The first time I called Audubon Fertility, the front-desk staff were rude and said they were too busy to take my patient information. They promised to call back but never did. I called again several days later, and the front-desk staff were rude again and claimed they were too busy. They said they would return my call shortly but did not call until 4-5 hours later. I paid a refundable $50 deposit to schedule an appointment but decided the next day not to use their services. I called for a refund and was told they would mail a check. When it had not arrived a week later, I called the manager, who said the payment was not in the accounting system but that she would handle it and mail the check. Another week passed. When I called again, I was told the manager was at lunch and would call back, but she never did.

My wife and I appreciate all the staff and their care. We had a poor IUI experience at another clinic, but Dr. Wells is a professional. Our HSG was very easy, painless, and quick. We highly recommend them to anyone on this journey.

Everything about this office has been a blessing. I wanted a boy for eleven years. After my husband and I chose this office, we were blessed with our baby boy. He is very smart. We have videos of him saying our names at two months old, saying "I love you," shaking hands, and clapping. It is so much fun, and we also have videos of his excited moments. He is spoiled and adored by us all. Thank you, Audubon. We will always be grateful.

The staff at Audubon Fertility are among the very best in their field. From the moment we entered the facility, we received the best care we could have hoped for. The compassion, energy, and clarity everyone showed during the difficult IVF process were deeply reassuring. Dr. Wells and Dr. Ulrich have created a positive culture that supports patients physically and emotionally. We will always be grateful for the miracle they brought us through years of care.

Several years ago, I underwent an HSG here. At the time, I did not know better or advocate for myself. Dr. Wells had a resident perform the HSG. The resident said he could not inject the dye and that the catheter kept coming out. Dr. Wells then told me both tubes were blocked and that IVF was my only option for pregnancy. About two weeks ago, I received a second opinion showing both tubes open and unobstructed. Honestly, I do not think they were ever blocked. I believe the resident did not know what he was doing and that Dr. Wells should have helped but did not. I left the appointment devastated after being told both tubes were blocked. For years, I felt discouraged and sad, believing I needed extremely expensive IVF. She did not explain what type of blockage it was or provide any information. My advice is to advocate for yourself and always seek a second opinion.

Absolutely outstanding staff who made me feel important! I honestly became attached to them because they always treated me so well. It is an all-women clinic, and every staff member is kind and welcoming. Dr. Ulrich and Dr. Wells are excellent, honest, and genuinely care about their patients. I love Audubon!

The facilities and communication are better than at other local clinics.

Dr. Wells and her wonderful staff helped create our beautiful family. From our first appointment to our last, we received compassionate, expert care. No question was too small to ask, and every interaction with the team was a pleasure. We are deeply grateful that they were part of our journey.

After a very poor experience at another local clinic, I came here for a second opinion. Because of my previous bad experience elsewhere, I was initially very guarded and prepared to advocate for myself. I felt extremely stressed before I even entered the building for my consultation. Thankfully, all that stress was unnecessary. I have had the most wonderful experience here. Dr. Wells and her staff are very kind and take the time to listen. I feel that everyone treats me like family and genuinely supports my success. I am currently pregnant after my first IVF cycle and am deeply grateful for Dr. Wells and her team’s wisdom and compassion.

Unfortunately, our experience with Audubon Fertility started well but quickly began to unravel. After our egg donor had her AMH and AFC tests, I repeatedly asked the clinic for the results. The clinic told me over the phone, “the results are fine,” but would not provide specifics. As paying clients, we were entitled to see these results, and it was frustrating that they withheld them for so long. When we finally received the test results, it was too late to make any changes to our plans. Upon consulting other clinics, we learned that our egg donor likely didn’t have enough time between stopping birth control and undergoing the egg retrieval. Audubon’s lack of transparency limited our ability to make an informed decision. Things continued to go wrong. When it came time for genetic testing, the clinic made a significant mistake. They filled out the paperwork as though our egg donor was anonymous, which meant we couldn’t obtain the combined genetic report from MYRIAD. While this mistake might seem small, it was just one of several errors made by Audubon throughout the process. The next issue arose when it was time for sperm collection. Months before our appointment, I asked what we needed to do to prepare. I was told, “nothing, you’re fine.” However, we later discovered we should have been taking vitamins to improve sperm quality, which Audubon never mentioned. While I could have researched this myself, I trusted the clinic’s guidance, which turned out to be a mistake. When we arrived for the physical examination, we were told we had to undress and undergo a full check, including a visual inspection of our genitals and feet. When I questioned this, the nurse explained it was an FDA requirement. I reached out to several friends who had been through surrogacy, both gay and straight, and none of them had been required to do this. I can't help but feel this extra step was due to the fact that we are a gay couple. The final straw was the egg retrieval process. Audubon scheduled the retrieval for a Monday, but we later learned that egg retrievals should be timed based on AMH levels, usually 34 to 36 hours after the trigger shot. When I asked the clinic how they managed to schedule the retrieval without monitoring AMH levels properly, the patient liaison said, “We schedule retrieval early in the 36-hour window.” This led to a high number of immature eggs being retrieved. After consulting two other clinics with exact dates and times, both agreed that the eggs had been retrieved too early. Overall, I feel that Audubon Fertility did not prioritize us as clients, and we ended up wasting both our time and money. We didn’t get many mature eggs, and unfortunately, our egg donor didn’t either. If you are part of the LGBT community and considering surrogacy, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. I genuinely believe that other clinics will provide better care, transparency, and respect for your time and resources.

