After serving for six years as Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Dr. Parry opened his own fertility clinic. Positive Steps Fertility helps build families in Mississippi and surrounding areas through the personal, compassionate, and effective care for which he was known at the university.
Dr. Parry is also the inventor of the Parryscope® technology and method, a breakthrough fertility test that provides an accurate, gentle, and rapid assessment of three key factors in female fertility in a single visit. The Parryscope fertility test replaces the often painful HSG test and provides more comprehensive insight.
“Fertility testing often takes a long time and does not provide clear answers,” Dr. Parry says. “We needed something that could provide results quickly without causing harm while remaining accurate and safe.”
His interest in women’s health dates to his time at Cornell University in the 1980s, when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and faced uncertainty and confusion during treatment. He wanted to help ensure that other families would not face the same challenges. “Being knowledgeable and achieving good outcomes matters, but people also need clear explanations and want to know that you care before they care how much you know.”

I’m not sure where to begin. My husband and I began our IVF journey in August 2024 at 28 years old. It has been a VERY emotional and joyous adventure. After hormone injections, egg retrieval, and transfer we are successfully pregnant after our 1st cycle. As of March 20th 2025, we are 9w5d and have graduated from Positive Steps Fertility! It only took 7 months from start to graduation. The Gulfport / Madison crews have been there through the entire process whether it was a shoulder to cry on or simply needing reassurance that everything is going smoothly according to schedule. We could not have asked for a better team in helping our dreams come true. Thank you with all of our hearts! ❤️

Dr. Parry and his team at Positive Steps became family to us! It is hard to believe we felt sad leaving after graduating with a healthy pregnancy, but they make you feel so loved and supported through the hardest journey. We had a Parryscope in January 2024, and a year later found out our little miracle had arrived! Dr. Parry guided our decisions, and he, his nurses, and nurse practitioners made IVF feel less overwhelming. They walked us through every step, never made us feel foolish for asking a million questions, and supported and cared for us through every high and low. We were fortunate to work with the Madison and Shreveport teams, and I am deeply grateful. Everyone at Positive Steps makes you feel like their only patient and wants you to have your dream baby as much as you do!

Everyone at the Madison clinic is among the sweetest people I have ever met, including Dr. Parry himself! You can tell they genuinely want to do everything possible to help you through your TTC journey. I finally completed my first scope and was terrified, but the wonderful nurses and staff made the experience much better and effortless. My husband and I have faced infertility for more than a year and a half, and I finally feel we have a chance to conceive, all because Dr. Parry is actively helping us. We chose IUI, and I believe we will receive the best care at the Madison clinic. I am truly grateful to be a patient at such an excellent clinic! ❤️

I would give this place 20 stars if I could! It is wonderful. I have struggled with infertility for years and visited different places, but this is the only one that truly cares about patients and understands how difficult infertility is.
I scheduled an examination and asked the doctor whether I could bring my child. He said of course. Other places had always refused, which was very difficult because we have no one nearby to care for our child.
Every nurse I met was kind, tried to make me comfortable, and explained everything.
I had the opportunity to meet Vicky and Lauren, and both were wonderful.
Lauren called before the appointment and spent nearly an hour ensuring she collected all the necessary information. She was very patient and asked almost every possible question to fully understand my concerns.
Vicky was very kind, did her best to make me comfortable, answered all our questions, and kept smiling, which helped me remain calm during the exam.
Dr. Parry is very intelligent. He performed a thorough evaluation, explained everything in detail, and discussed our options. The scope was simple and quick.
I highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work, and thank you for caring for us. We will definitely return and begin our journey with you.

It is difficult to express how much Dr. Parry and his team helped my husband and me. We received care for 3 years at a fertility clinic in Mobile, Alabama, but made no progress there. We decided to transfer our care to Positive Steps, where we were treated with great kindness and received excellent communication from the treatment team. Under Dr. Parry's care, we became pregnant within three months. Our daughter was recently born, and we are very grateful for all the help from Positive Steps.

I previously went to another fertility clinic, where I was misdiagnosed and left feeling discouraged and ignored. The care there was inadequate, and I lost much of my hope. Everything changed when I found Dr. Parry at Positive Steps Fertility.
From the first visit, Dr. Parry listened carefully, explained everything clearly, and made me feel that I finally had answers. The care, compassion, and professionalism shown by him and his entire team were incredible.
For the first time in a long while, I feel hopeful again and ready to complete the process, knowing I have the right support behind me. I highly recommend Positive Steps.

