Mark J. Rispler, MD, FACOG, is board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and obstetrics and gynecology.
He trained in some of the country's most advanced programs and now teaches microsurgery and other fertility-enhancing surgical techniques to physicians.
Dr. Rispler is a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at UCLA and formerly served as acting director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Harbor-UCLA, where he received a national Excellence in Physician Education teaching award. He has published multiple research papers and participated in research on the causes of low sperm count.
Dr. Rispler graduated with honors from UC San Diego with bachelor's degrees in chemistry and biochemistry. He attended the Medical College of Virginia, completed an internship at Los Angeles County-USC, and completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. After several years in general obstetrics and gynecology, he pursued a fellowship at Harbor-UCLA to develop his interests in infertility and biomedical research. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, Los Angeles County Medical Association, California Medical Association, and American Medical Association.

Words cannot describe how incredible this clinic, Dr. Berger, and his staff—Kate, Pila, and others—are! Before choosing Innovative Fertility, I consulted several IVF clinics. The others seemed to offer cookie-cutter care. At Innovative Fertility, you can immediately see how caring and invested Dr. Berger is, in addition to being highly knowledgeable and experienced. IVF can be emotionally difficult, but throughout our treatment, Dr. Berger was compassionate and approachable. He even helped me with a non-IVF issue while my gynecologist was unavailable, which he certainly did not have to do! Our son was born last week, and we are extremely grateful!

A life-changing experience with Innovative Fertility and Dr. Burger
My husband and I spent a year and a half trying to conceive and faced disappointment every month. It was an emotional and challenging journey, but everything changed when we turned to Innovative Fertility Center in Manhattan Beach. From our first consultation, Dr. Burger and his incredible team made us feel hopeful, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Dr. Burger patiently and expertly guided us through every step of IVF, ensuring that we felt informed and comfortable. He was compassionate and knowledgeable and always willing to answer our questions, large or small. His dedication and confidence gave us the reassurance we needed to continue.

I have completed 3 egg-freezing cycles at IFC and am grateful to have found Dr. Berger and his staff. It felt like a personalized experience; they were warm and as accommodating as possible throughout. Dr. Berger noticed that my body was not responding to the medication, so he changed the protocols for my next two cycles, resulting in 90% and 100% retrieval rates in the following rounds. I will return once more to reach my goal, but I am grateful to have found this clinic and team to help me plan for the future and make this uncomfortable process as easy as possible.

The team at Innovative Fertility is always so kind and welcoming. I had previously visited other clinics, and what I appreciate most here is the close, family-like atmosphere. I never felt like a number; they all knew my name, which made a stressful and emotional experience much more positive. After trying three different fertility clinics, I finally found Dr. B. My case was not straightforward, but we worked together and found my ‘rainbow baby.’ We feel incredibly fortunate to have built our family with the help of Innovative Fertility. Dr. B performed every ultrasound and met with me after each one to clearly discuss the next steps, which I greatly appreciated. I used to have endless questions, but Dr. B always answered them. If we decide to have a second child, we will definitely return.

My overall experience with the office staff and Dr. Berger was unpleasant. His assistant handled most of the communication and tried to answer my questions, but her responses lacked medical precision and professionalism. She repeatedly used peer-pressure tactics to push me into making decisions, ultimately leading me to block her number.
My interactions with Dr. Berger were limited and brief. He recommended genetic testing through Natera and mentioned that it might not be covered by insurance. I later learned that few insurance plans cover such extensive genetic testing, and I received a $350 bill. After researching Natera online, I found that they and some fertility clinics frequently use scare tactics for financial gain.
Overall, I found another clinic that was more caring and professional than Innovative Fertility.

Dr. Berger, Kate, and everyone at Innovative Fertility Center were outstanding. They carefully reviewed my infertility history and all my tests and diagnosed Asherman syndrome almost immediately. Dr. Berger performed surgery to remove the adhesions and helped me follow a strict postoperative protocol. I am now pregnant. In addition to being highly skilled, they are very kind. I highly recommend them. Thank you so much for everything.

