Dr. Pinto is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in the subspecialty of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. In addition to extensive medical training and experience, he completed a three-year comprehensive fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Pinto moved to Dallas in July 2002 and is affiliated with Baylor University Medical Center and Baylor Regional Medical Center. His interests include treating polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), recurrent miscarriage, and advanced reproductive technologies such as IVF. He participates actively in research and has published several peer-reviewed articles. He frequently lectures and teaches on reproductive endocrinology and has received several teaching awards. Dr. Pinto is a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical School and belongs to several professional associations. His peers recently selected him as one of Dallas’s best physicians in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Pinto’s wife, Karen Pinto, MD, is a pathologist at Baylor University Medical Center. They live in Dallas with their son and daughter. Dr. Pinto enjoys fly-fishing, classical music, and playing the flute.

ReproMed Fertility Center has an excellent doctor and lovely staff who always gave me a warm welcome. Going for a consultation brought up many emotions and anxieties, but Dr. Pinto’s explanation and knowledge helped calm me and gave me the strength to trust and believe. In time, I became pregnant and delivered a healthy baby. Without a doubt, I would return if we decide to grow our family.

Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience.
I had a scheduled HCG beta test two weeks ago for Friday at 8:30 AM at the McKinney location. When my husband and I arrived after taking time off work and driving 45 minutes, the office was closed. I called twice with no answer, and only on the third attempt did someone finally respond—only to inform me that the location was closed until Wednesday. Seriously?
No prior notice, no email, no phone call—nothing to let me know the appointment couldn’t be honored. The staff member on the phone casually suggested I drive another 45 minutes to their Dallas location, or go to LabCorp (but informed I wouldn’t get same-day results). That’s completely unacceptable.
What’s even more frustrating is they had the time and courtesy to call me two days prior to confirm the appointment and review billing details, but somehow failed to mention that the clinic would be closed. If you can call to confirm payment, you can certainly inform a patient that the location won’t even be open.

From our first visit through the day we received our amazing positive confirmation, Dr. Pinto, Vicki, and the entire Repromed team were wonderful.
Dr. Pinto is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also very kind and patient. He explained every part of the process in a way that made sense to us, and his calm, reassuring manner made even the difficult moments manageable. We always felt we were in the best hands with him.
The Repromed team was equally outstanding. Vicki in particular was like a ray of light throughout our journey. She always greeted us with a bright smile and was so pleasant that every visit felt like a breath of fresh air. She was with us throughout the process, answering questions, offering encouragement, and ensuring we felt supported and cared for. Her positivity and enthusiasm made such a difference. Michelle was also extremely helpful, smoothly managing all the billing and insurance paperwork, which truly eased our burden.

They are knowledgeable, but more importantly, they were honest about what was possible and what was not.
All we needed was patience and to listen to and follow the doctor and team's advice. If we did, he could help us address the problem and succeed 100%.

This place is wonderful! Dr. Pinto is kind and listens carefully to my concerns. His team is also outstanding. Whenever I have a problem or question, I can reach Vickie by phone or email, and she responds very quickly. The female medical assistant in the office—sorry, I forgot her name—is very kind and always makes me feel welcome. The billing department stays on top of everything, and I receive cost information before every visit. There have never been surprise bills. If you want to go somewhere that treats you as more than a patient, this is the place. I was fortunate not to need IVF or IUI, but Dr. Pinto and the staff were willing to do everything possible to have my insurance cover IUI, especially when we believed it was appropriate. I never felt ignored or upset. Every issue was addressed, and I feel fortunate to have found Repromed. This place was a blessing. :)

If you are looking for a fertility doctor who truly listens, I highly recommend Dr. Pinto. I used to feel extremely anxious before every appointment; my heart would race just entering the exam room. His calm manner now puts me at ease as soon as I walk in.
He is very gentle during ultrasounds and other treatments and does his best to minimize pain. Because I know he will be careful, I no longer fear physical discomfort. I also appreciate that he is a true collaborator. If I suggest a treatment approach, he never dismisses it or uses his status as a doctor to invalidate my ideas. He values my input and never acts as though I must simply do what he says.
Beyond his kind manner, he does not rush patients directly into IVF as some doctors do; he first explores every possible option. He is patient, explains everything thoroughly, and always makes sure my husband's questions are answered as well. We feel very reassured under his care.

Dr. Pinto is one of a kind. From the first appointment, he made me feel reassured and cared for. He took the time to explain everything in detail during appointments and was also happy to speak with me by phone if I had additional questions afterward. His staff are wonderful, especially Michelle. I must have emailed her with questions every few days, and she always responded quickly, even after hours. I am now 13 weeks pregnant and am very grateful to this team!

I was a patient of Dr. Pinto earlier this year. After two miscarriages, I sought additional fertility support. Dr. Pinto was wonderful, as was everyone in his office. I recently had a daughter, and I believe his early intervention helped me maintain the pregnancy. Definitely recommended!

