I need to update my review: I had a very pleasant experience there last Tuesday, beginning with Patty, Sasha, Sonia, and Nanette. I was ultimately seen by Gwen Beetle. They were all very kind, helpful, and courteous. What a great office and outstanding staff. I want to share my latest experience. Vanessa S. and Sasha greeted me and were very courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. They completed all my paperwork, and I greatly appreciate their help. They were pleasant and excellent at what they did. I was then fortunate to receive help from nurse Nataliya, who was also very kind, helpful, and reassuring. I needed surgery and was under considerable stress, but all three—Vanessa S., Sasha N., and Nataliya—were excellent at their jobs. Weill Cornell, you are lucky to have these three. Please thank them for me because they are greatly appreciated. I would also be remiss not to mention Patricia at the front desk, who was also very kind and helpful. 😊

If you are fortunate enough to have an internist at Weill Cornell Primary Care, you will benefit from excellent physicians and their dedicated nursing teams.

My initial appointment with the doctor was very positive, and he was knowledgeable. However, this review concerns his billing manager. For the past two weeks, I have repeatedly called trying to reach them. They promised to call me back but still have not done so, and it has now been almost three weeks. During my annual preventive visit and first appointment with the doctor, I mentioned the thyroid cancer I had earlier this year and, as usual, answered the question, ‘Is there anything else I should know?’ because this was my first appointment. Before leaving, I asked the women at check-in whether everything was fine, and they said it was. About a week later, I received a $247 bill because I had discussed something outside preventive care—my thyroid cancer and another matter the doctor asked about! This was extremely opaque and unprofessional and needs improvement. Since then, they have tried to offer inadequate discounts for their mistake and lack of transparency.

Rude, racist receptionists who talk to their boyfriends on the phone instead of helping patients!

First, be sure to read every document carefully before signing it prior to treatment. Although WC is a UHC "partner" fertility provider, they will try to collect many fees in advance. These services may be covered by your insurance, so verify beforehand. If you sign the prepayment form and pay, they cannot help you recover any amount above the "covered" rate even if you submit the charge to your insurer. In my case, I was charged $415, while my insurance company said the services should have cost only $33. Because WC requires you to sign a prepayment responsibility form, they do not have to honor the $33 contracted rate. If you choose their services, which were "okay," carefully read everything you sign!

I have never written a review in my life, but I had to because I was so pleased with everything. I saw a recommendation for Dr. Irani on Reddit, and when I called Cornell, he had an opening the next day. I decided to try it, and it was the best choice. I loved how attentive and caring his team was. They took excellent care of me. Our egg-freezing process went very smoothly, and I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience and Dr. Irani's care. My husband and I highly recommend him!

Extremely disappointed and frustrated with NewYork-Presbyterian's billing department I rarely leave reviews, but the billing department's incompetence and negligence deserve mention. My PGT was canceled on May 9, 2025, four days after egg retrieval, making me fully eligible for a refund under their policy. I expected the stated 2–3-week refund process to go smoothly. It is now June 27, and I still have not received my refund—nearly two months later. I followed up on June 16 and spoke with a representative who casually told me my refund had been "pending since May 23 and she did not know why it was taking so long." She did not escalate or expedite it, merely telling me to "call back in a week." Today, June 27, I had to call again, only to hear from another representative that the refund request was still unresolved and had not even been submitted to the refund department. This is outrageous. Today's representative said she would forward it to that department. What is the point of a "refund policy" if it is completely ignored? Why tell patients to expect a refund in 2–3 weeks when you clearly do not intend to follow that policy? Worst of all, they never return calls even when they say they will. This disorganization, unprofessionalism, and lack of accountability are the last things I expected from NewYork-Presbyterian. You are dealing with patients already under enough stress—why turn a refund into an endless chase? I am deeply disappointed. This needs to improve.

I come here regularly for monitoring during IVF. They are fast—the blood draw process is organized, and the wait for ultrasounds is short. I recommend this clinic!

A close friend recommended this clinic, so I had high expectations, but the experience was profoundly disappointing. First, they charged about $1,000 for roughly 15 seconds with the doctor. Given the price and the deeply personal nature of the conditions they claim to treat, I expected more. The high-volume model clearly falls short, and I quickly concluded that profit was the clinic's priority. I had preauthorized tests to complete; Dr. Pfeifer claimed one had not been done and had to be repeated. I checked and found it had been completed, raising concern about another $2,500 charge. Second, the clinic feels like a factory or military operation. No one knows your name or reviews your chart. Abrupt nurses call you and recite a fixed process, while questions go unanswered. You are treated as a billing number with a uterus. Third, Dr. Pfeifer lacks good bedside manner. If you disagree or ask questions, she becomes defensive. At this price, especially in fertility care, humility is essential. Her answers to routine concerns were empty, and she redirected me to a constantly changing nursing team while prescribing hormones harmful to fertility. I did not even know how or at what cost to ask about the prescription. My final concern is WC's billing. Reviewers have mentioned this, and prospective patients should know that paying here means surrendering important rights. WC's law firm sends this notice: ‘Pursuant to New York General Business Law § 519(a), please be advised that when you use a credit card to make payment, you “waive” certain state and federal law rights applicable to medical debt, including protections related to interest rate limits, credit agency reporting, wage garnishment, and property liens.’ Paying WC by credit card therefore waives state and federal medical-billing protections created because billing abuse is widespread. In my view, this is not patient-centered, and the inefficient billing department makes matters worse. Absolutely avoid this clinic. I would not recommend it to anyone, friend or enemy. WC should be ashamed of exploiting women's desire for children for maximum profit.
