My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Henry Fertility, and I highly recommend them! Dr. Henry and his staff were thorough and knowledgeable throughout the IVF process. Even when the HSG revealed new findings, they had a plan for me and immediately developed a new one. From the HSG confirming that I needed IVF to have children through the 10-week ultrasound confirming that my twins were thriving in my uterus, I felt supported and genuinely heard. They answered every question I asked, whether in person, by phone, or by email. Learning that both fallopian tubes are blocked and must be removed is not easy. Then you face all the steps of something as intimidating as IVF. The surgery and procedures can seem frightening, but after asking every question, you realize, “Oh, that was not so bad,” and “That was much easier than I expected.” This was truly a positive experience, and I fully intend to do it again.

We spent a year with Henry Fertility—4 IUIs, 1 canceled retrieval, 1 retrieval, and 3 embryo transfers, all unsuccessful—before transferring to another clinic. I did not realize how much our care had lacked until we switched, and I waited until our new clinic succeeded before writing this review. I became pregnant within 6 months at the new clinic because my doctor treated me as an individual and offered real solutions instead of rushing me in and out. Before our final embryo transfer with Dr. Henry, I asked Danielle, “Is there anything else we can do before the last transfer? This is our final chance. Any additional tests, vitamins, or medication changes?” She replied, “Be as healthy as possible.” That immediately placed the blame on me and was a complete evasion. There were, in fact, other options. In one visit at my new clinic, I was advised to take x,y,z vitamins, undergo a saline ultrasound, HSG, and full bloodwork, and change sperm donors because of MFI with donor sperm. At my first visit, my new doctor noted that the sperm we had used at Henry had nonprogressive motility. I was shocked this had been missed. We could have avoided 4 IUIs and an IVF cycle with that donor. My new doctor simply took time to examine my records closely. When I asked Dr. Henry for a possible explanation for our failed transfers, he said, “Well, your eggs did not look very good,” with no further explanation. This made us believe IVF would not work, and we began discussing embryo adoption. Had I listened to Dr. Henry, I would not have tried again with my own eggs, though they were actually fine. My new doctor explained exactly what she saw and believed my STIM medication doses may have been too high. She was right. Because I responded poorly, Dr. Henry’s solution had been to increase the doses. I was taking Menopur 525 and Gonal 525, which seems outrageous in retrospect. Both packages say not to exceed 450. This not only harmed my egg quality, which I believe is why none of the transfers implanted, but also cost us an additional $15,000 in medication. There is no evidence that doses above the maximum of 450 improve outcomes; they can do more harm than good and are a money trap. My new doctor completely changed my IVF protocol because of my poor response. Dr. Henry had data from my canceled cycle and an opportunity to change course, but instead we pushed ahead with even higher doses. This clinic batches patients. It felt like there were too many patients and too few nurses. Every monitoring ultrasound felt like being herded. They operate first come, first served and tell you to arrive before opening so you will not have to wait. This was very stressful, especially when traveling from Terre Haute. I would leave home at 6:00 a.m. hoping not to wait an hour for an ultrasound. Sometimes I did not hear from a nurse about my daily medication dose until 6 or 7 p.m. This created completely unnecessary stress. Please research this clinic’s success rates; the evidence is in the data. Dr. Henry is a good person and a good doctor, so writing this saddens me, but perhaps he has too many patients to provide the individualized care everyone deserves while trying to build a family. Things fall through the cracks. I worry this will worsen as Henry opens more satellite offices and takes on more patients. Sharing our story matters because our experience at the new clinic was the exact opposite. I do not believe our success there was luck; it came from individualized care that everyone deserves. Henry follows Plan A for everyone, and if your body does not respond, you are stuck. There is no Plan B or Plan C.

My husband and I went through treatment at Henry Fertility in 2020. We were very fortunate to have healthy twins after our first IVF cycle. Before IVF, we had 1 failed IUI that resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. Both treatments were performed through Henry Fertility. The staff were always happy to answer questions and were friendly and informative. They responded to calls and emails after hours. Dr. Henry was always thorough and informative, explaining the entire process, medications, and next steps. After the twins were confirmed, I had several more appointments before being released to my obstetrician. I appreciated his thoroughness before discharge. I also found the fees reasonable. We could not have had a better experience during this difficult journey.

