Dr. John Greer, USA

Dr. John Greer is a versatile, board-certified urologist specializing in male infertility. He is a founding member of the Idaho Urologic Institute and Surgery Center of Idaho. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Greer graduated from Auburn University. He earned his medical degree and completed his internship and residency at Emory University.

Dr. Greer trained in male reproductive medicine and microsurgery at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in male infertility treatment, vasectomy reversal, and sperm retrieval for in vitro fertilization.

Dr. Greer specializes in vasectomy, prostate cancer, kidney stones, and erectile dysfunction. His surgical and general urology practice includes inflatable prosthesis placement and da Vinci robotic prostatectomy. He is actively involved in research at the Idaho Urologic Institute.

Dr. Greer grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to Boise in 2000 to open a practice specializing in male reproductive medicine. Outside the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, and tennis.

Dr. Greer is a member of the American Urological Association, Idaho Medical Association, Ada County Medical Society, and American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Greer has hospital privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise and Nampa; the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Boise; Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon, Idaho; West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell; and Treasure Valley Hospital.

Dr. Greer sees patients at our Meridian and Salmon clinics.

Thank you, Dr. Nick Allen! The best doctor's appointment I have ever had. Everything ran smoothly, so I did not sit waiting forever. Dr. Allen was professional and funny. I already feel much better, and I have not even started treatment. Love this place! The entire staff is wonderful!

They told me I would not have to pay for the services, but they lied, and now I am stuck with thousands of dollars in medical bills. They ruined my life. They should be punished, but that will not happen, and they will continue deceiving people.

From a service standpoint, everything still seemed to go as expected, and the bedside manner was good. However, I gave fewer stars because I apparently overpaid, and to resolve it they mailed me a prepaid Visa card. Long story short, I could not use the card and lost money because of the fees. Update: IUI has corrected the situation, so I added stars to reflect what I had always hoped my review would be.

I have been trying to schedule an appointment for a week. They refused because they did not have documents from my doctor, even though I need to see a specialist. I have called repeatedly asking them to speak with my doctor, but they refused and made little effort to flag the appointment or even accept me as a patient??? The receptionist was rude and indifferent to my situation. Sadly, I have to travel to another town to see a urologist 😢 Am I in pain and worried?

I called to see a female doctor for testicular pain and was told that the female doctor no longer sees men for that issue. This is discrimination! Many women do not want a female OB-GYN, and many men do not want a male urologist. Why discriminate against men this way?

This is an update to my previous review. Nurse Shannon returned my call, listened to my concerns, and scheduled a consultation with Dr. Kuntz for next week. She said there may have been a misunderstanding between me and the customer service representative (CSR) I spoke with at the time. I told her I had clearly said I wanted an appointment with Dr. Kuntz or Dr. Nick, not a phone call, but had been told that IUI policy did not allow direct consultations and instead routed patients through the nursing staff. Shannon told me that every IUI patient is entitled to a direct consultation. She said she would discuss my previous Google review, which they had seen, and the reason for it with the front desk staff. Overall, I am very pleased with IUI but was surprised by the cold response. I appreciate Shannon taking the time to speak with me and arrange an appointment with Dr. Kuntz. Based on my communication with Shannon and the unpleasant experience this morning, my rating is now four stars. However, I hope IUI will again provide the five-star service I had come to expect, as Shannon did today. I highly recommend IUI, and I want to make it clear that Shannon gave me the patient service I had long been accustomed to. Thank you, Shannon!

Stacy Fish is wonderful. She is refreshing and always looks for solutions. I appreciate her personal approach to service. The offices are friendly. I prefer the Boise office, but I received excellent care at both.

They seem nice, but they are very difficult to reach. The last time I went, I asked them to renew my medication, but they failed to do it. My pharmacy does not accept refill requests. Also, to activate the online pharmacy portal, you have to call and wait a long time (29 callers ahead of you).
