I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gerkowicz! She is amazing and made the entire experience better. When we met on my 41st birthday, I immediately felt hopeful but grounded. When they say, “Do it once, do it right,” they mean it. The team was extremely thorough and proactive, checking everything before any challenges could arise. Our main issue was male-factor infertility, and although I was a little older, I was fortunate to have a high ovarian reserve. I underwent one retrieval and one transfer, and one month before my 43rd birthday, I was incredibly fortunate to welcome a beautiful, healthy baby boy! They would not proceed unless all my bloodwork and test results were ideal, which meant the process took time—about 9 months from my first consultation to retrieval, then another 5 months until my transfer. I followed their recommendations closely, including taking many supplements and maintaining a strict low-inflammatory diet to improve egg quality and the chance of implantation. I wanted to ensure I did everything possible, especially given the costs involved. My insurance covered infertility consultations and initial testing, but I ultimately paid for treatment out of pocket. The total cost, including medications, tests, and procedures, was approximately $50,000. The clinic has several locations. All were clean, with kind and friendly staff. I was able to work around my job, including business travel. Overall, I had a very positive experience and highly recommend them.

Worst clinic ever! Stay away. They treat you like a number, not a person. They never honor appointment times; every time we went, we waited two hours. You never see your doctor—mine was Dr. Gerkowicz. Every visit was handled by nurses. If you have a question for the doctor, good luck: she never calls, and you must schedule a paid appointment about three weeks later. They do not want to use your insurance and force you to use laboratories and pharmacies outside your network, so what is the point of having insurance and paying so much? To them, you are a cash cow! Their IUIs are not performed by doctors either; the doctor seems to do nothing. They mishandled my bloodwork. I had blood drawn at their clinic, and half of it spoiled because they waited too long to send it for testing. The laboratory itself told me the samples arrived clotted because of the delay. Of course, I had to repeat everything, and this time I went directly to Quest. The doctor’s nurse had a poor attitude, as did many staff members. They act extremely entitled and genuinely do not care. Whenever we waited more than an hour, we met other patients in the lobby who complained of similar experiences. I once had a long conversation with the office manager because it had become ridiculous. I also underwent an IUI that sent me to the emergency room because of severe pain afterward. As mentioned, doctors do not perform it. When I complained to the doctor, she essentially said, “The nurses are trained for this and do millions every day.” So I wondered what the doctor did there. They also try to pressure you into unnecessary tests. All the additional tests are performed by outside laboratories and cost a great deal because insurance does not cover them and standard laboratories do not offer them. Above all, stay away. This is a terrible clinic, and they truly do not care. Needless to say, we switched clinics when another network clinic finally opened near us. IVF and the fertility journey are already extremely difficult; you do not need a clinic that makes the journey worse. A terrible, terrible, terrible experience. I almost forgot their insurance billing: they overbilled for services you never received. More than once, I had to notify my insurer to investigate and correct charges for services that were not performed. Stay away.

I do not recommend this clinic. Do not do what they tell you to do.

Adriana Ballestas was outstanding during my first consultation. They would tell me whether I could become pregnant at my age, which reassured me. She handled everything very professionally and is a wonderful person. Even everyone at the front desk was very professional. My 5 stars.

Everyone from the front desk to the clinical team was wonderful. Adriana made today feel amazing and gave my husband and me hope. We understand nothing is guaranteed, but she made us feel wonderful in every way. We look forward to this experience with IVFMD.

Adriana is simply amazing! She took excellent care of us, ensured we understood the entire process, gathered every possible detail to build our profile, and, most importantly, was very patient, informative, and engaging. We recommend Adriana's services 1000%.

