My husband and I are extremely grateful to Dr. Acacio and his team. Everyone was very kind and helpful. From the moment we began the FET process, they made us feel comfortable. After speaking with Dr. Acacio, we knew that starting the process with this team was the right choice. I appreciated his optimism and the way his sense of humor eased my anxiety. My husband and I are grateful for the detailed explanations he provided about every part of the process and every ultrasound. Thank you all for this wonderful experience!

The following was written by my wife, who is much kinder than I am. We are posting it in the hope of sparing others the heartbreak we experienced. I do not usually write negative reviews, but I hope to prevent even one person from experiencing the grief that came from working with this office. I have wanted to write this review for some time, but needed time to process our experience. First, I want to say that while we were treated by Dr. Acacio in 2021-2022, the nursing staff were very kind and compassionate. Unfortunately, they were the only positive part of our experience. We had two egg retrievals and one failed transfer at this office. We felt like numbers, and my personal experience made me feel like cattle on a factory farm. Instead of working with my individual cycle, this office used birth control pills—which suppress ovarian function—to force my body into their group cycle, meaning all of Dr. Acacio's patients underwent retrievals, transfers, and other procedures on the same day or during the same week. At the time, I was new to IVF and did not understand how adversely this could affect our outcome. It was not a positive experience for me because I am extremely sensitive to medication. My body felt overwhelmed by the hormones and by having my cycle adjusted to a schedule outside its natural rhythm. I suspect many people's bodies do not respond well to this process and that they may need several rounds of IVF at this office. Follicle-count appointments with the nurses were much better than those with Dr. Acacio, because I felt he was rough with my body when using the speculum/ultrasound probe. Recovery after both retrievals performed by Dr. Acacio was extremely painful, and it took much longer than expected for me to feel normal. After changing doctors and undergoing two retrievals at another fertility clinic, I had a typical recovery. For that reason, I truly believe my difficult recoveries with Dr. Acacio were due to how roughly he handled my body. In addition, whenever my husband and I were waiting for results, we received the most devastating information, including unsuccessful results, by email rather than by phone. When we told Dr. Acacio that we were upset the office could not call us with terrible news, we were told that their large number of patients made it impossible to call with results—again, see the factory-farm comparison. In contrast, after our first retrieval with our new doctor at an equally busy fertility clinic, he called us while on vacation in Italy to review the results with us. Finally, while working with Dr. Acacio, we had only two viable embryos. Because we desperately wanted more than one child, we decided to transfer both at once in the hope of having twins. Dr. Acacio fully agreed with this plan. The transfer failed, and losing both embryos was unbearably devastating. More importantly, I have a health condition that pregnancy worsens, which I did not fully understand at the time. When we asked our current doctor whether we could try for twins, he said absolutely not because it would put my life at risk. Had I understood this while working with Dr. Acacio, I would not have attempted a twin pregnancy. We are extremely grateful that we left this office and moved to a fertility clinic that prioritizes our well-being, health, and feelings. That was not our experience with Dr. Acacio. Choosing to work with him first delayed our path to parenthood, added mental, physical, and emotional stress, and caused far more grief than we ever expected.

I am extremely grateful to the Acacio Fertility team for everything they have done from the beginning until now to help my husband and me grow our family. Thanks to them, we were blessed with our son, who is now 17 months old, and I am pregnant with our next child. The care and concern shown by the entire team are incredible. Those who undergo IVF understand the stress, anxiety, and uncertainty involved, and I am deeply grateful for the warmth Dr. Acacio and his team shared throughout our journey.

As you know, struggling with fertility can be exhausting. My wife and I scheduled an 8:30 a.m. appointment with Dr. Acacio. We arrived early, as patients are always told to do, and brought additional paperwork that the front desk had difficulty finding in its system. My partner and I both had to take time off work for this appointment. After waiting more than 30 minutes, the front desk told us they could not reach the doctor and that we might not be seen that day. My partner was already in a very distressed emotional state and had to endure this ordeal, only for the doctor not to appear for his own appointment. It was unbelievable. This may seem minor to some people, but for a family trying to grow and unable to do so, it was another blow. It is a shame that Brian Acacio missed his own appointment. After this experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. He did not even offer an explanation or apology for missing the appointment. The audacity.