If you have the money, they will try to help you succeed. But they are definitely a for-profit organization. They say they want to help, but their fees are far higher than many places offering the same results. You pay extra for unnecessary extras and cosmetic touches while receiving infertility treatment here.
They charged us $2500 just for a ‘Parryscope’... Further research showed the same procedure costs only $500 elsewhere... I went abroad for IVF, where a scope showed only one blocked fallopian tube. Parry said both were blocked... His procedure also caused additional damage, as confirmed by a group of internationally recognized doctors. The Madison team also told me I had polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)... I do not!
There is clearly a reason for the negative reviews here.
In any case, I wish everyone trying to conceive the very best, whether at this facility or elsewhere. Good luck and wishing you a healthy baby ✨️✨️✨️

This place was a blessing for my husband and me. We are from Texas, where we had been trying to conceive for more than five years. I was told I had polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a tilted uterus, cysts, and only a 0.01% chance of becoming pregnant. We came to Mississippi for work and happened to find this fertility clinic. What attracted me was the Parryscope. Looking inside my reproductive system and finally finding the root cause seemed like the only answer, and I did get an answer. I had none of the problems other doctors had diagnosed. My issue was cervical stenosis, making it difficult for sperm to pass through. After opening the cervix, we proceeded directly with intrauterine insemination because we felt we had already waited and tried for too long. I am now 18 weeks pregnant, and we are expecting a baby boy on January 20. If we had not found Positive Steps, we would still believe something was wrong with us. We owe our family to them. Thank you to everyone at the clinic for giving us hope and confidence. We cannot wait to meet our son. Thank you all.

When people think of fertility clinics, they often think of success stories. Ours is not one of them.
After nearly four years under Dr. Parry's care, we ultimately did not achieve the outcome we had hoped for. Even so, choosing Positive Steps Fertility was one of the best decisions we made during our fertility journey.
Dr. Parry never treated us like a number, a statistic, or a dollar sign. He stood by us through every test, treatment, disappointment, emergency surgery, and difficult decision, supporting us with empathy, honesty, and genuine care. He always answered our questions patiently and made sure we felt cared for.
What moved us most was that his care was never tied to the final outcome. Even when he knew we would not be able to have children, his commitment to us never changed. We always felt seen, heard, and cared for.
Although our fertility journey did not end as we had hoped, I will always be grateful to Dr. Parry and every member of the Positive Steps team. If you are looking for a doctor who will truly stand by you through infertility, I highly recommend him.

Throughout my journey, it was hard not to dwell on the word “failure.” But my experience changed how I view that word. Do you get promoted every year you work? No. Does that mean every year was a failure? Absolutely not. Each year, you work toward something—a promotion, caring for parents, building a home, and so on. It is not failure, just a step toward success. There are always steps and goals to set and achieve. Michael Jordan played professional basketball for 15 years and won championships in six. Would you call the other nine years failures? Absolutely not. There is no failure. There are good days and bad days. Some days are yours, others belong to someone else. You may not win a championship every year, but you take a step toward your goal for the next. There is no failure. Dr. Parry and his staff deeply care about every patient who enters the clinic and help you take those steps toward your goal.

I moved to Louisiana two years ago, and my husband and I immediately began searching for a fertility clinic that would be a better fit for us and our family. My experience at this IVF clinic was very disappointing. We started treatment here last year. After reviewing our medical history, we felt hopeful and believed our chances of success were high. They insisted on PGT, so we tested four embryos. Although the results were normal, all four transfers failed to produce a pregnancy. The medication protocol was never changed, and no different approach was tried. This treatment was extremely expensive. We struggled to raise more than $20,000, and it feels like the money was wasted. Overall, I would not recommend this clinic because of its one-size-fits-all approach.

4 years TTC. Three different OBs could not find the problem. Six failed rounds of Clomid/letrozole. Then we met our favorite OB and lifesaver, Dr. Berken, who found the issue that three doctors had overlooked, corrected it with surgery, and referred us to Dr. Parry at Positive Steps Fertility for further testing. Dr. Parry and Sarah found several other potential issues. We attempted one IUI, but I did not respond to the medication. After multiple procedures and many moments of losing hope and breaking down, we decided to proceed directly to IVF and had the best, most positive experience. On February 27, 2023, Dr. Parry transferred 1 of our 3 embryos, and we are now nearly 11 weeks pregnant with our first! We could not be more grateful, blessed, and excited. We are fortunate to have been referred to such an excellent team of nurses and doctors. Graduating back to our OB was a sad day, but we cannot wait to visit with our baby in November! Thank you to Dr. Parry and the Positive Steps team for everything! We will be back ❤️