I do not know how good this clinic's communication is, but it does not seem good. I am a patient, and when I called about my computer, nurse Nancy had a poor attitude and kept asking what I needed, when she was the one who needed to provide information. She repeatedly asked whether I was a doctor or worked there, in an unfriendly and unhelpful tone. She was rude, and I do not understand why they act this way. As patients, we have already been through a lot and pay a great deal for treatment. At minimum, we deserve respect and compassion. I am now afraid to continue treatment here because I do not know how it will turn out. Very sad 😞

Dr. Wood and her team are absolutely amazing. If you want a highly capable, caring, and passionate team to guide your fertility journey, look no further!

Avoid this place like the plague. 3 different people will tell you 3 different things and quote 3 different amounts. They charge for procedures that were not performed, refuse to work with insurance, and mislead you throughout. 0 stars.

I sincerely thank Dr. Gelman and the entire medical staff for their attentive care. Dr. Gelman's expertise, compassion, and calm manner made an enormous difference during treatment. The whole team was kind and supportive and always made me feel safe and well cared for. I am deeply grateful for everything you did for me.

First, I want to say that I greatly respect Dr. Wood's work and understand how demanding fertility care can be for both providers and patients. I genuinely believe she cares about patient outcomes and wants the best results for them. That said, I feel it is important to share several errors I experienced as a patient, mainly involving the nursing and administrative staff. These caused avoidable emotional stress and treatment delays. Although I do not blame Dr. Wood directly, the overall coordination and communication within her team made it difficult for me to feel comfortable continuing care. She worked with me on a comprehensive evaluation and endometriosis ablation, so writing this makes me sad. The following summarizes the recurring issues I experienced: 1. Incomplete diagnostic workup • I had previously asked why a complete male fertility evaluation had not been ordered for my husband, but my request was ultimately dismissed. The new clinic we are now working with is performing that same evaluation. • An important Ureaplasma test, for a bacterial infection we had previously tested positive for, was overlooked until I raised the issue. • Follow-up on immunology test results was delayed. I had an appointment with Dr. Wood, but the results were still unavailable, delaying our treatment timeline by nearly a month. 2. Logistical and scheduling errors • Despite being an out-of-state patient, I was mistakenly scheduled for an in-person visit, creating unnecessary difficulty. I had waited a month for that appointment. 3. Prescription coordination problems • The first letrozole prescription contained only 5 tablets instead of 10, requiring follow-up. • The prescription for the second cycle was submitted in a form not covered by insurance, forcing me to communicate repeatedly with the coordinator over the weekend. To avoid an unnecessary charge of more than $100, the prescription had to be resubmitted in its original form. 4. Unclear medication cycle and testing • A nurse was unsure which letrozole cycle I was on, causing confusion over hormone testing for HCG, progesterone, and estradiol. Just two days later, these tests were mistakenly repeated during CD3 monitoring. 5. Lab order errors • Although I explained that Labcorp was easier for me to access while traveling, a Quest order was submitted, and the Quest order included only bloodwork, not follicular monitoring. 6. Mishandling of time-sensitive monitoring • On a day when timely results were expected, I received no follow-up before the IVFMD phone line and portal closed. This affected the timing of my trigger injection. I had to escalate the issue myself to the outside monitoring clinic and the on-call nurse, who could not access the fax or confirm receipt of the results. Fortunately, I obtained the necessary information in time, but only because I persisted. 7. Unnecessary medication • After seeking a second opinion, I learned that I had been prescribed Lovenox, an injectable blood thinner, without a clear medical indication. These repeated problems not only delayed my care but also undermined my trust in the quality and consistency of the support I was receiving. Ultimately, I made the difficult decision to leave the clinic and seek treatment elsewhere. I hope this feedback is received as intended: constructively and with the goal of improving communication and coordination for future patients. Fertility treatment is stressful enough without the added burden of administrative errors.

My wife and I attended the free second opinion advertised on their website. Although we qualified, we were forced to pay. After paying, I received harassing calls from a collection agency for months. The agency confirmed I had been sent to collections by mistake because I had paid, yet my account had still not been cleared when I wrote this review. Worst of all, the employee who forced us to pay, Ashely, was rude and had no customer-service skills. Another employee, Andrea, even ignored emails asking them to remove me from collections.

