Biography
Dr. George Attia is the Associate Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and an Associate Professor of Clinical at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Attia is a long-time expert in the field of Reproductive Medicine. Before taking charge of UHealth’s Reproductive and Fertility Center he was the In-Vitro Fertilization Director at the University of Texas.
He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and his Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Infertility and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (F.A.C.O.G.).
His career advice has been sought by various media outlets and his work has been published in multiple media journals. He is the recipient of the 2012-2019 Castel Connolly’s Top Doctor Award, 2010-2019 Patient’s Choice Award, 2010-2019 Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award, and the 2014 Top Ten Doctors Award.
Dr. Attia has been the author of several scientific publications in the field of reproductive endocrinology and fertility, and served as senior investigator in many clinical trials. He has been guest speaker to numerous national and international fertility conferences; he is recognized as one of the top educators in the field of fertility. Dr. Attia strives to provide his patients with the most comprehensive, individualized, innovative and affordable fertility treatments.

I have never written a review, let alone a negative one. But after experiencing firsthand and fully understanding the difficult process people seeking infertility care endure, I decided to share my experience at this clinic. Honestly, I feel cheated. They transferred my only embryo on day 3, before it had developed into a blastocyst. I went home after the transfer in November 2024. To this day, no one has contacted me to ask what happened. I am leaving this message because I know how painful and expensive this treatment is for us. Congratulations to those who succeeded and had a good experience.

I highly recommend fertility treatment at UHealth! I became pregnant on my first IVF attempt. I worked with Dr. Patrizio, who was very candid and knowledgeable. The nurses, ultrasound technicians, and staff were all wonderful and very attentive. The facility is also new and state-of-the-art.

I highly recommend UHealth Fertility! This clinic was excellent from the start. The entire process went smoothly, and I could not have asked for a better experience. Dr. Attia was very knowledgeable and ensured my partner and I understood everything throughout. The ultrasound technician was one of the kindest people I have met. She took time to explain in detail what we were seeing and the purpose of each test, making us feel very comfortable and reassured.
Special thanks to receptionist Daniela, the heart of this clinic! From day one, her joy and enthusiasm made us feel welcomed and supported. Her engagement and passion show how much she loves her work, and that made our treatment journey special. I will not forget the phlebotomist either; her encouraging words and positive energy made every visit better!
I will definitely return to this clinic. Its warm, supportive environment was exactly what I needed and prayed for. If you are seeking a fertility clinic that truly cares, UHealth Fertility is the place to go! 1000/10!

The doctor, several nurses, and one ultrasound technician were good. Everyone else at the clinic was unprofessional and extremely rude. It felt more like a factory and money-making operation than a clinic helping people through infertility. There was no compassion for patients.

Thanks to Dr. Attia’s exceptional care, I have such an adorable son! Thank God! After recurrent miscarriages, this clinic was a blessing for my husband and me. My only embryo survived! One was enough ♥️

Can't thank Dr. patrizio, Nasmi and the staff enough. Just graduated from my IVF process and have nothing but good things to say about them. Operations run smoothly, they were late once in 7 seven months with many appts in one month. Nurses work with you to find affordable medicine through local pharmacies. Lastly and most importantly, the subject matter expertise is palpable and they treat patients like families not just numbers. So fortunate to have found this team!! Thank you for helping me get pregnant :) huge fan of you guys

I was very disappointed with my experience at this clinic.
I underwent two intrauterine inseminations (IUIs) and was encouraged to pursue a third without first receiving the necessary diagnostic testing, particularly a saline ultrasound to evaluate the uterine cavity.
Because treatment was not progressing, I sought a second opinion at another clinic. There, I was diagnosed with two uterine polyps, which have now been removed. This is deeply concerning because the polyps may have directly affected the success of the treatments I received.
It is troubling that such a basic, standard evaluation was not completed before fertility treatment began. This caused unnecessary procedures, emotional stress, and financial burden.
I strongly encourage future patients to ensure all necessary diagnostic testing has been completed before receiving treatment at this clinic.

Being seen on time is very important to me. I arrive on time because I respect other people's schedules and expect the same respect in return.
My appointment was at 9:45 a.m., but I was still waiting at 10:30. I understand that delays can happen, but waiting 45 minutes without any clear communication was very frustrating and made the entire visit feel poorly managed.

