Get a second opinion! My wife came here about three years ago and returned home in tears because they told her she was essentially infertile and should stop trying. We sought a second opinion in Dallas and took fertility steps to clear her fallopian tubes. She became pregnant the next month. We now have two beautiful boys. Thank goodness we did not listen to this doctor. Please seek another opinion.

If another clinic is an option, choose it unless you want poor communication and to feel like a source of money. Unfortunately, there was no other clinic within more than 300 miles, so we had no choice. Before putting yourself through a heartbreaking process, note what I wish I had known: 1) Although the clinic is in network, the laboratory is out of network with most major insurers, including BCBS and Cigna. We paid extra for fertility coverage, but because the laboratory was out of network, we lost about $20,000 and had to take out a loan. Most IVF work is laboratory-based and was not covered at all. 2) If you pay an additional $6,000 for genetic testing, it covers only 8 embryos. Each embryo beyond 8 costs another $275.00. We were not told until after paying and signing everything, when the front desk handed me a paper during an ultrasound appointment and forced a quick decision. We could not afford more, so I had to decline, which was heartbreaking. That price should cover every retrieved embryo, not just 8. It is disgusting that the clinic exploits patients and demands more money when most couples already struggle to afford treatment. 3) Communication is terrible. During IVF stimulation, I nearly ran out of medication. I left 2 urgent messages for the nurse and called the front desk, but no one responded about whether I needed a refill to continue stimulation. Given the time sensitivity, even an email should have been a priority. Billing is also a nightmare: they wait until the last moment to submit to insurance, so authorization is not completed in time and you must pay more than you owe out of pocket on the procedure date. 4) No one, including your doctor, warns how difficult recovery may be if many eggs are retrieved. I went to the emergency room, had severe pain for weeks, and experienced pain when walking and using the bathroom. Do your research. My body has not been the same, and I had to take a break before frozen embryo transfer. 5) When I received the call about how many embryos succeeded, I tried to ask the doctor a question. He said he had no time and essentially ended the call. To them, I was another source of money, not a person who had undergone trauma. Consider other options before choosing this clinic. Because the process is so difficult, communication and care should be excellent. This experience was far worse than it should have been if we had alternatives.

I honestly hate these people. I simply have no other local option that can help. My husband and I paid for IVF, which failed, but a nurse at Fertility Associates told me that if I struggled to afford IVF, what made me think I could afford a child. Dr. Kutte did not care that IVF failed. It was all money, money, and more money without help. Waiting and more waiting for nothing. After IVF, he had me delay progesterone. No doctor ever examined me. Dr. Brezina did not care either. I never felt that anyone cared. I asked Dr. Brezina for an IVF itemization, but he did not provide one; it was about $20,000. At least give me an itemized medication list so I can find lower prices elsewhere. When he saw me, he remembered nothing about me and tried to read the notes quickly. Several women told me the clinic gave them discounted or free medication left by other patients. I even heard they provided some patients free donated sperm left after successful IVF. I was denied CareCredit. I spoke with Dr. Kutte about becoming his patient because he seemed to care. He emailed that he was retiring that week and would not accept me. Something tells me he may not have retired, lol, but I have proof he told me that. I have had three spontaneous miscarriages, yet no one investigated possible causes. I was told I have endometriosis, but my research found surgery may be possible. Why was it not recommended? Your experience may be completely different, so do not rely only on my account. I just need people to know that I gave them my savings and once sold all my cars for IVF. I paid expensive appointment and storage fees and hundreds for monitoring. I remember being $6 short and having monitoring canceled after asking them to bill me. I asked whether we could try IUI because it was less expensive. Dr. Brezina refused because he said I had responded poorly to Clomid and Femara. I asked whether we could use low-dose injections, and he said no. I give up. I am 36 and have no hope. God has not put anyone in my path who cares about me, even a little.