Amazing doctor. I had a myomectomy last year, recovered fully, and am now pregnant. Dr. Acacio is very helpful and knowledgeable and always provides support and answers questions promptly. I stayed with him through my first trimester. I wish he also delivered babies. He is the best doctor!

My husband and I went through a challenging period while trying to conceive and eventually found Dr. Acacio. From our first meeting, Dr. Acacio and his team were attentive, kind, thoughtful, and provided exceptional personalized care. We completed the IVF process with support, information, and excellent service at every step. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Acacio and his team. They supported us throughout what can be a frightening and stressful time and provided the best support possible. We highly recommend Acacio Fertility Services.

I highly recommend Dr. Acacio! He is not only knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions, but also very thoughtful and caring. My husband and I had previously seen other doctors without success or any explanation for our infertility. We were fortunate to find Dr. Acacio and his team, and we are finally expecting our first child! He also has an incredibly supportive team. Everyone is very helpful, and I can trust them to respond quickly without worrying. They are wonderful!

Dr. Acacio and his team provided my husband and me with the best care we received during our years of family planning. It was the first time I felt hopeful—and with good reason! As I write this, my newborn is lying beside me. We had several scares early in the pregnancy, but he and his entire team were extremely compassionate, patiently answered all my anxious questions, and were professional and responsive. Thankfully, everything ultimately went well. I highly recommend this clinic.

I highly recommend the clinic of Dr. Acacio and his team. A friend referred me, and I completed two egg-freezing cycles with them and was very satisfied with the results. Their office is well organized, and the team is warm and friendly. They respond promptly to emails and calls and accommodate your schedule whenever possible. The clinic is conveniently located next to the freeway, ideal for a quick ultrasound before work. Kasey, Nicole, Mariana, and Gabi were all outstanding and very supportive throughout. Dr. Acacio is patient, kind, and honest and makes you feel completely comfortable during the process. Dr. Hiscox may be my favorite anesthesiologist I have worked with—and I have worked with many. He is approachable, charming, and humorous, exactly the kind of person you want beside you before going to sleep for a procedure. Finally, senior embryologist Dr. Skodras is wonderful and sends a detailed update by email within 24 hours after the procedure. In short, if you are looking for a fertility center, look no further. This is the place. Thank you all for giving me such an empowering experience.

Dr. Acacio and his team are amazing! I thought I would never have another child, but they made it possible. I am so grateful!!

Dr. Acacio is not only an exceptional physician but also someone who truly cares, listens, and goes above and beyond for his patients. His knowledge, intuition, and compassion changed our lives, and I will be grateful to him forever. His entire team is equally incredible: kind, supportive, and responsive, making us feel cared for at every step. We could not have reached this point without them and will always be grateful. After five years of trying to conceive, seeing several doctors, two egg retrievals, and four failed transfers, I came to Dr. Brian Acacio with unexplained infertility and almost no hope. From the first consultation, Dr. Acacio listened carefully to my concerns. I suspected endometriosis, which previous doctors had dismissed, but he insisted on surgery and found stage II endometriosis. He also performed autoimmune genetic testing that identified a gene variant affecting implantation, something my previous doctors had never tested. He immediately recommended preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), and we finally found answers. He also listened to my concerns about the timing of egg retrieval. This time we waited one extra day, and the result changed my life: 11 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 7 blastocysts, and ultimately 5 genetically normal embryos. In November, we transferred two embryos. After the longest 11 days of my life, I received the call that I was pregnant. Two weeks later, we learned that both embryos had implanted. To future parents: there is light at the end of this journey. Keep going; it will all be worth it. 💙

