Dr. Glenn Weitzman, United States
Glenn Weitzman, MD, earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. At graduation, he received the Laurel and Clarence H. Koenneckei Award for showing the greatest promise in gynecologic surgery.

He completed his obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Weitzman remained at Baylor for a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, receiving extensive training in microsurgery, pelvic reconstructive surgery, and assisted reproductive technology, including IVF. In 1991, he traveled to Kiel, Germany, to study with Dr. Kurt Semm, one of the “fathers” of laparoscopic surgery.
Before joining Nashville Fertility Center in 1995, Dr. Weitzman was an associate professor and director of the assisted reproductive technology program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. His research there focused on environmental toxins and their effects on reproduction.
At the university, Dr. Weitzman trained residents in the specialty and received the Red Sash Award from medical students for making an important contribution to medical education. He also taught physician courses on infertility and the surgical use of CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers.
