Dr. Kristi Maas, United States
Dr. Maas says one of the most rewarding parts of her work, aside from a positive pregnancy test, is educating patients about their reproductive health and empowering them to make the right decisions for themselves.
Dr. Maas enjoys collaborating with patients, tailoring care to each case, and carefully planning treatment using her extensive experience. She takes pride in being a patient advocate and educator. Her engineering background sharpened her attention to detail, and she uses clinical data and statistics to advise patients about all available treatment options.
In her free time, Dr. Maas can be found running, hiking, or skiing on the trails with her husband and dog. She enjoys travel and experiencing new cuisines and cultures. Dr. Maas has participated in several medical missions in South America and Africa. A committed animal advocate, she has volunteered with several rescues and shelters.
Dr. Maas grew up in Wyoming and is pleased to care for patients in the Mountain West. She recalls that many people in her hometown had to travel for specialized medical services. She is therefore passionate about caring for patients in the Salt Lake Valley and rural Rocky Mountain communities. She believes all patients should have access to care regardless of location or background.
Dr. Maas earned an honors Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering in biomedical engineering from the University of Utah.