After recurrent miscarriages, I saw Dr. Bailey in fall 2022. Before my follow-up, I had bloodwork and a routine ultrasound. I believe I was uncomfortable with the other tests she ordered. Still grieving my losses, I decided I was not ready for anything more invasive. At the follow-up, she was very irritated that I had not completed the tests. She said IVF was my only option and that if I did not complete testing, my next baby might also die. That is not a good approach for someone who has suffered multiple losses. I explained that my obstetrician thought it might simply be bad luck. She said my obstetrician was good at delivering babies, but she was the expert and knew more. She then left before our conversation ended and told me to call after becoming pregnant. This was all said in front of a resident who had entered without my consent. When I became pregnant on my own months later, I did not call her. I now have two boys born 13 months apart, both conceived without intervention. I clearly did not need IVF and might have been pressured into unnecessary treatment. She did not provide compassionate care, and I would not recommend her to anyone grieving after miscarriage.

I am forever grateful for the care I received and for Dr. Bailey. They know what they are doing and created the best care plan for me. They did not push IVF and tried other options first. When I left a voicemail, they answered questions quickly, and they also responded promptly through the after-hours number. Some visits had long waits, but not every visit. Dr. Bailey is the best, and I would choose FAM for life.

I have had several appointments with Fertility Associates of Memphis, and each one was very positive. From the front desk staff to the ultrasound technicians and nurses, and finally our wonderful doctor, Dr. Brezina, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Excellent service! I would give them 10 stars if I could. My only complaint is that the magazines provided for “inspiration” are somewhat dated, though they still contain high-quality photos. The videos are first-rate, but many were repeats because I already had several in my personal collection. Some staff members are very attractive, so I chose to rely on mental imagery while taking care of business, but everyone has their preference. They handle privacy very well, and the room has good feng shui, creating a calm, soothing experience. Finally, the staff respected my pronouns, “I/myself/and me,” which I greatly appreciated, as people seem increasingly reluctant to acknowledge preferred gender identities.

After more than three years of infertility, countless prayers, and one heartbreaking failed IVF cycle, we finally found hope with the help of Dr. Bailey and the entire Fertility Associates of Memphis team. Infertility was one of the hardest challenges we have faced, but from the first consultation, Dr. Bailey made us feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. Her compassion, honesty, and dedication gave us renewed hope when we felt helpless. No matter how minor the question, the staff were always kind, patient, and responsive. Thanks to their guidance, expertise, and unwavering support, we welcomed our miracle daughter, Presley. Words cannot express our gratitude. Presley is living proof that hope and miracles exist, and we thank Dr. Bailey and the entire Fertility Associates of Memphis team for helping make our dream come true. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us this most precious gift.💕 —Forever grateful, The Dye family

The doctors are excellent, and the nurses are wonderful once you are inside the clinic. But when you are not there, the women you speak with seem unwilling to help or even talk to you. The nurses on the phone spoke to me as though I had never been there and as though they understood my body's response better than I did. I called and left a message requesting a return call to discuss the next steps, but all I received was a brief portal reply with no option to respond. It was as though they did not care at all! I called many times about my treatment plan, but they could not be bothered to address it. This is extremely frustrating and stressful.

Dr. Bailey and her team overcame the odds. From only 4 mature eggs, they created 3 embryos. Dr. Bailey performed two successful transfers for us—two healthy children—and we still have one embryo remaining. Her procedural skill is incredible. We will always be grateful for her expertise and this priceless gift to our growing family.

Dr. Bailey is the first doctor in YEARRSSS who made me feel that my body and voice mattered. I had almost given up on the Memphis healthcare system. She restored my confidence, helped me overcome serious health issues, and kept alive my desire to have children. Thank you, Memphis Fertility Specialists.

Dr. B is very nice and explains things clearly. My first impression was a little unexpected because the doctor was abrupt, but once I began speaking, she became gentle and kind. Perhaps I was a little nervous.