Although scheduling was convenient, the visit itself was disappointing.
The check-in process made me uncomfortable from the start. I did not know how to enter the office, so I rang the doorbell for help. The staff member who came to assist seemed impatient, even though I was simply trying to understand how to get in. If the staff recognized that patients may have difficulty entering the office, a warmer and more considerate approach would greatly improve the first impression.
My communication with Dr. Attia was also disappointing. Fertility treatment involves highly personal, emotional, and invasive procedures, including discussions about intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Patients seeking this type of treatment are often anxious. I felt that Dr. Attia spoke quickly, was sometimes difficult to understand, and did not allow enough time for questions or create a relaxed atmosphere for discussion. I wish he had taken a calmer, more patient-centered approach that made me feel like an individual rather than just another appointment on a busy schedule.
The checkout process was equally frustrating. The staff member assisting me focused on verifying my surname against my driver’s license, making it seem that ensuring the information was correct mattered more than actually helping the patient. Although accuracy is important, the tone of the conversation felt cold and uncaring.
Overall, infertility patients often face tremendous stress, uncertainty, and complex emotions surrounding their ability to conceive. Empathetic communication from clinical and administrative staff is just as important as the medical care itself. Unfortunately, that empathy was missing from several interactions during my visit.

It is not easy to write a negative review of a doctor or medical facility, but UHealth staff acted unprofessionally on several occasions. First, they directed me to the wrong location and made me travel back and forth between downtown and Doral, which was extremely frustrating. Second, they lost my urine sample and blamed the laboratory, so I never learned which bacteria caused my infection. At my final visit with Dr. Attia, he did not discuss my ultrasound results and simply said he was busy and had many patients, even though I was also his patient and arrived on time. Finally, I have spent months trying to obtain my images from radiology, but no one knows how to send them by email. I hope I never have to return. They care only about selling expensive IVF treatment.

I am writing this review for women aged 45 and older. The women who performed the tests were wonderful. Maria and Diana assisted me, and both were very positive, welcoming, and supportive. Ms. Rodriguez was also wonderful and stayed with me throughout. Dr. Attia was kind, but his views on age and complications are conservative. He does not recommend IVF for women over 45. The clinic provides good testing services, and these women are lovely. However, if age is a factor for you, I suggest considering another doctor and not focusing only on money. Dr. Attia said he would rather not take my money or use my insurance because of my age. Please do not give up; everything is in God's hands. I feel that I look like I am in my thirties! Thank you to all the women for your work. Women's strength is essential here. We know our bodies.

I am writing to thank all the medical staff, beginning with the front desk, for their attentive care. The process can be long, but trust and patience are essential. My child was born today, and I truly felt that they genuinely wanted this to happen. The nurses always answered my questions carefully through the chat system. The ultrasound technicians, nurses, and doctors were excellent. I never received extra bills; instead, they always helped with costs and saved me a great deal. I have so much to be grateful for. They did their part, I did mine, and together we welcomed my little Liam in 2025/6.
One suggestion: if you are at this stage, avoid anything harmful to your body. Download the Yuka app and you will understand why treatment sometimes fails. Our bodies are contaminated with heavy metals. Doctors will do everything they can, and you should help throughout the process.
Finally, doctor, thank you so much for everything. My child is precious, and having this miracle at age 41 is thanks to you and your entire team. 🙏🏼

Update: I became pregnant three months after my first review 🥰 Everyone is wonderful and always helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Attia. I am speechless.
Original: Words cannot express how wonderful Dr. Attia is. I had my consultation yesterday. He was kind, thoughtful, funny, and simply amazing. He is also very confident, which I love and which patients need.
He is the first doctor who has made me this happy.
I have a long road ahead, but I feel incredibly fortunate to have a doctor like him. I will update this review as my journey progresses, though I know I will only add more positive comments.
Do not keep everyone waiting; it is time to experience his care yourself!
Also, all the staff are warm, friendly, and wonderful. I was very nervous and now cannot wait to return in a few days.

I am sorry to say this, but it was the worst doctor’s appointment I have ever had. Why? Because the doctor did nothing. I had many hormone-related concerns and was in the middle of an IVF cycle, yet he did not ask about my supplements or try to understand why I was taking my medications. He did not review all my blood results or request repeat testing. He told me my iron was so low that I could barely function, but said it was fine and would not affect a child 😵💫. He basically just told me to stay healthy. Really? I am physically fit, but I came because I constantly feel unwell. Now I want to contact billing because why should I pay for this? Of course, they do not answer. Is this our new normal—doctors who do not care about our health?

We are extremely grateful to the entire medical team for caring for us throughout the process. The staff were very kind and continually monitored our progress. Today I have a beautiful daughter and 11 embryos stored for future children. Words cannot express my gratitude to this excellent team. Everyone—from reception, nurses, and doctors to Sandra in finance—contributed to making this dream possible. We live 7 hours from Miami, and I owe them a visit so they can meet my sweet little Bianca, who is with us today thanks to God and all of them. I advise prospective parents going through this process to follow every instruction carefully, because success is absolutely possible 💪💪💪

After a terrible visit with Dr. Attia, I called the billing department for a refund because the doctor did and said essentially nothing, and I had to see another physician afterward. They said they would refund me. Do you think they did? Of course not! Worse, no one answers when you complain, but when payment is due, they call promptly at 8 a.m.!
