Dr. Hill grew up in Milan, a small town in West Tennessee. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis before moving to Nashville, Tennessee.
He completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Vanderbilt University and is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Dr. Hill is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of causes of infertility.
At Vanderbilt University, Dr. Hill developed expertise in female laparoscopic and reconstructive surgery and all aspects of assisted reproductive technology, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT), and zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT).
He served as an assistant professor at Vanderbilt University’s Center for Fertility and Reproductive Research (CFARR).
Dr. Hill founded Nashville Fertility Center in 1990 and, together with Dr. Whitworth, directed its assisted reproductive technology program from its launch in fall 1991. Along with his three colleagues, Dr. Hill was recently selected by physician peers as one of Nashville’s best doctors.
Dr. Hill received funding for endometriosis research and treatment and studied new medications for ovulation induction in IVF patients.
He served as treasurer of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He has published book chapters and journal articles on many aspects of infertility and presented research papers and lectures at conferences worldwide.
