I highly recommend Chelsea Fertility Clinic. Dr. Hartog was patient and thorough when explaining the egg-retrieval process. She made me comfortable during both the consultation and procedure. The office was clean and welcoming, and the staff were very kind. Updated review for 2024: This remains an excellent office.

We tried twice, and they made mistakes. We spent about $42,000 on treatment and Spencer medications, but they never apologized. If they make a mistake, you pay for it. That is all; they do not care.

The best doctor and the best nurses. I had consultations at many places, but I chose this one because I believed it was the most reliable. The doctor seemed honest, the nurses were excellent at counseling, and the price was reasonable. Overall, I was very satisfied and achieved the best result.

Two beautiful children later...my husband and I are very grateful to Dr. Hartog and the nurses at Chelsea Fertility. It was wonderful to work with a smaller clinic where you always know who you are speaking with on the phone and which nurse is in the room with you. Great success! It changed our lives.

This was the best experience from start to finish that you could imagine. I cannot believe how fortunate I was. They treat you as a person, not a number—they are always available and very, very kind, which is clearly important in this field. The nurses, Lexi and Natasha, are extremely supportive and do everything possible to make you comfortable. You will be well cared for here. They make everything easy and make you feel like their only patient.

I spent 2024 with them, and it was a wonderful experience: the treatment, the clinic's cleanliness, the systems that made everything easy, and the star, Dr. Beth Hartog, an excellent person whose assistants were all very friendly and attentive. For Spanish speakers, our beloved Stefanny was my right hand throughout the process 🤍 I thank every one of them.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Chelsea Fertility. We did reciprocal IVF and had no idea what to expect. I was 42 and did not even know whether pregnancy was possible. Dr. Kindorf recommended a gentler protocol that would not overstimulate my body, and it worked!! Dr. Kindorf and nurse Natasha made the emotional ups and downs much easier. Natasha was very kind and empathetic whenever we felt low, which we greatly appreciated. Stephanie at the front desk was very helpful; we called many times with questions, and she always did her best to help and returned every call. The clinic is also laid out efficiently, so monitoring appointments were quick. Words cannot express our gratitude. We recently graduated and are overjoyed. Choosing Chelsea Fertility was the best decision we ever made. Thank you for helping us build our family!!

This place is a scam. I went for a consultation because they were in my insurance network. They sent my blood work to an out-of-network facility, resulting in a $14,000 bill. Now they are pressuring me to pay and demanding that I provide proof that they obtained my consent. Avoid this place if you do not want to be scammed.

I wish I could give zero stars. My experience at Chelsea Fertility NYC was terrible—completely unprofessional and disrespectful! I had one of my worst experiences during the egg-donation process at Chelsea Fertility. After everything was completed, I was suddenly told compensation would take 6 to 12 weeks, something never mentioned verbally, in writing, or in the contract. When I questioned this, the doctor told me she "had no idea how payment works." How is that acceptable, or even legal, for a medical professional overseeing the process? Everyone I contacted afterward was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. They take advantage of donors who undergo a physically and emotionally exhausting process, then act as though we do not deserve answers or respect. I felt completely used and disrespected. I traveled extensively, spent time away from family, and risked my health, only to receive no information about payment and be treated like a nuisance. If you are considering donating here, be very careful. Get everything in writing and protect yourself, because this clinic clearly stops caring about donors once it receives the donation. I will update this after I am paid.

The office, including the waiting and examination rooms, has a warm, pleasant atmosphere, and the staff are very welcoming and attentive.

We worked with Dr. Hartog several times for IVF egg retrievals, hysteroscopy, and frozen embryo transfers. She is an excellent physician who patiently answers every question and is more proactive than most doctors in helping us explore alternatives. This personalized approach is truly rare in a smaller clinic. Natasha is also an outstanding nurse who provided tremendous support and was always willing to answer questions and ease our anxiety. IVF can be difficult, so having a caring medical team is essential!

I am writing this review for my mother. She was so pleased with the service that she wants the entire family to write one! My mother is one of the most particular people I know, so if she is satisfied, it is a 10 out of 10, and I am happy too! If I ever need a referral, I would definitely return.

I am very happy and grateful for the service this clinic provides. Thanks to them, I can wait for my little angel with peace of mind. Everyone is very kind and welcoming, especially Stephanie! The doctor is also exceptionally kind and treats people like family. Overall, everyone is wonderful. 10 out of 10!