They make an already complicated process 10 times harder. You must communicate through the app because no one knows anything when you call, if anyone answers at all; they usually transfer you to an unanswered voicemail. Discussing appointment dates, times, and availability through the app is frustrating. Dr. Woods came in for 5 minutes to perform my procedure, then said she would return to review my results. She never formally met with me, since my initial visit was with a nurse practitioner, so this was our first meeting. I had no opportunity to explain or discuss my concerns. Within five minutes I was on the table without a face-to-face conversation. I have tried to schedule follow-up care, but they offer very inconvenient times, such as Tuesday at 2 p.m., as though people do not work. They seem to care only about money and have no bedside manner.

I do not recommend this clinic. I was disappointed by the lack of follow-up and patient care. I had several lab tests, and some results were outside the normal range, which concerned me. I asked to speak with Dr. G, but a nurse sent information that looked like it came from a Google search and advised me to see my primary care physician (PCP). All communication is through an app. I was overcharged for my visit and am still waiting for a refund. I also had an ultrasound with no follow-up. I will not return and do not recommend this clinic.

RUN!!!!! Run as far away as you can and never come here! This hospital's management and treatment of patients are a disaster! It is simply a money grab. They owed me $16,000 for services covered by insurance and delayed my reimbursement for more than 6 months. Now, nearly a year after I left their clinic because of corrupt practices, they have sent me a bill for $27,075??? If you have been here, you know they will not treat you unless you either 1) pay out of pocket first or 2) obtain insurance authorization. So how can you send me a $27,000 bill a year after the patient's last insurance-covered treatment? My only answer is: a) you are corrupt, b) you are incompetent, or c) both! RUN!!!!!

I am very grateful to the IVF MD team in Cooper City, especially Dr. Gerkowicz and Nurse Samantha. They are both kind and patient and make you feel exceptionally cared for at every step of treatment. Dr. Gerkowicz takes time to explain everything and put you at ease, while Samantha's warmth and support made an enormous difference. You can genuinely tell that they love their work and care deeply about their patients. ❤️🫶🏼

My initial communication with the doctor was excellent, but the subsequent blood draw experience was extremely poor. There were two main issues: * Communication between the clinic and the insurance company was completely opaque. I will omit the details, but it was a mess. * For a simple blood draw, I had been at the clinic for 1 hour and 10 minutes and was still waiting when I wrote this—51 minutes after my appointment time. Again, my initial experience with the doctor was very good, but I am now seriously questioning whether to continue here. If these problems arise this early, what will happen later?

My husband and I unexpectedly needed IVFMD, and I am grateful to have such a wonderful clinic nearby. Both the staff and doctors were exceptionally thoughtful during what is often an anxious time. At every visit, I felt heard and understood. Dr. Gelman and his team, especially Julie, were outstanding! Thanks to their help and expertise, we are now expecting our first baby!

Dr. Ellen Wood is an excellent IVF physician. She is highly knowledgeable and made an otherwise uncomfortable treatment process much easier. My husband and I felt very reassured under her care. I also want to thank Adriana, all the nurses, and the laboratory team at IVF Cooper City. They were kind, attentive, and responsive and always made me feel well cared for. I am sincerely grateful to this excellent team and highly recommend them to everyone.

Thank you for supporting us every step of the way—this baby is the greatest proof of hope.