First, I want to say that every fertility journey is unique. Choosing this path means exposing your most vulnerable self to a stranger—a doctor found through an online search or word of mouth. It is an overwhelming and frightening way to begin.
Then I found Dr. B. I felt that I had not only won the lottery, but also found a team that would truly accompany me through this vulnerable journey.
In 2022, after multiple miscarriages and at advanced maternal age (39 at the time), I began working with Dr. B. From the beginning, he and his team supported me throughout. At every appointment, he patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns. There were frightening moments, but each time Dr. B calmly assessed the situation and gave me a clear path forward.
I will never forget experiencing light bleeding after embryo transfer. I was terrified and nearly hopeless. After I left an urgent voicemail, Dr. B personally called me on a Sunday and explained exactly what to do. On another occasion, I accidentally used the wrong medication dose, and he reassured me and explained the correct response. Moments like these made me feel incredibly fortunate that I had chosen this IVF clinic.
The outcome: two egg retrievals, two healthy embryos, one healthy daughter born in 2023, and one healthy son born in 2025.
I also want to add that even if my IVF treatment had not succeeded, I would still be profoundly grateful for the attentive care, compassion, and experience I received here.

Dr. Berger is wonderful, and Pella is always very helpful with billing questions. Everyone at the clinic is warm and friendly. This journey has not been easy, but every visit and phone call made us feel genuinely cared for and supported. We appreciate how the staff always tried to communicate clearly and make us comfortable. My husband and I are incredibly grateful to Dr. Berger and the entire care team at Innovative Fertility Center. After a long IVF journey, we were fortunate to become pregnant after our first transfer, and we felt fully supported throughout the process.
Dr. Berger is not only highly skilled but also deeply caring. He is always efficient while remaining warm and approachable, which is crucial during treatment that requires frequent visits, sometimes even weekly, especially while balancing work and daily life. He patiently answered our questions and explained every stage of treatment, giving us confidence in the plan. Fertility treatment can be extremely stressful, but his calm, reassuring manner made a vital difference.

The staff at this practice won me over from my first phone call. Their warm attention and welcoming manner confirmed my choice before my first appointment. Dr. Rispler is a warm, reassuring presence in a field that can otherwise feel intimidating and frightening. He and his staff guided my difficult, high-risk case to a successful pregnancy, and I am very grateful. Even if you do not live in the South Bay, this office is well worth the trip!

I cannot say enough about this office, its staff, Dr. Rispler, and the consistent professionalism and kindness at every visit. First, I want to clarify that I did not receive IVF or IUI treatment and was only monitored during pregnancy. Daysy and Wendy are not doctors, but they may know enough to be; they gave me their full attention, helpful and important advice, and punctual appointments. They treated patients with great empathy and respect and knew so much about fertility, pregnancy, and female anatomy that I often did not need to see the doctor. If I needed anything or felt afraid, they immediately arranged an ultrasound. For several weeks I was very anxious, and they repeatedly performed blood tests to ensure my levels were rising. Dr. Rispler was also wonderful. He took a very conservative approach, which I liked, but he was also direct without sounding harsh or uncaring. He was very kind and patient and took time with every patient. I am so glad I found this kind, knowledgeable, and efficient office, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering having a child.

Dr. Rispler and his staff did an outstanding job helping my wife and me become pregnant. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and whenever we walked through the door, we felt like more than just clients. The IUI and IVF processes were initially a mystery, but they always made sure we understood what was happening and took every possible step to improve our chances of pregnancy. We will always be grateful for them and their efforts, and we strongly encourage others beginning a fertility journey to seek treatment from Dr. Rispler and his staff! Daysy and Perla were very helpful in explaining things and offering encouragement throughout the process. They always made us feel welcome and celebrated our success.