This clinic’s care coordination is extremely poor and places an unreasonable burden on patients. After receiving last-minute notice that we would need to drive four hours out of town for ultrasounds and embryo transfer, we searched online for the reason. Only through other patients’ reviews did we learn that the Laguna clinic was reportedly closing. The clinic never told us directly. Patients should not have to search online for transparency. I was told that during my embryo-transfer cycle, I would need routine ultrasound monitoring in Bakersfield. This was not one visit but multiple monitoring appointments, each requiring roughly four hours each way—an eight-hour round trip—for a routine ultrasound. This is unreasonable and impractical, especially during an IVF cycle. The clinic closure is clearly an internal operational issue, yet patients are expected to absorb the consequences with almost no notice. Earlier disclosure would have allowed me to arrange local monitoring and transfer care to another physician. Instead, I learned only after most doctors’ schedules were booked for months, leaving no feasible alternative. Worse, on transfer day I already had pre- and post-transfer acupuncture scheduled in Irvine, a common supportive service for IVF patients. Coordinating same-day travel between Irvine and Bakersfield is impossible. Although ultrasound monitoring and transfer timing are medically necessary, it is unacceptable to shift logistical problems caused by closure and poor planning onto patients. More frustrating still, they did not proactively refer me to a local Irvine physician for follow-up monitoring. If you are considering this clinic, be aware that clinic closures, poor communication, and excessive travel may ultimately become your burden rather than the clinic’s responsibility.

Dr. Acacio cares more about money than patients. He tries to impress you with trophies and his knowledge of other prominent doctors, making you feel that your questions are foolish and waste his time.

I am so grateful that my friend recommended Dr. Acacio Fertility Center after he helped her successfully conceive two babies through IUI! When we entered his clinic after years of infertility and loss, we were frightened and knew little about our options. His clinic was so kind and knowledgeable. Some unexpected life events put our fertility journey on hold for 1.5 years, and miraculously, we conceived naturally just before I turned 41! I cannot express how grateful I am to have Dr. Acacio and his wonderful staff caring for me during the first trimester of my most “successful” pregnancy to date! We are 10w3d, and I only wish everyone in this office could care for me throughout the entire pregnancy!

The Acacio team is outstanding. They are dedicated to making us feel comfortable and understood. I will always be grateful for the exceptional effort of this wonderful team.

Acacio Fertility Center has the best fertility team in Bakersfield. We visited 3 different locations, and Dr. Acacio and the team—Ashley, Margarita, and Nurse V—treated us with respect, compassion, and optimism. At every appointment, the team welcomed us warmly and encouraged us. Dr. Acacio always discussed infertility with warmth and sensitivity and offered us options/alternatives. We appreciate that Dr. Acacio does not back down from a challenge. Thank you, AFC team.

Excellent office and doctor. We have come here twice and had successful outcomes. Each time, Dr. Acacio was informative, empathetic, and caring. They made the entire process go very smoothly.

My husband and I had been trying to conceive for over a year. Other OB-GYNs and endocrinologists had previously misdiagnosed me with PCOS. We felt hopeless and had nowhere to turn until we were advised to begin seeing Dr. Acacio. We have seen him since May 2023. After reviewing my and my husband's laboratory results, he determined that I did not have PCOS; I simply stopped taking a hormone that was preventing ovulation. My husband and I are now ten weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby. If you need clarity or direction on your fertility journey, or simply feel hopeless, I strongly recommend seeing Dr. Acacio. His knowledge and compassion are exceptional, and I cannot recommend him highly enough!

This was my first time here as a surrogate. I am very happy and grateful for this fertility center. I had a great experience, and the staff were wonderful and very helpful! The doctor is really cool, knows what he is doing, and is the best doctor in Bakersfield. I definitely recommend them and would return! Thank you for being part of the journey!

The path to parenthood was not as smooth as my wife and I had imagined. Despite many challenges and personal loss, we remained optimistic, largely because of the attentive care from Dr. Acacio and his team. They supported us throughout with sincerity, a compassionate clinical approach, and unmatched expertise. We are both deeply grateful to Acacio Fertility Center—and hope a third person will soon agree.

