Dr. Meghan Smith, United States
Nashville Fertility Center is now home to Meghan Smith, MD. Although Dr. Smith is the newest member of our physician team, this Tennessee fertility physician is highly experienced in fertility care.
She joins us from a practice in Southern California. Dr. Smith believes every patient should receive a customized fertility treatment plan designed around their unique family-building goals. Along with leading fertility care, she emphasizes treating every patient with compassion and respect.

After earning a BA in chemistry from New York University, Dr. Smith received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine.
Meghan Smith, MD, completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at New York University, followed by a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
During her fellowship, our Tennessee fertility physician served as a clinical instructor at Keck School of Medicine. She valued her role in training the next generation of obstetrician-gynecologists and fertility physicians.

Dr. Smith believes research helps improve reproductive care for everyone. She is an active researcher who understands that progress from “bench to bedside” can improve outcomes for patients with infertility.
She is particularly interested in laboratory techniques to improve patient outcomes and in social media and healthcare. Her thesis focused on determining the optimal timing for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). She has published several articles in Fertility and Sterility and the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. She also serves as an ad hoc manuscript reviewer for several journals.
Dr. Smith has received several awards, including the Frank Lynch Memorial Essay from the Pacific Coast Obstetrical and Gynecological Society for her work on obstetric outcomes in gestational carrier pregnancies.
Dr. Smith is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She is also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI). Outside work, she enjoys running and has completed several marathons.
