Dr. Zaher Merhi, United States
Dr. Merhi was named a New York Magazine Top Doctor in obstetrics and gynecology and a top reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist each year from 2019 through 2024. He has received the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Star Award 4 times. He has published more than 100 manuscripts and book chapters and continues to present his research at national and international scientific meetings. He has chaired multiple committees for organizations including the NIH, ASRM, New England Fertility Society, Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI), and Endocrine Society.

Dr. Merhi is the founder and Medical Director of Rejuvenating Fertility Center (RFC). He is an internationally recognized fertility physician, lecturer, editor, and grant reviewer. His training and faculty appointments include Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York University School of Medicine, and the University of Vermont. He was a professor at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and Director of its ACGME-accredited Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellowship Program. He is currently a professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Maimonides Medical Center in New York. He holds 3 U.S. board certifications in obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and high-complexity laboratory direction (HCLD).
Dr. Merhi is an active researcher with interests in women over age 40 with low ovarian reserve, including low AMH or high FSH, stem-cell ovarian rejuvenation, mild-stimulation IVF, natural IVF, and injection-free IVF. His research also focuses on technologies such as stem-cell exosomes, ozone sauna therapy, and low-level laser therapy (LLLT) that may improve egg quality, particularly in women with endometriosis, immune disorders, and PCOS. Dr. Merhi also has extensive experience treating women who are overweight and women who have undergone bariatric surgery. He is a strong supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and has proudly served Arab and Jewish communities for more than two decades.
