Dr. Melissa Dozier is a Laramie native and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming and graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine.  She then moved to Arizona where she completed her OBGYN residency at Creighton University School of Medicine-Phoenix. She enjoys all aspects of OBGYN and is excited to care for patients through all stages of life.  

 

In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and spends time hiking, snowboarding, and scuba diving. She is happy to be back in Wyoming with her husband, son, and dog, Reece, and is looking forward to sharing in all the Wyoming adventures with her family.

I have always gone to Cheyenne Women's Clinic because it is in the main hospital building and Dr. Storey is still nearby. I love this clinic, and my new doctor, Dozier, is excellent. I have always received amazing care here. They treat patients with respect and dignity. As long as I live in Cheyenne, I will receive care here.

Dr. Beveridge happened to be on call when he delivered my baby, and I cannot imagine anyone else helping us through labor. The community consensus is that he is an amazing doctor, and he truly is. My husband and I quickly accepted induction, and I knew his decisions were always guided by my baby's best interests. We now have a healthy baby girl, and I am deeply grateful to CWC.

I have been going to Cheyenne Women's Clinic since becoming pregnant with my oldest child 8 years ago, and I absolutely love it! The front-desk staff are always helpful and friendly, the nursing staff are always kind and do everything possible to answer every question, and the doctors are outstanding—from office appointments through the delivery room. I could not ask for a better care team in my corner! 😊 Thank you to everyone at Cheyenne Women's Clinic! ❤️

The atmosphere was calm, and Jacob at the front desk greeted me warmly. I also liked the photos and varied décor around the waiting area. When I and others were called in, the nurse spoke softly but was easy to hear. I was treated well when discussing my concerns and the reason for my visit. As always, Dr. Hinkle discussed my concerns and the best way to manage the situation. She also prescribed the needed medication.

The nurses and doctors are all very friendly. They listen and do their best to help with any problem. They make you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door with a smile. You can tell them anything, and they will not judge you. I have been going there for some time and would not go anywhere else.

So far, I truly appreciate the care I have received during pregnancy. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and feel that all my questions and concerns have been addressed respectfully and compassionately. If I do not want to do something a particular way, I never feel judged or pressured. I like that appointments are scheduled with all the different doctors so you can hopefully get to know each one before delivery. My previous pregnancy care was not in Cheyenne. It was difficult to spend an entire pregnancy seeing one doctor whom you gradually trusted, only to have someone you had never met attend the delivery without considering your birth plan. I prefer some doctors here over others, but I have never had a bad experience with any of them. I am very confident that whoever ultimately attends the delivery will care for me well.

I have been seeing Bailey Montgomery, and she is wonderful. She is very helpful with my questions and always discusses treatment options. She always takes my concerns seriously but also has a lively personality. I saw Dr. Looby on 1-22. I called on short notice on 1-21, and they fit me in! The care was equally excellent, and the doctor took time to understand my medical concerns. The atmosphere is always very friendly and welcoming.

My first visit to this clinic was wonderful 😌 The receptionist, Jacob, was incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and clearly enjoys his work—and does it very well! Dr. Carter was equally excellent. Her bedside manner was wonderful; I felt that she understood my concerns, genuinely cared, and showed compassion. I was a little anxious, but she eased my nerves, explained the procedure thoroughly, and clearly outlined the next steps. I am so glad to be a new patient here!

Terrible experience. I moved here from Colorado and am now pregnant with a 15-month-old child whom I have to bring to prenatal appointments. When she cried, they were unsupportive and left me waiting to see the doctor. They charge a missed-appointment fee even if you call to cancel. The male OB-GYN asked me to describe my first delivery without reviewing any medical history. I told him I had been induced and had a C-section. He bluntly told me I needed to schedule a C-section for my second child, even though that is not what I want. There is always a long wait for bloodwork—more than 30 minutes after seeing the doctor. I do not recommend this clinic for new mothers. I will go back to Colorado for care.

Dr Looby is the best. I’m a stone cold neurotic patient and she’s always super informative and makes me feel comfortable and I NEVER feel comfortable in doctor offices. 10/10 would recommend.

If you are menopausal or perimenopausal, I would avoid Dr. Dozier at all costs. She flatly told me I was not perimenopausal even though I had nearly every symptom and experienced a hot flash right in front of her. Her answer was birth control. She then said bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) was unsafe, citing a flawed 2002 study that used synthetic rather than bioidentical hormones. She said I should never use it because I have migraine with aura. Yet she had just prescribed a more dangerous medication for someone like me. Birth control pills are synthetic hormones at high doses and are risk factors for stroke and cancer—more dangerous than low-dose BHRT. After I reminded her of the risks of birth control with migraine aura, she suggested a progestin-only pill and antidepressants. Why not address the problem instead of masking it with other medications? If you cannot find menopause support in Cheyenne, I recommend searching the Menopause Society website for a provider. Those doctors are actually trained in hormones and menopause. Other doctors, including OB-GYNs, receive only one hour of training on menopause and hormones. It is sad but true. Educate yourself and do not blindly follow a doctor's instructions. Dr. Dozier, you are still young, but menopause is also ahead of you. Please do more research and learn how to support your patients. Women's care is not only about babies and delivery. Please support women throughout their entire journey.