I came to Chelsea Fertility hoping to use my generous insurance benefit for elective egg freezing. About ten minutes into my late-January visit, while I was still trying to understand the hastily explained process, Dr. Gindoff said his financial team had verified that my insurance covered only medication. He suggested putting money in an “escrow account” and paying the rest myself. I wanted to cry because I had researched my benefits carefully. Financial representative “Milla” showed me photocopies suggesting the cycle could cost me over $8,000. Although it felt wrong, Dr. Gindoff comforted me and suggested at least doing bloodwork, leaving me embarrassed for crying. I immediately contacted the Anthem representative for my employer plan. She confirmed elective egg freezing was covered and sent Chelsea Fertility a letter proving it. I continued working with a CF specialty nurse on medication; fortunately it went to the wrong pharmacy and was never dispensed. CF billing still insisted I lacked coverage, despite receiving my representative’s direct details, and called the letter insufficient. On February 11, “Monica” in CF billing said Anthem told her I was not covered, ignoring the representative who had explained everything. I arranged a three-way call. After Anthem again clearly confirmed coverage, Monica raised her voice and complained that insurers tell patients and providers different things. Anthem said she had previously offered Milla the exact billing codes, but Milla declined them (?!). Stunned, I ended the call, found another clinic, and told Chelsea Fertility I was leaving. You might think that was the end, since no means no, but On February 12, Dr. Gindoff called. He apologized for billing but again insisted I lacked coverage. He interrupted my response, so I hung up. He called again (?!) and left a message asking me to continue, “deposit $5,000 into escrow and then wait for the insurance explanation of benefits,” and tell them “if you can start treatment this week.” This was gaslighting at its worst. Avoid this clinic if you do not want a breakdown or plan to use insurance. Fortunately, I quickly found another one.

This clinic felt suspicious, misleading, and financially predatory. Before my appointment, I called, provided my insurance information, and specifically asked about IUI costs. I have lifetime fertility coverage, so paying out of pocket made no sense. Other clinics clearly itemized costs upfront, making this clinic's approach unacceptable. Only after I arrived did they say the laboratory portion of IUI alone would cost about $1,500 out of pocket. Had they disclosed this initially, I would not have wasted my time. I declined, but things worsened. After clearly saying I would not proceed, I received a huge Labcorp bill for basic blood tests that I had undergone many times before, including at Labcorp, with full insurance coverage. I have several tests each month, and when I called Labcorp they immediately identified my Aetna plan from my name. After I rejected the overpriced self-pay testing, routine labs were suddenly billed to me. It felt as if the clinic kept looking for ways to take my money, and other reviews suggest I am not alone. Protect your time and dignity and stay away. Update: Their response makes no sense. As stated, these were routine blood tests, and I had not received any fertility treatment. You had my insurance but deliberately did not use it so you could take the money yourself. Labcorp confirmed this when I called. Reviews from five years ago describe the same issue. Some things never change.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Beth Hartog at the Chelsea clinic. From the moment I entered, I was impressed by how clean, organized, and welcoming the clinic was. Every staff member was kind, respectful, and genuinely caring, which immediately put me at ease. Dr. Hartog is an outstanding physician: warm, compassionate, knowledgeable, and approachable. She took the time to listen to my concerns, answered all my questions, and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. Her professionalism and expertise made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout the consultation. Before my appointment, I had heard many positive things about Dr. Hartog, and those reviews encouraged me to seek her care. After meeting her, I fully understand why so many patients speak so highly of her. I strongly recommend Dr. Hartog to anyone hoping to build a family or facing fertility challenges. Although my treatment journey is just beginning and I am still awaiting the outcome, my experience so far has been excellent. Based on her reputation, expertise, and the success stories I have heard from other patients, I feel confident about my care and would recommend her to family and friends without hesitation. Thank you to Dr. Hartog and the entire Chelsea medical team for providing such compassionate, professional care. Your efforts have made a profound difference in my healthcare experience.

I really wanted to like this place, but it was a complete disappointment. Everyone's experience is different, and I hope yours is too. I do not recommend this facility. During my egg-freezing cycle, the office was disorganized and lacked transparency. When I started my cycle, I had to scramble with them to order medication, which was very stressful. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic that I later learned I was allergic to. After my retrieval, the office prescribed it again, even after I told them about my reaction. Important information in my records was incorrect. After I asked them to correct it, they said they had, but never did. They did not contact me with my results after the retrieval; when I called the nurse, she sounded annoyed that she had to answer my questions. Dr. Hartog could not perform my actual retrieval and only told me about a day before the procedure that a male doctor would do it. On retrieval day, another woman and I were scheduled back-to-back, and I was recovering in a small, nonprivate room when she came in. It was awful.
