Dr. Sanchez graduated from the University of South Florida in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended the University of Florida College of Medicine, graduating with a medical degree in 1995. From 1995 to 1999, Dr. Sanchez completed his internship and residency at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he received several honors and awards, including recognition as an outstanding laparoscopic surgeon. After residency, he completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of South Florida, where he currently serves as a collaborative associate professor.
Dr. Sanchez is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists. Dr. Sanchez remains actively involved in resident education. He is an assistant professor at Florida State University College of Medicine, an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern's physician assistant program, and a faculty member in obstetrics and gynecology at Bayfront Medical Center. He is also associate program director and head of reproductive endocrinology for the OB/GYN residency program at Brandon Regional Hospital.
Dr. Sanchez is also an active researcher and has participated in more than 120 clinical trials for pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