Disappointed by Billing Practices and Lack of Accountability I wish I could give negative stars! They are a profit-driven company that does not care about patients. Even my acupuncturist said they once cared but have focused only on money since expanding. My experience at this fertility clinic was extremely poor, mainly because of billing practices and poor communication about insurance coverage. I completed three intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles and one medicated cycle. Insurance covered the first IUI without issue. For later cycles, however, the clinic submitted diagnosis codes that did not match my condition. My insurer denied payment despite previously approving treatment. More concerning, they failed to obtain required prior authorization, directly affecting coverage. Instead of correcting the problem or accepting responsibility, the clinic tried to make me pay out of pocket for treatment insurance should have covered. They even threatened collections. Fertility treatment is already emotionally and financially overwhelming. Patients trust clinics with both their health and insurance matters. Unfortunately, my experience suggested that profit mattered more than patient advocacy or transparency. Anyone considering treatment here should verify every insurance authorization and document everything. I wish I had been more proactive. A deeply disappointing experience. Update!! Two weeks ago, I emailed them with a detailed explanation of what happened and what would follow if it was not resolved. Miraculously, last week—one week after the email—a woman named “Jessica” called, apologized, and asked for details about “what exactly went wrong.” She said she would investigate the incorrect bill, email immediately after the call, and call again to follow up. A week passed with no email or call. I called the clinic today and was told, “Oh, someone left a note saying you would receive a call today.” The day ended and, unsurprisingly, nobody called. This disgraceful treatment of patients never ends.

My IVF team are above par . They gave us an excellent care and extended knowledge in our journey. Dr. Kenneth Gelman’s team helped us with our questions whenever we needed. Thanks to all the nurses especially Nurse Julie & Ashley. Also “V” at the laboratory who gave advices. They all make sure my wife’s health is the priority. The care we experience are professional and personal at the same time. Yes, it will take time to finish the whole processing, but it’s totally worth it. Dr. Gelman’s is not taking any risks when he knows the success chance is low. I’m truly appreciate what he had done. Thank you Dr. German, Julie and Ashley, of course “V” from the laboratory, you guys really made our journey in IVF unforgettable!

I sincerely thank Dr. Gelman and his outstanding team for everything they did for me during my IVF journey. I have been receiving treatment at this clinic for two years, and from the beginning, they have always treated me with kindness, professionalism, and compassion. I have endometriosis, cysts, and fibroids, and honestly, there were several times when I felt I would never become pregnant. Dr. Gelman was very patient and guided me step by step through the entire treatment process. Today, thanks to God and the support of this excellent team, I have finally become pregnant through IVF, and I am incredibly grateful. Special thanks to Andrea at the front desk, who always greeted me with a warm smile and positive energy, which truly brightened my day. The nurses, especially Ashley and Julie, were always available to answer my questions. The entire staff is wonderful. They are thoughtful and patient and always take time to explain everything clearly. In my opinion, this truly is the best IVF clinic. Thank you all for helping me achieve my dream.

Our experience with IVFMD was extremely disappointing. We were patients there for about 9 months but saw a doctor only once, at the very beginning. During that initial visit, the doctor told us our insurance covered intrauterine insemination (IUI) but not in vitro fertilization (IVF). Based on that information, we completed three unsuccessful IUI cycles. Seeking a second opinion changed everything. Another clinic reviewed our insurance benefits and confirmed that IVF was actually covered. Realizing that we had spent months following the wrong treatment plan was incredibly frustrating and felt like an enormous waste of time, money, and energy. Communication made matters worse. The clinic required us to use its Prelude app, but messages often went unanswered. It was nearly impossible to reach anyone. Despite paying a mandatory $250 "concierge" fee, we rarely received timely responses. Nothing moved forward unless we followed up repeatedly; we could not schedule appointments or receive care. Overall, the entire process was chaotic, poorly managed, and lacked accountability. I strongly recommend researching other fertility clinics before deciding to come here.

I cannot tell you how much Dr. Bauer and her IVFMD team helped me. They are more than doctors and nurses; they now feel like family. After a 12-year fertility journey, this was an extremely difficult and discouraging process, but Dr. Bauer and her nurses helped me through it. The hugs, tears, and laughter were all worthwhile now that I have my miracle baby. Leslie is the best nurse ever! If you have any questions, go to her; she is always willing to help! I highly recommend them!

