John S. Rinehart, MD, PhD, JD, is chief medical officer of Rinehart Fertility Center, with locations in Oak Lawn and Hinsdale.

For the past 40 years, Dr. John S. Rinehart has maintained an exclusive infertility and reproductive endocrinology practice in the Chicago area. He combines academic training with extensive clinical experience to provide high-quality medical care.

He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and his reproductive endocrinology fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Rinehart is a senior attending physician at NorthShore University HealthSystem and a senior clinical educator at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

Dr. Rinehart has been board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology since 1985 and in reproductive endocrinology since 1988. In 2002, he earned a law degree specializing in health law from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. In 2018, Dr. Rinehart earned a master’s degree in predictive analytics from Northwestern University School of Professional Studies.

    I really like this doctor. He is easy to talk to and personable, and he seems very knowledgeable. I had an issue that had bothered me for months and had seen several doctors who could not help. He was able to give me some answers. He is also very honest and not the type to persuade patients to undergo unnecessary surgery or treatment. This fertility center also uses an excellent online system and has great forms, so you can explain any issues before your appointment and save time.
