Originally from Kansas City, Dr. Kort earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Columbia University in New York. At Columbia, he conducted research with the New York Stem Cell Foundation on genetic errors in early embryonic development.
He is board-certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Kort has also served as a clinical instructor in obstetrics and gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College.
When he is not helping women and couples conceive, Dr. Kort stays busy making oatmeal, changing diapers, and chasing his three young children around Central Park with his wife, Lesley.

Dr. Jeff Wang is amazing, and so is the rest of the practice. There is no better IVF clinic in the eastern half of North America. I almost hesitate to write a positive review because more people will go there and make appointments harder to get, but this practice truly deserves an A+ and every bit of extra credit.
Every good thing you have read about them is true, and then some. Expertise, patience, and kindness define how they operate. If you are uninsured, the only other clinic worth considering is CNY, but even then Neway is worth it.
If you want a family and want things done properly while being treated with dignity, this is the practice to choose.

Dr. Wang is the reason I am now 14 weeks pregnant!
After two failed cycles at other clinics, where I felt like a number, I was in a dark and hopeless place. I consulted more than six doctors nationwide, and from the moment I met Dr. Wang, I knew he was different. He is compassionate, humble, brilliant, and takes time to answer every question.
Earlier this year I wanted to give up. Although he was across the world attending his mother’s funeral, Dr. Wang wrote me a long, heartfelt email encouraging me to keep going. That email gave me the hope I needed, and he was right: our first transfer with him worked!
Dr. Wang’s care is unmatched. He personally performs every scan, retrieval, and transfer, and his gentle touch made my recovery much smoother than my past experiences. His nurse Cecilia and the rest of the team are equally incredible—organized, supportive, and attentive to every detail.
If you want a doctor who genuinely cares, offers a personalized treatment plan, and provides VIP care—especially if you are older or have endometriosis—Dr. Wang is the best IVF doctor in the country. He made my dream of becoming a mother come true, and I will always be grateful!

I had a 15-minute Zoom call with Dr. Wang in 2022, did not particularly like him, and never met him in person. About 2.5 years later, billing contacted me for the first time to say I owed $50 for the call, even though they had billed my insurance. Of all my consultations with surrogacy agencies and IVF clinics, this was the only one that charged me—and did so two and a half years later. What a shady, disorganized business. I am glad I did not entrust my fertility and embryos to someone so chaotic. Garbage.

I highly recommend Dr. Wang at Neway Fertility. He is kind, listens well, and has an excellent bedside manner. I became pregnant in my first treatment round. I had previously been treated at a very large fertility clinic, but my experience at Neway was far better because I felt like an individual rather than a number. Dr. Wang and other staff personally respond to emails and answer every question. When my insurance did not cover monitoring, Dr. Wang offered to perform my ultrasounds at no charge. That level of outstanding service is unheard of. You will not regret choosing Neway.

I cannot recommend Dr. Wang and Neway Fertility highly enough. Dr. Wang is among the top 0.5% of healthcare providers I have encountered: exceptionally attentive to detail, a medical expert, an excellent communicator with a superb bedside manner, compassionate, and willing to go above and beyond for his patients. The practice as a whole is also extremely well run. As a patient with endometriosis, I could not have found a better doctor.

I have premature ovarian insufficiency and had undetectable AMH at age 32. Being in the bottom 1–2% of the fertility bell curve has been one of the most unexpected and exhausting experiences of my life. Dr. Kort and his Neway team gave me exceptional care, empathy, individualized treatment, expert guidance, and most importantly, hope. I previously had a failed cycle at RMA in New York and only now realize how poorly it was managed. I wish I had begun my journey at Neway, but I am grateful I found them. Dr. Kort was present for every monitoring visit, which is unheard of in a city this densely populated. He closely tracked my changing results throughout the cycle and consistently gave informed, thoughtful, individualized recommendations, ultimately helping me retrieve and store several mature eggs. Near the end, I worried that I might ovulate early, but unlike RMA, he promptly applied the latest research to ensure that did not happen. His nurses and coordinators share his expertise, knowledge, and empathy. When I became concerned about weight gain and bloating after retrieval, I called the after-hours line, and his nurse Arianna immediately provided expert guidance and reassurance. As a veterinary practitioner, I like to think I give my patients thoughtful, up-to-date advice tailored to their unique needs, and I am grateful to have found a fertility team that did the same for me. My journey is far from over and nothing is guaranteed, but especially after my poor experience at RMA, I can breathe easier knowing I did everything possible under Neway's excellent care. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