After a frozen embryo transfer at an out-of-state clinic, I came here at 9 weeks pregnant for routine external monitoring and had a frightening, heartbreaking experience. Brittany Linton NP began the ultrasound and told me something was wrong. She then video-called Dr. Parry, who was apparently out of state, and he told me I had miscarried. I was shocked and devastated.
Two weeks later, after showing no signs of miscarriage, I saw my obstetrician and learned that my baby was completely fine.
My embryo transfer doctor told me: 1) had this occurred earlier in pregnancy, Ms. Linton and Dr. Parry's instruction to stop hormonal support could actually have caused a miscarriage; and 2) “no competent doctor would make this mistake at 9 weeks.” After consulting several obstetricians and radiologists, they all considered Ms. Linton and Dr. Parry extremely incompetent and careless. They failed to recognize that they were scanning another structure in my uterus and completely missed my living, healthy baby.
Needless to say, I am grateful my baby is alive and healthy, but I would not wish the entirely unnecessary grief, pain, and anxiety that Dr. Parry and Ms. Linton caused my family on my worst enemy.
This clinic is a rude, incompetent money-making operation. IVF is difficult enough without people like this.
Edited to add: It is also shocking that this doctor took the time to write a long, rambling response to this Google review but did not bother to contact me directly or respond when my doctor tried to discuss this serious negligence with him. In his response, he casually suggested that I seek a second opinion, yet he never told me that. This man cares only about protecting his business. Disgusting.

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Positive Steps Fertility in Shreveport. After trying to conceive naturally and using local resources for several years, we received treatment at Positive Steps for less than a year. Within that time, we became pregnant through intrauterine insemination (IUI) and medication—my biggest regret is not coming here sooner.
Before choosing Positive Steps, we spent far too much time and energy elsewhere. From the moment we became patients, we felt reassured, cared for, and genuinely supported.
Our primary provider was Amanda, a nurse practitioner, and we cannot praise her enough. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive, and made us feel heard at every step of treatment. Brittany and Jeri from our care team were also wonderful—encouraging, responsive, and kind at every appointment and with every question. The front desk staff, Brandi and Caroline, were equally outstanding. They always answered every question patiently and kindly, and knew us by name by our second visit.
The saddest part of this journey was ‘graduating’ from Positive Steps, because it meant saying goodbye to such an amazing team. We are now expecting two sweet baby boys, Parker and Preston, who will always know about the wonderful people who helped bring them into the world.
We highly recommend Positive Steps and would refer anyone to them without hesitation. We are incredibly grateful for every step that brought us here—we only wish we had come sooner.

I suggest sitting down and reading this review carefully. Let us go back to 2022. After several rounds of Clomid and letrozole, I was referred to Dr. Parry, who was said to be highly skilled. Dr. Parry and his team performed a Parryscope and said both my fallopian tubes were completely blocked. He recommended skipping IUI and proceeding directly to IVF. I wanted mini-IVF, but he rejected my request because he said I would not produce enough embryos. Because of the blocked tubes and cost, I went to another doctor in Dallas for IVF. Incidentally, I produced six beautiful embryos. Fast-forward to February 24, 2026. After three failed IVF cycles, no hope, and two remaining embryos I did not yet want to use, I wanted one final attempt to see whether I could conceive naturally. I pleaded with every doctor to recheck my tubes and look for other issues until I finally found one willing to do so. My tubes were not blocked at all! I was stunned. Dr. Parry's supposedly remarkable ‘Parryscope’ had convinced me that this was a new approach to fertility treatment and management. What a joke. For years I trusted him and his team and believed my tubes were blocked and IVF was necessary. I wasted so much money on IVF I never needed. I regret seeing Dr. Parry and spending money on his ridiculous Parryscope. I lost so much time because I relied on a system that was flawed from the start. Do not go to this clinic or this doctor. Think twice and go elsewhere. Absolutely not recommended!

Just 7 months ago, we were diagnosed with MFI, and everything felt so uncertain. From the very start, Positive Steps welcomed us with open arms. Not once did they make us feel like this wasn’t possible, they truly believed we would have our baby.
Fast forward to February 2nd, we began our first IUI cycle with only 3.6 million sperm and 60% motility. Two weeks later… we got our positive. Our miracle baby 🤍
Yesterday, we graduated from Positive Steps, and I am now 10 weeks pregnant with our sweet baby. It’s such a bittersweet moment because I will miss them so much.
This post isn’t just to praise their incredible facility,every single staff member is kind, supportive, and makes you feel truly cared for every step of the way. It’s also for anyone out there holding onto even the smallest bit of hope…

My only regret is not going to Positive Steps sooner. I spent nearly two years at another clinic in town, and my condition only worsened until I finally decided to switch. Amanda identified the cause of our infertility within a month and provided treatment, and now I am 10 weeks pregnant.
I had been told that Positive Steps might be more expensive, but in reality, their diagnostic tests and intrauterine insemination (IUI) costs are the same as other clinics, and all the staff have been very friendly to me.
I am extremely grateful to everyone at Positive Steps, and I would recommend them to anyone struggling with infertility.
