Dr. David Carnovale, United States
Dr. David E. Carnovale is Medical Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Community Health Network. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Before joining Community, Dr. Carnovale served for 10 years as Director of Assisted Reproductive Technology at the Central Georgia Fertility Institute in Macon, Georgia. Under his direction, the first children in Central Georgia conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF), sperm injection, and frozen embryo transfer were born following treatment at his facility. During this time, Dr. Carnovale was appointed to the faculty at the associate professor level in obstetrics and gynecology and trained residents to become practicing obstetricians and gynecologists at Mercer University School of Medicine.
Dr. Carnovale was recognized early in his career as an outstanding physician, receiving the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons award for Outstanding Laparoscopic Resident. During his residency at Albany Medical Center in New York, Dr. Carnovale achieved the highest examination scores among his peers in two of his four years of training.
He completed his undergraduate studies at St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York, and graduated from the S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center School of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. After residency, he completed a two-year fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Following his fellowship, he was appointed Director of Assisted Reproduction and Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at East Tennessee State University. He has also participated in multiple studies presented at major fertility conferences.

was recognized as a “Top Doctor” in reproductive endocrinology in Indianapolis Monthly’s annual list in 2019, 2015, and 2013.
