Dr. John Greer, USA
Dr. John Greer is a versatile, board-certified urologist specializing in male infertility. He is a founding member of the Idaho Urologic Institute and Surgery Center of Idaho. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Greer graduated from Auburn University. He earned his medical degree and completed his internship and residency at Emory University.
Dr. Greer trained in male reproductive medicine and microsurgery at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in male infertility treatment, vasectomy reversal, and sperm retrieval for in vitro fertilization.
Dr. Greer specializes in vasectomy, prostate cancer, kidney stones, and erectile dysfunction. His surgical and general urology practice includes inflatable prosthesis placement and da Vinci robotic prostatectomy. He is actively involved in research at the Idaho Urologic Institute.
Dr. Greer grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to Boise in 2000 to open a practice specializing in male reproductive medicine. Outside the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, and tennis.
Dr. Greer is a member of the American Urological Association, Idaho Medical Association, Ada County Medical Society, and American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Greer has hospital privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise and Nampa; the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Boise; Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon, Idaho; West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell; and Treasure Valley Hospital.
Dr. Greer sees patients at our Meridian and Salmon clinics.
