Biography
Dr. David E. Reichman is an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive medicine at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. A board-certified specialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, he graduated with honors from Yale University, earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, and completed his OB/GYN residency at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Reichman then completed fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is dual board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. Reichman has received numerous awards for clinical excellence, surgical expertise, and medical research, including the William J. Ledger Award (Cornell University), Emans-Goldstein Award (Harvard University), Outstanding Teaching Award (Harvard University), and Special Resident Award in Minimally Invasive Surgery (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists). In 2013, he received the American Society for Reproductive Medicine's prestigious K.Y. Cha Award in Stem Cell Technology. In 2014, he received the Jones Foundation's Abby and Howard Milstein Award for Research in Reproductive Medicine and the Fertility and Sterility Star Reviewer Award. In 2018, and again in 2023, Cornell medical students honored him with the medical school's Award for Excellence in Medical Education.
Dr. Reichman specializes in all aspects of reproductive medicine, including IVF/ICSI, high and low response to ovarian stimulation, fertility preservation, egg freezing, oocyte donation, ovulation induction, amenorrhea, polycystic ovary syndrome, recurrent pregnancy loss, male infertility, LGBT reproductive services, and prevention of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. He is also an expert surgeon who performs minimally invasive hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures to treat endometrial and ovarian conditions. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Reichman speaks nationally and internationally on a wide range of reproductive health topics and is actively involved in medical research, with 27 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and 9 textbook chapters. He has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics and Fertility & Sterility.