This is the worst doctor you will ever meet. If you want to be treated like garbage, go to this clinic. Dr. Pinto is cold, defensive, aggressive, lies whenever possible about race, and belittles Africans whenever possible. I told him my wife’s date of birth was incorrect, and he said it did not matter. He also discussed other patients’ experiences. He claimed my insurance would not cover IVF and that I had to pay cash. I paid, but this was never true; he only wanted money. I wish I could give zero stars.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. A. Pinto, clinic manager Michelle, and the entire team. From the first appointment, I felt genuinely supported and cared for. Dr. Pinto patiently explained every detail of intrauterine insemination (IUI), always ensuring I was informed and comfortable.
Michelle was kind, organized, and responsive—all my late-night emails received prompt replies. She made scheduling and communication easy, greatly reducing the stress of fertility treatment. The nurses and staff were equally outstanding—professional, warm, and considerate.
Every visit left me positive and encouraged, and I truly felt that everyone wanted me to succeed. I am very grateful for the attentive care, expert guidance, and compassion. Most movingly, before transferring my care to my OB-GYN, Dr. Pinto prayed for me and my pregnancy—exactly what I needed in that anxious moment. I highly recommend Dr. Pinto and his team to anyone on a fertility journey.

Thanks to Dr. Pinto and his excellent team, I am now 19 weeks pregnant and expecting my baby girl. Whenever I needed an appointment, the staff quickly found an opening that same week, without repeated calls or difficulty getting in. They are thoughtful and easy to communicate with. Dr. Pinto is also wonderful. He told us early on that he would be with us through every stage of the pregnancy. I am deeply grateful for the entire team’s help and highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs it.

Pros:
1. All diagnostic equipment is available in the clinic, which sped up testing and allowed me to receive results without waiting for outside facilities.
2. Scheduling was simple and convenient, and I never had difficulty getting an appointment.
3. When an overpayment was identified, the clinic promptly corrected the bill and issued a quick refund, which I appreciated.
Cons:
1. At all three visits, Dr. Pinto repeatedly called me by the wrong name. This made me feel overlooked and dismissed.
2. Even after I explained that my husband's job made it impossible, Dr. Pinto continued insisting that he attend appointments. His comments felt judgmental.
3. Visits felt rushed. At the end, Dr. Pinto would abruptly leave the room without giving me an opportunity to ask questions.
4. Billing was unclear, and I was not told that full payment was required in advance. Once I realized this, I provided the billing department with my explanation of benefits (EOB), calculated the difference, and formally requested reimbursement.
As a patient undergoing infertility treatment, I did not feel I received the attention and support I deserved. The entire experience felt transactional.

I scheduled a semen analysis for my husband a week in advance. At about 2:45 p.m. the day before the appointment, my husband said they called to cancel because the doctor had surgery. I called to confirm, and they said my husband would have to go to the Dallas clinic. I asked whether the Dallas and Tyler doctors were different, and they said no, it was the same doctor. I asked whether the doctor simply did not want to come to Tyler, and they said my husband only needed to drop off a semen sample and did not need to see the doctor. I then asked why the appointment was canceled because the doctor had surgery if my husband did not need to see him. They told me the Tyler clinic did not have equipment for semen analysis and that they did not know this when the appointment was scheduled. This made no sense. Now my husband cannot go to Dallas until next month at the earliest, and we are already on a tight timeline and urgently need this test. This week was our only available week this month, so we could have arranged to drive to Dallas, but now that is impossible.

I noticed that my previous review was deleted. I recommend staying away from this clinic. They never answer the phone, and when they do, they always make excuses. This week they said the doctor was on vacation and they were not accepting patients, but when I called a few weeks ago—after they had already issued a referral that I had to ask my primary care doctor rather than my OB-GYN to resubmit—they said they could schedule me in May.

My wife and I both received referrals to this clinic. Our insurance company confirmed that they had been sent. For some reason, the clinic received my wife’s referral but not mine, so I had to return to my doctor’s office and ask them to resend it. The clinic still ‘did not receive it.’ I called Melissa to verify the information, and it was correct. This was already my third appointment and more than $100 spent just to have the referral sent. Now, six months later, after all the effort required simply to schedule an appointment, they suddenly ‘are not accepting any referrals.’ It was a complete waste of money and time, and the entire process was unpleasant. I have heard that the doctor is good, so this is not directed at him. The problem is his poorly trained scheduling and referral staff. If they had told us when we called during the last week of February that they could not accept more patients, we would have understood. Instead, they wasted our time and money without even apologizing.

This practice is absolutely ridiculous. I called several times in one week to ask whether they had received my referral. After the third call, they stopped answering. I then called from another phone, and to my surprise, they answered immediately. I have decided not to use their services. If this is how they treat me before I am even a patient, I cannot imagine how they would treat me afterward.
Update: The first referral I called about was from my gynecologist. They began scheduling me for May, but when they realized the referral was not from my primary care physician, they said they could not schedule me and that I needed a referral from my PCP. After obtaining it, I called again and was told they were no longer accepting new patients and that I should go elsewhere.

Dr. Pinto has been wonderful since our first visit. He always made me feel comfortable, even in the most awkward situations, and patiently answered all our questions. His staff are always welcoming and knowledgeable. They, especially Michelle, respond promptly. I feel at home in their clinic. We completed one successful IVF cycle and had the sweetest baby boy, and now we are expecting our second child. Our success rate has been 100%. We are extremely pleased with Dr. Pinto and his team.