IVFMD has been part of my life since 2020, and I am so glad I found them! Dr. Gerkowicz and her team have been wonderful to me, and I am extremely grateful to them! They are kind, patient, and always willing to go the extra mile for you! Leslie is also absolutely amazing; every clinic should have a nurse like her! Thank you, IVFMD, for helping me create my family!

The staff are absolutely wonderful. Everyone in the office works extremely hard to make you feel heard and seen. Although the employees seem overworked, I feel that they still put everything first! Thank you to the doctor for listening to our concerns. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering IVF.

Our story has a happy ending. Despite some setbacks involving finances, payments, and billing, we decided to remain with this office because Dr. Jessica Bauer always gave us a strong sense of security and confidence and calmed us whenever we consulted her. She communicated with us in our language, Spanish. Thank God we did not give up; today we can say we succeeded. I would like to recognize the excellent work of nurses Maria and Zeydys, the special attention from Dulce, and the women who performed ultrasound monitoring in Jupiter, whose names I do not have. Our advice to anyone reading this is to be patient, do not give up or grow tired, and keep moving forward.

This place is the ultimate fertility-clinic circus. After a year of extensive testing, follow-ups, waiting between appointments—and more waiting—two doctors, lifestyle counseling, two IVF cycles, and 40 eggs, we ended up with a total of zero embryos. More than $30,000 went down the drain, followed by many tears. My only hope is that you truly do your research before trusting this place. The next year, I had immediate success at another clinic. Avoid this place!

After seeing two other reproductive endocrinologists who did not make us feel comfortable, we began our journey with Dr. Reshef. He was patient, kind, and compassionate. Dr. Reshef was direct and honest. After he retired, we began seeing Dr. Bauer. We immediately felt as comfortable with her as we had with Dr. Reshef. Dr. Bauer is very kind and takes the time to explain everything. She guided us through our treatment plan and was available for all our appointments. We are deeply grateful to both of them! I highly recommend Dr. Bauer to anyone on a fertility journey!

This review is for women who want to conceive naturally. Before meeting Dr. Bauer, I had recurrent miscarriages. She was able to determine what my body needed for a successful, healthy pregnancy. Yes, the process was long and could be painful (HSG and SIS), but these were necessary tests for treatment. I took medication for 1 month and had an HSG, and soon afterward I got a BFP in the same cycle, even though my husband had been diagnosed with 1% morphology! So do not give up; keep trying! Let Dr. Bauer help you! Thank you again, Dr. Bauer and team!! Here is a photo of my Christmas present!

Dr. Bower and her Boca team! Before meeting Dr. Bower, I had been TTC for 8 years and had lost much of my hope. In addition to IVFMD, I consulted two other organizations. I am very intuitive, and from the moment I met her, I knew this was where I was meant to be. She was compassionate and informative throughout the process. My husband and I never underwent unnecessary testing unless it was truly needed. From start to finish, I felt heard and cared for by Dr. Bower and her outstanding team. Even when I needed surgery, she advocated for me when I needed support most. I made sure she knew how much that meant to me. During the year they cared for me, I felt like more than a patient. I formed a close bond with the entire team, and they felt like family. My coordinators, Maria and Leslie, and nurse Shelia, who handled all my bloodwork, always made me feel incredibly comfortable on both happy and anxious days. I am thrilled to share that I recently graduated from the Boca IVFMD clinic after becoming pregnant from my first transfer and have moved on to a regular OB-GYN. I never thought this day would come, and it still feels unreal. I will always recommend Dr. Bower and her team because they gave me the ultimate gift. I cannot wait to return when it is time to transfer our other embryos. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended!!! - Baby Cibene is due in February 2026