I wish I had explored my options before choosing Henry Fertility. I chose it for convenience because they visit the Wabash center, which is local to me. My initial appointment went well, and Dr. Henry explained everything. I left about 75% comfortable with the plan. Naturally, after receiving so much information, I had follow-up questions. The office nurses never wanted to answer them. I was repeatedly belittled and dismissed. My latest call began with, “You did not call when your period started.” I said I did not know I needed to because I did not plan to start until March. Helen replied, “The office nurse reviewed all of this with you.” In fact, she did not, because we were not planning to proceed now. Helen then said I could not continue my cycle. Another time I called with a question and was met with countless abbreviations and made to feel inferior because I did not speak at their level. I eventually emailed Helen to tell her I am also a nurse and could not believe how she spoke to people. The response was shocking and ultimately told me to take my business elsewhere. Thank God—what a blessing in disguise. To top it off, I posted a Facebook review and was blocked. Truly petty. Do not worry; the review will still be posted. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Fertility problems are hard enough without nurses showing zero compassion. I will gladly explore my options!

Honestly, based on the service I have received so far, I cannot recommend this place. Dr. Henry seems knowledgeable and developed an appropriate plan. His staff were supposed to call in my prescription last week, but it still has not been done. I have emailed and tried calling with no response. Based on this alone, I am not confident that this practice has my best interests in mind or meets an acceptable standard. Experiencing this immediately after my first appointment is very disappointing and frustrating. *Follow-up edit* After waiting two weeks for them to actually call in my prescription, I foolishly kept my ultrasound appointment because I really liked Dr. Henry and thought the issue could still be resolved. When I confirmed everything with the clinic, no one told me it was out of network and I would have to pay out of pocket. $315 for an ultrasound is outrageous. At this point, I will have to transfer to another clinic and start over.

**Warning: Do not trust Dr. Michael Henry at Henry Fertility Center** I strongly feel others should know how deeply disappointing our treatment experience with Dr. Michael Henry was. Before any fertility treatment began, my wife clearly disclosed that she had a large 10 cm uterine fibroid. Despite this, Dr. Henry assured us it would not be a problem and encouraged us to proceed without hesitation. One month before treatment began, my wife miscarried. We later learned that the fibroid's size severely affected her uterus, which was only 10 cm, preventing the fetus from growing. It is infuriating that we were misled and that Dr. Henry minimized a serious condition that ultimately contributed to the loss of our baby. Patients must receive honest, comprehensive medical assessments. Dr. Henry's dismissive attitude toward the fibroid was not only irresponsible but devastating for us. He constantly discussed money and spent most appointments focused on costs. Please seek care elsewhere. Trust your instincts and be cautious about this doctor's assurances. Your health and peace of mind are too important to risk.

He was extremely dismissive of my wife's condition. We needed a large fibroid removed, but Dr. Henry took no action, and we miscarried!

Traveling from Nevada to Haney Fertility Center instead of receiving care locally was the best decision for our family. Thanks to Dr. Haney, Danielle, and the entire team, we completed successful IVF in 2021 and welcomed our wonderful daughter, now age 3. This August, we completed RIVF and are very excited to become pregnant again. We highly recommend Haney Fertility Center. Thank you so much for everything you have done to help us build our family.

They charged us $268 for an approximately 30-minute consultation with a nurse practitioner, not Dr. Henry. Be sure you know whom you will see, especially at locations outside Indianapolis.

My wife and I had an extremely disappointing experience at Henry Fertility during her IUI procedure. The procedure turned into nearly 40 minutes of repeated unsuccessful catheter placement attempts by two different nurses before the physician was finally called. Once the physician arrived, he was able to complete the procedure immediately. It left us wondering why physician involvement was delayed while my wife continued to undergo repeated attempts during an already stressful fertility treatment. What made the experience even worse was the lack of compassion. When the physician entered the room, he did not introduce himself or acknowledge my wife until she addressed him twice. At one of the most emotionally vulnerable moments of fertility treatment, this lack of basic communication was deeply upsetting. After the procedure, my wife experienced abdominal pain and left the clinic in tears. We later contacted the clinic to express our concerns and requested a refund. The request was denied. We understand that fertility treatments can sometimes be technically difficult, and we are not criticizing the fact that the procedure presented challenges. Our concern is how those challenges were managed and how the patient was treated throughout the process. Every patient’s experience is different, but based on ours, we cannot recommend this clinic.