I began IVF in November 2023 and had an embryo transfer in February 2024. By October 2024, I had a beautiful baby boy. I highly recommend Dr. Wells. The nurses were kind, answered all my questions, and explained the entire process thoroughly.

This clinic is unethical. Stay away. We were diagnosed with cancer at age 22 and preserved fertility, and we have now returned for follow-up care, which is usually covered by insurance or at least discounted. We asked repeatedly but received no direct answer. Conveniently, Esperanza called us back only after the cancellation deadline had passed. She contradicted herself several times and said we were ‘her first returning patients following a cancer diagnosis.’ We said we wanted to reschedule after asking oncology for a referral to improve the likelihood of insurance coverage, but they wanted to keep our deposit and said insurance likely would not cover it, despite the law requiring coverage. She apologized that their billing department was ‘too busy to contact us.’ Essentially, they wanted to keep a cancer patient’s deposit because they had mishandled the situation. It was clear that they wanted me to pay out of pocket because obtaining insurance coverage would require more work.

We traveled from North Carolina to see Dr. Isaacson for suspected Asherman's syndrome. Everyone was very kind, and we had a very positive experience.

I cannot express how grateful I am. After about seven years of infertility and multiple miscarriages, Dr. Ulrich answered my prayers when I thought no one could. I now have a beautiful six-month-old baby, and “thank you” is not enough. I highly recommend Audubon Fertility. Every staff member I met—some I truly got to know—was patient and compassionate, supporting me on my worst days and cheering me on during my best. It was a difficult journey, but Audubon Fertility was absolutely the best choice to walk it with me.

I had surgery today with Dr. Isaacson, and his skill was incredible. Even during a routine ultrasound, his estimate of postoperative scarring was remarkably accurate. He was thoughtful throughout the process, and I feel fortunate to have found him. The world is fortunate to have physicians like him.

I cannot praise this hospital enough. The doctors and entire staff at Audubon are excellent. I have never had a bad experience since beginning care here. They know you by name, answer questions promptly, and are always friendly and welcoming. From the moment you enter, you know you will receive attentive care. Thanks to Dr. Wells and everyone at Audubon, I safely delivered two beautiful baby boys. I am deeply grateful. Thank you all for making my dream come true.

My cousin was referred here. Someone on the phone named Esperanza or Esmeralda was somewhat aggressive. She explained that a $50 consultation would become $350 if insurance did not cover it. My cousin asked whether she could verify coverage to avoid surprises, but she replied that insurance did not work that way and hung up. It felt somewhat like soliciting customers.

I went to see Dr. Wells after trying to conceive for three years and experiencing two miscarriages. When I insisted on having some tests done, she was condescending, and while I was crying, she actually asked my husband, "Is she getting help for this on her own?" Before that, she had told me I had almost no chance of becoming pregnant without in vitro fertilization (IVF), even though she had not performed any tests. I refused to go back to her. Even if I truly needed IVF, I would not want to go through the process with someone like her. Ultimately, I became pregnant within a year and am now six months pregnant. I did not need IVF; my husband needed medication to increase his sperm count. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. She was condescending and completely lacked empathy, pushing IVF without understanding my overall situation. I have heard that the doctors at the Fertility Institute of New Orleans are at least kinder. Stay away from this clinic.

This clinic is extremely unreliable. My husband needed a procedure performed by Dr. Laborde, and they told us our insurance would not cover it, that they accepted cash only, and charged us a deposit of 2000 dollars. I later contacted the insurance company and learned that it was actually covered. I tried contacting both the insurance company and Audubon Fertility to find a way to use our out-of-network insurance benefits, but they were not helpful at all. We therefore had to cancel the procedure with Dr. Laborde and switch to Dr. Jenkins, delaying our entire in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle. When I went to Dr. Laborde's office to request a refund of the deposit, the staff were extremely rude. I recommend choosing Dr. Jenkins and the Fertility Center of New Orleans.