Acacio Fertility Center, where dreams come true. When my husband and I took the first step toward seeking help to become pregnant, we did not expect it to happen immediately; we knew it would take time. Our first meeting with Dr. Brian Acacio was wonderful. He gave us tremendous calm, confidence, and peace. From that moment, we knew we had found a doctor we could trust. When we began treatment, amazingly, in less than a month we had a feeling our baby was on the way. Today, I am 12 weeks pregnant. We are so happy and grateful for the wonderful people we met along the way—not only the doctor, but also his team, Viridiana and Mayara. Thank you for your attentive care and for making us feel part of the wonderful Acacio Fertility Center family. May God continue to grant you wisdom, patience, and love for your work. Sometimes you begin without hope, but leave with a heart full of dreams. Endless thanks.

I called for an appointment, and they refused outright. I called again a week later to ask whether I could schedule. They rudely refused again, but this time said they would email forms for me to complete, which gave me hope...but I never received them. I called again this morning, and Myra was extremely rude and constantly interrupted me. I repeatedly explained that we only wanted the email containing the forms, but she kept saying, “As I said, we are not accepting appointments until the end of February...” She was completely disrespectful, and I could not have a productive conversation with her. I finally told her I did not want to upset her further and be interrupted again, and that I would call another day. As a fertility clinic, they should understand our frustration and urgency to visit in person.
    Jan 13, 2026
I called with a question, and the front desk was cold. After the call, while researching many fertility centers, I accidentally dialed the same number again. Before I could apologize, the receptionist rudely said, “You just called,” and hung up. The attitude was poor from the start.

This is the worst medical practice I have ever visited! The staff are extremely unprofessional and do not know what they are doing. I finally obtained an appointment, and the doctor wanted an MRI to help plan surgery. The staff submitted the referral incorrectly three times, then filed the wrong documentation, causing my insurer to deny coverage. Four months later, the doctor finally contacted the insurer and obtained approval. I had the MRI and tried to schedule follow-up care, but the clinic repeatedly said they would call back. Two weeks later, they told me the doctor would be away for a month and they did not know exactly when he would return, so they could not schedule me. I requested a referral to another doctor, but they said that was impossible. For nearly six months, I received no help for pain that urgently needed treatment! Do not come here unless you do not care about medical professionalism, your health, or your valuable time. This was my worst experience and the worst choice I have made.
    Mar 4, 2026
I began calling for an appointment in November. They told me to wait until December and gave me a form to complete. I brought the form in during December, but they then made me wait until January and again until February. In February, they claimed they had never received my form, which contained my personal and bank card information and was required to become a patient. The woman on the phone said, “We did not receive it, and I do not know who you gave it to.” I had completed it at the clinic! In short, this is the worst clinic I have ever encountered. Their phone and scheduling service is terrible.

Thanks to Dr. Acacio, after 11 years of infertility and the pain of three miscarriages, my partner and I are finally becoming parents. Dr. Acacio was the first doctor to order additional tests and investigate the cause of my problems. Now I am going to be a mother, something I never thought I would be fortunate enough to say. He is kind, patient, and exceptionally talented. I saw him at the Laguna Niguel office and cannot praise him or his excellent care team enough. Our dream has finally come true, and I can say without hesitation that it would have been impossible without Dr. Acacio and his practice’s support, knowledge, determination, and love at every step. Highly recommended.

Words cannot express enough wonderful things about Dr. A and his team. My gratitude is immeasurable. I have certainly been through it, and Dr. A was always there to support me and be my greatest cheerleader. His calm, confident nature is infectious. Paula in accounting is also wonderful. Thank you, Dr. A, for everything!

I have previously been a surrogate three times and am now on my fourth journey. I have worked with a different fertility doctor each time, so I believe I have some basis for comparison. His office is by far the best fertility office I have visited. The front desk is welcoming from the moment you enter, and the clinical staff and doctor make you feel like family rather than another patient. If I needed a fertility clinic for myself, I would choose this office. Few offices still make every milestone feel like a celebration, but this one does. They were as excited as I was about every milestone, even bloodwork. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and approaching my last visit. I am genuinely sad to transfer to an OB-GYN instead of remaining with this practice. If I could stay here throughout pregnancy, I would without question. If you are considering this office, I highly recommend it. If you are here because of fertility concerns, I wish you the best of luck and all the baby dust in the world! 🥰