Dr. Brezina is one of the best in the field. I would recommend him to anyone experiencing infertility. He is personable, answers your questions honestly, and wants the best for your family. My husband and I both think highly of him!

No postoperative call or follow-up. No evidence that the uterine fibroid was removed. There was no prior authorization before genetic testing, and they did not return my calls to help, so I received an $8000 bill because of a paperwork error.

For years, I struggled with uterine fibroids and menstrual problems. Wanting a comprehensive evaluation, I went to Fertility Associates of Memphis. I am glad I did—otherwise, I would never have understood everything happening in my body. I first saw Dr. Brezina, who performed a comprehensive evaluation and was the first doctor to recognize the severity of my fibroids. I will always be grateful for his expertise and guidance. He referred me to minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon Dr. Todd Chappell for a robotic laparoscopic myomectomy. Dr. Chappell was outstanding—even in the operating room, he identified several other concerns and addressed them professionally and meticulously. His ability to assess a complex situation in real time, together with his knowledge, skill, and compassion, gave me confidence throughout the procedure. Although I am still early in recovery, I feel hopeful and confident about my recovery and future fertility. Bottom line: If you want doctors who truly listen, identify underlying issues, and provide expert care, I highly recommend Dr. Brezina and Dr. Todd Chappell.

My experience with this clinic was very disappointing. Wait times for appointments were hours long with lines out the door and patients are herded like cattle. The communication was inconsistent and I was not even notified when my physician retired. I encountered significant billing issues. I received a bill for over $700 for dates of service that were over two years old. When I called about this, I was told that due to a new system, invoices were being sent out late. My insurance was billed incorrectly and when my insurance contacted the clinic to correct their mistake, they were told that charges would not be resubmitted. This led to me being charged incorrectly and threatened to be sent to collections if the bill was not paid. When I called the number on the invoice to pay the bill, the number was incorrect leading me to be transferred around. This was a frustrating and time-consuming process and it felt like the financial side of this clinic was more of a priority than patient care. When you're going through something as emotionally and physically taxing as fertility treatment, the last thing you should have to worry about is whether you're being treated fairly and competently. Sadly, that was not the case here. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Please know there are other options. The quality of care and genuine regard for each persons story can be found elsewhere. Don’t settle.

My husband and I learned that our embryos had been "accidentally" discarded by FAM. Even more troubling, the clinic did not tell us—we discovered the error only after calling to confirm that our embryos were safely stored. What hurts most is not only losing a potential child, but also that we were not surprised. We had already noticed many warning signs, such as the clinic thawing an embryo of the wrong sex for our first transfer and trying to charge us fees we had already paid. These repeated errors had completely destroyed our trust in the clinic even before we learned that the embryos were gone. Despite this, we tried to move forward with grace and good faith. The clinic agreed to perform an egg retrieval at no charge, with the informal but clear understanding that communication, care processes, and organization would improve significantly. We regarded this as a handshake agreement. However, everything changed when we met again. We were told that we would be responsible for all medications, anesthesia fees, and insurance billing, and that treatment could not proceed unless we signed a nondisclosure agreement. After the meeting, we felt confused and uneasy and repeatedly tried to contact the clinic to obtain a copy of the agreement and discuss a reasonable compromise. We called four times but received no response. The clinic refused to meet with us or discuss any negotiation or clarification of the next steps. We then made the difficult decision to transfer to another clinic, and the difference has been remarkable. We feel valued and supported, communication is clear, and we believe we are receiving professional, compassionate care. Our experience at FAM left us feeling completely abandoned. We remained patient and understanding and were willing to work through serious mistakes, but we were ultimately pushed to the breaking point. No patient should be treated this way, especially during the physically and emotionally exhausting IVF process. If you are considering FAM, please explore other options. It is easy to convince yourself that poor treatment is worth enduring for the chance to have a child. But some clinics genuinely care about their patients and understand the significance of this process. You deserve better, and better options do exist. I encourage others to share their experiences so patients can make informed decisions. There have been far too many unacceptable experiences involving FAM.

