/oocyte aging, natural and holistic approaches to improving fertility, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), among others.
Dr. Roseff's primary goal is to identify and address the reasons conception has not occurred, so patients can become and remain pregnant as naturally as possible. He believes that patients with reduced fertility deserve support and personalized, advanced care. He takes time with patients, answers their questions, and addresses their concerns fully and respectfully.
Dr. Roseff has received the Patients' Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award in 2011.
He is recognized on the Healthgrades Honor Roll, listed as a HealthTap Scholar, and is widely published and sought after as a lecturer in the United States and abroad.
In addition to long service on the executive committee of the New York Reproductive Medicine Society, he belongs to numerous leading professional organizations, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the medical advisory board of the International Council on Infertility Information Dissemination (INCIID), the Florida Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Roseff is an elected Fellow and diplomate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and an ad hoc reviewer for Fertility and Sterility.
After medical school, Dr. Roseff completed a rotating internship in internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry, and obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Stamford Hospital in Connecticut, affiliated with Yale New Haven Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. He then completed a postgraduate fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the UCSD School of Medicine in San Diego, California, where he received the Mellon Foundation Award for Academic Excellence in Reproductive Science.
Dr. Roseff has two children—or three, counting his dog Zeus—and a beloved wife of 35 years. A devoted family man, he enjoys watching documentaries with his wife and relaxing whenever he has free time.
