What is a pediatrician? A pediatrician is a physician who specializes in treating childhood illnesses and promoting health. I became a doctor because I am fascinated by the human body. Everything God created is amazing, as is all that it can accomplish. However, our bodies must be properly nourished physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I became a pediatrician because children are our future. I felt I could make the greatest difference through preventive care. It is a privilege to follow children’s growth from birth to adulthood. I enjoy working with parents and helping them develop healthy habits their children can carry into adulthood.
I am honored to serve as an extension of the Divine Healer and strive to uphold that role. I always follow this principle: “I will always treat your child as I would want my own child to be treated.” The physician-patient relationship is sacred. My role is to advise you so you can decide what is best for your child. I look forward to working with you.
Dr. Bayer completed his undergraduate and medical studies at the University of Wisconsin. After medical school, he completed his pediatric residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. After finishing his residency at Vanderbilt in 1997, he began practicing with what is now Ascension Medical Group, formerly LaSalle Medical Group and Affinity Medical Group.
He served as department chair for the Fox Valley division of Affinity Health System from September 2005 to 2006. From 2005 to 2015, he was lead physician for Affinity Medical Group Appleton Pediatrics. Since 2005, he has served on the University of Wisconsin School of Health Pediatric Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Children’s Wisconsin Fox Valley Community Physician Advisory Group.

Slow, unhelpful service. Two nurses sat together doing nothing but talking. Almost no one here was available to help anyone. No one should come here.

Dr. Renaldi is amazing! He explained everything exceptionally well and was very kind. He answered every question without making me feel rushed. He clearly cares deeply about helping patients and is an expert in his field. 10/10! I highly recommend him!

Edit: I was instructed to inject progesterone into the buttock area/muscle, which caused terrible scar tissue. Several other NFP clinics I have visited since going to St. Gianna's 4 years ago have warned me how harmful this can be. Progesterone injections should be given above the buttock, not into the buttock muscle. I hope they update their instructions and information for current and future pregnant patients.

I gave this practice more than one chance because my NICU nurse recommended it, as her family owns it, and I really liked her as a nurse. But I have had enough and transferred both children to another practice. I could never reach my children's provider; they always ended up seeing Katie. Katie is wonderful to work with, but it was frustrating because Bayer was supposed to be their provider and I could never reach him. If he cannot communicate with his current patients, perhaps he should stop accepting new ones. What really upset me was calling because I was concerned my child might have RSV—something every mother of a NICU baby will understand—and it took them about a week to respond. I am glad I went elsewhere to have her examined and make sure it was not serious. I later called to say I would be about 15 minutes late for my daughter's 6-month appointment because I live an hour away. I would have been on time if the GPS had not directed me to the wrong exit. They did not check with the nurse and doctor until 15 minutes later, so I had already arrived when they told me that because half the appointment time had passed, I would have to wait or reschedule. Most doctors allow a 15-minute grace period, and honestly, every time I bring my children to an appointment here, they take us back later than the scheduled time.

We drove an hour and a half to be seen here due to so many recommendations from friends/colleagues. Well worth the drive.
Dr. Reinardy was extremely thorough and informative. He was very knowledgeable and up to date with recent studies and info released. He took the time to really explain things to us, answered every question we had, and created a manageable step-by-step course of action.
Excellent doctors can be hard to find these days, but this clinic is fantastic. The level of care provided here is unmatched!

I had an excellent experience at the Saint Gianna clinic. I arrived with a problem in my left knee and left without any pain. Best of all, Dr. Cassidy and the wonderful nurse explained the entire treatment process in detail, so I fully understood what to expect.

I scheduled an appointment for insomnia, which worsens my anxiety and depression. Dr. Katie Daniels was wonderful. She is an excellent listener, showed great empathy, shared her faith, and prayed for me. She offered several treatment options, and I will return if my condition does not improve. Many thanks to Dr. Katie and the Saint Gianna clinic. This is an excellent practice.

I absolutely love Dr. Cassidy and have been seeing him for five years. He is approachable, very thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate, and always identifies the root cause of the problem. The nurses at this clinic are also wonderful and always warm and friendly 😊 I am so glad I changed clinics and found him instead of going "abroad," as I had previously been advised.

The physicians and nurse practitioners are kind and highly knowledgeable about health across pediatrics, fertility, pregnancy, and other areas. I came to St. Gianna's expecting high-quality care and to feel understood and seen, both literally and figuratively. Instead, after waiting months to see Dr. Guevara, I experienced countless appointment cancellations, was sent to the wrong ultrasound clinic, had my bloodwork order mishandled, and received no proactive follow-up after my bloodwork and ultrasound results arrived. I had to call repeatedly for my laboratory and ultrasound results, only to be transferred each time to a nurse who always seemed to find a way to end the call without providing any answers. I would rate the physicians and nurse practitioners 8 out of 10, but the front desk staff and nurses only 2 out of 10. At times, they lacked empathy and provided inaccurate information. Staff have even confused me with other patients in the clinic. Communication is poor, and calls placed before closing often receive no timely response.

Our whole family loves this clinic. We transferred everyone here after feeling overlooked and treated like a number at Prevea and Bellin. I appreciate how much time the providers spend talking with us. This is what health care should be.

Dr. Guevara and her entire staff are very knowledgeable and professional. I am glad I changed gynecologists. She is not only highly skilled but also willing to listen to my complex medical history. They always respond quickly to any questions I have. Even more reassuring, she shares my faith-based values.

Katie was wonderful. She was very patient with my energetic toddlers, who repeatedly asked why, and carefully explained each test and what she was examining. She answered all my questions and concerns, and I left feeling very reassured about my children's health.

would NOT recommend this clinic to anyone - especially expecting working mothers. My initial appointment with them has been rescheduled last minute twice all within 10 mins of when my appointment was supposed to be. I have had to take off extra days at work due to their poor planning. They should not be able to accept new patients as their excuse is they always have emergencies and never enough doctors. I am very behind on my prenatal care, stressed dealing with this clinic, and am seeking care elsewhere. Doesn’t seem like they have their patient’s best interest at heart.

Dr. Bayer is very kind, nonjudgmental, and a good listener. He always explains conditions thoroughly in language children can understand and never seems rushed. We moved away from the area, but despite having many pediatricians nearby, we chose to remain his patients. I also appreciate the clinic's faith-based approach. I highly recommend him.
