Fertility Preservation and Oncofertility
Dr. Goldschlag has expertise caring for patients who wish to preserve or extend fertility through CRM's fertility-preservation services. In addition to embryo preservation, recent advances in cryopreservation have made oocyte (egg) and embryo freezing viable options for women. Oocyte freezing is especially helpful for women who wish to preserve eggs for future use or who need medication that may impair ovarian function. Dr. Goldschlag also has extensive experience caring for women who hope to conceive after cancer treatment (oncofertility).
Minimally Invasive Surgery and Disorders of Delayed Sexual Development
Dr. Goldschlag is an expert in advanced surgical approaches, particularly minimally invasive techniques. These techniques can benefit patients with uterine abnormalities, recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, menstrual disorders, and anatomical causes of infertility, including blocked fallopian tubes, adhesions or scar tissue, endometrial polyps, and uterine fibroids. He is also an authority in treating young women with conditions affecting normal sexual development, including premature ovarian failure and delayed puberty.
Dr. Goldschlag has published and spoken on a broad range of reproductive health topics. His current research focuses on early oocyte development and cryopreservation of oocytes and ovarian tissue. He recently published a pioneering article on retrieving and preserving eggs from a prepubertal young woman before chemotherapy.