My honest experience at Neway Fertility—please read if you are considering this clinic
Without question, my experience at Neway Fertility was the worst medical experience of my life.
I first underwent IUI and then IVF. I became pregnant but unfortunately experienced a loss. Afterward, Dr. Jeffrey Wang recommended a biopsy to test for endometriosis. I paid $2,500 for the test. It was negative, but he insisted it was a false negative, which made no sense. If a negative result could not be trusted, why perform the test?
Based on his interpretation, he recommended a more invasive and expensive procedure, which I was not comfortable undergoing without further clarity. I sought a second opinion at Columbia Fertility, where I was told that the biopsy he performed was outdated and no longer used. They conducted a more accurate test and confirmed that I do not have endometriosis.
The entire experience left me feeling misled and emotionally drained. Neway's protocols seemed outdated, and I continually felt pushed toward unnecessary procedures.
Worse, more than a year later I received a $1,000 embryo storage bill even though I had paid all fees and had nothing in storage.
Fertility treatment is already emotionally difficult. Patients deserve professional, compassionate, evidence-based medical guidance. Sadly, that was not my experience here.
If you are beginning this journey, please be cautious. I sincerely hope others can avoid what I experienced.

Thanks to Desiree and Dr. Kort, I had a wonderful experience today! Desiree is the only person who has drawn my blood without hurting me. She was so gentle and precise that I barely felt anything. Most importantly, she took time to answer all my questions and truly put me at ease. She was kind and patient and kept me comfortable throughout. Dr. Kort is truly the best. He always explains everything thoroughly and ensures I understand my treatment plan. It is clear that they both genuinely care about their patients, and I am very grateful for their expertise and compassion!

After struggling with secondary infertility, experiencing multiple miscarriages, and seeing many specialists, I found Neway Fertility, and it changed my life. From my first visit with Dr. Kort, I no longer felt alone on this journey. His bedside manner is incredible: he is patient and responsive and tailors every medical decision to your specific needs. I saw Dr. Kort at every appointment, his nursing team supported me through the hardest time in my life, and I rarely waited in the office. Transferring embryos, completing every procedure, and ultimately receiving my discharge paperwork were all effortless. If I could, I would give Neway Fertility 10 stars, because "graduating" and leaving them was a very emotional moment. From the moment you walk through their automatic glass doors, you feel their care—something almost impossible to find in a large city like New York.

We worked with Dr. Kort and his wonderful team. We are now 9 weeks pregnant, and the entire process has been excellent. Our first transfer failed, but the second was successful. Everyone there is very kind and helpful. I transferred here from Mount Sinai, and it was the best decision we ever made. Thank you, Neway!

My cycle wasn’t properly managed and I unfortunately developed OHSS and was rushed to the ER the day of retrieval. Despite multiple attempts to raise my concerns that I was sensitive to hormones and had hyper responsive ovaries, I was prescribed an aggressive amount of trigger shot, leading to OHSS and excruciating pain for days. Even more unbelievably, after that episode, Dr. Kort prescribed the exact same trigger in the exact same dosage for my transfer cycle (despite my explicit wishes for a natural cycle). I was stunned.
Also, please note since it’s a small clinic with only two doctors, coupled with the fact the lab does not work on weekends, embryos transfers can only take place during the week. If you want a natural transfer, it’s better to look elsewhere for an institution with more staff and infrastructure that can actually perform a “natural” cycle. I was repeatedly pushed and guilted into doing a medicated cycle, despite my stated goal for a natural one, and even after my OHSS episode.

I had a wonderful experience at Neway Center.
This was my first IVF attempt, so initially I did not know what to expect. Fortunately, the warm and welcoming environment quickly put me at ease.
Dr. Kort explained everything clearly and was honest about the possibilities.
Although the process was sometimes emotional, at every stage I felt confident that Dr. Kort would do everything possible to help me become pregnant. Working with his excellent team was also a pleasure.
I am now pregnant with a baby girl. I highly recommend Neway Center to anyone seeking a personalized fertility plan in a professional and compassionate environment.

Dr. Wang at Neway Fertility truly changed my life. When I first came to him, I was frightened and desperate, with no idea what my chances of success were. From our first meeting, he was very kind, patient, and respectful. He never dismissed my fears and always explained everything in clear, simple terms, making me feel reassured rather than overwhelmed.
What impressed me most was how genuinely he cared for his patients. He never treated me as a case or a number. He made me feel like a person going through a major turning point in life. He understood how deeply I wanted to become a mother, which had always been my dream, and treated that wish with tremendous care and genuine understanding.
When I had almost lost hope, his calm confidence gave me renewed hope. I had only one embryo, and now I am 13 weeks pregnant with a baby boy! I went to Dr. Kory and Neway to freeze my eggs for future use. I did not know what to expect because I had never researched egg freezing. I was pleasantly surprised by how simple and affordable the process was. The overall experience was excellent, and Dr. Kory retrieved more eggs than I expected. He had an excellent bedside manner and put me at ease. He was direct about the procedure and realistic about how many eggs we could expect at my age. The staff were highly responsive, and I never felt uninformed. The entire process took only one or two months, and I always knew the next steps. Highly recommended!

I went to RMA on my OB-GYN's recommendation, and it was a complete waste of a year. I then found Dr. Kory through Google, and he is one of the best, most pleasant, and most practical doctors I have met. I trust his expertise and am happy to work with him through my IVF journey.