If I could give 10 stars, I would! The team at IVFMD was wonderful throughout our IVF journey. They were patient, kind, and reassuring. The entire staff is very accepting and LGBT-friendly! The medical team, including Dr. Bauer and Marta, was wonderful and really paid attention to detail, which, when it comes to reproductive health, is of such great importance. The nurses and front desk were all very helpful! They really become a part of your IVF family during this stressful journey. The medical team was always alert and always answered any messages I had. They would even reach out on the weekend with test results if it was important to make any changes to the treatment plan. I would 1000% recommend IVFMD to anyone looking to start their IVF journey. - Veronica & Claudia

I would not recommend this clinic. They billed one service incorrectly, and I had to resolve it with insurance myself. The doctor who performed the sonohysterogram said everything looked normal and told me to schedule a treatment-planning visit, recommending IVF. I sought another opinion, and hysteroscopy showed that my uterus was not fine as IVFMD had said; I actually needed dilation and curettage (D&C). I feel I wasted time and money at IVFMD, and the care felt impersonal.

There are way too many good IVF locations in Florida to settle for this location. This location prides itself on having honest pricing when it’s the furthest thing from the truth. The front desk staff was rude and after explaining to them that I only wanted testing done by my insurance, they assured me they would not run any bloodwork that was not covered. Come to find out, I am being charged for the bloodwork I did not authorize. In addition, prior to my appointment, I asked twice if my husband could attend MY consult or if he would need his own. They said yes of course he can attend at no cost. During the consult I was the only one who spoke to Dr. Bauer, yet a month later I get an insane bill in the mail because my husband was present during the consult. IVF is such a delicate process, I would 100% recommend you go to a facility that cares about you and not how much money they can make off you. I notified them of both errors prior to this review and they couldn’t care less. What a terrible money driven facility. Save your money and put it to good use elsewhere. There is another great facility less than 10 minutes from them that we found.

My husband and I saw Dr. Bauer after an early miscarriage and difficulty conceiving. Because we were young and early in our journey, I worried that our concerns might be dismissed, but Dr. Bauer was kind, thoughtful, and supportive. She took our situation seriously and completed a comprehensive evaluation of us both. Her thorough assessment identified several uterine fibroids that were making conception difficult. I had a myomectomy and, after some postoperative complications, another procedure one week later. Dr. Bauer arranged an immediate follow-up and took excellent care of me. She explained everything clearly and was consistently compassionate, patient, and caring. I genuinely felt that she cared. During recovery, she diagnosed me with endometriosis and recommended trying to conceive naturally for six months before discussing other treatment options. After six months without pregnancy, I began to lose hope, but to our surprise, we learned in September that I was pregnant! From then on, Dr. Bauer brought us in for weekly ultrasounds and was genuinely happy about every step of our progress. We recently graduated from her care at 9 weeks, which was very emotional. Everyone at the Boca office was wonderful, and her nurse Leslie is an angel: always friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. Dr. Bauer is truly exceptional and dedicated to her patients. She is caring, thorough, and always explains things in an easy-to-understand way. I highly recommend her.

We received care at IVFMD Boca, but communication was terrible. We never received return calls, yet had to pay a mandatory $250 “private consultant” fee. If we did not follow up repeatedly, they would not see us at all.

Terrible first appointment. The front desk staff were rude and extremely unprofessional... Stay away!

I am very glad I chose Dr. Gerkowicz for my fertility evaluation and journey. She was thorough and helpful throughout. She is also the sweetest person and has the best bedside manner. She and her staff answered every question, and my husband and I felt at ease knowing we were so well cared for. Highly recommended.

This “doctor” charges for tests never performed, ignores calls, and evades responsibility. Authorities must close this fraudulent institution that deceives innocent people.

Amazing doctor. Dr. Gerkowicz worked with my husband and me for several months. She is an expert in the field, and we felt very well supported. Her bedside manner is also wonderful—patient, thorough, and genuinely caring. Dr. Gerkowicz and IVFMD receive my highest recommendation.
