Dr. Pam Jordi, United States
Dr. Pamela Jordi felt an "inner calling" when she decided to explore reproductive healthcare. She enjoyed her obstetrics and gynecology rotation during her third year of medical school and developed a strong passion for the specialty. She values "the opportunity to connect with people at every stage of life and address all of their needs."
She developed this passion during a month at the Institute for Latin American Concern in the Dominican Republic, where she provided healthcare at a local hospital and free clinic. She also volunteered at a free women's health clinic in Omaha and provided testing and education to inmates at the Douglas County Correctional Center. Her most valuable experience, however, came from two healthy pregnancies and raising two boys.
"I now have a greater appreciation and respect for the birth process and for the overwhelming desire mothers and parents have for a healthy outcome."
Dr. Jordi was drawn to Clinic Sofia by its patient-centered, personalized approach. She enjoys early pregnancy assessment, surgical management, and serving as a resource. In essence, she enjoys "everything" and appreciates Clinic Sofia's family-like atmosphere.
Dr. Jordi was born and raised in Centerville, Minnesota. After graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in biology and a minor in Spanish, she moved to Omaha. Dr. Jordi graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine, where she completed the Healer's Art course and received a dean's scholarship. She completed her residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
She later moved home to be closer to her family, noting that "Minnesota's nature and lakes offer unmatched serenity and beauty." She continues to enjoy all water-related activities, including water-skiing, swimming, ice-skating, and scuba diving, as well as spending time with her family and dog, Bailey. She often explores local restaurants with her husband and sons and spends time at the family cabin.