We want to thank FAM and Dr. Bailey for guiding us through our fertility journey 🤍 My husband and I experienced recurrent pregnancy loss and felt like we could potentially never have a baby. We experienced another miscarriage during our time at FAM; we were treated with the upmost care and empathy by all staff. Whether it was checking in with the front desk, getting labs drawn, ultrasounds, procedures - the staff always had a smile to offer and treated us like family. Dr. Bailey sincerely cared about us, encouraged and counseled us through IVF, ultimately leading us to our precious rainbow baby. 🌈 Despite great losses, we did not give up, and neither did Dr. Bailey. We want to share these pictures as a glimmer of hope for other FAM patients. We hope and pray that you all have a Happy New Year 🤍

Dr. Brezina and Dr. Chappell were excellent. They provided the information, practical options, attention, and care we needed. As for the organization's communication: It is terrible. You can barely reach anyone, the automated system's email address does not work, and you can only leave a message for them to return whenever they choose. My wife needs surgery. We completed Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) forms and were told they would fax them to her employer. They did not. I am still waiting for a response, and she could lose her job. I need this resolved immediately.

I saw Amelia Bailey and do not know how she obtained her license. I would never recommend her. I would give zero stars if possible. I initially came to have my fertility evaluated and, unsurprisingly, got no answers. I had an SHG but still received no clear answer about whether my fallopian tubes were open, which I thought was the point of the test. I paid $400 out of pocket, and then they charged me another $400. I will dispute it. Nothing was clearly answered, and I would not recommend this clinic even to an enemy.

We are very fortunate to have Dr. Bailey and her family medicine team. My path to parenthood was difficult and unique, but with her guidance and continued support, we finally had the baby of our dreams! She listens patiently, is compassionate and approachable, and takes a realistic view of goals and expectations. These qualities are essential throughout a fertility journey. Given the limited choice of physicians in this city, I am very glad I chose her as my doctor, and she is now an important part of my daughter's life as she grows.

I have a question. I am a 25-year-old Hispanic woman and would like to know whether I can donate eggs at this fertility clinic.
    May 29, 2026
My wife received care for two months and three days before her procedure, only for them to suddenly decide they would no longer accept Tricare. They wasted two months of our time. Why did they not tell us sooner that they were dropping Tricare? Thank you for taking my money and then changing your mind at the last minute. This shows how little you care about active-duty service members. The most absurd part is that they advertise to military families, then suddenly change their minds and say, 'Never mind, we don't accept it.'

I will be reaching out to Nashville Fertility Center for a second opinion and to discuss transferring my care. I tested negative today at 8 days past transfer, and at this point, I no longer feel confident moving forward with FAM. I have two embryos remaining, and I want to make sure I am making the best possible decision before proceeding with another transfer. I do not feel comfortable continuing with my current physician. He has put me on many medications, yet my transfers continue to fail. I need someone who will provide individualized care, thoroughly review my profile and history, and actually help me. I only have two embryos left and cannot afford more failed transfers after trying everything and taking all the medications he prescribed. Something is being missed. This was a horrible experience. I should have known after the first failed transfer that this doctor did not have my best interests at heart. Although I was a returning patient, I was treated as a new patient and put on a standard protocol without my history with the previous doctor there being reviewed. That was the first red flag. The second was being placed on many medications that did absolutely nothing for me. I was essentially treated like a guinea pig in a trial-and-error process. I have only two embryos left, and I will not let him ruin them. Dr. Brezina was not a good fit for me. I understand that this is their job and they need to be paid, but they must understand that some people pay out of pocket and others use insurance. Please show some decency toward women experiencing infertility and do not use a one-size-fits-all approach for every patient. Under his care, I felt the ball was dropped every single time.