Everyone I met at this clinic was wonderful. Dr. Beveridge is the best doctor I have found since my previous gynecologist retired. He listens to you, whether the news is good or bad, and takes time to make you feel heard.

Dr. Carter is absolutely the best doctor I have ever seen. She is warm and funny. She delivered my daughter and provided most of my care during pregnancy and postpartum. I never felt that she dismissed anything or failed to take my views seriously. She is both humorous and knowledgeable, which is a definite bonus.

Last year, I consulted Dr. Rubi about tubal reversal surgery. He said my tubes could not physically be reversed. In June 2025, I successfully underwent a tubal reversal through another provider and am now three months pregnant. Because of this experience, and because Dr. Rubi was on call during my 2018 delivery but arrived about 30 minutes after my son was born despite being notified two hours before I reached CRMC, I decided not to use this clinic for this pregnancy.

My physician assistant was excellent and wonderful to work with. She carefully listened, examined me, and confirmed her findings before sharing her opinion. She then consulted the surgeon to confirm the best treatment plan. She was kind and easy to talk to. Dr. Bailey was also excellent.

This was my first visit, and I was deeply touched by the warm welcome from the front-desk staff, especially the young man who checked me in. He was very attentive. I asked his name but cannot quite remember it. His warm welcome and thoughtful care helped ease my nerves. The assistant was also very kind and attentive. Dr. Dozier was warm and explained the entire examination clearly and thoroughly. Everyone was friendly. I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Hinkel, receptionist Jacob, and Dr. Hinkel's medical assistant Maggie were all warm, friendly, and helpful. The wait was also short, which deserves praise. They do their best to answer questions promptly, address problems and concerns, and provide necessary medication. I have also heard that they treat patients respectfully and courteously.

Dr. Boone is highly knowledgeable and very thoughtful. He called me several times in one week to explain my test results and reassure me. He offered several treatment options for my health concerns and explained each one in detail. At every appointment, he takes time to answer my questions and address my concerns, showing how much he values and cares for his patients.

I had a very poor experience at this clinic. My husband and I are trying to conceive, so we scheduled a consultation to investigate possible fertility issues. The doctor was kind and attentive and ordered a full diagnostic workup, including blood tests. Unfortunately, the blood draw was handled very poorly and caused me considerable distress. A traumatic experience several years ago left me with a needle phobia. Before the blood draw began, I clearly told the phlebotomist about my anxiety, nausea, and fear of needles. Despite several attempts and my repeated requests for her to wait as my anxiety increased, she continued. I became distressed and raised my hand to signal her to stop. She appeared uncomfortable with my anxiety and called in a colleague, possibly a supervisor. The supervisor offered to prescribe anti-anxiety medication and have me return another day. No further needle attempt was made that day. The next morning, after taking the prescribed anti-anxiety medication, I returned with my husband and was asked to lie on a damaged exam table. The phlebotomist asked my husband to hold my legs down while she drew blood. She tried both arms but was unsuccessful. She also falsely told my husband that I had nearly hit her the previous day, which never happened. I ignored the comment and allowed her to continue. With four people in the room and two failed blood draws, the phlebotomist said she was only allowed two attempts and advised me to go to the hospital. Several blood draws at the hospital were also difficult, with slow blood flow and persistent nausea. My husband's semen analysis was also performed at the hospital. When we returned to the clinic for results a week later, the doctor mentioned hearing about the phlebotomist incident and referred to an internal email. She said the phlebotomist reported a physical altercation and that the story had circulated through the clinic. No physical altercation occurred—I was visibly anxious and distressed. This made an already difficult time more embarrassing and stressful. In addition, the clinic initially lost my husband's semen analysis results and later found them. I had called once to ask about the results and asked again at our third visit. Overall, I do not feel our case received the care, professionalism, sensitivity, or attention it deserved. Although the doctor was supportive, the blood draw, communication, and internal handling fell far short of what should be expected during such a sensitive fertility journey.

I had been having difficulties at another office, where I was not being heard and felt dismissed. I asked some women at my office where they went, and several recommended Cheyenne Women's Clinic. From my very first phone call to schedule an appointment, I felt that things were going to be okay. Dr. Looby listened, assured me that we would make a plan, and has followed through every step of the way. I always feel heard and supported by every staff member I encounter during my visits. It is simply a fantastic place to receive care.
