Dr. Christopher Lipari, United States
Dr. Lipari was born and raised on the South Shore of Long Island, New York. He attended the Honors College at Adelphi University and graduated summa cum laude.
After college, he earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine, where he also tutored biochemistry and physiology. In 2004, he completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, where he received the Robert E. Nesbitt Jr., M.D. Outstanding Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology Award, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Achievement Award, and Berlex Pharmaceuticals' Best Teaching Resident Award. After residency, Dr. Lipari completed a three-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Lipari became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 2005 and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility in 2009. He serves as an assistant professor in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility for the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville.
While at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Lipari delivered numerous lectures and authored scientific abstracts and journal articles. He currently serves as a reviewer for Fertility and Sterility, one of the nation's leading fertility journals. He also served as clinical director of the assisted reproductive technology database system for reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Johns Hopkins and is proficient in the latest advances in reproductive medicine.
Dr. Lipari's clinical interests include optimal stimulation protocols for women with primary and secondary infertility, assisted reproductive technologies including in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection, diminished ovarian reserve, recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovary syndrome, fibroids, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Lipari is a highly skilled laparoscopic surgeon with a strong interest in endometriosis. His ongoing research includes using embryo metabolism as a marker of embryo quality; optimizing molecular aspects of luteal-phase endometrial receptivity; and developing new stimulation protocols for "poor responders" undergoing IVF.
Dr. Lipari belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Society of Reproductive Surgeons, Endocrine Society, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and American Medical Association.
After caring for many infertility patients, Dr. Lipari understands the frustration involved and addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of fertility treatment. When not helping couples achieve their fertility goals, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife, Grace, and their two children, Sophia and Caden. He also enjoys boating, fishing, and golf.
